Original TWAIN?

If someone still has them, could you please give me the ORIGINAL 'TWAIN Source Manager.Shlb' file that's located in /System/Library/CFMSupport
and/or the ORIGINAL 'TWAIN.framework' that's located in /System/Library/Frameworks
These two files are broken on my computer. I was messing around with the new files from the TWAIN website because not a single application recognized my scanner and said there was no TWAIN hardware connected. Now, Toonboom Studio Express doesn't work anymore without the old files. The files got lost in a lot of confusion, and now nothing works.
So please, if you know where to get the original files, please tell me. If you still have the original files, I want to ask you to please put them in a .zip file or any kind of archive and email them to [email protected]
Thanks a bunch!

You can extract copies from the file archives on your OS X Installation DVD. You will need to download the shareware utility Pacifist from www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com. Use Pacifist to open the archives and extract the files you require.
When you extract the files be sure to extract them to the folder where they should reside in order to preserve any permissions associated with the files.

  • HELP! Problem using HPSCAN.exe or TWAIN driver for HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw using Windows 7

    I have been using the HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw for over a year without a problem.  At the time when I first purchased the unit, I was using a Dell desktop with Windows XP and connected the printer via USB port.  I was able to print and scan from my computer, including from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.
    I have since upgraded to an HP slimline s5-1160 computer using Windows 7.  I installed the Laserjet software from my installation CD's without a problem.  The printer is connected to the computer by USB port.  I can continue to print without a problem.  However, I no longer am able to scan using the HP software (HPscan.exe) nor from within applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.  When I attempt to do so, it takes a long time before it asks me what TWAIN scan driver to select.  When I select the HP cm1410 MFP series, the program either crashes or reverts to the state it was before I attempted to scan an image into a document from within the program.
    I can however scan successfully using the Windows Scan and Fax wizard or if I choose "Devices and Printers" from the Start Menu and select "Start scan" from the menu after right-clicking the HP printer icon.  However this option limits my use of the scanner -- I cannot scan to a PDF nor can I scan multiple pages into an OCR application.  I'm forced to scan to either a JPG or TIF or PNG.
    As for attempting to resolve this problem I have done the following with no success:
    Uninstall and reinstall the full software and drivers (and using the most recent version on the HP website)
    Change USB ports and/or cables
    Run the HP scan diagnostic utility, which seems to show an error at the WIA scanning step and then recommends that I uuninstall and reinstall the full software.  When I skip that and allow it to check for TWAIN scanning, it gives me a similar error, suggesting that I use the most recent version of the drivers (the driver that I am using is v 3.0 dated 11/12/2009)  Therefore in this case the HP scan diagnostic utility does NOT provide a fix for this problem other than uninstall and reinstall, which I have done several times to no avail
    Contact HP support both for the computer and the multifunction printer (which as I understand are different support staff).  The printer staff claims it's a software problem and that the computer staff should be able to resolve it (something about not having "launchpad" installed properly.  When I contact the computer staff, they claim it's a printer driver issue.  So I am at a standstill
    I researched the HP support forums only to find from this link - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02661093&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4089468&tmp... - that if you cannot scan from HP software that you can use the programs that rely on WIA drivers (Windows Fax and Scan) which I already know I can do but implies that HP does NOT have a solution for how to scan using their own software!
    My gut tells me that this is one of those problems that many others may have but for which there is no workable solution.  It's possible that during the course of uninstalling and reinstalling the software, remnants may remain behind that prevent proper functioning of the drivers, but without knowing how to specifically "clean" those remnants before reinstalling the software, I am at a loss.  Oh and by the way, I've also tried using CCleaner and Norton Registry Cleaner in an attempt to clean those remnants, but that effort didn't help.
    My question is basically this... does anyone know of a fix around this problem or must I resign myself to using the Windows Fax and Scan wizard to scan in documents and images and forget about using TWAIN programs as HP seems to be suggesting?  I would think that given that I am using an HP printer/scanner along with an HP computer with Windows 7 that this problem should NOT be a problem!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Before attempting to install the printer on my computer (HP slimline s5-1160), I had been able to successfully install the printer previously on two other computers: a Lenovo T-410 laptop (work computer using Windows XP) and an HP Pavilion Elite HPE (wife's computer using Windows 7).
    On those computers, I can use the TWAIN driver from within applications without a problem, and the HPSCAN.exe file works as well.  Both computers connect to the printer wirelessly.
    It is while trying to install the printer on my home computer via USB that I am having all sorts of difficulty. I have also tried to connect my s5-1160 to the printer wirelessly from my computer. I also checked the Windows Services, and all seems fine there.  I also tried switching USB ports and cables.   Again, no luck with the scanning using TWAIN driver.
    One other point: when I use the original installation CD that came with the printer to install on the s5-1160, the installation seems to stop when it says "Checking requirements for installation"  That didn't happen with the two other computers.   However, that problem doesn't happen the s5-1160 when I used the more recent version of the full software from the HP website.
    Let me reiterate.  I have never had any problems with printing from any computer.  The scanner works fine from my s5-1160 if I resort to using the scanner and fax wizard using the WIA drivers.  What I am unable to do is to get the scanner to work from within an application using the TWAIN driver or if I use the native HP application (hpscan.exe).  Nothing seems to happen.   Because of that I cannot scan directly into a PDF.
    And the only fix that the HP scan diagnostic utility continues to recommend is that I uninstall and reinstall the software.  It shows errors in the WIA scanning step and TWAIN step.
    Is it possible that because of behind-the-scenes Windows updates that my s5-1160 is receiving that a software conflict is created that prevents the TWAIN driver from functioning properly?  Other than that I am at a loss to figure out why this is happening.

  • Does Photoshop CS5.1 support TWAIN plug-in on Mac OS X V 10.7.4

    I am running Photoshop CS5.1 Extended V 12.1 in 32 bit mode on a Mac OS X 10.7.4 and followed instructions to install the TWAIN plug-in as written here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4904
    I restarted Photoshop, but the TWAIN plug-in does not appear in file/import dropdown as it did in my earlier version of Photoshop (see attached screenshot).
    I found this discussion in the forums which implies that the TWAIN plugin is supported in CS5.5 and Mac OS 10.7 (Lion):
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3816883
    Is the TWAIN plugin supported in CS5.1 and Mac OS 10.7?  If so, can anyone help me troubleshoot why the plug-in does not appear in my file/import dropdown list?
    Thanks in advance.
    P.S.  I prefer to use the TWAIN plug-in because I am very familiar with the TWAIN driver and how to manipulate scanner settings to get a scanned image that represents my original artwork.  I am testing the recommended VueScan and it offers more than the epson scanner driver on the mac, but I can get more work done in less time with a TWAIN plug-in because there's no learning curve.

    Additional information:
    installed trial version of VueScan, which included a Photoshop plug-in for my epson scanner.  That plug-in IS recognized (and functional) within Photoshop CS5.1.

  • TWAIN with Java question

    I'm testing the Gnome 4.2 API and it works reasonable well, but, how can you tweak the parameters for better quality scans for b&w pages ?
    I need to capture contracts (not for OCR, just the best snapshot I can get for database storage) in b&w.
    I can get a fair job, but correction s/w for the HP ScanJet 5300c at the same 150dpi or 300dpi settings does a night and day better job at it than GNOME currently is (at least how I'm capturing currently).
    I've tried setting the threshold, shadow, highlight, brighness, contrast, etc. but to no effect.
    Here's the settings i've tried:
    twain = new Twain();
    // Turn off dialogs
    twain.setSelectSource(false); // Pop up Select Source window - i.e. the scanner/camera on the PC
    twain.setVisible(false); // Pop up Twain user interface.
    twain.setPixelType(Twain.RGB);
    twain.setThreshold(150);
    twain.setShadow(100);
    twain.setHighLight(100);
    twain.setFeederEnabled(true);
    twain.setAutoFeed(true);
    twain.setAutoBrightness(true);
    // twain.setBrightness(200);
    // twain.setContrast(300);
    // Quality settings
    twain.setCurrentUnits(Twain.INCHES);
    twain.setXResolution(dpi); // where dpi=100,150,300
    twain.setYResolution(dpi);
    // Default to the original size as scanned in.
    twain.setXScaling(1.0);
    twain.setYScaling(1.0);
    twain.setExceptionMask(Twain.SETTHRESHOLD|Twain.SETHIGHLIGHT|Twain.SETSHADOW);
    // Grab the image now
    Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().createImage(twain);
    NOTE: At the end, I switch the Image to a JPEG (maximum quality) and storage this in the database. (Currently saving to the file system just to use tools to check the quality of the scan).

    Hi ,

  • TWAIN Sane with Canon LiDE 50

    Hello!
    I'm trying to use a Canon LiDE 50 scanner under OS X Mavericks 10.9 with TWAIN Sane drivers.
    It worked well with Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 and now with the newly complied Sane drivers for Mavericks, Sane doesn't recognize the scanner anymore :-(
    Anyone else experiences the same problem and has solved it?

    Hi, same here. I was really happy to find Sane for OS X. But actually it does not work with my Canon Lide 50 and Mavericks. Before I have used the original Canon Lide 35 drivers to work with every OS X until Mavericks… But now I found a solution, just download the VueScan for the Lide 35 (which is the same Genesys hardware as the Lide 50) and it will all work. Also VueScan will work with the Scanner in Mavericks properly

  • Cannot scan using CS5, Optional TWAIN plugin does nothing

    I'm trying to figure out how to scan using CS5 (Master Collection, 32-bit for 32-bit Windows Vista). I found references to an optional plugin pack for Photosop, which supposedly has a TWAIN plugin that works for 32-bit Windows Vista. So, I downloaded it. But, it seems like such a hack pack. There nothing to launch (run) for an automatic install. There's just a duplicate set of bewildering instructions for "installing" each plugin.
    The instructions included in the plugin pack has a section that says "TWAIN (Mac only)" and only lists instructions for a Mac. Near the top of the document is the entire list of plugins. A footnote below the list indicates that the plugins intended only for the Mac are marked with an asterisk. The TWAIN plugin is in the list, but not marked. The online documentation confirms that the TWAIN plugin in this pack works for 32-bit Windows. But, it does not reveal how to install or use it.
    Before you ask, yes, I downloaded the right version. Thinking the two version might have been switched, I also downloaded the Mac version. But, I couldn't even open it.
    Anyway, I found multiple blogs instructing to add the Twain_32.8BA file to the folder "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\Import-Export", launch Photoshop, then select File and Import. I'm not sure what was supposed to show up there, but nothing was added.
    I know the scanner works, the scanner driver works, and the TWAIN driver works, since I can still use them with the much cheaper Serif software.
    Any ideas?

    I finally resolved most of the issue. Long story short, the scanner wasn't connected. What an idiot! The long story appears below if you are interested.
    I still cannot scan from the scanner. But, I'm confident it's not a Photoshop or TWAIN plugin issue. The only remaining issue with an Adobe product is the very sketchy instructions (or lack thereof) and "install" procedures involved with Adobe's "hack-pack".
    Thanks to all who took time to respond.
    The Long Story
    After posting my question, I continued double-checking everything, including the Serif software, which now could not find the scanner.
    The problem originated when I borrowed the USB cable from the scanner (a Lexmark X6100 series all-in-one). When I returned the cable to an impossible to see set of connections on the rear, it fit perfectly in the phone line-out jack.
    Oblivious to the cable problem, I attempted to uninstall the Lexmark driver software. This caused a nightmare of registry changes, security issues, and reboots. The driver software had been tweaked to work with Windows Vista. But, nobody thought to update the uninstaller. In the midst of the computer problems, my telephone service goes out. Go figure.
    I eventually stumbled upon a resolve to the telephone issue by disconnecting the phone system from the Lexmark. At this point I begin to get a little suspicious of the Lexmark being a cause for both problems. I checked the phone cable to the Lexmark. But, it seems fine. I reconnect it on both ends. Still, it causes a telephone issue. At a loss for that problem and having a temporary resolve for now, I continue working on the driver issue.
    With the Lexmark software finally removed from my computer, I begin installing a slightly updated version, praying I don't have to ever uninstall it. But, it won't install, reporting the Lexmark has to be on and connected. Rechecking the USB connection, I can feel that the USB cable is a little loose. Then, it dawns on me that it could be plugged into the phone line-out. Feeling around for another jack, I find one, plug in the USB, get a much more appropriate fit, and voila!. The new device driver installs.
    I launch the Serif software. And, now it's able to find the Lexmark. I launch Photoshop, select File and Import, and there appears a new item, "Lexmark X6100 series ...". Now, if I could only get it to actually work.

  • No Twain-compliant device installed

    Hi, I hope someone can please help. Yesterday I was using my multi-function Color Laser Jet CM1312nfi MFP printer to scan a couple of pages. The scan went through fine with no problem as have countless others before. No changes were made to the system and I am the only one who uses the computer and printer.About 45 minutes after the last scan I went to scan another page when I got this message: "No Twain-compliant device installed, please install one and try again". The scanner refused to work. I tried rebooting the computer and turning the printer on and off to no avail. I thought maybe there was a problem with the machine itself or a loose cable or connection but the machine still prints documents. I tried using the HP Print and Scan Doctor and that doesn't work. It guided me to several drivers. I downloaded and tried one called "CM1312series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v5.1". The installation won't fully go through and reverses itself. The same thing happens when I try reinstalling the original software I used to use the scanner a few years back. Can anyone help? Thank you

    Thanks, I finally resolved the issue the following day after several frustrating hours. I would uninstall the driver software, disconnect the USB cable and restart the computer. After the restart, I would try one of the previously mentioned options. At a certain point, the installation process would ask me to reconnect the USB cable and then click the "OK" or "Continue" button in the installion dialog box. However, I noticed that as soon as I connected the USB cable but before I could click the button, Windows would automatically start installing a driver. It would always do the same thing. It would install 6 or 7 components, 4 or 5 would successfully install regarding printing. A separate status dialog box would pop up showing these parts installed. A green check mark would appear next to the print functions. However, 2 components dealing with scanning would not successfully install. These components would get a red X next to them. Meanwhile, I would have clicked the "OK" or "Continue" button in the installion dialog box. After a few minutes, the installation would abort itself and I would end up having to uninstall the driver and reboot all over again. It finally dawned on me that 2 separate installations were going on at the same time. What finally resolved the problem was after uninstalling the driver and restarting yet again, I started the original installation application process but when I was prompted to connect the USB cable, I first disconnected the computer from the internet and then connected the USB cable. Before I could click the "Continue" button, I noticed the separate installation process was beginning again. I immediately clicked the X in that dialog box to stop that installation. I then clicked "Continue" on the desired installation dialog box and it finally successsfully installed. Once it installed, I reconnected the computer to the internet and the scanner now worked. Thank you for your advice anyway.

  • Upgraded to Windows 10 now scanner only sees camera for Twain input

    With the upgrade to windows 10 i found that there was a new firmware update for my M1217nfw which I downloaded and installed.  I also ran the "docter" software and it found no problems.  However when I use the 'Scan To' function the scanner comes up and only sees the camera on my laptop as a TWAIN device and not the scanner.  The print function works fine.

    Hi All,I require to reset (or at least) the Windows 8.1 O.S in the Asus Transformer 2in1 (Windows 8.1 and Android Tablet).1. I have tried to reset then I got following error :2. Then I have created Recovery Media (32GB USB Drive) by using internal media creator but the same error as above.3. At least thought to Refresh the Laptop, but getting another error*Recovery Partition is healthy.*Windows 8 was update to Windows 8.1 (there is no backup for Wins 8, probably this is the main cause)Query 1: Suggest for how to do resetting or refreshing the laptop with these errors ?
    Query 2: In least case, I want to format by using some Windows 8 Trial DVD and to activate, but for preloaded O.S, don't know how to get the license things like product key from laptop and I am afraid that I will loose the Original License. Any guidance to do so ?Thanks...

  • Drivers for generic TWAIN scanner

    Hi everybody,
    I have a MacBook Pro and a Visioneer OneTouch 7100 scanner that I would like to get working. I do not have the original box and CD that came with the scanner, and a look on the company's page shows only Windows drivers.
    The scanner itself is a generic TWAIN device and works on Windows XP without any special drivers, so I was hoping there is a way that I can get it working on OS X (even if the scanner's buttons don't work).
    Thanks in advance,
    Brian
    MacBook Pro 15" Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory

    Vuescan will work but I would ditto brianez21's advice and just get a new unit which has "native" Mac support (Epson seems to be the easiest to deal with under OSX) not to mention higher res, faster scan times etc.

    A movie I purchased in the iTunes store is missing. It isn't hidden and doesn't show up in search. I've followed support steps.  Where is it and how do I find it?  I believe I originally purchased the film on my 1st Gen AppleTV...other movies show up. Help.

    It was Love Actually. It's been in my library a few years but is now missing. It's odd...it isn't even in the iTunes Store anymore. I think there is a rights issue because a message appeared in the store saying it wasn't available at this time in the U. S. store. Still, if I bought it years ago it should be in my library or I should get a refund....

  • Delete file from original location and when copied size of file increases.

    hi !
    I have 2 exe's both of 1.15MB which I want to move to another folder. The files are copied to the folder but the size of exe increases to around 350MB each. What can be the problem ?
    BufferedOutputStream bos=new BufferedOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(filename));
    int o=bis.read();
    do{bos.write(o);}while (o!=-1);
    boolean del=this.fpara.delete();
    System.out.println(del);          Also, the file is not deleted from the original location even though I have used the delete function. The last line produces null output.

    And do follow coding conventions

    If your original source is all jammed up like the snippet you posted, I'm not surprosed that you can't spot your mistakes.

  • HELP: I need to link a PDF within PDF and be able to open and return to original PDF

    I have a master PDF and have attached 7 supplemental PDF documents. I created "click here" icons and used the steps below so that the linked document would open. The problem is, once I open the supplemental PDF, it closes the original master. I would like to close the linked document and return to the master view. Is there a way to do this?
    Or is there a way to do this from InDesign? I created master file in InDesign and exported as an Interactive PDF.  I created the buttons and linked them to external files. This works great as long as the master PDF and the links are all in one file, but that is a pain to send to a viewer. Ideally, I want to be able to send the master PDF to a viewer and not have to send a links folder. Is there a way to embed the supplemental PDFs into the master so that they are all combined into one file AND have the ability to use buttons to call up one of the attachments, close, and return to the original?
    Thanks in advance!!

    I want to do the same thing that the original poster of this question wants to do. I haven't worked extensively with Acrobat so am finding by trial and error the several ways PDFs within PDFs can be accomplished. I'm using a trial version of Acrobat Pro X and have experimented with three options.
    1 - I've created a Portfolio and am impressed with what that can do, though I think it may be "overkill" for the current size of my project.
    2 - I've also tried creating this project as an index but discovered that the links I'd created in the original docs didn't work when I moved the index and its contents (keeping the file structure the same). I presume this means the links are absolute? I also don't understand how it is that users search a .pdx file, or how to present what I want to be the original opening PDF of indexed docs.
    3 - I've also thought to create one PDF with attached PDFs, so I'd like to have you expand on your comment about creating a master document and attaching documents to it.
    The specifics of my project are these: I have created a master directory that contains approximately 120 links. Most of the links are repeated three times (users can find in the directory the item they need in three different ways: alphabetically, by application, or by module; hence each item listed once in each of three categories). I want to make that directory the "master" PDF that users open first, and then locate within that PDF the 5-8 PDF documents that contain all of the places to which the directory links. I want the "master" directory to be self-contained and completely "portable" as far as all of the documents and links are concerned so that when I make the PDF available from our website users can open the master from there or copy it and have all of the docs they need with all of the links intact. I think I prefer that all docs open in new windows, since returning to the original doesn't seem very user friendly in Acrobat (I like the tabs feature in FoxIt when multiple PDFs are open...).
    I'd like an opinion about the best way to accomplish what I need to do, and am also wondering whether there are other options I am unaware of. BTW, the reason we've decided to document this whole project in PDFs rather than HTML is because this project contains a big number of tables, which do not look consistent across various browsers (i.e., most of our tables look fine in IE and Firefox, but awful in Google Chrome...). In researching my issue on the Acrobat Windows forum I see that rendering tables in Acrobat is also an issue that seems to be unresolved.
    Thank you!

  • Cannot open Logic 9 anymore after recovering to original Lion.

    Hi there!
    I have a Mac mini, osx 10.7.5m 2Ghz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.
    I have the original box of logic 8 & the box to upgrade to Logic 9 as well.(Logic Studio V2.1 Upgrade Pro)
    I updated my system to Mavericks and all the applications were running very slowly, so I decided to do
    an Internet recovery back to original Lion.Everything is working fine beneath Logic.I deleted all the logic files with mackeeper,
    and migrated the Logic 8  from my macbook, but still not working.It says:
    "Logic Pro cannot be opened because of a problem.
    Check with the developer to make sure Logic Pro works with this version of Mac OS X.You may need to reinstall the application.Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS x."
    What shall I did, retry Internet Recovery again, buy and install mountain Lion, reinstall the whole Logic Upgrade (will it double the files from library/appsupport/logic and library/audio/apple that I manually copied onto the folders?)...thanks for replyng, I' ve been stuck for a while and don' t know how to solve the problem.

    Mackeeper......... One of the worse apps you can ever install and use on your Mac as it can and does cause all kinds of issues....
    Then to add to that.. you used Migration Assistant which also is know to cause similar issues when used to move LP and it's content around....
    Yuur best bet is start from fresh and reinstall everything from scratch including formatting your Hard drive, resinatllong your OS X and Logic and it's content... 3rd party plugins and so on...and then manually move your personal data, projects etc over to the newly setup HD
    Its a pain I know but frankly it is the best way of resolving such issues normally and it will likely save you many a headachein the future too.
    But.... before that.. just try this...
    Download Permissions reset from here...
    http://www.ohanaware.com/permissionsreset/
    ...and reset permissions for your Logic Pro application and see if that fixes things... It's a long shot but worth a try before having to do all the other stuff.

  • How can I renew /upgrade in a country different to one where my account originally registered?

    Thank you for advice on how to resolve this.
    I registered and originally bought my product in Ireland. I now live in Netherlands, am trying to renew/upgrade my Adobe products, and at checkout keeps telling me - in dutch that I can't complete my purchase, as my account associated in another country and to register an account in this country.
    When I try to register an account in NL, it says my email address already associated with an adobe account!!
    Catch 22?
    Please advise what I need to do.
    Thank you.

    Hi Michael ,
    You can log in to Adobe.com with your credentials and you can change your region or country from the option "Change Region" at the bottom left of the page .
    From there you can change your region and select the preferred one and make the payments.
    Hope this will work .

  • How can I move clips from one library to another? Clips are still in original drive and not in new drive.

    I am using iMovie 10.0.7 on a 1-week old iMac 27" running Yosemite 10.10.2. I migrated from iMovie 9 on a 2008 iMac running Snow Leopard and updated the libraries and events, etc.
    I have two external drives connected via USB. I want to move / consolidate the library and clips from one of the external drives to the new iMac's 3TB fusion drive. This is to make room on the external drive to run Time Machine backups.
    Apple's instructions on managing libraries and moving/copying clips/events tell me to drag to move between libraries and to Option-drag to copy. However, simply dragging only copies. I find that if I Command-drag the events/clips, I can "move" them. But when I look outside iMovie in the Mac OS X Finder, the event folders and clip files themselves are still sitting in the original drive.
    I'm very perplexed as to how to really move the clips and event structure. Should I manually copy the clips and event folder structure outside of iMovie? I worry I will mess up iMovie's internal record keeping and folder structure information.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ahh, Ok. I actually had to go to Lynda.com to watch a training video of this highly bassackwards maneuver, but now I have it. In other words, while the intuitive thing is to make a new event to hold the clip you want and then open the old event and drag the clip into it's new event, the only way to accomplish this maneuver is to NOT create a new event, but rather, go to the clip AFTER the one you want to move, select it and then Right-Click on it and select SPLIT EVENT BEFORE SELECTED CLIP (or go to FILE>SPLIT EVENT BEFORE SELECTED CLIP). Then you wait a few seconds while the program thinks a bit (no feedback it is doing this - just a pause) and then it automatically creates a new event with the clip you wanted. Now just double-click the new event and name it something meaningful.
    Thanks for your help!
