Order type settings for  convert planned order to production order

Dear sir,
I have 1 company code ,under 2 virtual plants are there. My scenario is plant 1(main plant)and plant 2 (virtual plant)
both plant same FERT material.in plant 2 i am creating sale order and atual production will be done in plant 1.
FERT material plant 2(strategy-40 sp.procurement-40 setting in spro ref plant (plant1) )and  plant 1 material (strategy 82)
run the MRP MD50.panned orders are created but iam not getting production orders directly not getting the production orders
.i have done settings in spro OPPE order type is given.in MD04 manual conversion planned order to production order system asking order type ,but i given order type in OPPE
What are the settings for  production order directly from sale order at the time of RUNNING MD50
Regards,
Naresh.

Hi,
You will not get a production order out of MD50. That would have to be set up in the SD customizing for the sales order item, but I am not sure that would work with your two-plant setup.
After MD50 you need to run CO41 for the collective conversion (and I also recommend the mentioned production scheduling profile customizing and then maintain this profile in the material master work scheduling view)

  • Optimal Settings for Converting Sony AVCHD .MTS Footage for DVD Delivery

I am starting with footage from a Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder. Since iMovie is still kind of wonky with this, I am going to batch convert all my clips using the VeggieTools plug-in scripting for *Sony Vegas Pro* (under my Windows partition of my MacBook Pro). I can convert over each file into a new clip in a lot of different formats.
My goal is to *bring the footage over to Mac and edit it in Final Cut Express.* Eventually, I will be mastering and delivering on DVD (most likely through iDVD). And I am looking for guidance.
First, I have a lot of choices for the conversion format. But I am not sure what to use. I know that the original is upper field dominant and HD in size (16:9). I will eventually be going to standard DVD NTSC (with letterboxing top and bottom to fill up the format space of the 4:3 aspect ratio). And I assume that is lower field dominant.
Do I need to find some setting that lets me convert the footage to double the 29.97 fps rate while interpolating the fields? Or do I not have to worry about this? I am worried that bringing the size of the footage down will create some weird artifacts if this isn't taken care of first.
I guess the main question is, since I am looking to pretty much just edit these clips together and won't be doing much in the way of special effects, what's the best way or format to choose to *turn the HD footage into high quality SD footage* that I can quickly trim and string together *in Final Cut Express*...
Not sure if I gave enough info. I will be checking often in anyone wishes to try and tackle this one and needs more details...
    And thanks for listening!!

OK my fault for not being clear on an extremely important point: I don't need anamorphic widescreen. Sorry to waste your brainpower on my lack of clarity. Mea culpa.
I intend to show this only on a standard definition TV from a standard definition DVD player. The "letterboxing" I spoke of is intentional on my part inside the standard def 4:3 frame. I will just let there be black bars at the top and the bottom.
So I don't need full super high resolution during this transfer (IF iMovie hadn't stopped recognizing my Sony AVCHD MTS camera after the first batch of video I collected, this wouldn't even be an issue. Been spending days on the forums trying all the solutions for the rest of my footage...).
But now that I have a workaround, I am just mostly confused about what to do about the field order (and thus, the frame rate) and the resizing (for convenience in size and playback speed). The original is upper first, and I am pretty sure that the QuickTime Movie I eventually make for iDVD should be lower field first (haven't tried tackling the can of worms of ideal MOV settings for an iDVD standard def disc yet).

  • MIME type settings for browser are IGNORED

I have the following problem since Quicktime 7 Preview 2:
Quicktime by default has many mime types associated which I don't want to be played by quicktime in my browser.
    For example .mp3
So I deselected everything but Quicktime movies in the mime type associations.
But no matter what I deselect there - Quicktime is stil playing everything in the browser.
It seems that Quicktime conmpleteley ignores the mime type settings in the preferences and plays everything by default!
What do I need to do to fix this?
In versions 7 Preview 1 an lower these settings worked just fine.
And as long as this isn't fixed I won't use Quicktime 7...

The "hijacking" of files types and file extensions has been a part of every piece of software I can remember. Particularly with browsers and media files.
Not all browsers use the same types of plug-in architecture and this may be what you're experiencing.
It's been a long time since I fired up Internet Explorer on my Mac. Many browsers still use its style.
On a Mac (maybe the same on a PC) Internet Explorer uses its own "File Helpers" for MIME types. These can be edited using its "preferences".
Try changing the settings in IE. You'll find them under "helpers" (or something named like that).
Because Microsoft has tried to put its own formats in "front" of viewers these obstacles will now be part of much of your online experience.
User (viewers) do have most of the control. It's a shame that we have to fight just to get what we want in our online experience.

  • Firefox browser settings for Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3.500

    Hi All,
I am windows 8.1 OS on my laptop. So I have only IE version 11 and I cannot degrade to IE10.
I installed Firefox 31.4.0. Does Hyperion planning work on this version of firefox? if not, what is the latest version of firefox I can use?
Is there any browser settings needs to be done in Firefox for Hyperion planning?

  • Basic Settings for Lifecycle planning

    Hello All,
I want to maintain the basic settings of Life Cycle Planning to use Like Profile
    Transaction: /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST1 - Lifecycle Planning
My question is; is it a must to use 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO characteristics in our POS?
I have seen the sentence below in OSS note: 354660
**If you are using a characteristic for a product and do not want to use the 9AMATNR characteristic, you must specify the characteristic you would like to use.The 9AMATNR characteristic must exist in the planning object structure if you want to use it as a characteristic for a product.Only then can a LIKE profile be used.In this regard, see the information on the /SAPAPO/FCST_LIKE user parameter in note 350065.**
What I understand from this sentence is that 9AMATNR is not an obligatory characteristic to use in POS for the purpose of life cycle planning.
However when I do not use 9AMATNR I receive such an error message during the maintenance of Basic Settings for Life Cycle Planning.
*Errors have been found in your Customizing settings
*For detailed information, see consulting note #354660
*The basic settings cannot be saved
*Characteristic for product 9AMATNR is not in the planning object structur
So, does anybody know if is it a MUST to keep the 9AMATNR in the POS for lifecycle planning? May be I am doing wrong something else...
    Thanks in advance

While in DP MPOS you are free to choose custom characteristics for location and product, there are certain DP functionalities like Promotion Planning which normally uses 9AMATNR as characteristic for Product. In such cases the DP MPOS in absence of 9AMATNR has an issue. Through this assignment of location and product in the MPOS, system knows the custom characteristic that needs to be mapped to 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO for product and location.
This is useful during release from DP to SNP also.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    somnath

  • LR4 settings for converting Panasonic GF3 raws?

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but I'll pose it anyway.  I'm looking for LR4 settings that will make raws from a Panasonic GF3 approximate the camera's default jpeg output, at least for color & tone curve.
Does anyone have settings for this camera that they care to share?

  • Format|settings for converting AVC MPEG-4 footage to import into project

    hi.
so the graphic designer for my favourite band dropped a couple of ~1⅓ gig MPEG-4 Movie (.m4v files consisting of footage taken during concerts in 2000|2001 on a handheld digital camcorder) into my lap the other day—& asked me if i could clean it up & split the each show’s file up into segments short enough to upload to YouTube...& while i feel fairly confident i can swing that order once i’ve got the footage in Final Cut, i’d greatly appreciate some advice regarding...making it to that premise. um. basically, if i try to import any of these .m4a files into Final Cut, i get this error:
    screenshot → [http://s3.amazonaws.com/ember/67PNmuKRePVvWJfFudHiSKj7kr9PfgzI_o.png]
so...after some preliminary investigation, i take it that i need to convert each of these files into a different format that Final Cut won’t turn its nose up at (—right?). which brings me to the crux of the matter:
§1 · *what format &|or settings* (—compatible with FCP7!—) *would result in the least loss of quality in the process of conversion,* if the original file is as delineated in this screenshot (→ [http://s3.amazonaws.com/ember/AAd0FBegXjXLXqtas8f9xIZa0v0TvrO3_l.png])?
§2 · *what program would you recommend i use to do this* (as yet hypothetical, albeit) *file conversion* (as prescribed in the answer to preceding enquiry)?

hey, great! thanks for the absurdly-prompt response. looks like that’ll do the trick.
though! a minor clarification, mostly just to satisfy my curiosity—
there are five Apple ProRes codecs:
    · Apple ProRes 4444
    · Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)
    · Apple ProRes 422
    · Apple ProRes 422 (LT)
    · Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)
i’m guessing that—considering this footage is shot with a consumer-level cam, & is only 720x480 besides—the Apple ProRes 422 will be more than enough, right? that’s the one i should be using...riiight? (i mean...i figure anything more than that would be overkill,—or at least a moot point, if the original file doesn’t have anywhere near the level of detail|precision that the more heavy-duty iterations of ProRes affect—) ...is any of this speculation on target?
(i’m mostly concerned on account of the blurb about Chroma Sampling on page 7 of *Apple’s White Paper on the ProRes family* (→ [http://images.apple.com/finalcutstudio/docs/AppleProRes_White_Paper_July2009.pdf])—since i want to do some pretty hefty colour correction {probably the 3-way color corrector + desaturate highlights & lows filters...though that’s just a hunch} on all these files, & i reeeeeeally don’t want to lose any data that might improve the quality|accuracy|&c. of said corrections.)
—& if it’s at all significant, i may be trying to use the SmoothCam thing on these as well...though this footage is so shaky & erratic i wouldn’t be surprised if trying to make it slightly less emetic is a nonesuch of a lost cause.

  • Best settings for converting videos

I have been using Visual Hub to get my videos in the right format for my Apple TV.

I share your grief. I converted all my videos for the Apple TV and now have to re-covert them to the iPod format to get them to play on my iPhone. I am a massive Mac fan, but this has left me a bit po'd. Not to mention it's further bloating up my iTunes library, which has turned into a sloth since adding in all the media for my Apple TV. I'm now at 97+ gigs. The rest of my machine is fast (DUal 2.3 G5 tower with 2.5gb ram) but iTunes is a dog.

  • Best Settings For Converting Audio Music CD's To MP3 Format

I have a huge collection (between my dad and I) of music CD's that I want to add to iTunes and put on several iPods (my 80 GB Classic, his 16 GB Nano and my mom's 8 GB Nano). What are the best settings to accomplish this and have it sound the best when loaded onto the iPods?

Depending on how good your headphones are and how good your hearing is different settings will yield acceptable results. The old, years ago, MP3 setting was always 128k. This is generally a decent compromise between file size and audio quality.
If all devices are iPods the you can get slightly better audio with same size files by using AAC format set to 160k.

  • Document  type settings

    Hi,
In the Document type settings for PO, there is one check box is Vendor.
What is the purpose of vendor check box in the document type settings?
    Kindly explain
    Thanks
    Ravi

You set the indicator. If a stock transport order or scheduling agreement is then created and a vendor is assigned to the supplying plant, the system
adopts the data from the vendor master record (e.g. the currency, price determination indicator) and the info record (e.g. planned delivery time, order unit), and
updates the statistics of the Logistics Information System with the vendor data.
Normally this indicater used for Stock transport order document types e.g :UB document type.
