  • Downloading previous versions of Oracle Service Bus (other than 11.1.1.7)

Current release of Oracle Service Bus is 11.1.1.7.0.
    Which is downloaded here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/service-bus/downloads/index.html
But where do I find earlier versions?
I need to download 11.1.1.6.3 but can't find it.

I think it has been possible before to download previous versions.
For WebLogic Server it is possible to download different versions.

  • OSB: Oracle Service Bus 10.3.1 Available for download

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/osb/index.html
A new version of the Oracle Service Bus (OSB 10.3.1) is now available, quick list of new OSB features:
    * JCA Transport with certified JCA adapters
    * Support for generating config.jar from command line or ant task.
    * Enhancements to native MQ Series Transport.
    * New APIs to support the SOA Management Pack for OSB.

    Hi..
It's working (mostly) well now. The original implementation with ALSB/OSB 3.0 wasn't good, we got a patch for it back in December which contained big changes, so I presume that they back ported changes that were already in progress for the newer releases.
However that patch wouldn't read from Queue Aliases, since it was performing a queue depth.. We receievd another patch early in May that fixes this.
However we had an issue in production over the weekend, where the queue readers stopped reading, it looks like the problem was caused by a network router going funky, we've been trying to reproduce the situation in a local environment but not managed to replicate it yet, so it may be a rare case of events that causes the problem.
I'd suggest trying the 10.3.1 version out against an Alias Queue, if you get the MQ messages Completion code 1 Reason code 2068, then this is the queue depth issue, and you'll need to get a support case going.
We used the foreign jms okay for a long time, the only issue with it was firewalls chopping connections when writing (if no message written for a period of time less than an hour (firewall cutoff period)), this caused a connection hang for 6 minutes before it would realise the connection was actually dead before it created a new one. But we've been using the MQ transport for writing to queue since december with no problems. We were using the foreign jms for reading until last week.

  • Oracle OSB 11G. Unable to find Oracle Service Bus Configuration Page.

    Hi All,
Sorry for the apparent silly question but I am studying and learning the product.
I have the OSB 11G installed and running with a proxy service working and routing requests. The Oracle ESB documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e15866/ui_ref.htm#i1327746 at chapter 4.4.2 New Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project Wizard
Use this wizard to create an Oracle Service Bus configuration project. For configuration options, see Section 4.4.3, "Oracle Service Bus Configuration Page."
4.4.3 Oracle Service Bus Configuration Page.
I don't see the configuration page in anywhere in the left pane of the console. Am I missing something? The project creation works fine but I just don't see the configuration Wizard.
    Thanks.
    Regards
    Salvatore Ilardo

The link which you are referring is for user interface objects in the Oracle Service Bus plug-ins and OSB plug-ins are used with OEPE (Oracle Enterprise Pack for Ecplise) for OSB development. OEPE is the only supported IDE for OSB development as of now.
Remember, at a time, one and only one Oracle Service Bus Configuration project can be deployed in a OSB domain which may contain desired number of Oracle Service Bus Projects and that's why there is no provision of creating Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project in sbconsole GUI. In IDE, you may create many Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project and that's why it has a Oracle Service Bus Configuration Project Wizard.

  • Issue with Oracle service bus installation on Windows 7 64 bit machine

    Hi,
I am trying to install Oracle service bus 11.1.1.4 in Windows 7 64 bit machine for which i have downloaded the generic installers of both weblogic server and Oracle service bus. As per the instructions -
    1. Install JDK 1.6
    2. Install Weblogic server
3.Install Eclipse separately (In my case Galileo 11.1.1.5 64 bit) - Just unzip the contents in the home directory where weblogic server is installed
    4. Install OSB
I have installed all the above 1,2,3 in the same folder as per the instructions. But when i try to install OSB which asks for eclipse home location. But when i give the eclipse home location, it gives an error ""Home location is invalid" and i am unable to proceed with the installation.
I have tried this with OSB 11.1.1.5 as well and have the same issue.
Does anyone has any links which provides the steps to install OSB in Windows 7 64 bit machines or if someone can help me to resolve the above issue ?
I really appreciate any information on this as it is urgent.
    Thanks

I have installed OEPE 11.1.1.6.1 now in the same middleware home as weblogic server but when i try to install OSB 11.1.1.4 in the same middleware home, it asks for OEPE home location. Even though i provide the OEPE home location , it displays as "invalid oepe home location".
I have been struggling to get this sorted out so that i can carry out IDE development in OSB 11.1.1.4
Below are the paths where sfotware are installed -
    JDK - C:\Oracle\Middleware\Java\jdk1.6.0_21
    Weblogic server - C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3
    OEPE - C:\Oracle\Middleware\oepe-galileo-all-in-one-11.1.1.6.0.201007221355-win32-x86_64
    Thanks

  • Installation of Oracle Service Bus 11g

    Hi guys,
I have installed weblogic 11g (10.3.6) and Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11.1.1.8 using the file oepe-wls-indigo-installer-11.1.1.8.0.201110211138-10.3.6-win32.
Now I was trying to install the Oracle Service Bus 11g 11.1.1.7 and it says:
INST-11502:  OEPE version isn't the correct OEPE for this version of OSB. Expected 1.8, found 2.1.1
Enter a valid OEPE home location
I wasn't expecting this compatibility error. I search My Support on I I Doc ID 1944102.1 and it points to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/eclipse/downloads/oepe-11118-521475.html which seems to be the oepe 11.1.1.8 (the one I have).
Can you help on this compatibility issue please?
    thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Now I cannot run eclipse...
My suggest is because the JVM is 32-bit and this eclipse is for 64bit. If I try to run the other eclipse (the one that came with the 32bit installation), I can open it, but cannot create any osb configuration project.
    Error opening eclipse:
Error creating an osb configuration project:
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Oracle Service Bus Installation

    Greetings.
We are migrating an Oracle Service Bus infrastructure to a new Hardware Infrastructure in a High Availability environment with two nodes, in the current environment there is one node.
There isn't a hardware load balancer in the new infrastructure, I am thinking in use Oracle WebCache 11g in order to use it as load balancer. But I have some concerns because there isn't any document regarded to use WebCache in front to Oracle Service Bus.
What is the best deployment recomendation to install Oracle Service Bus in a High Availability envirnonment without using a Hardware Load Balancer?
The current Oracle Service Bus projects are writing some messages in some jms queues that uses a FileStore as persitent store. Is there any recommendation to set the JMS Queues in a High Availability environment?
    Thanks in advance!

  • [OSB] - Oracle Service Bus 11gR1 ?

    Hi everyone!
I'm evaluating Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 (10.3.1.0) which I downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/service-bus/index.html . Since I've seen that lots Oracle Products are alreadly released as of the platform 11g I'd like to know what are the Oracle plans for the OSB. Is there a new version at development to be added to the 11g platform ? I've read an Oracle Statement of Direction regarding a merge between OESB and OSB but it wasn't clear about some issues:
1- If I'm developing an application with eclipse using the current 10.3.1.0 version is there gonna have big changes in the 11g version?
2- Is the Oracle Workshop for Weblogic plugin for eclipse gonna be continued ? Because I'm using it.
As I understood from the document, OSB will "envelop" the OESB which will serve as a Mediator component, so I suppose I can keep using OSB now and adapt it for the 11g platform, is that right ??
    Thanks

1- If I'm developing an application with eclipse using the current 10.3.1.0 version is there gonna have big changes in the 11g version? No. Your application (called configuration in OSB parlance), will be compatible when you migrate to OSB 11g Version. OSB auto upgrades when the configuration developed in OSB 10.3.1.0 is imported into OSB 11g.
For your evaluation, I have seen configurations developed during ALSB2.1, deploy into OSB 10.3.1.0 with out any issues (though documentation doesn't explicitly mention or guarantee this).
2- Is the Oracle Workshop for Weblogic plugin for eclipse gonna be continued ? Because I'm using it.Eclipse based development environment (OEPE) will be supported with OSB 11g. This OEPE based environment will offer all functionality that is being currently offered by Oracle Workshop for Weblogic.
As I understood from the document, OSB will "envelop" the OESB which will serve as a Mediator component, so I suppose I can keep using OSB now and adapt it for the 11g platform, is that right ??Absolutely, configuration developed in OSB10.3.10 can be used out of box in OSB11g.

  • Oracle Service Bus Proxy Testing with Attached Policy

    Hello,
When I'm testing a Proxy through the test console (lauch by clicking the bug) I'm seeing Override Values in the Security section. I've created four custom policies and attached two of them to the proxy. One that processes the request and the other the processes the response. The other two policies are attached to a composite on an interface to an external  service. Those policies process the request/response respectively. When I bring up the test console for the OSB Proxy, I'm seeing the two policies that are attached to the composite in the "Security" section as "Override Values". If I don't delete the policies, they are executed. Which causes an error. So I have to delete them to get a clean run.  I'm not sure why they are showing up in the "Override Values". It's definitely annoying that I have to delete them each time before executing the test. Any ideas on what's going on?
    Thanks!

Oracle Weblogic Server Version: [WebLogic Server 10.3.6.0 Tue Nov 15 08:52:36 PST 2011 1441050 ]

    Hi Wai,
I think it is not supported with OSB. The doc says -
46.15 Is single sign-on supported in Oracle Service Bus?
Strictly speaking single sign-on (SSO) is not applicable to Oracle Service Bus messaging scenarios for several reasons. First, Oracle Service Bus is stateless; there is no notion of a session or conversation among multiple parties. Second, Oracle Service Bus clients are typically other enterprise software applications, not users behind a Web browser. Therefore, it is acceptable to require that these clients send credentials such as username and password on every request, provided that the communication is secured by means such as SSL or WS-Security. However, SSO between the Oracle Service Bus Console and the Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console is supported. For more information, see "Single Sign-On" in "Security Fundamentals" in Oracle Fusion Middleware Understanding Security for Oracle WebLogic Server.http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/E15866_01/security_faq.htm#i1058723

  • Oracle Service Bus 10.3.1 proxy consuming jms (AQJMS)

    Hi,
I need to use AQJMS with Oracle Service Bus proxy.
We have an installation with WLS 10.3 and OSB 10.3.1 and another with WLS 10.3.1 where I defined a JMS Foreign Server like appears in the documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/e13738/aq_jms.htm#JMSAD565.
I need support to how to define the URI at the OSB configuration.. jms://server:port/XAQueueConnectionFactory/QueueName... because I tried a lot of ways and can't make it work.
    Thank You in Advance...
    Juan Pablo

    Hi,
Because I want to use the jms protocol... because if I change AQJMS with another JMS Provider the only thing that I must change in OSB is jms://server:port/CF/Q
In SOA Suite 10.1.3.x I use JMS Adapter for this...
    Thank You.

  • Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 - sbconsole missing

    Hi,
I just installed Oracle Service Bus in an existing BEA home, containing just WebLogic Server 10gR3.
When I start Weblogic and go to http://localhost:7001/sbconsole, I get an Error 404--Notfound.
Also, in the Start menu there is no shortcut for "Service Bus Console".
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi,
OSB works on the concept of Domains.
To see the Service Bus Console you need to create Domains and then start the server from there.
After that you can login to that domain. Examples is one such domain which automatically starts an example domain.
    To Create the Domain "http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11036_01/alsb30/tutorial/tutGettingStarted.html#wp1050548".
To start Domains "Start > Programs > BEA Products > User Projects > domain_name > Start Server for AquaLogic Service Bus Domain"
    thanks

    Hi all,
I protect Proxy Service. It means only authenticated user can able to access it.
