Output Log in ME23N

Hi,
I have created a Z Driver Program and Smartform and assigned to Output type 'NEU' .
In general after issuing the output of the Purchase Order. Output log should be created. But when I issue the PO output and check the log the log has not been created.

If u want to update the Processing log for a particular output...
Then use NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE.

SRM PO Output log table name

Hi,
We are using extended classic scenario. PO is created in SRM. When SRM PO is created, email is sent to supplier. I wanted to know the name of SRM PO output log.

Hi Satish,
If you want to see the Output sent from SRM you can check the transaction SOST.
OR
if you want to check the triggered output for PO:
You can use transaction BBP_PPF to see the output logs
Enter the following values for PO log:
1.Action definition = 'STANDARD_PO'
2. Application Key = Enter PO Number
You can remove any value in time Frame.
Click on Start .You will see all the triggered output's for PO.
You can access this in Web GUI (ITS) with trasaction link 'Issue Purchase Order'
If you want to see the Output sent from SRM you can check the transaction SOST.

BUG Cannot clear output log with menu mnemonic key in JDev 10.1.2.1

JDev 10.1.2.1 build 1913
Windows XP Professional SP2
Open the output log.
Right click in log window to show the contextual menu.
The "Clear" action has 'r' underlined, but if you press 'r', then nothing happens.

One more detail:
I tested the behavior in Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0.0. The recent surprise is Select One Choice is behaving perfectly when it used in Grid layout and fail to work when it is form layout. I am getting surprised why behavior of component varies based on the way it refers the binding.

Document Output - PDF-based forms - output log (error)

Hello,
Ever since activating the PDF-based form for BUS2201 the following error shows via viewing the 'output log':
E     Business AddIn Was Not Called     http://srm7.atosorigin-ica.com:80/sap/ebp/docserver?msgdocuget&MsgId=SPPF_MEDIA&MsgNo=038&Langu=EN&sap-client=100
E     Printing Error
E     Action could not be succesfully executed
Anybody else has experienced the error 'Business Addin Was Not Called' before? What does it mean? I know there is _SF badi active but it doesn't really contain anything apart from

No output on job step output log with perl's print statement under WINDOWS

Running a perl script ( ActivePerl 5.8.8.x ) on a remote WINDOWS box through llinux-based EM 10.2.04 deployment procedure, in the EM job step output log I've noticed that the print statement in that perl script displays nothing for array or element from array but displays proper value for any scalar variable. Any clue for this kind of issue ?

OS Filesystem Copy of EM Job Output Log?

Is there a predictable location & filename to view OEM (Database Control: dbconsole) output logs for jobs that run? I have a nightly backup that runs and I want to use a simple korn shell script to do some evaluation on the output log of the RMAN backup.

I too was wanting to look at the output of the jobs. OEM was reporting the job status as successful, but that just meant that it was able to attempt to run my script.
I put this together to give me more info on failures. Test an modify to meet your needs, particulary the last line.

Output Log in Simulation window blank?

why is the output log in the simulation window blank? then it just shows the summary after the simulation is done.

Please attach your project so we can see what is going on. Without the project there is not going to be any way to tell what is going on.

the table PPFTTRIGG holds all actions for different application objects that are to be executed later (status unprocessed) or have been executed (status processed successfully/with error). The first guig just identifies the action object itself
OS_GUID identifies action object
The second set refers to the application object, this action belongs to. The application object is defined by its key. As the application object is a persistent object, it can also be defined by its class name and a unique id:
APPLKEY semantic key of application object
APPL_OID unique id
APPL_CLS id of persistent class of application object
Each action has a processing object (medium), which is again identified by its id and class:
MEDIUM_OID id of processing object
MEDIUM_CLS persistent class of processing object
If you want to translate class ids into real class names, please have a look at tabe SEOCLASS.

Dynamically defined output log file in log4j

I am trying to generate an output log file dynamically using log4j. I have standard configuration XML file for log4j where I have an appender configuired. In my java code I am trying to add appender to the logger and then change an output file:

However getAppender method returns NULL, but at the same time I have an Appender named "rolling" in my confuiguration. And if I use standard output mechanism like "logger.info()" the message is being written into the defined file.

Hiding password in MaxL output log

On Win2K platform, I have a MaxL script that accepts 2 parameters and performs some actions.I invoke the script using a batch file in the following format:ESSMSH C:\scripts\Script1.msh AdminID passwordThe Maxl script sends all activity to a log file which is then automatically e-mailed to end users.The problem I have is that the log file contains the AdminID and password that was used in the MaxL script. I need all activity in the log because I automatically scan the log for errors.Is there a way using some of the available MaxL Shell Invocation flags that will perfrom the same action but hide the password from showing up in the log?Regards,Tom M.Essbase 6.5.4

We just upgraded to Essbase 7.1.3. Due to security concern, our security auditor is concern we even see the password in the Malx output log. Even we try to doa grep -v or sed -e on the password line to replace the old log, there is still a good window long enough to people to see it.<BR><BR>I tried spool and set message level, but none of them hides the login statement display. I also tried to use shell escape feature to run old ESSCMD login with MaxL, but couldn't get it to work. I was wondering if anyone who may have a new solution to this problem that can fix it on the fly other than fix it after the entire process is complete.<BR><BR>Essbase really should consider provide an option to hide the password in the output logic, or pad it with XXXXXXXXX.

RMAN Output Logs

Presently using OEM in Oracle 9i to perform our backups on a Solaris platform. I can see the output results in OEM, but in what directory are the RMAN scripts/output logs kept in the Solaris filesystem structure?

Output log to application log in application server

Hi Guys,
I am pretty new on J2EE, I created a web application and deployed it on to the oracle application server. I found out that I can view the log file(application.log) for that particular web application on the application control page. What I want to achieve is outputing some custom log on to the same built-in log file. Could anyone please show me how to do that?

Hi, I figured out that ADF is a oracle's implementation of JSF, I tried above approach it did log to a log.xml in the particular folder. However, I would like to output to a log file that you can actually view in the Enterprise Manager Console...

Report output log

Hi Friends,
I am testing a report on EBS R12 64bit.
(example PDSI Trial Balance - Detail)
After the report/request is submitted it will produce output or error logs, which can be viewed using the buttons below the screen and they have labels:
View Details, View Output, Diagnostics, View Log
My question is:
Which files/tables where the above output were being saved?
The users have lots of printed reports (old and new ) that are still staying in the database.
Do we need to maintain or purged them regularly? Im afraid they eat a lot of tablespaces
and run out of disk space.

of tablespaces and run out of disk space.How many rows you have in the FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES and FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS tables? Make sure it does in exceed 50K by running "Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data" concurrent program. This cocurrent program should be run on regular basis.

FinancialUtilService, downloadESSJobExecutionDetails method is not uploading ESS job output/log files to UCM.

We are invoking financialUtilService web service using HTTP Proxy Client to upload data files and submit ESS and to get ESS job log files. We are able to successfully upload and submit ESS job. But downloadESSJobExecutionDetails is not uploading logs/out files to UCM.

We have the same problem. On calling `downloadESSJobExecutionDetails`, a zipfile is returned, but it only contains my original upload file, not any logs. Although, if I call `downloadESSJobExecutionDetails` on a dependent child subprocess, the log is included.
I also reported this to oracle support (SR 3-10267411981) - they referred me to known bug, to be fixed in v11: https://bug.oraclecorp.com/pls/bug/webbug_edit.edit_info_top?rptno=20356187 (not public accessible though )
Is there any work around available?
