OUTPUT PROBELMS! GARBLED OUTPUT WHEN VIEWING FROM MAC 2 TV!

When running final cut, I usually view my work through a tv moniter as my external video monitor. However it is garbled and i have a feeling it is fixable? Anybody know how???

I output to my TV monitor via a DAC (digital to analogue converter) which takes the firewire signal and converts it to composite.
Since upgrading to FCP 5 I often find the picture on the TV is "grabled". All I do is select REFRESH DEVICES from my VIEW menu and it sorts it out. Let me know if this works.

As an example, html widget has white background on iPad, and black on mac. The same goes for interactive widget.
The MathType text inserted is inserted as a image, and will have the same color when in fullscreen as when not. So I need the textcolor to be the same in both views. Anyone know how to fix this?

Here's a re-creation of my own, going off what you described. You said "all html widgets and all gallery widgets" have this problem. So I inserted a blank HTML widget and a blank Gallery widget, and typed into both. Inserted a MathType equation into both. I don't see any difference when I preview it on my Mac compared to the preview on the iPad. I want to help, but I can't help if I can't duplicate the issue.

What version of Reader are they using, exactly? And are you sure they're
using Reader itself and not opening the file inside a browser window, for
example?

Firefox does not display my customised Adobe Air browser based skin when viewed from a server

Hi,
I have edited the skin for my Adobe Air Browser based help. It appears fine in Explorer and Chrome, but Firefox displays the default black Air skin when viewed from a server.
However, it appears OK when viewed locally on my machine in Firefox?
Does anyone know why this is or if there is a way to make my customised skin display when viewed from a server using the Firefox browser?

When Exporting a Crystal Report to Excel format all of the dates get changed when viewed on Mac version of Excel

We're using Crystal Reports 10 and when we export a report from the Crystal Viewer using either the MS Excel 97-2000 option or the MS Excel 97-2000 (Data Only) option, the date columns on the report appear as expected on a PC version of Excel, however, most of the users at our company use Macs so when they open the same report on the Mac version of Excel all of the dates show up as 2011 or 2012 dates eventhough they are suppose to be 2008 dates. We've tried to just open the report after the export process and then do a "Save As" but get the same result. The date columns all appear to be formatted as Date. The dates on the Crystal Viewer appear as expected when viewed on a Mac. The users are running Excel for Mac OS-X Service Release 1.0. Any idea why this may be happening and is there a solution to this problem? Thanks!

Path problem when moving from Mac to PC

Is there a relatively easy way to get the InDesign on PC to use the Mac link or does one have to change all the "hardcoded" links in the publications/documents?

I have just tested the function - and it seems that the files have to be in the same folder. It is not recursive as I see it. And since we have tens of thousand of pictures in thousands of different folders it does not seem to work.
Any other suggestions?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)
Apparently there is an issue if you push the Apple Remote before you set your computer to mirror. Whatever I did, it had locked it in that state. Once I stopped mirroring, then went onto the TV screen and restarted the Apple TV (#1 above) it then allowed me to choose mirroring on my Mac and the audio automatically switched from the computer to the TV (making the computer now mute), BTW the volume needs to be maxed on the computer as that will transmit to the TV if your volume is low on the computer. Then you can raise or lower it the way you want on your TV.

20" Intel iMac - DISPLAY LOOKS YELLOWISH WHEN VIEWED FROM AN ANGLE?

Just got a brand new 20" iMac and the display looks great when looking at it 'straight on', however when viewing the display from an angle (and just a slight angle) all of the white and lighter colors in a photo change to an annoying 'yellowish' color...go figure?
Is this normal or ???
Are there any settings to adjust in the System Preferences / Display?

Wow...little did I know about the dreaded viewing angle of a TN display. In fact, I went to an Apple Store yesterday and checked out several 20" and 24" iMacs and every 20" iMac had the viewing angle problem while the 24" iMacs showed no signs of this issue.
I plan to return the 20" unit and upgrade to the 24" iMac...thank goodness for the 14 day return policy, however with the 10% restocking fee...ugh!

Reduced size PDFs are displaying strange colors when viewed on Mac in Chrome browser

I've been routinely creating PDF files with screenshots for documentation, and then using File --> Save As --> Reduced Size PDF... before I put them online. In the past few days when I do this, there's a problem with the files:
when viewed on a Mac (OS X 10.9.4) using the Safari and Firefox browsers, everything's fine. But when viewed on the same Mac using Chrome, the screenshots are pink. If I open the same reduced size file on any other browser or in Preview, it's fine. The original sized PDF is fine, even when opened with Chrome. I'm using Acrobat Pro v 10.1.10.
I've tried rebooting, dumping PRAM, etc all with no effect. I've also taken source PDF files that I had previously 'reduced file size' -- that display fine -- and re-did the procedure. The new smaller files are pink. I suspect it may be a bug that crept into a recent update? All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Make sure that you actually using Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Reader in Google Chrome. Google Chrome has a built in PDF Viewer that is now the default unless you specifically configure and enable Acrobat/Reader to be the default PDF viewer.

Pb with timeline-integrated MP3 when viewing from a browser

I have an anim called interface.swf which is loading an intro
called intro.swf.
That intro is infact a compositing anim whose timeline
wontains some MP3 sounds overlapping one another and beginning at
different times.
All is working fine when I run my interface.swf file in a
standalone flash player or directly from flash, BUT when launching
it in a web browser (Firefox or IE), one and only one MP3 sound
(each time the same sound), is beginning at the beginning of my
intro anim instead of the frame it is assigned to in my timeline.
It looks as if that very MP3 sound doesn't care about the frame at
which it begins.
It is really strange and it occurs only when viewing it in a
browser (on a server or in local).
Has such a problem already been noticed? It is very strange
Is there any explananation?

Do you have any idea what is really happening? Because I really wanted to have a loading text only before the whole site is loaded. The SIMULATED DOWNLOAD in Flash CS4 is working great but whenever copy it in my hosting server and view it in my browser the preloader is not working.

Report yields no data when viewing from InfoView

I've just installed CRXi server and I'm now trying to publish a simple Crystal report.
First of all, this report accesses a date field that's a string format yyyymmdd. I'd like the report to run for today, in the format mmddyyyy. So I created a formula to convert the date string field to the system's date. it works when I run the report in CRXi.
When I publish the report onto the server, it only prints the report header and no data.
Has anyone come across this? I can't seem to find anything on the help files. I tried different viewers such as Acrobat reader, Active X - no difference.
Any help for this newbie would be appreciated.

SQL services are running under MSSQL_MSSQLSERVER, when changing owner of the CreateCache job to NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT it works, but after SQL reboots the domain account are there again. I think it will work if a use a copy of the job and set the SQLSERVERAGENT.
I talked to some SQL guys about this and they saw that the script use the owner to execute the script.
However this is not a recommended solution. I will install SP1 very soon and see if there is any change.
By the way installations instructions for SP1 are really bad but I assume that we can use the same approach as we did when going from MBAM 1.0>2.0?

Crystal Reports prompting for creds when viewed from BO 4

The environment:
Business Objects Enterprise 4, sp2 patch 8
SAP ECC 6.0, kernel 701, sup. pkg. lvl 137
This is a new BOE 4 installation on a test system. The BOE installation has been configured to use Windows AD authentication with SSO. When I run a Crystal Report that is based on SAP ECC data, I am prompted for credentials. So I used the following document to configure BOE for SSO to DB:

This didn't fix the problem. SAP ECC reports in BOE still prompt for creds when viewed. SAP Authentication is verifiably working, but I'm not sure if SSO to DB is working. One thing I've noticed is that when I log in to BOE using SAP authentication and view the report, I'm not prompted for creds. In BOE I added my Windows AD acct as an alias in my SAP acct, but I may have either done this incorrectly, or there may be something I need to do in addition.
question 1: Is there an easy way to verify if SSO to DB is working correctly?
question 2: In CMC --> Authentication --> SAP --> Entitlement Systems --> User Name, I'm assuming that this is an SAP user name. What roles/profiles does this account need? Should it be a dialog acct?
question 3: Our ECC system is configured to use SNC. Do I need to configure SNC in BOE for SSO to DB to work?
question 4: I added my Windows AD user as an alias on my SAP user record. I'm not sure this is correct... can someone verify?
Any help or suggestions are much appreciated.

Query displays no output when run from sqlplus and from procedure its displ

When i ran the below query, it gives me "no rows selected". I made a procedure for the below query by making it a cursor. I just tried to display the total number of records in the procedure. When ran, it showed me some number. I dont understand , why when ran just as a sql query didnt showed any output and when ran as a procedure showing some output.

Actually, the problem is that table has 1769645 rows of data. I wrote a cursor as defined above in a procedure. With that where condition, it doesnt have any values and so displays no rows. Its taking 5 min to run that query and get me the output.
In the begin, I want to open that cursor using "for rec in c loop" and write one more select statement which is:

now my question is, if my cursor is not returning any rows, then the query written to get l_count will be executed or not. I am passing the cursors cust_account_id and related_cust_account_id values to this query. but that cursor is returning no data.
so what will happen to the code that i wrote. Will it hang or will it continue. Or should i write when no_data_found exception to handle when no rows are returned.
or can in include " exit when c%notfound after for loop". when we use open fetch and close, then we will write this exit when. can we write when using for rec in c loop syntax.
coz when i run that procedure, it jsut hangs like that forever. how to handle it or how to tune it.
