i am a oracle dba having 1.5 years of experience
i want to jump into oracle apps
so which profile will be good for me
oracle apps technical consultant or oracle apps dba profile
plz let me know i am very confused,i can't decide on this one plz help me out...?

These are not universal technical terms with clear meanings. ALL job titles mean only what the person/organization using them means for them to mean.
Which will be good for you?

Hi Aasma,
The standard BI Publisher is part of EBS applications.
Most of the EBS reports(R12) are based on BI Publisher.
If you check the responsibility 'XML Publisher Administrator' you will see all the templates used in the application.
Your technical team should already know this.
On the other hand OBIEE would need separate licences.
But for you BI Publisher would do.

I'm working with oracle forms & reports 10g, OAF (only new pages creation), as well as i have some functional knowledge in manufacturing domain.
Now i have assigned as apps technical in new project.
what should i need to know to become apps technical consultant ?
i think i want to know forms customization, personalization.if yes means give me tutorial or web link to learn those things and tell me clearly what i need to know.

What are the certification needed as oracle apps technical consultant?

Hi all ,
I am working as Oracle apps technical consultant .I would like to know what are the certifications available related to the modules,INV,PO,AR,AP,GL modules .Whether there are any certification exams are there for Technical consultants? .Recently I have written an exam for OCA (Oracle Certified Associate,version 9i ) and interested to write certification exams related to my technology.Currently we are using the EBS 11.5.10.2 version.

Can any please give me some idea about the difference between Oracle Applications DBA (apps dba) and Oracle ERP Consultant.
Which career is most rewarding one in terms of Salary, Job Security and Least amount of work
I am working as Core DBA which career will be most suited to me and easy to learn
Which Module of Oracle ERP is most used and would be suited for me

Since "easy" and "least work" seem important to you, I'd suggest a career in something besides IT. I could make some specific suggestions but run the risk of insulting people who work in those areas.
