Oracle Discoverer Report issue

One of the report in our setup takes 3 hours on specific day on week , any other day it runs normal.
from where to start to diagnose that issue ?

The report is on a different data base ... need to create a process to get the data into the view behind the report and then materialized view in Apex etc .Then recreate the same report in Apex. But I am trying use the disc report url to invoke the report directly from apex.
Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly aprreciated.

Click on the Certify tab
Click on the second link "View certification by Platform"
If it isn't there then it is not certified.
That is the answer to the question you asked.
My advice is still that you get a decent operating system: Certified or not.

Yogini is correct, but the solution provided will remove drill capability for all users under all circumstances. This is a "shortcoming" of Disco. If you set up a hierarchy for the users to use for drilling, the users must have the drill out privilege. This has the additional effect of adding the "Drill to related..." feature to most (and I believe all) columns.

Printing issue in Oracle discoverer report

Hi Experts,
As usual many thanks for all your support in advance.
We are facing an issue in printing the discoverer report.
When we ran the discoverer report, we are getting the output, in a perfect way.
But when we try to print the report, the report is printing with junk characters.
We tried printing this report in multiple printers with multiple log in but of no luck.
could you please help me on this

Oracle Discoverer report shows drilldown icon in Web version

Hi ,
I am trying to create a new CROSS TAB Discoverer report. I made all my development done using the Discoverer desktop edition and is fine. When I saved in the database and showed the same report the User, in the Web Version, the report shows ' >' icon in all the cross tab headings and when the cursor is moved there, it gives an option to Drill down.
We have 3 fields which are selected but not shown in the report. It shows the drill down to those 3 fields.
My questions is:
1. I should not allow users to drill down. It should not show that option.
How to disable that option in the Web Version.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Oracle Discoverer report pulls incorrect result when scheduled.

Recently the database was migrated to 10.1.2 RAC from 9.2.0.6, so the discoverer EUL is now resides on new database.
after migration the report which pulls correct results when run interactively is pulling incorrect result when scheduled in Discoverer.
This report used sysdate and aggregate functions, i had ran the same report simultaneously( Directly in Discoverer Desktop/Plus and scheduled in discoverer), but the data retrieved in both case is not matching.

i am having trouble opening a specific report in Discoverer plus . i get an error " Contact with the discoverer server has been lost, Contact applications Server administrator"
this happens only when i try to open a specific report. i am able to open all other reports.
can someone help me to open this report or even find a way to retrieve the sql and calculations used in this report. it is a very important report and we need to send it out to clients pretty soon.

I have created a data worksheed based on a a folder created on above view. As soon as i create a worksheet it starts executing, hence i am not able to create calculations for this report . Can you please suggest how can i proceed on this.

Hi,
You can set the option in Tools > options > Uncheck 'Run query automatically'. Now, try to create the report, it should not start running query.
By the way, you can still allow the query to run, and then add a calculation from
Edit > Edit Worksheet > Calculations.

Oracle Discoverer LOV issue

Hi,
I am new to discoverer scenario. I need to implement a conditional selection in the LOV.
Scenario:
Project_Status_LOV with values :- Active, Closed, Transferred etc..
User should select 'Active' as one option, other statuses clubbed together as other option.
I selected the checkbox('Let User Enter Multiple Values).
Now user is able to select all the options together, which i want to avoid. How can i do that?

You cannot do what you are asking. The user can either select one value from an LOV or if the checkbox is ticked multiple values. You cannot group values together in a LOV.
So you could use 2 LOVs and use the cascading LOVs feature. So the first LOV has 2 values, Active and Non-Active, and the second LOV has 5 values. The second LOV would be linked to the first LOV so that only the Active value would be shown if Active had been selected in the first LOV. To do this you would set up a calculated item in the folder which returned either Active or Non-Active and build attach your first LOV to this item.

Viewing the discoverer reports through portal

How can i view oracle discoverer reports through portal .Suppose
i have portal page where i want to create few links on clicking
of which these reports are renderer on the portal.
What configuration is required for doing this ? i mean to enable
the discoverer view what steps are required and what url is
given .

The cluster server element 125898350 is not added in the EP cluster context,
because prtbridge on 125898350 is stopped or not yet started
(maybe the server is starting or shuting down).
We have implemented the FPN using RRA.
This error comes only for few users when they navigate in Portal. After clearing the cache, it works for all. Kindly help us to resolve this issue.
