Over 9000 messages totalling about 2.5 GB in my ipad inbox, when in reality there are only about 120?

Why do I appear to have over 9000 messages totalling about 2.5 GB in my ipad inbox, when in reality there are only about 120? I have deleted all unnecessary mail from inbox, sent mail, etc and cannot get the number below 9000. Could it possibly be that the messages on my desk top are counted on the total in my ipad?

Go to Gmail (on the web) look in the folder named All Mail, they will be there, delete what you want.

On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the device.

On the mac, only contacts in the "iCloud" section will sync to other devices. Those in the "On my mac" section do not. Could that be your problem?
To test the icloud situation, log into icloud.com with your mac's safari and to to the contacts page. What you see there is what icloud has received from mac and iphone.

You need to create HTML signatures for use with the Apple Mail apps. You can't just throw in a logo, it has to be stored on the internet and it's location coded into your signature. You may find a service and an app that helps you do that in the iTunes App Store.

Assuming that you want help and that you aren't just copying-and-pasting that thread's title and posting a link to it, then have you tried the steps on the post that I linked to in my first reply on that thread ?
If you don't get the 'none' option when trying those instructions then you will need to enter credit card details before you will be able to use the account - when you've entered credit card details you should get the 'none' option and be able to remove your card details.

There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.

I use message and all other messages are non-sms. When I try to message these two accounts, they automatically use sms, everything I do is the same. The non-sms messages go through just fine (including pictures). The sms messages (no pictures) are always rejected; they have never gone through. They have never been able to send messages to me either (although they can send to others). I have a Verizon cellular data plan.

I have Lion on my 13" pro and have kept it up to date. Today I had a message about the need to update firmware. I pressed restart and there was language about the screen ging gray. I think it said for a few minutes. It has been 3 hrs. is this a problem?.

I got an alert to update firmware. When I click for restart a message the screen would gray and and it might ake a few minutes. That was about three hours ago and it is still gray and sitting there. Is this to be expected? What could/should I do? I am typing this on an ipad because the Macboob Pro is currently useless.

With Firmware updates, Apple will usually offer instructions to complete the update, since they require an additional step to complete. It sounds like you haven't finished the Firmware update completely.
Since it's your computer and investment, I wouldn't risk it and would visit your local Apple Store and let them solve the problem. In the meantime, read this link from Apple:

why can't i transfer all songs on my ipod to my computer and then to my new ipad? i keep getting a message saying that about half of the files couldn't be found, and only about 1/2 of the songs went to the ipad when i first synced. the files must be on the ipod, because i can play all 448 from the ipod when disconnected from the computer. and all songs show up on my devices at itunes and can be played on the computer. but only about 1/2 are going to the ipad. i am no tech genius, obviously, but could someone please help me? thanks

Apple does not support transferring files from the device to the computer if they are third party. It is great that you were able to transfer the ones you did. There is a way to do it but it sounds like you already did it because if not half of them would not come over. The files can probably not be found because they are third party and the files are not compatible with the transfer process.

I cannot make the unread message indicator go away on my 5S. My phone shows 3 unread messages when in fact there are zero unread. Help please

My 5S shows that I have three unread text messages. However, I do not. I have checked everything I know to check and cannot make the little red 3 go away. Any ideas? This is super annoying.

While the action you describe is not normal for the iPhone, is this the only time that it has occurred or has it happened again? There are the normal user trobleshooting procedures that you can follow, power off/on, reset, restore, however, if it has not happened again, it sounds like an isolated incident that has not been duplicated.
Also, do you have a passcode lock on the phone to prevent others from accessing your data?

Since i updated my iphone4 to iOS5 It says that my 16gb phone has reached capacity. There was only about 10gbs showing used before the update, now ive had to delete most of my apps,pictures and music. It still shows that it is over capacity and wont sync.

How do i fix this without deleting everything from my phone?

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

FYI: Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store > Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text

Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
