Org.Man number ranges

Greetings,
How do I assign number ranges for different objects in OM ?
I need different number ranges for the objects C, O and S.
It is a new clean system so I am setting the number ranges to INT (Internal)
Any help would be appreciated.
Mark

Hey there I have done that but every time I create an object like Org.Unit it does not use my number range but the $$$$ number range.
My settings are as follows :
Feature NUMKR (000010     &NUMKR=01,)
Table 77S0 :  PLOGI     PLOGI     01     Integration Plan Version / Active Plan Version
NUMRG     COMP     01     Number assignment for all plan versions
Table 77IV (IMG): $$$$     IN     EX
01C     IN     EX             Number range set to internal (EXT not checked)(00000001 - 09999999)
01O     IN     EX             Number range set to internal (EXT not checked)(10000001 - 19999999)
01S     IN     EX             Number range set to internal (EXT not checked)(20000001 - 99999999)
Am I missing some obvious step ?
When I create the Org.Unit the documentation says I must enter a ' ! ' in the number field and the system will know it is an Internal number range. But when I do that it uses the number range for $$$$ like I said. The only way I can use my required number range is to enter it manually but that defeats the object of having a system assigned internal number range.
Any Idea's ?

  • Org Unit Number Range Error...

    Hi,
Iam trying to maintain the Number Range for Org unit in the configuration.
I have maintained it like the below
    $$$$     IN     EX
    01C     IN     EX
    01O     IN     EX
    01S     IN     EX
I have also checked the Plan version which is '01'.
But when I create an Org unit, it takes the OU number from some where in the middle. It is not even taking from the below setting as well.
    $$$$     IN     EX
Could you please throw some light on this ?
    Thanks in Advance..

I think you have posted the question in wrong forum , move this to SD

  • OM Implementation: Re-Number Org Unit Number Ranges.

    Hi Experts,
My client wants to implement OM module in SAP HR.
The requirement is : They need defined number ranges for org Units in OM. However the existing number ranges for Org Units in PA module do not fit in the range. How do I satisfy this requirement without any impact ?
FYI: Personnel Administration(PA), US Payroll , Benefits and FI-CO is already implemented.
    Regards,
    Somdeb.

Sounds like the problem is not maintaining different number ranges per object type (which is standard to do), but to not have these conflict with existing number range  in T527 tables.
I am not sure how this transfer from just using PA to using integration will work.  You will have to check the different RHINTE-reports to make out a strategy how to do this transfer.   When you start using OM, where will correct data regarding org.units be?  You will neeed to run some integration to establish a new startingpoint after integration is switched on.  If this creates conflict between existing numberranges in PA and wanted ranges in OM, you may have to do some coding in PA0001 first.

Cross-Application Components  SAP Business Partner  Business Partner  Basic Settings  Number Ranges and Groupings  Define Number Ranges
    Second step

    Make following settings here

    $$O Org Units number range-10000000-19999999

  • Number range for org model

    Hi,
Can i give the BP number range as external for the org units created in org model, so that i can give an external number while creating the org unit in the org model.
    thanks,
    Sarat.

    Hi Sarat,
Any Org unit created in the Org model will be created as BP and you can give the number range.
What i suggest is go to best practises in help.sap.com and select C02_BB_Configurationguide_en and this has the details how you can give the number range and grouping.
Thanks and reward points if helpful

  • Number Range assignment to Org plan/model

    Hi,
have a question on number ranges w.r.t Org plan.
in CRM 5.0, my number assignment is independent of all plan versions (maintained 'X' in t.code OONC).
Now I want to create a new number range and assign it to the new org model/plans that I will be creating - how do I do it.
I could define the new number range but am not sure how to assign this to the org plan. If I explain it the other way, how does the Org plan determine which number range it has to use ?
    will reward points.
    thanks
    kumar

Thanks Robin for your response. I did reward points to you. Its useful to understand HRALX-OSUBG function.
I did assign the new number range id here as per your message and saved but when I try to create the new Org model/plan, it still takes my old range - is there any dependency as well that I need to change?
One more observation, on the same table T77S0, I have the value '1' for HRALX-ONUMB.
I changed HRALX-ONUMB to '2' and then maintained HRALX-OSUBG with the Z1 number range (custom), but still my Org model determines the old number range?
    Could you suspect something?
    thanks
    Kumar

  • Root org. unit with External number range

    Hi all,
    I have a unique requirement.
We need to create a root org. unit. I used PP0CE to do the same. But it would generate org. unit numbers internally i.e. system generated.
We would like to assign an external number range to the root org. unit created.
In case I try to create it using PP01, we have to provide a relationship to other org. unit while creating root org. unit in PP01.
It would be great if someone can tell me the solution for this issue.
    Regards,
    Bharat

    Hi Bharat,
You can maintain number range even for org units, as follows:
    Here
    01 - plan version
    A, C, O, P etc are object types
after selecting the respective ie 01O IN Ex ,
now click on maintain number range where you can clearly specify the number range either internal or external.
Then u can start with TC PPOCE
    Thanks

  • Replicating CRM org number ranges to ECC issue

    Hi,
After saving the sales order in CRM system, I'm getting an error message that the number range of
the CRM org unit is not defined in ECC.
Can I get customization help with this replication issue please .
    Points will be given
    Many Thanks
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
Have you downloaded R/3 sales area(ie,. org + distribution Channel+division) to CRM? If you are not using standalone CRM scenario, then you have to maintain R/3 sales area in and then download it into CRM through customizing adapter object dnl_cust_s_area.
Then you have assign R/3 sales org to ur created organization in CRM and define distribution channel and division in the attribute tab of ppoma_crm.
Kindly check have u done all the above mentioned steps?
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Number ranges per sales org for various SD-documents

    Hi everybody,
I captured a requirement from my customer. He wants to be able to recognize the sales organization from the document number. The doc# ranges he wants to have are as follows:
    Scheduling Agreement: 1….
    Standard Order: 2…
    Delivery: 3…:
    Invoice: 4….
    Credit memo: 5.…
    Debit memo: 6.…
    Return: 8…
The 2nd and 3rd digits of the document should then identify the sales organization.
Example 1: Sales Org 0020 creates a scheduling agreement. The document# that comes out should look like: <b>120</b>0000001
    Example 2: Sales Org 0050 creates a return order. Doc# = <b>850</b>0000001
I found the user-exit RV60AFZ to fulfill my needs for invoices, but I can't find anything for the other types. Any help appreciated!
    Thanks & regards,
    Bobby
P.S.: I DO NOT want to create/copy all these document types for all available sales organizations, as this means an enormous workload if my customer expands business (e.g. by creating new sales organizations).

    Hi
Pls try the user exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in the end of the routine BELEG_SICHERN. This will solve your purpose.
NB: To use this user exit, I think you should be using internal number range assignment.
    Reward if this helps you

    Hello Everyone,
Is it possible for the org objects to have the same number id say 50000004 for both Job (C) and position (S).
    Thanks

    Hi Marian,
In SPRO go to Pers. Manag. and then to the Basic Settings in Organizational Management. You will find Mantain Number Range table there.
Just assign the Job and position numbers as You wish and thats it.

  • Org. Management Number Ranges

    Hi Experts,
When I creating new position number by using FM RH_OBJECT_CREATE  in the program , I am getting the number range error.
We have define a new plan version for creating this new postions.
Is number range linked to plan version.
    Regards,
    IFF

    Hi,
Whether number range is  linked to plan version can be configured:
Chenk switch Number assignment for all plan versions: T77S0 ->Group:NUMRG     Sem. abbr:COMP
If you set the switch 'NUMGR COMP' to 'X', you can assign numbers across different plan versions.
If you decide not to work with number assignment valid for all plan versions, you must create individual number intervals per plan version (and possibly also per object type). If you decide to use plan version- independent number assignment, you create number intervals that are valid for all plan versions. In this case, there is no danger of parallel number intervals occurring i.e. the same number interval for one object in one plan version and for a different object in another plan version.
In the standard SAP R/3 system, number assignment is not valid for all plan versions.
You can define number range in view T77IV.
    Hope helps,

  • Org. Mgt. Number range

    Hi,
I am uploading the Master data for OM objects & Relationships.  Before uploading I have made the change in the number range it as fully EXTERNAL(1 to 99999999) number range and uploaded the objects with the object no. from the text file.
Finally again I have made the change in the OM. to INTERNAL number range. and updated the current last object no. in the current no. field.
And I have checked one sample manual entry directly in SAP, its creating successfully with one problem.
Ex. If the last no. updated in the spro is 50000219 means, the newly created OM object will be 50000220. After creating 50000220 no. in OM, its wrongly updating in the SPRO with the difference of 25 nos. as 5000045 instead of updating the last no. 50000220
Please guide me to locate the problem.
    Regards,
    Rajakumar.S

    Hi,
maybe too late but the best thing to do is create an exnternal number range (for your upload) and an internal number range for data maintenance simultaneously with excluding number ranges.
