Oracle VM 3 : Server Discovery Failure. Any ideas?

Hi.
I've installed OVM 3.0.1 Server and Manager on two machines. Both machines are pinging as expected. Everything seemed to go smooth during the install.
As soon as I try to discover the OVM server from the OVM Manager, as described here (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E20065_01/doc.30/e18549/qstart.htm#CACJEGHD), it fails with the error posted below.
Any clues are to what is going on would be appreciated.
Cheers
Tim...

at java.util.ArrayList.RangeCheck(ArrayList.java:547)By the error displayed here (IndexOutOfBoundsException) it seem that you try to install the Oracle VM Server 3.0.1 inside of VirtualBox or another virtualization tool. Maybe this is not the case, but if you did this then let me tell you that this is not posible.

When signed in with valid Apple ID have started receiving the following message when trying to open iTunes 'The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "itunes.apple.com" which could put your confidential information at risk.'
When I try to access teh App Store it says "Cannot connect to server"

This is a new problem - I have been connected until very recently and the Apple ID and connectivity are fine on other devices...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Server playing up - any ideas?

    Hi,
I have a Dual 2.3GHz PowerPC XServe with 3GB RAM running 10.4.8 server software which seems to be playing up. It is an Open Directory Master, Windows PDC running DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN and acts as the company mailserver for around 80 users.
What seems to be happening is that I receive a phone call from one of the users (normally either around 9.30am in the morning, or around 6.00pm in the evening) saying that the server has stopped working. They normally perceive that it has stopped working because their mail client (Outlook) has tried to send and/or receive a mail message and it has reported that it cannot contact the mailserver and has popped up an error message on their screen, prompting a phone call to me at the help desk.
9 times out of 10, I can at this stage, log on with ARD and all appears to be normal. The server is responsive and nothing untoward shows up in the logs. Then, on phoning others in the office to see if they have a problem, they report all is fine and indeed the user who had originally reported the problem is working again.
It's almost as though some sort of timeout has been invoked in the client software which is causing them to think the server has fallen over. However, having said this, on other occassions, I have failed to connect to the server with ARD and have had to perform a reboot of the server in order to get the system running again.
The interval between these 'failures' seems to have no pattern. Sometimes, the server will run for 3 or 4 days with no occurence of the problem, and other days, like today, it was reported to be a problem at 9.36am and again at 17.50pm. The strange thing was that this morning, by the time I picked up the voice mail reporting the problem - around 20 mins later - I had another voicemail from the same user saying, "thanks for fixing it, it's all working again" and I hadn't actually got around to even logging on with ARD due to other support calls! This evening, I couldn't connect, and had to get a colleague to reboot.
Does any body recognise this pattern? Has anybody experienced this and have some sort of idea as to what might be the cause or where I should start to look? Logs don't seem to give a clue, and I have trawled through them looking for problems and honestly can't see any.
3GB should be enough to run this server, but I am as a matter of course, going to try installing another 4 x 1GB modules to give it a total of 7GB and see if the pattern of failures still happens.
Please let me know if you have any other ideas.
    Thanks

  • Installation of InDesign 7.03 update failure, any ideas how to fix?

After repeatedly trying to install InDesign 7.03 update on my InDesign CS5 I continually get a message saying: Validate license at Pre-chrome" when installing - Creative Suite 5   and the installation fails. I have successfully installed InDesign CS5 updates in the past. Does anybody know why this message is appearing and how to fix it.
    Thanks

I had the same problem with my CS5 Design Premium and this workaround helped for me:  Since I'm working on a MAC, I created a second User-Account (admin) and tried the upgrade from here - which worked out fine..! Not the way it should be of course...

  • Any Idea where Auhtorization failures gets stored??

    Hi,
My requiremnet is to capture all t-codes with user names which has authorization failures.Any idea on how to get this ?
I am trying to use FM SAPWL_STATREC_DIRECT_READ but couldn'nt get a parameter to differentiate between suceess and failures.
I know if we make a SU53 we may get these errors but does it get stored anywhere?

Failed attempts are not written to the database, those happen "in memory". If a user loggs on he get his profiles once read into memory. The results of SU53 are evaluated based on that.

Heterogeneous migrations must be done by a certified migration consultant, otherwise you will loose support for the migration itself and for the target system. See http://service.sap.com/osdbmigration

Basically you're right - but there are a few things for source and target system to consider; using just the tools and kernels from the installation DVD is likely to fail since they are too old and must be replaced during the migration with newer tools.
BTW: there's a separate forum for migrations:

No, you need the Reports Server (as part of the Application Server or Weblogic, depending on your version).
I try to save the report, it's saved as .jspThat depends. You can save it as a .rdf file too (so called Paper Layout). I think this option is used more often.
