OSX fail to while downloading

Hello,
I recently bought a Macbook pro Late - 2011 from someone. I got it with his pictures, folders, music and everything, so I then decided to reset it to factory setting without the disc. This was a success and everything went smooth and how it was suppose to go. Now that I am trying to reinstall Mavericks, it’s taking over 24 - 30 hours to download but fails at about 19 hours. I then looked up on it and someone said to hold Option + Command + R and i did just that. I did just that and after it loaded up and was finished it didn't do anything but change the software I was to reinstall to Lion. Even when i try to install Lion, it takes 23 hours to download and even when i try to wait the remaining time it fails everytime. Is there any other method to install an OSX onto the laptop like through a hard drive or even a flash drive? Remember I am in 'Mac OS X Utilities’ and cannot do anything other than what that allows me to do.

your Late 2011 model didn’t come with any grey installation discs. OS X Internet Recovery will only let you download your MacBook Pro’s original version of OS X, viz Lion. If you’re using any sort of broadband, downloading Mavericks from the Mac App Store should take much less than 24 hours; I have slow broadband, and it took about five hours for me to download Mavericks. (If you can, use a wired Ethernet connection rather than a wireless Wi-Fi connection for quickest downloads.)
All versions of OS X from Lion on are only available for download via the Mac App Store; once you have them downloaded, though, you could create a recovery disk on a USB thumb drive. (If you move the OS X installers out of the Applications folder before running them, then those installers won’t be automatically deleted after installation.)

ThinkVantage System Update keeps failing with "an error occurred while downloading packages"

For approximately a week now, various machines I am responsible for have been unable to successfully run System Update. The error I see in v3 vs. v4 of System Update is slightly different, though I wonder if the underlying cause is the same. On one machine (ThinkCentre M52) running XP (so using Update v3), when attempting to download the package information, I get the error: "An error occurred while downloading packages". I checked the TVSU log, and find the following error:

If I try to navigate to the URL noted in the message using Internet Explorer, I can understand why this is failing: IE displays a message that the certificate for the site is invalid and, thus, the site cannot be loaded. I have noticed a similar issue when trying to use the "Auto Detect" tool on this machine from the Lenovo site... I.E. indicates the site's certificate is invalid.
This machine is a fresh OS reinstall from nothing; TVSU version is the latest (that I know of): 3.15.0017. I do have two other XP machines (that have been installed for quite some time) running the same version of TVSU that DO NOT experience this issue. I've otherwise been unable to figure out what the difference betweens the machines is. Any thoughts either Lenovo or the community can share would be much appreciated.

This means your purchase failed.
This occurs when attempting to download an Issue where the receipt used by the App and the receipt recorded by Apple are mismatched. Apple's server will report that the user is ineligible for the Issue and the download will fail.
Contact support for a resolution - from your app press the help button on the bottom right, then feedback - follow the instructions from there.

Warning while downloading an Excel file from WD ABAP

In one of requirements, Client wants to download all the data that is appearing on the screen ( WD ABAP Application ) to an Excel with a layout in different manner.
We achieved this with Simple Transformations.
Now the question is while downloading the excel file, the framework/other is throwing an Warning like
" The file you are trying to open, 'info.xls', is in a different format than specified by the extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now? "
Note: All the users of my client are using MS Office 2002 / 2003.

Even though what ever may be the file name I am passing either info.xml or Info.xls , In error info.xls is coming.
Kindly provide me an alternative on this XML doesn't seem like it would match the 'application/vnd.ms-excel'.
what is the supported format.?
Similarly, It is not considering the UTF-8 / UTF-16 for xml.........same result is appearing in the output.

Error while downloading data into excel file.

Hi,
    I have a requirement to download data available in xstring to excel file.
I have a RFC which has export parameter 'file_data' of type xstring. When i call RFC
from web dynpro abap application it gives data out pout in xstring format.
I am opening excel file using that xstring data as below
cl_wd_runtime_services=>attach_file_to_response(
i_filename = 'file.xls'
i_content = ls_data_source-data_source   ***[xstring data from RFC]
i_mime_type = 'x-excel/application'
i_in_new_window = abap_true ).
But excel file not coming in correct format. its giving an error while download
excel file

If i click on 'YES' button file opening but not in proper excel format. Data is coming
in tab delimiter format in excel file.

Error while downloading report into CSV or EXCEL

Hi All,
I am facing a strange problem while downloading data in excel or CSV format. I have created a report that is nothing but output of direct database request. The report is running fine and able to download data but since yesterday it is throwing error: -
[nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 1455, message: ORA-01455: converting column overflows integer datatype at OCI call OCIStmtFetch.
[nQSError: 17012] Bulk fetch failed.
Sometimes it starts download and after fetching some data it throws this error. The report is bulky and generally it brings around 40 k rows.
Can anybody faces this error or have any idea about this. Please give some suggestion as I have searched it but not reached to any conclusion. Thanks in advance.

Error while downloading large application

Hi,
This is little strange.
1) I am having problems while downloading the MAU 3.0 application alone to my device. The error is : Error downloading application from "...<link>..."
Can anyone explain. Can there be any other issue apart from connection timeout? is there any workaround for this?
While other applications(like sample apps & MSA HH) are correctly downloading.
The deployment in 7.0 and assigning to device are all fine.but the status of the MAU is "deployment activated".

Error while downloading Jar/Jad by air

Hi All,
I am using netbeans as my IDE while compiling I m getting Jar and Jad file only I have uploaded both the files to VPN server now I want to download Jar/Jad file yesterday it downloaded fine on worked well on Blackberry bold device but from today it started creating a problem & display error messages as *"in jad file descriptor missing for midlet 1"*
So while downloading it says download fail

Try writing the complete url for your jar file location and make sure the jar size is exactly the same.

Error while downloading file with Firefox 33

Hello,
in our company we all use firefox (different versions) to use our CRM (SugarCRM).
Since some of the PC (with windows 7) updated to Firefox version 33 (64bit) we started getting the following problem while downloading PDF:
"C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\[tempfilename].part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read."
We tried to downgrade to Firefox 32 and everything seems to be working fine.
I already tried to delete the profile, reinstall Firefox, clear cache, delete Profile folder, but nothing helped.
Can it be a Firefox 33 bug?

I tried to change the download folder, no help tehre.
I also tried disabling the Antivirus and Firewall, still the same.
I even tried to boot windows in safe mode, and when I download the file I don't get the error but the file just fails to download.
I just want to underline that if I downgrade to version 32 everything works.

Win 7 / System Update 4 "An error occurred while downloading packages" Please review LOG?

I am having problem with TVSU 4.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit system where it gets to about 17-18% and consistently gives me "An error occurred while downloading packages"
I've made sure no firewalls are active. Am not using an Proxy servers and have turned off "automatically detect settings" in Internet Options. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and no change. I've also tried to run as an Administrator and no luck either.
I reviewed the logs that are located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\logs
I've highlighted in BOLD the entries below I feel may be the issue, but not sure how to resolve it. I did notice download.lenovo.com link when I try to reach it directly shows file not found???

I looked at the logs again and I believe the issue is that I can not download this file:

Help! While downloading Lion, I lost WIFI and got error message . . .

While downloading Lion, I lost WIFI and got error message "An error has occurred." Tried to re-download and the dowload icon says "OSX Lion--Waiting . . . " Please help!! What should I do?

Don't worry about the download, you can go back to the AppStore > Purchases tab and download it again.
Or from another Mac if you have one. Try a restart, it may even start the download where it left off.

Errors while downloading purchases 'stopped (err = -3253)'.

I am hoping someone here can offer some help to this problem I am having.
I have had my Mac for over three years and through out this time I have purchased and downloaded a lot of films and music with absolutly no problem. For over a month now I have been unable to download getting the error 'stopped (err = -3253)'.
I have been intouch with the iTunes store team who say there is no issue there end and have suggested a few things to try but nothing works. They claim there is a problem with my internet connection. However I fail continiously to download any large film (small file like song can download with the odd error) to my mac yet I can download the same to my Iphone, stream to my apple TV without fault. I can also stream internet radio to my mac with iTunes. I can also use all other internet services on any device without issue including my mac. I only downloaded some software (about 6.5GB) a few days ago.
Based on this I feel the fault is with iTunes but cannot find the cause. Steps I have tried include:
1. Complete shutdown of everything in house.
2. Use of Ethernet over WiFi.
3. Creating a new libary.
4. Signing in and out of iTunes Store.
5. Added Mac to DMZ on Router
6. Disabelling Firewall
7. Changing DNS to various others aswell as my ISP's
I am a little lost what I can check from here. I plan to visit a friends to attempt to download on their internet connection to rule mine out completly and will update here how this goes. In the mean time perhaps some of the good people here may have some suggestions.

Hi, my name is Ralph and I been having this problem for about a month now. I already contacted apple senior tech about the error code 3253 . They went through all the trouble shooting they had to find out that my computer was ok. They escalated this to the engineers at iTunes. I finally got an answer from them after they did the trouble shooting and had to send them a file from my computer while iTunes was downloading and error out . Listen carefully. It's not your computer or router or anything. The problem is at iTunes and there right now investigating this problem. So relax and hopefully they fix it soon. I hope this has help you out. :)
