Oracle D2k Downloads - Version 6i

Hi,
In our office one of our pc was worn out and d2k source
files in the server were not able to open in another system for that
we need to install the below D2k6i Version of Report;
Report Builder 6.0.8.24.0
if we try to open the file it shows the below error
+"Warning: Opening a report saved with a newer version of Report Builder.+
+Functionality may be lost. Continue? "+
Currently we are using *"Report Builder 6.0.8.11.3"*
is it possible to download the previous versions?
Pls Help...
Stanleel...

You should not be getting a "saved with a newer version" error if the original was last saved within the same major version. So, opening in 6.0.8.11 should be possible if the file was last saved in 6.0.8.24. It sounds more like the file was saved in a newer version (9 or 10 or 11). In this case, you would not be able to work with it in 6 any longer.
You asked for an "older" version. What you need is a "newer" version. The latest version is 11.1.2. Only versions 11.1.1.x and 11.1.2 are entitled to Error Correction Support. Older versions have been desupported.
Newer versions are available from here:
For version 10 of Developer Suite and 11.1.2 of FusionMiddleware (includes Forms/Reports):
<li>http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html
For version 11.1.1.x:
<li>http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11-download-092893.html
If however, what you are seeing is just a warning and not a failure to open the file, you may need to simply apply the latest (last) patch for 6.0.8, which is only available through MyOracleSupport on the "Patches" tab or by contacting Oracle Support.

  • Is Oracle free download version restricted?

I know Oracle allow us free download.
But i also know Oracle for Enterprise version is expensive.
Then , is any difference between Enterprise Release version and Free Download version?
    Is free downloaded restricted?

The only difference is the license. If you want to develop your application, you can download all the software you need. If you want to deploy it, however, you'll need to buy the appropriate licenses.

  • Current Oracle XE download version "new"?

I have been happily using Oracle XE for development on Windows since Dec-2005; it reports its Database Version as:
Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Beta
Looking at Oracle downloads, I see that what is available is labeled as:
    Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1)
    Express Edition for Microsoft Windows
My question: is the version available for download now newer than what I have? The version numbers appear to be the same. But the size of the download file is larger than the original file I downloaded.
If it is new, how can I get a sense of changes, so I can judge whether updating what I am using for development is appropriate?
If I should update ... ah ... how does one go about updating Oracle XE?
    Thanks,
    Emby

Looks like you are using a beta version, so of course you should go up to a regular release. You wouldn't want to release something that was developed with beta software, right?
I dont think there's an upgrade path from beta to RTM version. You need to install anew.

  • Oracle JDeveloper 10g version 9.0.5.2 download

    Dear All,
I am not able to download Oracle JDeveloper 10g version 9.0.5.2 which supports application migration assistance. Please let me know the link from where I can download the same.
    Thank You very much,
    Pabitra Dash

You might want to try out version 10.1.2 which is the same base code as 9.0.5, but with bug fixes.

  • What I can do with the free download version of Oracle 10g?

I'm new to Oracle. What can/can't do with the free download of Oracle 10g Release 2? What is the difference between Oracle 10g Release 2 and Express edition?

Express Edition has limits on the number of CPUs it'll utilize (it essentially forces itself to run single-threaded), amount of RAM it'll utilize and amount of data it will store. It is missing many of the higher level security and maintenance features you would find if you wanted to be highly available.
The downloadable version of Enterprise Edition is missing none of these, however the license states that you can only use the that version for development purposes.
I suspect you can also use the downloadable version to educate yourself on how the various features work, but it doesn't specifically say that in the license and I'm not a license expert.

  • In Trouble with the Oracle JDBC Driver version - 10.1.0.5.0

    Hi !
Without any problems i'm using the Oracle JDBC Driver version - 10.1.0.3.0 to access to the
Oracle database (Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production).
But exchanging the JDBC Driver 10.1.0.3.0 to 10.1.0.5.0 brings up the following problem:
    the statement
         con.prepareStatement(sql, resultSetType, resultSetConcurrency, resultSetHoldability)
         (with parameters resultSetType = 1003, resultSetConcurrency = 1007, resultSetHoldability= 1)
    returns null !
while using the Oracle JDBC Driver version - 10.1.0.3.0 the statement (with same parameters)
    returns a correct PreparedStatement.
Every hint or idea is welcome.
    Best regards,
    Claus

    Claus,
Pardon me if I am stating the obvious, but why don't you use the 10.2 JDBC driver with your 10.2 database? The driver is part of the database distribution. Otherwise, you can download the driver from the OTN Web site.
    Good Luck,

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle 10g AS version 10.2.1.0.2 on my machine. Oracle Database is also on the same machine. I am trying to incorporate the Look & Feel functionality in a demo application. I have downloaded the Look & Feel project from the net. This does not use jInitiator. It uses the Sun Java Jre 1.4 instead. I have created a config in the formsweb.cfg also, however, when i run the form it gives me error;
    500 Internal Server Error
    Forms Servlet Error.
Please check the servlet configuration to make sure this value specifies a valid file.
    The config is as below;

Can anyone please help what should i do to get over with this problem.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Look for the pathset at metalink. The patchset includes a README file that details the procedure. You should read it through, since there are several notes you should be aware of and you should determine if the particular upgrade procedures apply to your specific environment.
One more thing, I suggest you to upgrade to 10.2.0.4.0, the latest patchset available for this platform.

Also I have one doubt can I directly run the below patch to upgrade, as I have installed OAM 10.1.4.0.1 for Web component(webpass, webgate and policy manager). or only upgrade the webgate OAM 10.1.4.2. Identity and Access Server installed version 10.1.4.3.

I went through the process to download Oracle 8i personal version and I was unsuccessful. I then contacted the support desk and I was advised that 8i was no longer supported. • UIX 2.1.7 Developers Guide - Downloadable Version?

Hi! I am new to UIX and I am fascinated by its capabilities and the cool look and feel features. I want to gets some hands on to developing using ADF-UIX technology. Could you please point to a "Downloadable Version of UIX Developer Guide?
    Thanks
    Ambica

The developer guide chapters are included in Jdeveloper help, as well as in our online documentation area...
    http://helponline.oracle.com/jdeveloper/help/state/content/navSetId.jdeveloper/navId.4/vtTopicFile.jdeveloper%7Cuixhelp%7Cuixdevguide%7Cdevguidetoc%7Ehtml/
JDeveloper provides visual editors for UIX pages and wizards for developing ADF based applications, and hence is the right tool to try out UIX.
There is no downloadable version of UIX developer guide.
