Output of Report in HTML/HTMLCSS Format

My application is developed in developer 6i & running on the web. When I take output of the report in HTML/HTMLCSS format the output is not perfect. There are many alignment problems.
Some words mix with others.
Can anybody advice me the solution of this problem.

the ReportExportFormat class does not have HTML format, it has got to be XML. Export to HTML is available from CR Designer only.

Email the Output of Report under HTML Format instead of .eps

I having Developer 6.0.5.0.2. I want to send an email from
report (Using Lotus Notes email client) as an HTML attachment.
Could any one guide me how to do that?

Set DESFORMAT = HTML in the Parameter Form Builder.(or in the
system Parameters under Data Model)
the DESTYPE should be MAIL only then you won't get the .eps file.

Output Reports in HTML

Hey guys. Im trying to output a report a HTML file. I know this is possible because i've read a good bit over white papers talking about the functionality, but I haven't been able to find a source that details the step by step instructions on how to create a report which exports out to a HTML file. Is there such thing?
Im thinking its a few simple settings on the reports builder, but i can't find them. Can someone point me to the correct documentation or show me how to do it? Thanks.

Boxes in PDF, RTF and HTMLCSS format

Hi People--
I am having a strange problem when I execute the Report
( Reports 6i RDF running against Reports 6 Runtime on Solaris) and dump the output to PDF, RTF or HTMLCSS formats.
There are boxes all around each of the fields. The same report has no boxes when I run and print it in the Live Previewer on Windows. HTML format works fine except that all
the borders have disappeared and it looks too pedestrian.
Any thoughts?

There seems to be more to it than this. This problem
occurs even when I run the RDF on Windows and generate
it to a file of formats RTF, PDF and HTMLCSS. Every
field has boxes around it though there are no borders
for any of the fields. Is there some property that I
am setting right or something I have to set to make

9ias reports format problem PDF - HTML - HTMLCSS

I have a report to be printed in PDF Or HTML or HTMLCSS format. I am using Oralce 9ias and Reports 9i. PDF output is OK. But the same output in HTML and HTMLCSS are not coming properly.
For e.g. I have a field with size as 150. I am setting Vertical elasticity of the field as expand. But in HTMLCSS if the field size is 150 it merging and not displaying properly. In HTMl it is coming properly. But the date fields i display gets wrapped into two lines.
Is it a bug or any solution present for this

Reports PDF output is high fidelity offering from Oracle Reports. I recommend you to use it as much as possible.
Regarding HTML/CSS, I feeling is that is not currently possible to format the way you say you want to. If this issue is very critical to your business, I suggest you to contact Oracle Support.

Generating reports in HTMLCSS format changes output in HP-UX

Hi All,
I'm using Oracle Report 6i in HP-UX, apparently my reports was generated fine in PDF format, but the reports output was awful when generated in HTMLCSS format. It seen that oracle reports was trying to squeeze the report horizontally and vertically. Therefore I do a simple test again, I create a simple report defination file in HP-UX, which only consist of a 15cm x 3cm box. When I generate this report in PDF format, it works fine, but when I generate it in HTMLCSS format, the box become smaller, for instance 12cm x 2.5cm. So I get the same rdf file and run again in Oracle Report 6i for NT, it works fine for both PDF and HTMLCSS.
The command I used to generate the reports are.
rwrun60 DESNAME="/tmp/emptyBox.html" DESTYPE=FILE PRINTJOB=NO BACKGROUND=YES PARAMFORM=NO DESFORMAT="HTMLCSS" USERID="scott/tiger@fms" REPORT="EmptyBox.rdf"
and I do set REPORTS60_NO_DUMMY_PRINTER=true in the environment variables.
Does anyone encounter this problem before?

Hi,
Try setting the environment variable REPORTS60_DEFAULT_PIXEL_SIZE=true. This will use the default pixel resolution instead of screen surface resolution to generate HTML/HTMLCSS output.

Problem in HTML and HTMLCSS format of reports

I'm using Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 to build a tabular report, in the repot preview everything is ok but in the real time I have two problems :
1- When I try to generate html file or access the report with desformat=html some graphical formats like lines and background colors are gone!. When I see the source of the generated HTML file the tables border is 0. I changed the border to be 1px with solid style and black color but nothing happened.
2- When I try to generate htmlCSS file or access the report with desformat=htmlCSS the graphics is there but when I print the report there is some shift between the generated page and the printed page i.e: the printed pages are not the same like the report's pages. I added some code in the after page property as a page break but nothing changed

Hi
The best way to organize data and images to get them next to each other is to use a table (no borders) in your RTF template. Create a two celled table and drop the image into one and the text next to it.

Output of Report in PDF Format on the Web

I am running my application developed in developer 6i on the web. When is take the output of the reports in HTML format the output comes fine.
But when I set the report output format to PDF from registry the browser does not open the file & gives the message error opeing file. But the file is accurately created in server's temporary directory which can be opened separately without reports server.
I am using IE 5 & also tried 6.
I have installed Forms & reports server from developer 6i CD without 9iAS.
Somebody gave me the answer that there is some bug in reports server. Is it really a bug ??? Another thing is if it is a bug, it also exists in 9iAS.

How to export the report in HTML format for desktop application

i have wrote the JRC desktop application to export the report and i am able to export it in PDF and other formats as mentioned in "ReportExportFormat" API.
i would like to know is there any API there which can export the report in HTML format.
i know it would be possible with web based application of JRC, but how can i do it in desktop application?

There's no mechanism for static HTML pages that displays the report.
You can use the CrystalReportViewer DHTML viewer, but that's 'interactive'.

Open Text output of a Report in Excel - Bad format

Hi All,
We have a report in Oracle Apps 11i(11.5.10) with Text as output format. We would like to open the file in Excel format.
We have done the recommended setups from the metalink note ID 316752.1.
Output is generated in Excel, but the format is not proper. Column level data is not displayed on Cell wise in the Excel, instead all the output is
dispalyed in single column in the Excel.
Any pointers on how to format the output to align each column in the output to the individual cell in the Excel.
Or else.. how to generate the output to Excel file?

Scheduling deski report to html format fails

We're running boxi 3.1 SP4 on a Linux redhat machine. When scheduling a deski report to html format to unmanaged disk, the report stays in processing state for 10 minutes and then it goes to failed state with error "Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server" . Additionally I get the message "The scheduler component failed the object identified by <jobnumber>. The job associated with the object was unresponsive."
Scheduling to other formats works fine. I have tracing on but there's not any hint in the logfiles. The htm file and it's subdirectories are created on the temporary location /data/procSched/<name>.DesktopIntelligenceJobServer but it's not copied to the configured destination. It is not an issue with permissions, the server has write permissions to the directory.

since your are in XI R2 you can only try to modify the layout of your report. In XI 3.x a new feauture was introduced, which allows the user to choose between keeping the layout or facilitating further processing in Excel when exporting a document in Excel.

Bi Publisher is great, but has a very high price tag. It's even more expensive than Forms & Reports Services. We are considering APEX to replace Forms & Reports on the web, but the reporting limitations are still a problem.
I wonder if there is another option.

It considers your time as the GST and than calculates the time for you as per the PST's rule.
Try like this:
DATA: time_stamp type timestamp,
dat TYPE d,
tim TYPE t,
tz TYPE ttzz-tzone.
tz = 'PST'.
* Get the time in the time stamp
get time stamp field time_Stamp.
CONVERT TIME STAMP time_stamp TIME ZONE tz
        INTO DATE dat TIME tim.
WRITE: /(10) dat, (8) tim.
