Oracle installer scripts in Delivery wizard is disabled in Project builder
Hi,
I have oracle forms 6i installed on my system. However, I was trying to builld installer scripts for my project. So I open the deliver wizard in Project builder. Select all the parameters, like project name/directory etc.and then when I reach the option of creating installer scripts, it is disabled while the others like,
Deliver to local staging, Deliver to a remote staging etc is enabled.
Any ideas, why I the installer scripts are disabled.?

I read in the Oracle manual under the Guidelines for Building Applications
in the section Managing Your Application the following statement about project builder:
"Remember that you can automate the running of test scripts just as you can automate actions associated with the modules in your application.
How would one do this???

My Project ready for delivery but unable to deploy using Oracle Installer
I used Project Builder for make my project ready for delivery.
As normal way of deploying Application is based on the instruction using the project builder and Oracle installer.
But when i attempt to used Oracle installer, the from look up menu box it doest appear my project application.
Is there any way i can test and load my application. Currently my project application still resides on Bin directory that every time is used to open my project, it always passed on the obecject navigator i want to hide all this things.
Can canyone help me>>

How to automate creating installation script?
SQLDeveloper has a nice tool which would create installation script for a database application: Deploying an Oracle Database Application However it is not automatic - you have to choose objects to export and tables to dump rows every time you create an export script. Is there a way to automate it or maybe another tool to create an installation script? I though of Introducing oraddlscript | devioblog but it doesn't seem to create a file invoking creating all other objects in the appropriate order. Oracle exp tools are also inappropriate because I need a seperate file for each object so that I could commit them to SVN and keep track of changes.
DDL Wizard Seems fine, but it required Oracle export using exp. And exp cannot export tables with BINARY_DOUBLE columns or nested tables. And installing Oracle Database link is not about installing application.

Oracle Installation 9.2.0.1 on AIX 5.3
Installation of 9.2.0.1 and patch to 9.2.0.6 enterprise edition. I Do not have to create a database, just have to install software only. Run the installer with the ignoreSysPrereqs option.

I'm trying to do that through Jump Box First I went to abc.test.com website and then launch terminal services client session for Jump Box, from jump box I have login to the server (abc_test 10.15.79.50) through SSH client. I have provided the IP address 10.1.217.1 (JUMP BOX IP) as a DISPLAY variable but while launching the setup its show the above error.
No Idea! do I have to provide my Local Machine IP Address or Jump Box IP Address as DISPLAY variable. -
Application delivered/staging area /unable to install using Oracle Installer
I have developed a prototype product application in form developer and used project builder in managing the project ready for delivery to recepient i.e. stand alone PC WIN 2k. I tried installing the product using the ORACLE INSTALLER but it doesnt register the application,supposedly the application will resides in the look up box at the left corner of the ORA installer 'labelled' the 'FROM' it was empty.
Can i have some idea why is it happened in this way? Is there any setting to be done before i can install the application.

I have checked the packages and the XFree86-libs-4.3.99 is not installed. I guess I will have to install it.
Now your question about oracle user. I am not sure if you have performed any SAP MDM installation with ORACLE RDBMS but the installation guide is totally different than the normal SAP inst guides. Indeed someone needs to install separately SAP MDM and ORACLE and in my installation I do not install NetWeaver since it is not mandatory for the testing phase of the project. You can have a look at the guide (it is very poor -no reference to ORACLE details):

So the official ORACLE inst gudie says to install the ORACLE software with the oracle user.

10.5.4 install hangs at "Running Installer Script"
OK, my 10.5.4 server install isn't going so well. It's been sitting for over a half hour at "Running Installer Script"
And of course, I stupidly closed my ssh shell and now I can't open a new one (as the install disables ssh access)
Any suggestions (short of "just reboot") ?I rebooted. Sad, but couldn't wait any longer.
Redid the install via commandline software update, watching install.log as it went, with no issues this time.
No idea what it was, but it's fine now.... -
Solution (not question :-) ): Apex Installation Script
i´ve asked so may question here, and got (most of the time) fast and helpfull answers, so that´s the time to do something for the community:-)
i´ve written an installation script for Apex 3.1 / 3.1.1. It has two Parts. First Part ist the main script to install all the necassary scripts (and there are a lot). The second one (installcheck_apex.sql) is a PL/SQL Block that checks all requirements and shows the output, you should consider/change. And the script can change all parameters/ports/accounts ...
But it is very long (320 Lines of Code) If somebody needs it, i post it also

life much easier - you don't want to keep the data in one database instance and your (APEX) application code in another and get the data over a link.
But you only need one Instance of Oracle HTTP Server with multiple dads configured, not one

SAP CI Installation - Oracle installer missing
Hi Experts,
I relised that the oracle file (11203) is missing (looks like not properly extracted) when i want to install Oracle 11.2g as below error.
Installation Results
. (ERROR) - Oracle Database software installation finished with errors.
. The Oracle executable /oracle/IEP/11203/bin/oracle is empty or does not exist.
. Possible cause(s): link error, installation was cancelled or interrupted, or fatal error.
. (INFO) - You can find the installation summary log at /oracle/IEP/11ginstall_11203.log
. (EXIT) - Exiting with exit code 2.
Can I copy the file 11203 from other server to paste it in the server to continue the installation?
Please advise if you have any idea?
The system is ECC 6.0 EHP4.

SRM 4.0 Installation Master and Oracle Installation
Dear Members, I am trying to install SRM 4.0 in sandbox using the SRM 4.0 Installation Master DVD. The question I have is does this installation take care of Oracle Installation also or should I install Oracle 9.2 first and then use the SRM Installation Master DVD to install the SRM. I am using SRM on Linux and Oracle. Appreciate expert advice. Thanks in advance.
