Order Duplication check

Hi Experts,
we have a requirement to have Order duplication check for all the Orders we recieve as IDoc(ORDERS05).
And when we get a duplicated order, we need to stop the process (sales order creation) and report the error.
Can you please suggest on how to acheive the above requirement.
Thanks,
MK

Hi,
When u check and find out tht the given order being processed is a duplicate, then you can change the status of the IDOC to 51.. this will raise an error.. and the irder wil not be created in ur system.
Hope this helps.

  • Prevent Sales order Duplication

    Hi gurus,
If anyone could help me in preventing Sales order Duplication ?
The scene is My customer orders me through phone-call and for that particular P.O I have created a Sales Order and when i am not in my seat ,one of my colleague gets the same order from the Customer by Fax and he also creates  a new sales order and now the material will be allocated for both cases.
How can we prevent it by throwing an error when he tries to create a new sales order for an existing order?

    Hi,
As already suggested to you by others that you can configure the documet type to check the duplicate PO number.
I would like to add some points to this.
in standard SAP this message comes as a warning.Means you can still process the new document with same PO number.
If your requirement is that system should not allow at all (Error message) then proced as below.
1.Check the message number the system gives as a warning for PO number duplication. As per me it should be
V4,115,Purchase order number in document number: & already exists
    Check in your system.
1.Go to Tcode OVAH.Select the message and change the message category at extrem right side from W(Warning) to E(Error)
So with this if system find same PO number, you will not able to proceed furthur.
    Reward points if helpful

  • I am trying to order a book, I keep getting the same error message," A network error occurred while processing your order, please check your network connection and try again"

I am trying to order a book with iphoto, I keep getting the same error message.
" A network error occurred while processing your order, please check your network connection and try again"
I get the billing part up, it has even uploaded my jpegs but at the final process, I get the same message.
I have ordered two books a few months ago without any problems.
Now I keep getting the same message either half way into
the order or at the final hurdle after the images have been uploaded.
    Any ideas?
My shared Network has been fine and that does'nt seem an issue.
    Help.

Try again in a couple of hours - sometimes it is a temp condition

  • Sales Order Not Checked for Credit Limit

Most of the time, in our course of business, the customer account and BP/Credit limit are setup prior to the input of any order.
However, if in the case the customer was setup (BP created in background, but segment/credit limit not assigned yet), and an order was created immediately the order will not be checked for credit.
We are considering putting a check in the order that it must be checked or it is considered incomplete.
We have a background job that runs every few hours to assign the BP to the credit segment (we have only one credit segment, in addition to 0000) and give a default credit limit.  But we need to ensure that all orders are checked.
How are others handling this situation?
    Thanks

We have already put in place the use of a background job to create the BP/segment with a default credit limit.
We are hoping to come up with a method that is full proof and not manual.
Depending on how frequently the job runs and the timing between that and setting up a customer master record and entry of a sales order, there could be a sales order entered before the background job was completed.

  • User Exit/BADI for Production Order Availability Check

    Hi PP experts,
Is there any user exit or BADI which can be used for Production Order Availability Check during order creation/release or while running collective availability check (COMAC) to include additional check conditions such as do not commit quantity (commitment qty = 0) if storage location for a component is missing in the production order due to storage location is not maintained/specified for that component in the material master.
Note: In this case the availability check is set (configured)  to check at the storage location level.

    Dear ,
Availablity Check is not Plant Specific or Storage Loaction spefic .ATP does not check the stock for any particualar stock in storage loaction rather it cheks various stocks based inward and out ward movement time through PR/PO/Dependent /Planned Order /Stock Type  irrespective of any Storage Location .
BAPI which can be used :
    1.BAPI_PRODORD_CHECK_MAT_AVAIL
can we exclude materials of prod order in availability check
what is availability check concept  how it is used in SAP
Check the above if it is useful

  • Invoices Duplication Check

    Hello to you all,
In vendor master record you can flag the checkbox "Check Flag for Double Invoices or Credit Memos" this flag activate Invoices Duplication Check in Logistics documents and in FI documents separately,
Meaning I can enter the same invoice twice, As a Logistics document and by mistake as a FI document again.
Does anyone know how can I prevent it using standard customization?
    Regards,
    Dan

    Dear Atif,
    Thanks,
This Info is display in the field documentation.
The customization is relevant only to the logistic side.
I am looking for cross module costomization.

  • DRQ : Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check

    Hi Expert,
At present Customer / Vendor ref. no. duplication check is perform on all documents (e.g. A/R Invoice / A/P Invoice)
Where as I believe it should be performed Customer / Vendor wise.
The reason is simple, say in a new year all customer / vendor will generate their respective A/R invoice OR A/P invoice starting from 1. So verifing it accross the documents seems sence less. If is verified that whether the same Customer / Vendor 's same document is entered earlier or not then it makes sence.

  • Order budget checking in creation PA30

    Hi everyone,
My requirement is to have order budget checking in HR modul.
Currently if user create claim transaction with internal order number, there is no checking for the order budget.
I noticed that the HR module and FI module is not related in this phase (creation phase)
During end month, user will run PC00_M99_CIPE to create a document to be posted to FI.
In this phase, SAP will do the checking if got error due to order budget exceeded.
My requirement is to have the checking in creation phase.
    What I have done :
    1. use exit EXIT_SAPFP50M_002
    2. currently on button save clicked, I will have checking on amount filled by user and current availability of budget in table BPGE
    Problem :
    1. Creation phase not yet updating the balance of budget availibility, so the comparison I make above, is not accurate.
    2. If I want to create a temporary table for every transaction saved -> update budget availibility
another problem I'm facing, I cannot diferentiate which data is posted to FI and which one not yet.
Please any solution / suggestion ?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

Great question! Unfortunately, the functionality of order - WBS budget availability checking does not allow you to allocate the order to multiple WBS elements nor to distribute the (planned) costs across multiple WBS elements. Neither does the PM - IM (Investment Management) budget checking functionality. And by definition, direct budget setting at order level, where the order itself is the budget object - doesn't allow it either.
If you turn on operation account assignment, available with EHP5 Business Function LOG_EAM_OLC - operations become cost collectors - and you can settle operations to different receivers. You can also assign WBS elements to the operations, so I would suspect that WBS budget availability checking is also supported. Can anyone confirm that WBS budget availability checking is functional for operations when operation level costing is turned on?

  • Duplication checking

    Hello gurus!
Is there anybody who used ADDRESS_SEARCH and ADDRESS_UPDATE badies for duplication checking?
Could you provide me with roadmap (code samples, descriptions) how to use them? My case: Business Partner duplication check by name and telephone number.
I have read next document, but unfortunately this field is still unclear for me.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/a3/eaa43ab9db4814e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    Thank you in advance!
    Kirill

    Hello Krill,
1)You are creating a BP,category Organization  and saved it.
2)You have activated those BADI'S that you've mentioned(Address_search,Address_Update) what happens is the sytem will carry out a duplicate check based on certain threshold values that you have mentioned in the customizing.(a dialogue box pops up indicating all possible duplicates)
3)You can tell the system that the BP you are trying to create is not a duplicate,
its duplicate, or you can create a cleansing Case.
4)Using BUPA_CLEAR, you can manually search for duplicates, enter the weighing factor, select the process (Note you can manually do the cleansing process of Automatically.
5)Execute the BT and drag and drop the BP you want to cleance.
6)In the transction enter BUPA_CLEAR enter the cleansing case number.
7)Compare the BP for a node comparision.
8)Maintain the number range for Data Cleansing. in CA>SAP BP>Data Cleansing
    9)enter the Numebr range object.
    10)Define Priorities.
    11)Activate Duplicate cleansing.
12)Remember we need to make settings in the BAS(Business Address Service)
which is integrated with the SAP Regional Structure, which has to be populated with data either manually(administration overhead is a constraint, or using a Program), Activate Duplicate check index pools.(SAP Web application server)
    13)use Transaction SM30
    14) display table /SMBCRM/TSAD10
    15) this is where you find all the tables.
Finally If your BADIS(Address_Search and ADDRESS_UPDATE) will work accordingly and they only provide an interface for  a third party application to come in to contact and do the actuall work. they are defenitely helpless without an external application. Check with SAP for the list of 3rd Party tool available.
    Reward with points.
    cheers,
