I format whole disk and reinstall OS three times, still the same.
I don't know when will it happen, could be 30min after I start windows and could be few hours later.
The problem is when it happen,
I can still hear the music,
but there are some "Bo-Bo-Bo"(I don't know how to describe) sound from speakers when I playing musics, videos or games,
sound more like distortion.
After I restart my laptop,
every things become all right, before that problem happen again.
My laptop is p505-8950 and OS is Windows 7 Unlimited 64-bit
I download drivers from Toshiba's website.
And I try to use my USB speaker(with built-in sound card),
then stop laptop's audio devices,
but the problen still the same.
I don't know why it could happen.
This problem just freak me out!
Please...help me...

I know it is hard to understand.
So I recorded it when the problem happens.

  • Serious Sound Problem!!!

I have just recently bought the MSI K8N Neo Platinum (socket 754) motherboard and have hooked up my surround sound system through the SPDIF optical connection.
The problem is that I can only get stereo sound out of the two front speakers. I havent been able to get the 5.1 sound I want.
Before you say anything, yes I have the latest drivers, yes I have played around with the windows sound controller and the MSI one, and yes the surround sound system has worked prior on my old abit NF7-S nforce 2 board.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Are you playing something that is in a surround format?  With the optical you will only get stereo sound from a stereo source.  I recommend hooking up the analog for most stuff and using optical for movies.  The only soundcard that made the optical output to all speakers was the soundstorm that was on the Nforce2.
Oh and usually you will have to set whatever app you are using for DVD to output directly to SPDIF if you want Dolby digital.

  • Is my motherboard toast?!?! serious sound problem

I have a K9N2 platinum motherboard. I play games like counter strike source, and battlefield 2 on my computer. For a long time I have been using a soundblaster x-fi sound card. for the past few months whenever I play a game, after about 15-45 minutes of playing my sound would cut out, the game would freeze/lag up momentarily, then continue with no sound. If I exited the game, 3/4's of the time I would still have sound at my desktop, and again if I restarted the game. SO this whole time I've been figuring that my soundcard was the culprit, and it was nearing its end. so recently I switched to the onboard sound of my mobo :/  which seemed to work fine until.... THE SAME THING HAPPENED! so now i'm left to assume only that something is going wrong with the motherboard to cause this. Also, a lot of the time when the sound cuts out, there is a very sharp, loud popping sound right before I lose sound.
what is a boy to do? I love this mobo, and will probably just end up dealing with it for a long time before I invest any time/money into fixing it.

    Hello labmaster,
It sounds to me like your system is capable of connecting to the internet, but that it is unable to do much beyond this. It appears that these applications that you are trying to build in LabVIEW are exposing some of the networking limitations that exist on your machine. Unfortunately I do not know what to make of the port scan that you have provided. There can be many causes of networking issues that you would want to troubleshoot with your IT department or network card manufacturer. What I can do is to provide you with a list of ports used by National Instruments software. You will want to be sure that no packets are being blocked on these ports. Also keep in mind that when using TCP or UDP communication, you can specify the ports which you are using. Also, as a starting point, you may want to disable any antivirus software or firewalls that might hinder communication. I hope that this will at least get you started in figuring out some of these networking difficulties. Thanks,
    Mike D.

  • I have sound problem in My Cq40-144TU Laptop

    Hi,
I have Cq40-144tu laptop. i am't hearing sound from internal speaker but sound is hearing from headphone. I have configured my system many time. Last got to shop and they also format it and reconfigured but still this problem is showing.
But I was hearing sound from speaker when i chat in gtalk and then i heared sound from window media player and other application also for 5 to 10 second only. every time some text is recieved i hear sound for 5 to 10 second.
please tell me what is problem in My Laptop. i have window 7 ultimate operating system.
    Please help me sir

What sound problem - no sound on anything, no sound on some apps ?
Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
And for future info typing in all capitals is considered to be SHOUTING

  • Desperately need some help!! iTunes/Quicktime/iChat/Sound problems....

So, yesterday, I was online, on google video, and when I pressed play on the video, there was no sound, but the video worked...the same was true on every video site i checked. My computer volume was at max, and I even tested the speakers to make sure they were on, and they indeed were.
I thought that was odd...but then the problems really started.....
After that, I clicked on my iChat icon. It bounced once, and did not open. The same thing happened when I clicked on iTunes. 1 bounce, and then nothing. I checked to make sure all of my iTunes mp3 files were on my computer....they indeed are all still here, bit nothing I can do opens iTunes. I've run disc utilities, and disc repair...according to that, everything is peachy-keen on my computer.....but iChat and iTunes STILL will not open, and there is still no sound on anything.
Now, i'm leaning towards the archive and install option....or even just backing up what I want to save, wiping the drive, and starting from scratch.....but i'd really like to not have that happen.
(and, as a side question, if all I want to save are images, several documents, and many mp3 files, would everything be okay if I just backed them up on an external drive, and then loaded them back on to my computer after reinstalling OS X?)
Sorry about the length of this, but I am at my wit's end, and I have no idea what to do.

by third-party, do you mean things I installed that are not manufactured by mac? If that is the case, I have microsoft office, Smart Music, Flip4mac, and Senuti.
I got rid of Flip4Mac to see if that affected my sound problems, but it did not. So, as of now, my problem remains the same...

  • Serious Sound Issues... 10 bucks to the person who find a solout

    Hi guys.
Im beside myself here, i've missed my major lan event because of this problem. I really dont know how to resolve it.
Any help would be appreciated. I know this might be lengthy, but i really dont know what to do.
    Ok.
My motherboard went bust before xmas. Got a new mobo fitted just before xmas because of that... along with a new PSU.
Sound problems occured. I plugged in my headphones as normal to the onboard sound and i could hear fuzzing on the line, just on desktop etc. It would buzz in my headphones when i drag the mouse across the screen, and it would also buzz if i pressed the start menu. And REALLY weird, i would hear the cd dri've turning, through my headphones.
Ingame! Not only would i get the general fuzz... but also something thta my friend described as clipping occured.
For example, on WoW. The music, ambience, sound effects, EVERYTHING stutters... to the point where you cant listen to it. The sound is also delayed, e.g. i click a button, and the sound will come later, echoing in all muffled.
so i thought, ok ill put a sound card in, i ordered the sound card, Sound Blaster se or something.
Install drivers, perfectly.. etc.. put it in a non shared pci. disable onboard on bios and plug in phones into the sound cards port. Same problems, just less fuzz on the desktop etc. But still a fuzz. However the jittering still occurs ingame.
I try other things like movies, the stutterring still occurs in mpgs etc
Ive tried fiddlin wit acceleration, tried different headphones. Put a new cpu in, put new ram in, updated ALL drivers. Everything is done, and it still has this problem.
Could it be the PSU? The motherboard?
I really dont know what to do, please ask any questions. I am completly beside myself.
    I appreciate ANY help avalialble.
    Kind Regards and many thanks.

    Your video card ?
IT looks as if you changed everything but that where as that should have been the first thing you changed.
I don't want ten bucks if I am right but it would be a fair bet that this stuttering is due to your video card being affected by your psu blowing up.
Video cards especially the ones with separate power supply plugs are very vulnerable to faulty PSU's they are not shielded by a whole lot of circuitry before they get they're power (motherboard is in the way) fed directly from the psu and get a direct dose of any faulty current.Message Edited by jmperoo on 0-28-200706:43 AM

i have a sound problem when i install windows 7 32 bit on my imac

Did you download and install the Windows Support software? First step in Bootcamp Assistant is to download the support software. Then did you install the support software from within Windows?
Read the Bootcamp Install instructions. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf

  • Sound problems on ProBook 6550b, running on Win 7 Pro x32bit..

I have been getting very similar sound problems on my notebook as posted by most: internal speakers work on original Audio HD drivers, but there is no sound when I connect external speakers or headphones. I up-graded the audio drivers to IDT HD Audio and I get sound coming from external speakers or headphones, but nothing from internal speakers.
I have tried everything from reporting the problem on public forums, live help, and done this or that, but nothing changes. It's so very clear to me that it has to do with audio drivers, which don't seem to work appropriately to cover all aspects of sound output.
I also, often, get this loud, weird, irritating noise and a frozen PC when I am playing music with the notebook, while on the internet. The best I do is not to do both at the same time. I have seen similar problems on blogs, but tangible solutions are NOT offered!!!! Please help...

Audio Switching coudl be due to several reason. if you have tried latest audio drivers and latest Video drivers from hp.com, i suggest you to get audio board replaced for your computer.
    Hope it helps.

  • Serious performance problems on iWeb site

Can anyone help me find the problem with peterlance.com? It looks like author Peter Lance uses iWeb to update his web site. He redesigned it recently (and did not use iWeb for the old design). Anyway, it has serious performance problems on Internet Explorer, which I was hoping you guys could help pinpoint? Is there something simple I can tell him to try to fix the problem? He is launching a new book on Tuesday so he will be getting a lot of traffic, but for now the response time is not very good. Any suggestions?
In particular, each new page seems to hang for about ten seconds and freeze using Internet Explorer 6. Any fixes?
I mean, fixes other than: "Don't use Internet Explorer!"
    http://www.peterlance.com/Peter%20Lance/Home/Home.html
    name="Generator" content="iWeb 1.1.2"

    Welcome to the discussions, TopDog08.
There are several plain .jpg's and that's good, but you need to convert every .png on the page (or as many .png's as you can) to a .jpg. For example,
    http://www.peterlance.com/Peter%20Lance/Home/Homefiles/shapeimage46.png
Convert that to a jpg, then replace the graphic and text on the iWeb page with this converted jpg (some have has success using Downsize http://www.stuntsoftware.com/Downsize/)
The ones you won't be able to do anything about are the ones that are a part of the blog, but that will be only 5 images instead of the many you have now.
    This image
    http://www.peterlance.com/Peter%20Lance/Home/Homefiles/shapeimage50.png
Is covering part of your menu which is why it appears that only the top half is sensitive to rolling over. You'll have to adjust your layout to account for this.
Another area to look at, there are white boxed png's surrounding the amazon book covers at the top.
    http://www.peterlance.com/Peter%20Lance/Home/Homefiles/imageEffectsAboveAli%20Mug%20TPI%20jpg.png
Another set of .png's you'll have to get rid of. How did those get put on the page?
What you see happening with IE is a java script running to fix IE's problem with png's. The fewer .png's you have, the less of a problem with IE you have.

  • Serious performance problems after updating from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7

I've got a Macbook Pro C2D 15" (late 2006). After updating the system from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7 and quicktime to 7.6.2, I experience serious performance problems which I have never seen before:
-From time to time, kernel_task has peaks in activity monitor (consumes a lot of CPU). In that moment, the mouse hangs for a short moment and audio playback is distorted/has drop outs.
-Recording audio consumes a lot of CPU (independent of the audio application).
-Video playback consumes a lot of CPU, regardless if I use VLC or the quicktime player.
Any idea what could be done? Thanks in advance.

After a few days of using CoolBook I report that my 1st generation MacBook Air is now reliable and never overheating, regardless of environment conditions.
I must point out that I do believe that it really is something new in 10.5.7 that is causing this problem as my environmental conditions have not changed and even Summer in Dublin still sees temperatures no more than 72F/22C. I am now in Madrid, where the environment is quite different, and I am still having no problem with kernel_task spinning.
I plan on reporting my problem to Apple anyway and being aggressive about the issue as MacLovinRanga did in this thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9647353#9647353). Perhaps many/all of those of us having this problem will obtain new MacBook Airs.

  • Any resolution to the sound problem?

I have been having the same sound problem with my Mid 2010 Mac Pro tower ever since I got it.  I have been in touch with Apple and have been told that they are familiar with the problem, but that they are still working on a fix.  The problem is that I have external speakers, and every time I shut down and then start up again, I have to go to preferences and physically change the sound output to go to the speakers.  I have also been tole that the Mac is supposed to sense the external speakers and go directly to them.
Is there anybody else out there with this problem, and has been able to resolve it?
    Thank you.

I have a 2010 Mac Pro and use the stereo line out jack in the back of my machine for my speakers with no problem.  I don't recall any problems setting it up.  But check the Audio MIDI Setup (in your utilities folder) to see if you can set it from there (should be able to).  Not sure why the preference wouldn't stick.  And I don't believe there is automatic detection of an attached sound output device where the sound preference switches to that (unless maybe the front jack which I never use).

  • Sound Problems on iPad: how to fix, easy [video]

    Hi dear iPad user,
Most people will, eventually, have sound problems: the cause can be complex as a 'miss-behaved' app that messes the sound engine or as simple as the iPad being forgotten on Mute/Volume Down.
I used to help family and friends to fix their iPads' sound problems by sending them 'text' instruction steps... lots of times they ended up calling me on the phone...
    So I made a video (short: 1m40s):
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjBP-Ncj_fE
    It shows:
how to unmute the sound (even if the side-switch locks the rotation of the screen)
    how to put volume up
how to close all the apps (in the case there is an App messing with the sound system)
how to reboot the iPad (ultimatelly fixes hard cases of messed sound system)
What it won't fix: if you have a hardware problem...
If you do all the steps and you get NO SOUND AT ALL, please, try also checking if you car listen sounds using a HEADPHONE (you know are working conditions). If you can listen to sounds in the headphone but no sound at all in the iPad's built in speaker, well, there might be a hardware problem and you should look for help on an Apple Retail Store or other official technical support available at your location.
    Hope this helps!
    Everson.

UPDATE: fixing iPad Sound after iOS 7
    http://youtu.be/SDf1LDcE95Q
    (1min 36sec)
    It covers the basics:
    checking side-switch / mute / "Control Center"
    volume all up
    ...and also the worst cases:
closing all apps (for rare cases when a single app might render the sound system instable)
    rebooting the iPad
So, don't get desparete: try the things in the video.
There are people who reported having forgotten an audio-bluetooth connection activated with a turned-off sound-system or speakers... or forgot Air-Play turned on... so be sure you disengage bluetooth and/or airplay.
On the 'hardware side', dirty dock connector (30 pin) can make the iPad 'think' it is connected to external audio - if so, cleaning it with a dry toothbrush can fix. Also, moisture in the headphones connector can make the iPad switch to 'headphones' even without headphones connected, making it silent: check if you can hear things with headphones plugged in - if so, try gently inserting and removing headphones a few times and check if you get sound back to iPad's speakers alone.
Good luck to everybody! Audio problems are quite common - fontunately they are easy to fix.
