Order phone before my upgrade?
My upgrade is available on November 18. I want the iPhone 6 64gb in space grey, and it says it should ship by Nov 21. Is there a way to order the phone before my upgrade is available, but still pay the upgrade price since I won't have it until after my upgrade, to make sure that I have it asap? My current phone is broken and I decided to wait for my upgrade so I could get the 6. Baiscally, I want to order it before my upgrade to make sure it still ships on the 21st and doesn't get pushed back further.

I cannot get apps I purchased now sitting on my pc onto my iphone. They were there before I upgraded to 6.0.1. I backed them up on my pc and I can see the apps are all there. But after syncing they still don't appear on my phone.
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I want to backup my phone before upgrading to ios5 but I get an error message: itunes could not back up the iphone because a session could not be started with the iphone. I want to go to ios5, but I do not want to lose everything. I've gone to my device under preferences and I have no backup currently.

Can i pre-order the galaxy s6 before my upgrade date?
I want to pre-order the Galaxy S6 but my upgrade date is after the pre-order date. I am able to pre-order it before my date and get the price of a new 2 year contract? The devices ship on the April,10th,2015 and pre-orders start on the first, but my upgrade is the 6th. Basically I am asking if I can pre-order and take advantage of the new contract price or if I should just pre-order when my upgrade date arrives.
You can upgrade 7 days prior to your upgrade date so you will be able to pre-order it on the 1st.

They sell iPhones at Verizon Stores. You might want to vist one and have them explain the plans and what you obligation would be with the different options.

When you restore from an itunes backup it doesnt backup music or ring tones. resync from the computer that has the music. If you bought all the songs from iTunes, you can always redownload them but ringtones are a one-time download. Follow the article to redownload them. For the ringtones you can contact Apple to ask for a redownload of them

Before I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3 my photos taken on my phone transferred to my iPad and iMac. Now nothing automatically transfers. Why?
This may be a solution. i take it your photos were in iPhoto. If so they will still be in your iPhoto library.
This library should be in your pictures folder, see below.
If you control-click on the library and from the drop down menu choose open, hopefully iPhoto will open and you will see your photos.
This worked for me, so I hope it works for you. -
Alert - Do Not Buy This Phone before 4g Network is in place
I just bought my Droid X less than 30 days ago. Verizon is launching a new 4G network. These phones are not upgradable to get on the 4g network. If you are one of the 110 million people that live in the test markets where the 4g network will be available you should wait before you buy a new phone.

I'm using an iphone 4S with IOS 6. Before the upgrade I was able to share thigns from my news feed on facebook and change pictures (profile, cover) from my phone. After upgrading I cannot share or change pictures or articles. I've tried resetting my phone, deleting and re-installing fb app, but no success. Would appreciate any help, suggestions...Cheers
I've never been able to share FaceBook posts nor seen the option using the iOS FaceBook app regardless the FaceBook app and iOS version. I can Like and I can Comment, and if I select a link or video to view under iOS 6, I can use the Share option for the link or video, but not for a post.

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

I dropped my iPhone 3G in water and it immediatley turned off. One day later, it turns on again but it tells me to connect to iTunes. iTunes says that I need to restore my iPhone to the factory settings in order for it to work again.
I want to get all of the pictures off of my phone (if it's not too late), but I'm not sure how to do it. The only option iTunes gives me is to restore the phone. My computer doesn't even detect the phone as being connected to my computer so I cannot view the pics that way.
Can anybody help me figure out how to get the pictures off of my phone before restoring it?

Following are Steps to Transfer Photos from iPhone to MAC:
1). Attach your iPhone to Mac
2). Open up Preview
3). Click File menu and from there select “Import from iPhone…”
4). Select the photos you would like to transfer and click import, Select “Import All” in case you want to have all the photos in computer.
5). For confirmation sake go to ~/Pictures/ folder, picture copied from iPhone should be there.
If you have a windows PC then follow below given procedure to Transfer Photos from iPhone to PC.
You can accomplish this just using Windows Explorer, but there are two different methods. And here you go with the first one.
1). Plug your iPhone into your computer without iTunes running.
2). Now pop-up will appear asking what you would like to do with iPhone.
3). Click on “View Content”
4). Locate your photos.
5). Copy the same and paste it at desired location on your computer.
Another method for Mac users is "Image Capture" which is already installed on your mac, I will look for other applications for mac users, hope this helps! -
Before I upgraded to iOS 6, there was a way to hide an application on my phone. When you did this is only showed up in Featured Apps in the App Store and specifically, would only appear in "Hidden Apps". Also, the app wouldn't show up at all on my device when I sync to the computer. I can't figure out how to hide an app anymore. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm talking about purchased apps...not the ones that come standard with the iPhone.

Things to know before the upgrade to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)?
I am pretty sure my kit qualifies for the upgrade, and I am quite excited about this. I hope I have made the right choice. Let me tell you, a few days after SE announced that X10 is going to get the upgrade (to Gingerbread) , I couldn't resist the temptation to grab this model immediately, particularly since I was wanting to experience Android OS after a few years using Symbian (my previous phone was N95 - 8GB and Nokia 6600). The price is quite decent for a handset with quite impressive features (8MP camera, etc). My experience with my new phone is pretty good thus far, except for a few issues that we are aware of (eg Flash not supported).
Now, what are the things that I have to know before the upgrade, since downgrading is not supported? I am not a phone geek, and all I have done so far was to back up all my apps (using Astro). I know all the contents of my SD Card won't be affected. I wish to keep all my contacts, messages if that is possible.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I actually created this thread/post to keep all X10 users updated, and help them decide whether they should upgrade to 2.3 or not. If they choose to, hope this serves as a guideline to prepare them for it.the Backup and Restore app will work just fine, if its not included w/ the update as SE said, you can always re-install it

I downloaded Firefox 4 Beta and everytime I tried to open up the browser, I get a message stating I need to reboot the computer in order to complete the upgrade; I've rebooted the computer at least 4 times. I even tried to download a previous version of Firefox and I am still getting the same message that I need to reboot the computer in order to complete the previous upgrade.
I have a very similar problem myself. Error 42408. And my phone isnt being recognized. I have restored my phone with no luck. I completely uninstalled itunes and reinstalled and it worked then when I ejected unplugged and plugged it back in it had the same problem over again.. I have no idea what to do?
