Output format in html

Hai..
In Classical Report , i'm getting the correct output format. While spooling in sm37, the report sent through mail in html format. In html format ,the output alignment is coming wrong. Plz hrlp to resovle this.

Problem with Excel output format

Hi Guys,
I am creating a report in XML Publisher (not standalone). I am facing some problems could anyone please help me to figure out the issues.
Is it possible to have all three output format (PDF, HTML & EXCEL) exact (same aligned) only by creating a single RTF Template? I am facing the problem with Excel output format the output format of excel is taking excels cell formatting.
Example Numeric fields --> Right Aligned, text fields --> Left Aligned
One more issue with excel is -ve(negative) values are getting displayed in red and in brackets like ($13) (with red color).
Our client want excel output on priority.
Is there any limitation for excel output format of reports?
It is very urgent for us please help.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have read that blog for excel limitations but i have more question?
1) What about the negative values?
if any field is displaying negative amount then excel not displaying right value for that:(
2)How can we align header or data?
Do XMLP with EBS provide any solution for formatting in excel?
3) If for the alignment of numeric value we concatenate them with any special character then how can we perform calculation that field?
Here are so many formatting issues do we need to write any code in xml for that?
Please help.

Different types of output format in broadcasting

Hi
When I schedule the broadcasting via query designer, three options available for selection on output format: MHTML, HTML and on line link to current data. Can anyone share with me the differences between these? Besides, any configurable option to have output format in Excel.

In the initial broadcaster screen->choose from the following: query, web template, query view, report, and workbook.-> The only output option you get after selecting that is MS Excel Workbook(Once check the settings in broadcasting window. select the output format as excel and select the check box as zip file. )--->need to create a workbook first and install precalculation server.

Want text input containing HTML tags to appear as HTML in output format

Hi,
We have a table in Oracle database that has a column named detail,one of its values is like this: <bold><italics>Good Morning</italics></bold>. What our client wants is that the output format should show: Good Morning. That is,Bi Publisher should be able to parse the HTML tags and provide the desired output. Please tell me how to achieve this. Any help is much appreciated.

Output Report in HTML format thru Oracle Forms. ASAP!!!

How can i create a HTML output format thru Oracle Runtime Form?
I have tried using the .REP and i was able to produce the HTML output format but when call the .REP using Oracle Form i was not able to produce the desired output.

You have to add 3 parameters to param list :
DESTYPE with value "FILE"
DESNAME with value of desired filename
DESFORMAT with value "HTML" or "HTMLCSS" (for cascading style sheets)

Different resolution in preview and output format

Hi Folks
I need your help. We already captured a lot of e-learning material but come to a problem.
The output format quality is less good than the preview quality.
Win7 /Captivate 6
Capture resolution for software simulation is 1024x768.
Producing the material in swf and html. No compressing, set to best quality.
Open the preview: quality is nearly the same as the original source.
Open the swf directly or the html --> output looks cloudy, diffuse.
Test with an without scalable html. In case of scalable html it is hard to find the right resolution (1024x768) on a 1280x1024 resolution monitor, but you can find it and the the output is clear as the preview.
The output format resolution within the project is set to 1024x768. We measured the "true" output resolution on different produced output formats, and they are all a little bit higher than 1024x768, about 4% more heigh and width.
Of course, I was able to change the html-script which sets the start-format for an swf to open, if I change it to 1024x768 and save it, the quality of the swf is like the preview and sharp and ok. But in case of scalable html I cannot set the format. However, why the swf -even when i start/opeen it directly- didn't start with the right resolution set in the settings within the project?
Also our target group should not "search" for the sharp resolution by scaling the output window.
Why does captivate change the resolution? why is the preview ok and the produced swf not? I didn't understand that fact.
Also we like to produce with TOC, so the widht for TOC is 250. If I change the html script in that case to 1024+250=1274x768 the swf is also unshapr/cloudy and I havee no change to fit it to the right resolution (1024+TOC).

Is any difference in the CDR output format of CUCM version 6.1.5 and 7.1.5?

Hello,
Customer has a CUCM 6.1.5 cluster which is getting upgraded to 7.1.5. currently the CUCM CDR is sent to a external system (performix) which generates required reports. I would like to know if there is any difference in the CDR output format of CUCM version 6.1.5 and 7.1.5/ its vital to confirm this prior to upgrade as the performix is managed by a different vendor.
Please advise !

A comma-separated values (CSV) file stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain-text form. As a result, such a file is easily human-readable (e.g., in a text editor).re: colours of html output
interestingly, there are settings in print attributes, but they have no bearing on the output... obviously nothing to do with the html output. Probably best bet is BI Publisher, where you can define your own report templates.

Output Format as Template Parameter

Can this be done?
Some reports users need in both PDF and Excel format. Generally, same template can not produce nice output in both formats, and has to be adjusted for each one. However, some adjustments (like suppressing headers) could be made within the same template if we had the Format in available in the template.
What we can do is to create a regular parameter with several possible format options and use it in the template. But this looks a bit silly, because user would have to select the same parameter twice.

There is a property that can be set to suppress headers and footers when the output is in HTML/Excel - the name escapes me right now but please check the docs and the UI.
I think this would allow you to have a single template rather than supporting output specific templates.

I have just 'imported' a video clip from my Sony DV camcorder via the firewire port.
It uses tape but is digital (I think) it save the file to disc in AVI format. This is good I know AVI.
After I have edited the clip and save (share) it to computer I have various options to save it as. See below;
I have saved the same clip in a variety of formats to compare them.
The 'm2t' and 'Pal DVD' formats also create an additional file .xmpses
However the m2t file plays after I have moved this 'extra' file to a different directory

The physical image sizes as displayed on the laptop screen are different. some take up 1/4 of the screen and some 1/2 of the screen.
They all expand to full screen. I am not sure if I can any difference in quality thought.
Obviously the file sizes varies a lot.
I don't seam to be able to output in avi format!!!!!!
I intend to leave the files on my NAS drive to stream to my tv via a streaming box I will purchase soon, I am currently using a ps3, but may at some point in the future burn some clips to disc for friends and family
I may also watch them on the computer screen.
I appreciate the quality can never get better than the original but what output format should I use and is this extra file needed?

Default output format

Hi all.
How does one specify the default output format for a template that can have multiple output formats?
I want some to default to PDF and some to default to HTML.

Best table format for html?

I see that after I convert my FM doc to Online Help (via webworks), the tables do not expand in the output the way the text does. Is there a specific table format that works best for conversion to html?

in FrameMaker you design each table to have certain column widths because you are limited by the size of your page (and the paper).
HTML browsers have more freedom unless they are explicitly instructed to create certain column widths. The basic rule for HTMl tables (and there is only a single table "format" in HTML) are those:
Check each column for its minimum width, specified by a graphic or a very long unhyphenated word.
Look in each column for the longest content. i.e. as if multi-line content would be written in a single line (attention: tags force line breaks)
If all columns expanded to hold the longest content fit inside the browser window: scale them accordingly: This may result in tables which are smaller than in print, because they contain only very short texts
If the columns do not fit the current browser width, scale them down to fit the browser width, but only as far as the minimum width.
If the sum of minimum widths is wider than the browser window: create a horizontal scrollbar.
Of course, using CSS instruction like {width: 12em;} one can force certain column width independent from content, but this is usually not the default.
If you want all your tables to always span the full width of the browser window, you have to add the following to your CSS (maybe via the Webworks UI):
table { width: 100%; }

Getting output format

Hi,
I would like to get the output format (HTML, PDF, HTML etc.) that the user requested the report to be in on submission time.
I'm using XML Publish 6.5.3 in EBS 11.5.10CU2.
I have a report which contains a lot of columns. This is okay as long as the user chooses to get the output in XLS, TEXT or HTML but when the user chooses RTF or PDF it looks like sh.. parden my french.
I want to be able to do different formatting based on the output format that the user chooses when submitting the report from the concurrent manager inside EBS. Can this be achieved by using predefined context variables? I know that I can get the information by quering on the request in my report triggers, but it would be nice if there was some standard variable that I could use.

APEX Report Output Formats

In the SQL Workshop query builder can the output of these queries be changed to HTML or ASCII? We have WEBDB running and are able to change the output formats at run time.

The APEX Query Builder was not designed as a report generator. It’s main purpose is to allow novice users to create SQL queries in a bit more friendly manner. After testing the validity of the query, with the displayed format type, you should actually copy the generated SQL code into an appropriate page region, like a report region.
The configuration options of this specific tool are very limited, and as far as I know, the kind of things you are asking for can’t be done in this version. One of the major additions to APEX 4.0 will be something (I don’t know the final name for it) that will allow you to do the sort of things you are asking for.

You can’t change the displayed number of records in the Query Builder. A possible work around can be to copy the SQL query into the SQL Commands. There you can control the number of displayed records.
