"Ordered" Quantity Wrong in Item Master

I have a client that found the "ordered" quantity in the item master is incorrect for a specific item.  After some research, I have found that this is the scenario that caused it:
1.) Production Order created with planned quantity of 1.
2.) Reported completion for quantity of 1.
3.) Again reported completion for quantity of 1 (in error).
4.) To avoid variances, the client physically manufactured another item and changed the planned quantity to 2.
5.) Production Order closed.
When looking at the item master for this item, it thinks there is still 1 on order (even though the production order is closed, there were 2 planned, and 2 completed).  I have replicated this is a demo system.  Is there any known way to fix this without sending the database to SAP?  Is there any available query to run to find discrepancies in the "ordered" quantity?  Thanks for the help.

Hi Gordon,
Can we simply run the Restore Item Balances function for all items?  Should users be out of the system while this is run?
Is this considered a bug on SAP's side?  Closed production orders should not affect the "ordered" balance for an item.
Hi Rahul,
In this example, the inventory status report with show a balance of 1 for the ordered quantity, but the detail will show zero documents.

    Hello Experts,
I have a situation where there are two items we have found that show the incorrect ordered quantity in the item master data. This is in fact the ordered column and the items are not production items. One of the items is showing a negative quantity and the other is showing 50,000 LBs less than it should given the one open production order with NO GRPO documents linked. Please advise ASAP..
    Thank you,

    Hi,
You need to check the detect query and the scenarios in the Note No. : 999124.
If the detect query of the Note returns result, you need to log a support ticket to get the database investigated.

  • Need Minimum Order Quantity to show up on Sales Order

We do private label manufacturing jobs. We have defined the Minimum Order Quantity in the Item Master under Planning. I am trying to get that info to populate on the rows if that item is selected. I don't see that field as an option on tghe form design. Any ideas?

1.You should define a user defined field in the marketing document rows and
    2. make a formatted search to fill it with the minimum order quantity.
( The formatted search may look like this:
    Select I.MinOrdrQty From OITM I Where I.ItemCode=$[$38.1]
And you should set auto refresh when exiting altered column item no.)

This issue is regarding  STO (UB doc type):-
Client's requisrement is while creating the STO using trax ME21N system should issue an warning message, if the STO line item exceeds the Minimum order quantity mantain in Material master data.
For Standard PO works fine because that we can set it in Info record, but in STO for UB doc type it is not working, since we can't create info record for STO.
Is there any settings availabe in SAP for Minimum order qty for STO (UB doc type).
    Thx in advance...

Not sure if  I know one either,.. however you could always validate it through a user exit. Maintain a Z-table with the order type, Supplying plant and qty filds.. min-max and any other and validate it each time during check and save..

  • Delete Remain Open Quantity in PO Item

    Hi SAP community,
My Order quantity in PO item is 100, and User have GR 90. Left with 10 units to be good receipt.
Now user what to cancel the 10 unit, so that they can close this PO
how can the user cancel the 10 unit remain open in po ?

    Hi,
    You have 2 options -
    1) If you want that this PO should not be considered for MRP run, then marks the Delivery complete indicator in item details level & save. In this case though the PO will not be considered for MRP, you will be able to post GRN.
    2) If you do not want to post any GRN for this PO, then change the PO quantity to the quantity of actual GRN made. In this case the PO will not be considered for MRP as well as you will not be able to post GRN.

  • Sales Order quantity

    Hi,
I've created a sales order with decimal quantity, system allows this although i didnt maintain multuple UOM or I didnt assign any rounding profiles in Material Master. SAP should not allow decimal quantity in sales order.  SAP should allow only Base UOM or Sales UOM.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Pooja

    Dear Friend,
You can use the Minimum Order Quantity Feild in Material Master.
In MM01 / MM02 / MM03 under Sales: Sales Org 1 View there is a field for Minumum Order Quantity (under Quantity Stipulations tab)
    You can enter 1 here.
This will make sure that the end-users cannot enter quantity less than 1.
Also for quantities more than 1 there is a option for Rounding Profile in the same screen. You can also use the same...
    Hope this helps...

  • SD contract "Orders quantity"

    Hi!
Is there any FM to get for contract position sum of all reference orders positions sales quantity ?
Definitely speaking I have to get value and unit of measure as how it looks in transaction VA43 for contract item in "Orders quantity" column on items overview screen(so that value should consider different sales unit of measure for reference orders positions, returns and so on).
    Regards,
    Maxim.

    Hi Maxim,
You can read table VBFA with VBELV = Contract number,
    POSNV = Contract Position, VBTYP_V = 'G' "Contract.
RFMNG and MEINS will give you the quantity and unit respectively..I think you have to do the quantity conversion on your own..
I dont think there is a direct fm for it but give it a try with SDVBFA
I think I found one just now..
      FM RV_XVBAPF_CREATE
But first you have to select from VBFA and then pass it as a table to this fm.. it will give a table of type VBAPF..
    This is a sample call..
          call function 'RV_XVBAPF_CREATE'
               exporting
                    vbeln   = vbak-vbeln
               tables
                    fxvbfa  = xvbfa
                    fxvbapf = xvbapf.

  • Minimum Order Quantity

    Hi,gurus
I gave minimum order Quantity 5 in Material master(Salesorg1) tab in stipulation.but for that material when i am giving 1 in sales order it is taking smoothly. So is there any more setting to do.
    Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
You have done the right thing by maintaining Minimum order Qty in Material master in the field - Min.Order qty. By this system will give you a warning if the Qty entered in the sales order is less then the maintained qty.
You can change this warning into Error if you wish so by using the T-code OVAH> Application area V4> Message no = 082. In the same line you have the setting to set this message as Error/Warning.
    Hope it works for you.
REWARD if it works for you!!

  • Order multiple quantity in item master data

    Hello experts,
I cannot  import from Excel file new values for order multiple quantity in item master data (in section planning data). After importing I see that  records were imported successfully, but all data which we put in past have been  changed  to zero and planning method is changed from MRP at None. We have 8.81 PL10 (updating at the end of January).
Do you have any similar experience?
    Thank you,

    Dear JonMar7,
I have done this in SAP 8.8.1 PL08 using the Import/Export under utilities and seems to be normal. I have only chosen Item and Order Multiple for my template.
