Outlook 2007 mail not syncing. Contacts and calendar working fine.

I upgraded to 7.7.1 and it did not help either. I imported the email acct into my iPhone, and Outlook is working fine. I cannot figure out how to get Outlook mail sync'd to the phone. I appreciate any assistance.
Thank you.
Carroll

Sorry for adding to this, but I am still confused a bit.
For business I send a ton of emails from my iPhone, and they aren't syncing in my OUTLOOK 2007 sent items folder. I am not very tech savvy when it comes to email formats. My work email address is a mail.****.com format.
So, if it isn't IMAP, (If I understand you correctly), Outlook will never sync sent messages that were sent from my iPhone?
It's a shame if that is true, I just assumed it would have native support for such things - from a business perspective it only makes sense. I have read through literally 100 topics on Outlook issues but can't find a clear and concise answer. I do have a mobile ME account thinking that would solve the issue. (I am assuming it only solves the issue if you are sending the email from a mobile ME account?)
Thanks, if anyone can answer, been banging my head against this for a week now =)

  • Can Not Sync Contacts and Calendar to iPhone Since iTunes Upgrade to 7.6

Hello, I have an iPhone and iTunes installed on my PC--which is running Windows XP Home Edition 2002 SP2, and I only sync my Contacts and Calendar using the sync functionality through iTunes and MS Outlook 2007. I was on iTunes 7.4 and everything worked fine. I just upgraded to iTunes 7.6, and now I can not get my new contacts and calendar info from Outlook to sync with my iPhone anymore. I get this error message:
    The program "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\OutlookSyncClient.exe" --sync com.apple.Outlook --entitynames com.apple.calendars.Attendee,com.apple.calendars.Calendar,com.apple.calendars.D isplayAlarm,com.apple.calendars.Event,com.apple.calendars.Organizer,com.apple.ca lendars.Recurrence,com.apple.calendars.Task caused a problem and is going to close.
Is anyone familiar or know of the solution?
    Thanks!

Thanks, but as I've said I've tried all of that described in the reference you've kindly given. I don't have a local cache, and hence no PST files. The only one I have is an OST file which I have checked for integrity using the Microsoft supplied tools. I have switched to local PST (a suggestion given in another thread), and found that not to work either, so have switched back to non cached. I have even renamed the OST file to .BAK, and had it rebuilt. Again to no avail. There is a bona fide bug here. The http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306635 article does only say "This may be due to the format of the Outlook Personal Storage File (.PST)", so I guess as the operative word is "may", its not a guarantee of this being the solution.
Also I'm not syncing my contacts, I'm only doing the calendar nothing else.
Additionally, this used to work, so your hypothesis, of the "bad data", being synced in 7.6 and then not being able to be subsequently budged is a definate goer I think. But the trick would be to work out what the bad data is. I'm assuming the source of the bad data is the iphone, so I've deleted old calendar in outlook entries I know to have come from the iPhone, that has, as yet, been a fruitless exercise.
I do thank you though for your help though, I'll be scouring the internet for any tidbits of information which might help, and I'll post them back here if I find the solution, or anything which may help others unfortunate enough to be in this situation.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac sync Contacts and Calendar issues

OK, so I have a Macbook Pro with OS X Mountian Lion. I have Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac installed. Asked @BlackberryHelp on Twitter how to sync my Blackberry Torch with Outlook as it seems to default to using the builtin Apple Contacts and Calendar instead of Outlook. So they sent me the link to KB19148: "How to synchronize organizer data in Microsoft Office for Mac between the BlackBerry smartphone and a Mac computer using BlackBerry Desktop Software". So I turned on the Sync Services in Outlook and it gave me the dialog box confirming that everything was synced. And it appeared to copy and sync whatever Contacts in the Apple Contacts and calendar entries in the Apple Calendar into Outlook and vice versa. Cool since that's what I wanted.
Then I tried using the Blackberry Desktop Manager to sync everything to my Blackberry Torch 9810. Everything looked like it synced until I opened my Blackberry and all my Contacts were gone. Same with my Calendar entries, except that the Calender entries were hit and miss to whatever copied over (some Calendar entries were missing and others were duplicates). Checked the Apple Contacts and all of them were gone. But when I opened Outlook, everything was there and all OK.
So am I missing something? Turning on Sync Services in Outlook should sync all my Contacts and Calendar with my Blackberry when I use Blackberry Desktop Manager, correct? So why is it still syncing with the Apple Contacts and Calendar (and why did it delete all my Apple Contacts and mess up my Apple Calendar)?
Good thing I backed everything up first so restored everything. But I have all my updated Contacts and Calendar in Outlook and I still need to sync all of that. I don't want to manually do it. So how do I fix this??

After a bit of googling I think you mean the notation "domain\username", i.e., a backslash separator but no leading backslash.
I am not familiar with that notation but apparently it is valid in some contexts.  I googled "os x "domain\username"" to confirm this notation.  Here's one of the hits that shows the notation:
OS X Lion: Guidelines for connecting to a DFS namespace via SMB
I think "DFS" is a distributed file system.  That's as much as I know about this.

  • Why is my iPad not syncing contacts and calendars?

I am baffled. When I look at the settings on my iPad it says that it is set to sync these things with my computer. When I plug it into iTunes, I get the message from iTunes that my settings for contacts and calendars are being automatically synced with iCloud, and that syncing through the computer may generate double entries. However, it is NOT syncing automatically. My iPhone was syncing, but does not have the latest entries on my computer calendar. Can someone tell me how to get both devices to sync automatically? Also, how soon should the syncing take place when a new entry is made? Thanks, Barbara

  • Z30 & BB Link not syncing Contacts and Calendar with Outlook 2010

Just loaded Outlook 2010 and went to sync my Z30 with BB Link.
    1st attempt :
Configuration  :  Contacts : 2 way sync : Notify me when there are any conflicts
Calendar : 2 Way sync : Always use device data
    Result :
    No sync with Contacts
    No sync with Calendar
(Also, Contacts disappeared until I restarted device.)
    2nd attempt :
Same config. however no disappearing contacts this time.
Started sync at 6PM and at 8PM the sync appeared to have hung as it did nothing and there was no indication of any activity.
    Result :
No sync & restarted Link and logged in again to try again.
    3rd attempt :
Changed to one way from device to computer
Added Outlook to the files it looks in even though it already says it does that in the config. Section of the contacts.
Result  :  Still no contacts or calendar thought it showed it was doing the transfer.
After each of these I have shut down Outlook in case a restart would show the contacts.
    Running out of ideas here.

Mind sharing the version of your OS and BlackBerry Link?

Check that you have entered the information into an iCloud group and not an On My Mac group, only information in iCloud groups will sync.

    Thank you.

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

  • Unable to sync contacts and calendar to outlook 2010 or iphone 5

I work in IT and several of our clients are have trouble syncing contacts and calendar to outlook 2010 or iphones.
I have uninstall itunes completely from the computer, deleted the backup and clear the sync history nothing seems to be working.
Is there are problem with the latest itunes and if so when will the fix be release???

This is exactly what I am dealing with. Blackberry Link will work great for awhile and then something happens and I can not sync my contacts. I have spent many hours and days trying to fix this to no avail. BB support has been great but I still go through a long process each time. This week I finally gave up and started using the Microsoft Hotmail Outlook Connector since my company does not offer Active Sync or Exchange. It works flawlessly. I would dedfinitely check it out. If you swith to a Widows Phone or Android this is one of the options they recommend you use.
In a nutshell Link is awful and BB should be ashamed of the product they put on the market. I will only use it for syncing pictures and documents. Good luck!

  • Can I sync contacts and calendars with iTunes Match enabled?

I’m getting an iPhone in a couple of weeks and really want iTunes match but the more I read about it the more I’m wondering whether it’ll be worth the hassle. I’ve loads of old CD rips at 128 kbps and protected iTunes files, also at 128 kbps, and what really attracts me is the idea of upgrading all these to unprotected 256 kbps.
I have a Macbook for personal use and a PC for work, being able to sync both computers to the phone will be essential for me. I know that I wouldn’t be able to sync music with iTunes match enabled but if I can sync contacts and calendars and drag Office documents to the phone from both computers that would be OK.
Please could someone tell me whether this would be possible?

    Brij011 wrote:
I think I understand now, it's nothing to do with syncing music - everything is synced through iTunes. Have I understood properly?
    Yes. Including music.
    Brij011 wrote:
This could be a major blow for me as I'll be using the iPhone mainly for work so I will have to Sync with the PC. If I understand this correctly, once I decide to sync with Outlook on the PC as the main priority I can no longer sync with the Macbook?
What if I ditch iCloud and sync everything through USB?
If it is possible for you to do so you might want to consider signing up for an iCloud account <http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html>. Keep in mind that iCloud and iTunes Match are seperate services. One does not require the other. However iCloud will work with Outlook 2007 and up so you can keep all your contacts in sync across the devices. You can also sign up for iTunes Match if you want. Or you might even consider using Google to do what you want. It is not necessary for you to keep syncing via USB, unless that is just what you are comfortable doing.

  • Sync contacts and calendar

I have a iPod 5th Gen Video and a iPod Touch. When I try to sync contacts and calendar it does not work. I get a message pop up saying "cannot sync calendar. Log out & log back in". I am using Windows Vista and the latest iTunes and Outlook 2003.
Now at work I use Win XP and Outlook 2003 and both iPods sync contacts and calendar from Outlook perfectly. So is this an issue with Vista?
    Any help will be appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
You cannot...with OWA, you get email only...nothing more.
    Good luck!

  • Can't sync contacts and calendar

    Hello,
I am using OVI 2.2.0.241 and it is failing to sync contacts and calendar:
    Error code for contacts: 80043b21
    Error code for calendar: 80043bd4
It doesn't sync anything between the device and ovi. I updated a contact in OVI, but it was not updated on my phone
I am using Office 2010 64x under Windows 7 64x. Language is PT-BR in all aplications.
    My phone is N95 8GB V30.0.018
Let me know if any more info is necessary.

    Hi Guys
Look, I don't know if this will help perhaps.
We use Novell Groupwise (a stupid system if you ask me) at work and I finally got Outlook and Groupwise to be happy together concerning email. None of my problems were Outlook or MS issue, everything was Novell's fault. Then I had a lot of trouble getting my N8's calendar to sync to Outlook from Nokia Suite v 3.4.49, again this was Novell's fault.
So my solution was to create a dummy account in Outlook, which I only use for my calendar....and no problem.
The dummy account I set up uses my actual email address as a POP3 account with the correct server information. But I set it to ask for a password everytime and I set the port number to be deliberately incorrect. So now, I have a calendar that syncs, no problem and I have my work email in outlook from Novell that works no problem (except for the occasional crash, again Novell's fault). It is a slight compromise, because everytime Outlook Sends/Receives, it gives and error on the dummy account I created; but I just ignore this.
I can't quite understand why you can't create a calendar in Outlook that is not linked to an email address?
I hope this helps? or gives you an idea to a solution.
P.S. I think Nokia completely messed up the N8 with software. It was an absolutely stunning phone when it came out of the box; and as the newer software versions came out, the phone went downhill.

The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running?
