Organizer will not open in PSE 8

I installed PSE version 8 in my new laptop two weeks ago. Everything was working fine until I uploaded some photos to be shared in Kodak Easy Share. They did not upload completely and I received a message asking if I would like to try again - or try again later. I chose to try again later; however when I went back to resume the upload, I was unable to open the Organizer. I could get into the edit area fine - but not the organizer. I click on Organizer and nothing happens. Please help!

Do you have any other suggestions? FYI - this same software is installed on a desktop computer and I do not have this problem. When I click on "Organizer", it goes into it. The desktop is windows XP and the laptop is windows 7. When I first installed this on the laptop it worked fine. I downloaded all my pictures to photoshop.com, and started to have problems after that. I keep getting a message that my online storage is full, but I do not want to add more. Do you think my problem would be solved if I delete my photoshop.com account? Would this affect any of my pictures or albums on my computer?

Organizer will not open on PSE 8 Mac, how do i access?

I just installed PSE 8 for Mac. I chose this version of PSE for the organizer which I was trained in and intend to transfer files from I -Photo (someway) to PSE. Anyway the issue now is that there is no organizer tab to set up organization. There is an essential tab but it does not respond. Can anyone help ?

I read the intro to new PSE 8 which specifically indicated
that it had Organizer...the first time for Mac.
No, not this time, I'm afraid. Still no organizer. Where did you see this?
I don't use either organizer or iphoto much, because I just don't love asset management programs, but to use iphoto with PSE, you have two choices:
1. Set PSE as your external editor and send your photos from iphoto. Save, not Save As, without changing name or format (you may need to go into the PSE preferences>On First Save to be able to do this) and iphoto will remember one edited photo version plus original.
2. Export your photos from iphoto before editing, then use File>Open in PSE, reimport the edited photos under a new name. This allows you to save as many different versions and formats as you like.
I mostly use bridge and my own folder system for organizing photos.
In PSE 8 it is technically possible to open photos in iphoto using the Open command in PSE, but since their thumbnails never update in iphoto and you can't right click to choose any editing options after doing this, I'd advise against it, since evidently iphoto doesn't like it much.

EDIT will not open in PSE 10

I am not able to EDIT from the welcome screen. I have been able to in the past, but not for the last 2 days. I can open the Organizer.
Any suggestions?

Organizer will not open

My organizer will not open from my Photoshop Elements 12. When I click on oganizer from the Photoshop Elements 12 startup window, the program closes down. I also recently downloaded Premeire Elements 12. For a few days I was able to open my organizer from the Premiere Elements 12 startup window but now that does not work either. Help!

Step 3 - I did not understand this step. When I press ALT+CTRL+DEL, I get the Window Task Manager screen... so I don't know how I can click on Organizer. Please advise.

It is not ALT+CTRL+DEL..
Please press ctrl+shift and it will open Catalog Management dialog in pse 12.
In the Catalog Manager, select the catalog that you want to repair.
Click Repair.
When the Elements Organizer finishes checking your catalog for errors, select Re-index Visual Similarity Data and then click Repair or Repair Anyway.
This process takes time, especially if you have a large catalog. A dialog notifies you when your catalog is successfully repaired. Click OK to close this dialog.

Unfortunately, there are many reasons why the PSE Organizer might crash, and often it is hard to diagnose quickly the reason for the crash. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the problem:

It had 4 years of photos and videos on it.
To what did your camera record those photos and videos - camera's internal memory, inserted memory card, other?
Any remote chance that the latter may still exist for you to use to download the camera files to your new external hard drive?

How come photshop elements 13 organizer will not open.

I have been using element 13 for about a week and last night I tried to open it and the organizer will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled I have shut down all firewall I need some help. Seems the Adobe does not really have much help.

First be sure you are opening the actual .exe/application file for the organizer rather than going through the welcome screen. It will be in either the program files>adobe or your Applications folder on a mac. Try holding down the shift key while opening it to bring up the catalog manager. If that works, select your catalog, then Repair, then Optimize.

Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer will not open on Apple 10.6.8.

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 two days ago and opened and ran the program successfully. I've downloaded nothing new to the computer since then, made no updates. but today it will not open at all, giving me a message that Adobe Elements 12 Organizer cannot be opened. The error message reads: "Reason: Incompatible library version: dvacaptioning requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libcurl.4.dylib provides version 6.0.0".
I've restarted my computer, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but I am getting the same error message as before. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Unfortunately, the pse 12 organizer won't work on mac os x 10.6.8 snow leopard.
As far as i know, there is no update or patch from adobe to resolve the issue.
Probably no fix from adobe is coming, since photoshop elements 13 is already out, and adobe very seldom patches older software that they no longer sell and i don't believe pse 12 was officially supported on mac os x 10.6.8 by adobe when pse 12 came out.

When I downloaded the trial and after purchasing the product, Organizer will not work properly. I cannot open it at all; however, Editor opens and works just fine. My Mac is completely up to date and I'm not sure what else I can do.

I have Windows 7. I have bought and installed Photoshop Elements 11. The Editor will open. The Organizer will not. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and it remains the same.

PSE9 Organizer will not open after deleting LTR3

After deleting my registered LTR3 today and am now unable to open the previously installed and registered PSE9 Organizer program. PSE9 does open to the desktop "Welcome to PSE9" page. The EDIT program will open, the ORGANIZER will not. Howerer, the Organizer does appear in the lower taskbar and will open to a thumbnail but not to an open program for use. Help anyone?

Elements 12, Organizer will not open

I have just purchased and installed Elements 12 and it will not open Organizer at all.

I would recomment creating shortcut of both Editor and Organizer exe's from here on Desktop.
However, Organizer should launch fine from Editor/Welcome Screen. We have seen issues about welcome screen on this forum but Interop from Editor to Organizer should be working fine.
Can you please try this-
Open a file in Editor > Click "Organizer" button from action panel
Open a file in Editor and choose File > Organize open files
to check if interop is working or not.

Photoshop 8 organizer will not open

i just started trying to get this to work my wife said it wouldn't work so im trying to help but don't understand
When the main screen comes up at startup i hit the organizer button well it acts like it is going to go it has the working symbol on the organize button then it just stops at the main screen and don't start anything.....the editor button works fine and when i try to go to the organizer from the editor it does same thing. any help would be appreciated

I am having the exact same issue. I have tried all of the tips I am able to try to no avail. Some of the tips required a computer engeneering or wizardry degree to try, neither of which I have. My favorite tip though is the one about turning off the Auto-Analyzer which is impossible to do since I can't get into Organizer. Not only is it interesting that the software will apparently only work if you kill some of its funtionality, but it's also sorta like telling a guy falling off a cliff to buy a parachute. That tip needs to be on the front of the box/top of the cliff to be effective. Any idea if Adobe plans to actually do something about this? My wife really wants her Photoshop to work again. Any help will be appreciated to save my marriage.

Nikon D5200 raw files will not open in PSE 11

I recently purchased a Nikon D5200 and I could not open the raw files in Elements 9. I downloaded all updates for Camera Raw and it still did not work. I found a question/answer with the same problem and it recommended updating the DNG Converter or purchasing Elements 11. I did both and I still get a message that my camera model is not supported by the Camera Raw version I have. I verified per the website it is supported. Why can't I open my files?

Nikon Transfer V1.x corrupts newer Nikon camera images as far as reading with Adobe software. ViewNX2 should be ok, as long as it’s the newest version.
Can you upload one of your non-working images to www.dropbox.com and post a public download link for it, so others can try, and see if it works on their systems or not? This would help narrow down if it is something wrong with the Adobe software install on your computer or something wrong with the image data in the NEF, itself.
