P-lease help

is there any way to send an E-mail, or text msg to a fax without pluging in or using efax. an app i can buy?? seams like it should be easy am i missing something?????

The simplest thing is to subscribe to a service that will fax an email.  Typically you add an email address in a special format like [email protected] (where phonenumber is the 10 or 11 digit phone number you're sending to like [email protected]), then just send an email to that email address.  You'll want to make sure the service supports any attachment types you need.  Typically they will support major formats like MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Acrobat PDF, and TIF.

There may also be applications which can be installed on the BlackBerry and use the actual Fax number stored in a contact which is much more manageable than having to waste one of the three email slots on a fax number!  I haven't found any! It's a shame because it would be a small, simple application (compose a fax using one of the Fax numbers saved in a contact as the recipient, then just alter the address and email it out to the service's email gateway).
