Organizing Videos in iPod
Hey, i just got an iPod Video 30gb.
Well, I started organizing some concerts videos that I got in iTunes. I've set up everything, since artists to Track Number. But when I'm going to play those videos on iPod, they are listed by name, not by track number.
How can I set iPod to list and play my videos in the track order i've set in Itunes?
Windows Vista
Btw, shuffling is disabled in the iPod.

Converting Video to iPod, can you change name of file
When you convert Video to iPod format, can you change name of the new file or put some "marker" so one can tell which is the orginal and which is the new file?
Currently it is difficult to tell between the orignal and the new file.
thanks in advance
RohitYou'd probably be better off doing this sort of editing in iTunes, and letting it move the files appropriately.
Go to the preferences, Advanced tab, and check the box to 'Keep iTune Music folder organized'. Then any changes you make to song names or other info (within iTunes) will automatically be applied. -
How to delete the videos in Ipod and Itunes ?
Could you let me know how to delete the videos in Ipod application in my Iphone 4 to release more space ?
If you don't want the video on your iphone then uncheck the video in itunes and sync your phone. If you want it removed from both the phone and itunes delete it from itunes and sync your phone.

Can't synch video files, video podcasts or convert iTunes video to iPod vid
I don't know what has changed recently - I don't recall a new version of iTunes being installed but I am on iTunes 9.1.0.79 under WindowsXP.
I am no longer able to synch video podcasts which have been downloaded via Juice and video from iTunes-subscribed podcasts which were both in the right format and synching happily before whatever it was that changed, changed.
In addition, I cannot right-click and convert video to iPod format - that option isn't there. It has either gone (boo) or the video IS in iPod format in which case why isn't it synchcronising?
I've spent many hours now trying to work out what's changed, gone wrong, what kind of settings need to be changed to get back to where I was.
HALP!I'm having the same issues! I used to be able to convert video, but that option is no lnoger there. My video is in a Quicktime format(which I thought was supposed to be compatible with itunes anyway) and it won't play.
And since when aren't you allowed to email customer support?? They want me to pay a min of $29 to have an analyst call me at my convenience? Bunch of greedy bastards! -
IPod 80Gb-I convert video to ipod but doesnt have any sound
I just bought the 80Gb ipod and i am trying to sync from my pc to my ipod all of the videos i have. at the begining someone told me it was a version problem with quicktime or itunes, so i downloaded everything in the lates versions and tryied to convert all my videos to ipod. but the result is the same, i can see the images but not listen to the music. i also tryed this on my laptop which is a 12" mac witht the same video files and updated all my programs and nothing i can see but not listen.

ITunes won't sync videos to iPod (no "Movies" tab in iTunes either)
Hey... I really hope you could help me somehow, I'm really desperate..
So few days ago I was able to sync videos to iPod 30GB and everything went well. When I added some more videos to iTunes and connected iPod in order to sync those videos everything stopped working. All of my music and pics are still in the iPod, but videos are gone completely. There is no "Videos/Movies" tab in iTunes (iPod actually) nor "Images" tab... How can fix this??
Thnx for your help...I'm suspecting that you don't have the video iPod. Although your iTunes supports video, there is absolutely no reference to video on the iPod portion of the screen. Also, there's no Photo tab and no Games tab.
Further, the iPod software version number is completely out of whack. The latest version for the Generation-5 iPod is 1.2.1 yet you have 6.0. Finally, your serial number doesn't look quite right. I have absolutely confirmed that that is not a serial number for the "late 2006 Generation-5" unit but I can't get sample serial numbers from the earlier Gen-5 units.
Go here and determine exactly what you have.

i cant get my videos on ipod touch that is direct hookup to my Kenwood Stereo DNX890HD to show the video. the audio plays but i cant see the video. Is there a way i can make the video show on my Kenwood DNX890HD player
Does your ipod touch have the lightning connector or the 30 pin connector.
Lightning connector does not transmit video because it is digital and the KW is analog.
You can buy a convoluted combination of splitters and converters to get around this but it will be expensive and a spaghetti of wiring. If you do have a 30 pin connector, then details for proper setup are on page 106 of your English Manual. -
What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch?
What is the best way to format Videos for ipod touch? Used Quicktime Pro/ Export (iPhone setting). Videos aren't as crisp as downloaded Videos. Compressors /ipod video Setting also looks crapy (with bitrate med & High). What should I use?
Visualhub is a transcoder with multiple input and output formats with specific setting for iPod,iPod touch. Costs around $19-used to work great but recently everything I convert suffers audio crash than closes out the player. Hopefully they will fix it.
Elgato H.264 hardware transcoder is $99 dollars(USB stick that plugs in to Mac)-speeds up encoding of any file quicktime can handle, settings for apple tv, iphone/touch, ipod,Sony PSP. Worth the cost if you transcode a lot of video for the Touch or own an elgato HD tuner. Files work flawlessly and look great.
Mpeg streamclip-free. Works great, has presets or can customize the output. -
Hey, I've searched this forum and tried all the programs that have been listed; Videora, PSPware.. ect.
I've tried Quicktime Pro to convert the files, but it takes such an unreal ammount of time I haven't been able to let it finish to try them.
No matter what I convert the files into, it will NOT let me drop them into my Ipod... it just shows an X when I try to drag and drop. Can someone PLEASE help with this, as the video's is the only reason I went with the Ipod over competitors :/OK, I let Quicktime run overnight and made a video into Ipod format and it still will not load onto my Ipod... Does it sound like I just got a lemon? I'm going to see if I can return it for another one and see if a new one will work.
If you believe the problem is in the iPod and there is an Apple Store in your area, it would be a good idea to contact them and make an appointment as soon as possible. If there is no store in your area, download an iPod compatible file from the Internet and test whether or not it will load/sync. I have 3-4 test clips in the Public Folder of my HomePage (jrwalker4) account if you can't find any elsewhere.
As to inability to convert your own movies, are you using the iPod specific preset or trying to use the MPEG4 QT Pro interface? If the latter, what settings did you use? -
Converting an MPG video for ipod.. please HELP
Hello... i'm sorry about my bad english...
I tried many times converting videos for ipod, it allways convert them and than they become without the sound... someone can help me with that?
Thanks
LeoQuicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.

Lost sound when convert Quicktime video to ipod video
Hi,
when I use iTune to conveert a video file from quicktime (or others) to ipod/iphone video file I lost the sound!
I'll appreciate any help!
Thanks!QuickTime expects video files with separate video and audio tracks, but many MPEG formats used a muxed (multiplexed) single track that contains both. Therefore, when you convert videos in iTunes to iPod format they only show the video and no sound since iTunes (really QuickTime) is not looking for the audio track within the video track and it gets lost.
iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files

One way to work around this is to use MPEG Streamclip to convert the files to fix this issue...
http://www.squared5.com/
but there are other applications besides MPEG Streamclip you can try as well.

No sound; Video to iPod Convert
Hey, I am trying to convert a .mpg video file (Bit Rate: 1395 kb/s) and when I do there is no sound. The video aspect of it is just fine.
Edit: I just tried to convert it to .mov with Quicktime rather than iTunes and failed No sound...
Anyone know what is causing this?
