Output individual pages?

Is it possible to output individual pages with Flashpaper
from MS Word and still preserve text hyperlinks?
I find that you can use Print to output individual pages when
you select Flashpaper as the "printer" but it loses the links.
My objective is to create pages in MS Word and output
separate SWF files to be loaded into another FLash movie.

InDesign certainly has much better typography than Photoshop, and better control over placing and cropping/scaling multiple images, in my opinion, because that's what it is designed to do. Are you certain the RIP won't accept PDF data? I didn't see anything on the website that discussed file formats
I really appreciate your thoughts on this thought -- I want to do it the best way possible -- though it seems like there is no best way given the issues.
There is one line of type, so this is not about the typography -- though in the past I have done similar projects with more type which has been fine with the files created in PS and print with this RIP and printer. It's much more about the photography. I appreciate InDesign may be better for placing multiple images that is why I have been thinking about buying it to do this. I used to do this work with another page layout program and to get the output ripped those files with PS to create a TIF I could print. Ugh! I saw the type was degraded too, though ok for that, and that is partly why I switched to doing this in PS.
ImagePrint, per my post above, will not print PDF files unless I add the optional print through application (additional cost) and then border less printing is not supported (want borderless).
Are all of the images in the same color space? If not it might make more sense to composite the pages in the RIP itself, if you can. The problem with using a raster format, even converting a high quality PDF exported from ID, is that you degrade the type.
Peter
Most of the images are in Adobe 1998 but some are in ProPhoto RGB (coming from Lightroom) and in any case will convert them all to Adobe 1998 when placing them in PS files. I don't think the layout tools in the RIP, while quite good, are nearly as good as what I can do with PS.
Thanks! Any more thoughts greatly appreciated.

  • Emailing individual Pages from a Pages doc?

I am mebership secretary of an organisation. Next month I have to send individual invoices to over 100 members. to create personalised invoces, I set up the invoice in Pages and then used Numbers to merge individual members' names, addresses, etc into this document.
Last year I was working on a PC and with Word and Excel and there was an option to email individual pages from the Word doc. It was easy and quick to send out all the invoices.
However, in Pages, it only offers merge to a new document or to the printer. Even if there was a was a way of being able to quickly separate each page (ie individual invoice) from the one Pages doc, I could individually send the emails, but it looks as if separating the pages will be long and laborious.
It has to be easy and straightforward - ie not using Apple script (if at all possible), as whoever takes over this role from me - and who may not be so computer savvy, will need to be able to do this job easily.
    Grateful for any suggestions.

    s,
Go ahead and Print the Pages document to PDF > Open in Preview.
Make sure that you are viewing the thumbnails in the Sidebar.
    1. Click on a page thumbnail in the Sidebar of the PDF document, visually confirm the content, Command-C to Copy.
    2. File > New From Clipboard
    3. File > Mail Document.
Repeat steps 1-3 for each page you wish to mail.

  • I have about 20 individual pages files that I would like to include in a single page document that contains them all. Can I do this and if so how?

I have 20 individual pages documents in about the same format I would like to include them into individual pages of b 20 plus page "page document"
Can I do this and if so how. I am a new pages user and very much a biginer. Any suggestions?

    Create a new blank document.
open the individual documents one by one.
In their thumbnails area, select the page's icon
    copy it to the clipboard
Paste it in the thumbnail area of the new document.
Insert a page break at the document's end.
Repeat the process for every individual documents.

  • How do you save individual pages in a template

If I create a template it gives me an option of how many pages to capture. Capturing three pages then gives me one item in the menu for managing pages. If I save this as a template when it opens I get three pages.
What I need in the template is three individual pages, say cover, text 1 and text 2, all selectable from the pages menu - just the way the apple templates appear.
The user manual gives instructions about deleting pages if you only want them to appear in the submenu but in spite of a number of experiments I've failed to make this work. Any deletions, after capturing a page but before saving the template simply lose the page.
Can any one provide any insights into how to create templates with a list of pages.
I've posted a related question on section breaks that may form part of the solution.
Any help would be much appreciated.

To capture individual pages you need to put a section break at the beginning of each page. Then follow the instructions in the help menu. (See your other post for details.)

  • Is there a way to export individual page items as PDF or EPS?

I have a long document, all threaded, with a bunch of inline graphics. Many of the inline graphics have callouts and pointer lines. I take the graphics, callouts, and pointers, group them, and then cut and paste the group inline into the text flow. I want to be able to tag the graphic (complete with pointers and callouts) for an XML export. But I cannot tag a grouped object. I remember learning at the PeP conference in May that one way was to build the graphic with callouts in AI, and then place it into ID. But I already have an established workflow, with hundred of grouped inline objects in my ID docs.
So I was wondering if there is a script that will allow me to export individual page page items as PDF or EPS. I know that you can export page items as JPEG, but I don't want rasterized text. Please assist. Thanks.

  • AI CS4 Need to switch from letter (individual page PDf) to tabloid for duplex on digital press.

I've  figured out the individual art boards are the "new tiling".  We set catalog pages up on Tabloid so that we can duplex them on our digital press. We also need to print them as indivdual letter size pages for our automtated PDF approval system.  I've been successful at creating the individual artboards for letter size, but can't figure out how to get them back to a tabloid size so that the two pages are one. In CS3 all we had to do is set the page size for letter - tile full pages and done. Then switch back to tabloid for our runs on the digital press. I'm perplexed about how that works with art boards.
    Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Terry

You'll need 3 artboards. 1 for each individual page then a third which is tabloid sized and overlaps the other two artboards.
    Print artboard 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, etc. for letter sizes, and print artboard 3, 6, 9, etc for tabloid prints.

  • CS5 on Win-7 to Xerox Phaser 7750 PS outputs 2/page printouts.

I recently upgraded to a new computer running Windows 7, 64 bit.  I have the Adobe CS5 with Acrobat.  When I print to my Xerox Phaser 7750 PS printer from any Adobe program (Even Reader) the output will print as if outputting 2 pages/sheet.  I.E. a letter size (portrait) file will be reduced to fit on half a page, landscape orientated.  If printing a multi-page document in Reader or Acrobat it will print booklet style.
I can override the problem in Reader and Acrobat by printing as an image, but the other products won't allow me to do this (or I can't figure out how!).  I have the most current Xerox driver, and Xerox is telling me it is an Adobe problem since my other PS printers work fine.
I have this problem only with Adobe Programs, and only on this printer.  All other programs I have print correctly to the Xerox, and the Adobe CS5 prints correctly with my other printers.  The Xerox is my only Color printer and I need to fix this problem.  Any help out there?

Did you ever find a solution to this problem as I have just encountered the same problem today?

  • Cannot delete individual pages in Adobe Acrobat X PDF

So annoying.  When I try to delete individual pages it gives me the error message "one or more pages are in use and cannot be deleted".  I have tried closing the thumbnail page preview pane, selecting the pages and hitting backspace (delete), highlighting and choosing the 'delete page' icon at the top of the toolbar....nothing.  I have seen a lot of threads about this issue that are dated 2011 with no solutions.  Has anyone out there found the solution?
    Much appreciated.
Using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.4, Mac OSX 10.7.4

    What you said,
If you actually want to fix this problem in Acrobat X:
    1. Go to the Help Menu
    2. Select Repair Installation
    3. Follow the instructions
    4. Get on with your life
    was perfectly right. Thanks!

Hi thanx. I had installed the trial version. But when I tried to open Page Control Plug-in the computer tells me that there is no default application to open the file. How do you use it with Adobe Indesign?

  • How to email the individual pages in a script to different vendors

    Hi,
i got a requirement of script to email sending.
this email sending option should be include in a standard program.
in that program currently it is printing the invoice list in such a way that all the vendor details appended to same script in different differnt pages.
i.e: for every vendor it is printing an individual page, but these pages are combined into a single script.
Now my requirement is to convert script to pdf and send the corresponding page data to  the particular vendor using email functionality.
i know how to convert the script to pdf. but i am unable to breake the pages and send to that particualr vendor.
can any one tell me how to proceed.

  • When I have a pdf file open, I used to be able to click on "Bookmarks" tab on left side and allow me to click on each individual page and delete if I needed to.  Now when I click on the Bookmarks tab, that section is empty.  How can I get it to show each

when I have a pdf file open, I used to be able to click on "Bookmarks" tab on left side and allow me to click on each individual page and delete if I needed to.  Now when I click on the Bookmarks tab, that section is empty.  How can I get it to show each page again?

    Hi chrismarks1,
I think you may be confusing bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click the Page Thumbnails icon (the one above the Bookmarks icon), then you can delete a page by clicking its thumbnail, and clicking the Delete Pages icon (the trashcan icon). Just make sure that you're viewing the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), as you can't delete pages from Reader.
    Best,

  • How to change background image for each individual page in a template?

I've been working for hours to try to figure out how to change the background image for each individual page in a template.  I have tried making a div in the body and adding a CSS and setting a background picture.  Unfortunately even after I made it editable all templated webpages changed.  I tried looking at different forum results which didn't really help me out. http://forums.adobe.com/message/2670005#2670005#2670005.  I've also tried embeding a CSS style on the webpage instead of the external CSS which again didn't work.  I'm not sure where to go from here.  Is there a good video that explains this clearly.  Please help.  Thanks.

Adjust inline styles to suit your needs.

  • How can I get thumbnails of individual pages in the left margin of Acrobat 8?

Hello:. I am not sure of the term, but in the past, when I opened a PDF in Acrobat 8, in the left margin, it showed "thumbnail" images of each individual page. I was able to jump from page to page without scrolling through the larger PDF image, and also select pages to print. This has now disappeared---how can I get it to return?
    Thanks very much!
    John

That does it, thanks very much!

  • Collating several individual pages

    Hello,
I am hoping someone can help.
I have several individual documents which I wish to collate into one. N
Each individual page is a collage of images and text. Is there a way of flattening the layers so that I can copy and paste each page into a new document or is there another way? I used the Word Processing layout. At the moment I cant seem to copy and paste the entire page, just the object clicked on.
    Many Thanks
    DD

10.6.8 is OSX, the system software, not a Mac.
It sounds like you have the short keyboard. There should be a function key bottom left, that modifies other keys.
As I said you have a mess of returns and floating objects with wrap. When you disturb it it makes things pop.
Pages doesn't show pages with no text on it, so when the text retracts off a page it disappears, The floating content that was on it, is still in the document but on the missing page/s.
You should cut and paste the floating objects into the text, so they don't get mislaid.
Text is like a long string winding its way from left to right and down the document. Inline objects are part of that string acting like big fat characters. If you don't understand the interactions of floating objects, the surrounding text and the text wrap around the floating objects, stick with inline objects as much as possible, pasting them on their own lines if possible.
