Outlook express on blackberry?

How do I configure Outlook Express on my PC? I am using my Verizon Blackberry Storm cell for my ISP. I need all the info, I'm not very computer literate, so forgive my dumb questions. What do I need to put in the IP address, TCP/IP, modem, etc. all the information required to set it up. I will mention I have yahoo already set up on my cell and PC. Just can't figure out how to make Outlook Express work. Many thanks in advance!
Make my Blackberry Car Holder

Hello,
Since you admitted to being a bit computer illiterate, we can forgive you a little. Unfortunately, your inquiry makes no sense.
Your subject line indicates you want Outlook Express to run on your BB -- not possible.
Your next line asks for help configuring OE on your PC -- that's a question for an OE type of forum...this forum is for BB-specific stuff. While BBs can integrate with PC's (and such questions would be good for here), actually configuring and running OE on your PC (sans any BB interaction) is pretty much out of the realm of this site.
Your next line says you are using your VZW BB Storm for your ISP -- I don't believe that it's possible for a BB Storm to be an ISP...so that makes no sense.
Your next line says you need all the info -- what info? I can't figure out what you are trying to accomplish.
Where are you needing to put in the IP address, TCP/IP, modem, etc. settings? Again...I'm not at all sure what you are trying to set up.
Your later sentence says you already have Yahoo working on your cell and your PC...then you say you can't make OE work...again a contradiction.
So, all in all, I'm lost and have no idea how to guide you. If you could clearly state what you are attempting to accomplish, perhaps we can help...but, as it stands from your post, I'm just as lost as you are...

  • Outlook express and blackberry

Hi - I am new to blackberry and I am sure you have all figured this out but I need some help. I use outlook for my calendar but only that. I use outlook express for my email and addresses.  I currently have my outlook calendar, memo, tasks, etc all synced into my blackberry. I also have my outlook express address book synced into my blackberry. I am trying to syn my emails from outlook express into blackberry - can you do that? I have a yahoo and earthlink email currently coming into blackberry separately but would like them to come into outlook express on my blackberry.
Any advice would be appreciated.  Also - when I delete an email in outlook express it does not delete the email on my blackberry. I know because the two are not communicating this won't happen but I would like to figure that out as well.

    Hi
In order to have a fully-functioning BB, you will need a Data Plan from your carrier. Amongst other benefits, this will mean you have a BIS (BB Internet Service) and can link up to 10 email accounts which you can also link to Outlook and sync between the BB and Outlook.

  • How to sync email from outlook (or outlook express) to BlackBerry Smartphone?

Is it possible to sync local email from outlook or outlook express to BlackBerry device? I know BlackBerry Desktop Manager cannot support it. Any other tool? Thanks!

    HI there!
    au contraire mon frere!
See this KB for DTM/PIM compatibility:
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
But, you are going to have to further explain what you mean by "sync local email"...there are several possible interpretations of those words, and we'd want to make sure we address exactly what you desire. For instance...new emails or a full mailbox sync? Is the mailbox truly local, or is it technically hosted at some email provider (with Outlook being merely the client access mechanism for the PC)? Please provide details of precisely what you are seeking so that we can address it correctly.
    Cheers!

  • Outlook express - blackberry sent items

Is there anyway I can copy my sent items from my blackberry device to outlook express, or at least copy them to a folder on a PC?

    Hey ronltl,
The only way to get sent items to your Outlook Express would be to auto BCC yourself on every email you send from your device. You can probably set a rule in your Outlook Express to automatically send these message to a specific folder. Have a look at this article for setting up auto BCC http://bbry.lv/cSCHos

  • 8830 & Desktop Manager does not recognize Outlook Express 2000, cannot sync

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 and connected to my BB 8830.  I use Outlook Express 2000 for calendar and I want to sync it with my BB 8330.  However, in Desktop Manager under Sync / Config / Select Device for calendar, the only choices are Yahoo and Import/Export Text.  Obviously it is not recognizing Outlook Express 2000 as a calendar program.  Does anyone have a solution?
I bought this 8830 mainly to sync its calendar with my Outlook Express calendar.  If it does not work, then I am going to return it to my cell phone carrier.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Outlook 2000 has not been supported since Desktop Manager 4.2.
KB14763 Unable to select Microsoft Outlook 2000 from the list of applications for synchronization
I would check on Outlook 2003, still supported by MS and the cheapest version still available.
    Thanks,

  • Accessing Outlook Calendar & ToDo's on PC using Outlook Express Address Book

How can I setup Outlook in the BB Desktop Manager so I can use it synch my calendar and To Do's?  I'm synching my address book from Outlook Express just fine.  But the system isn't seeing Outlook.  Why?
    Thanks much for your help.

I am not sure you can sync to both, simultaneously.
In your Desktop Manager > Sync settings, do you see your Outlook as a choice?
Have you used Outlook on your desktop PC, before?

  • Need help recovering corrupted outlook express address book

So my dad's address book won't open. First, outlook express says that the address book isn't installed properly, and then that the address book file is corrupted. It has important business contacts, so its imperative that I save the data.
How can I get into the file? I can open it in notepad and I see a lot of the text, but its mostly names and I can't find any email addresses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Certainly you can.

  • Problems syncing BB Curve 8330 with Outlook Express

Just got a new BB Curve 8330 and love the phone, but having problems syncing with Outlook Express 6.0. I am running Desktop Manager 4.5 (started with 4.7 and had same problem) and Windows XP SP3. I need to sync Addresses and Calendar. When I go to configure syncronization and select Calendar and Setup, I never see any option for Outlook Express or Outlook (only see ASCII and Yahoo). When I select Addresses and Setup, I do see and select Outlook Express. However, when I syncronize no addresses are moved across to the Curve.
Any ideas on how to get the Outlook Express options to appear on Calendar Sync or how to troubleshoot why the Address Syncronization doesn't work (i.e. is there a log file that might have errors I could look up?) If necessary, I also have Outlook 200 on this computer if I have to go that way.
Thanks in advance for any help!!
    Ron

    Hi LeslielG,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Can you please verify that the appointments being deleted during synchronization are still on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone? If they have been removed due to the Keep Appointments setting, the synchronization will try to remove them from Microsoft® Outlook® as well. This KB article provides more information on this. "Calendar items occurring in the past are being deleted from the calendar application on the computer" http://bbry.lv/KKQSel
    Hope this helps.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
A lot more detail is needed to understand your issue...for instance:
    Your specific BB Model
Your specific BB OS (all 4 octets)
Your DTM version (again, 4 octets)
    Your PC PIM version
    Your PC OS version
Good luck and let us know!

No no no... you are not receiving email from Outlook express. It doesn't work that way.
Try this... Blackberry's Email Account Validation Tool.

so you presently do not have the ability to view emails in HTML. You can do a free upgrade to go from 4.3 to 4.5. It usually goes on well, but I am not sure doing that on your own is a good idea. It should be fine, but in case it is not for some reason, you have to have someone to help you out.
If you still want to do the upgrade, please do it. We are here whenever you may need help, 7/7 and almost 24/24.
