Pages go black

So I have repeatedly cut and pasted text from one page on my
website to another over the past few months once that information
has become outdated. Last night I ran into a problem when doing the
same process I have done for months. Now, every time I paste
something onto this particular webpage, it turns to black in
certain portions making it unreadable. However, if I upload it to
my server and view it on the web everything looks normal.
What is this black out and how can I fix it?

You have some invalid embedded CSS that might be causing it.
For
instance:
#Layer1 {
position:absolute;
left:0px;
top:0;
width:800;
height:80;
z-index:1;
background-color: #000000;
Only the 0 can be used without a unit. You need to put a one
(px,em,pt...) after 800 and 80 in the above example. It
should look
more like:
#Layer1 {
position:absolute;
left:0px;
top:0;
width:800px;
height:80px;
z-index:1;
background-color: #000000;
Likewise for layers 2, 3, and 4.

  • How to convert indivudual pages to black

    Hi all,
    the PDF document I'm to process contains pages where color isn't needed. I would like to convert those pages to black only, but the lame Acrobat conversion dialog only takes a single range of pages as input, whereas I would like to be more specific, kind of like what you can do in the print or PDF export dialog in InDesign, for instance: "1-14, 21-54, 57, 103, 151-168". Opening the dialog over and over to convert the individual chunks of the book would take Eternity.
    How do I do that? Thanks

    You can use Print Production -> Convert Colors to convert single pages, a range of pages or  the entire document to greyscale.

  • PDF documents show black pages or black images

    Why do some PDF documents show black pages or black images when opened in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?

    On my regular tablet I have 9.4.5 and have not had problems as you describe. I am sorry that I can not play with that version this week as I do not have that machine available. For others that might be able to check the problem out, it might be useful if you post a sample page of your PDF for others to look at. Just enough that demonstrates the point. If you cannot do it with a page from the document you have, if it would be possible to post something similar to get at the point. If you are successful in creating a problem page, then it might be easier to figure out the problem.

    Hi Nageswara,
    Try calling fm
      WFMC_PREPARE_SMART_FORM which sets your print parameters before calling your Adobe/smartform.
    This returns a structure itcpo which contains a field TDPAGESLCT (pages selected for printing).
    This FM has been used in some std. sap programs so if you see  the where used list of it you can get an idea of how to call it.
    Regards,
    Neil.

  • How do I make the Black in Pages True Black? I make Newspaper ads and they are starting to look anemic.

    Sorry Eric but that is the wrong specification and will produce a muddy brownish grey with possible registration problems particularly in small type as well as being wasteful on ink.

    Open the Color Picker > click on the color slider tab > click on the color mode patch > choose Black & White > Brightness: 0% (black patch) > drag down to recognisable swatch below
    To label it > click on the color sets tab (3rd tab) > click on the gear > New > Rename the set "DrD's > drag down the swatch from the bar above > Label that 100k > click on any stray swatches and rempve by clicking on the - button below
    These swatches are System wide and available to any application that accesses the Color Picker. Unfortunately Apple has not seen fit to make them easily transferrable or saveable and importable.
    Make the 100k swatch part of your Styles in the Styles Drawer, particularly the text to ensure it is used, you can't spot it on screen and there is no feedback anywhere that it is selected.

    Try opening it with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
    Note: Appleworks is the Apple office like application that stopped being able to run with Mac OS X 10.6.8.  If you have a question particular to 10.9, I would ask in the 10.9 (OS X Mavericks) forum.

  • Safari 5.1.5 shows .pdf web pages as black. The same thing happens with Firefox. Does this have something to do with an AdobePDF plug-in?

    Safari 5.1.5 shows .pdf web pages as black. The same thing happens with Firefox, at least with the few pages I've checked. Does this have something to do with an AdobePDF plug-in? I recently had to restore my system from Time Machine backup.

    The following appears to have I solved my problem with Safari 5.1.5, 5.1.6 and 5.1.7. I also have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 installed.
    Follow mbuffy's post dated May 10, 2012 directly above, and
    Do NOT allow Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to perform the "repair" the missing Adobe PDFViewer Plug-in when the window pops up and offers to repair Adobe PDFViewer Safari Plug-in. If Adobe does the "repair," then I can not view .pdf web pages in Safari or Firefox.
    FYI, cmmartin0275 posted the following on Sep 8, 2011 in a discussion of "Missing PDF Pluggin" at https://discussions.apple.com/message/16119130#16119130:
    "Just FYI to anyone with this problem...this is straight from Adobe's website.
    "Adobe Reader plug-in and Acrobat plug-in are not compatible with the Safari 5.1 browser, which will ship with Mac OS X 10.7 and for 10.6 in July. Adobe Reader and Acrobat will continue to work as standalone applications on Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.6, and will render PDF documents outside of the browser. In addition, Safari 5.1 renders PDF documents natively. However, the Adobe Reader and Acrobat plug-ins will not function as expected in LiveCycle and Acrobat workflows that require either plug-in to render PDF documents in Safari 5.1."
    They also go on to say they hope to have a solution or work around before the end of 2011..."
    Thanks for the help.

  • HP5510 prints less than 1/2 page in black

    About 1/2 way down the page, the black ink seems to runout. It continues in blue or red, but then runs out
    entirely.  It is acting the way I would expect it to act if the cartridge vent was clogged, but they look clean.
    I have tried the "Clean Printhead" option from the panel, and it usually prints the test page OK. But then when I try to print a page of text I get the bad results.
    The cartridges were bought from HP online Sept 29, 2014. They were just opened a couple of days ago
    I also tried a 30 seconf hard reset.
    For what it is worth, I also bought the 3 color cartridges at the same time, but have not yet installed them.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    OK, I THINK I have fixed the problem. I cut away 1/2 of the label covering the vent squiggles, and noticed there was a blockage from the adhesive used to hold the label. You can see it on the top of the second  wiggle from the left.
    After removing the part of the label as shown above, I was able to print an entire page of text which previously I was unable to. I hope this helps some other user with this problem.

  • Scrolling with mouse on pages create black and white lines,

    When scrolling with mouse, periodically the whole screen turns into black and white lines. Sometimes whole page, sometimes just pictures/side ads. If you continue to scroll it does go away but then you need to scroll back to where the lines started, its hard to explain, i have taken 1 photo of the problem but will take more photos as i can, i really enjoy how Firefox runs on my computer, it has always been the best browser for my needs. I did recently buy a new desktop, but it did it then also, so i removed it and tried running explorer and Google and i just don't like them, so i am hoping we can get this fixed.

    Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    If there is a problem with scrolling on web pages then try to disable smooth scrolling.

  • How do i get Firefox to print web pages in black and white only (colors are interpreted in grayscale and some are too light to be read)?

    i have a black and white laser printer. Firefox prints web pages by sending color images to my printer. The printer uses greyscale to interpret the colors. i really want Firefox to send black and white images to my printer, because with greyscale some of the colors are translated to print that is too light to be seen clearly.
    Can this be done?
    Thanks,
    Chazbo

    i just tried disabling adblock and checking if i had any no script or noscript sort of addon. i do not have a script killer. disabling adblock did not solve the issue.

  • Page window blacks out for a moment when clicking on links?

    So I was working on a layout/theme for my tumblr, changing css and stuff around, when about an hour ago, whenever I clicked on a link on the site, the window would go black for a second. The page would then load normally.
    This isn't happening in Safari, another browser I use frequently, but I'd really like to know what's going on.
    I didn't adjust much in terms of coding, just tables and stuff, so the coding shouldn't be an issue.

    First, even if Google could manage to infect your machine with malware of some kind, why do you think they would care one bit about your letter? I'm sure they get thousands of angry letters per day. I doubt they even read them all.
    As for the issue, that's probably actually caused by Glims. You say you have installed it to keep ads to a minimum, but the latest version of Glims includes its own ads by default, and has been known to malfunction exactly as you describe. I would recommend removing it. Use the Glims uninstaller.

  • Elements 9 start up page in black/grey fonts

    Does anyone know where one can download the classic work page with white background with classic toolbars rather than black ground/ grey fonts which are very hard( for me) to see.
    There should be a choice for customers - this aspect is becoming a problem in general with upgrades not giving alternatives to stay with past original settings. It's great to have new tools to work with but this is not the issue. It's critical to be able to see ones workpages.
    Thanks for any assistance or directiion

    Unfortunately you can't change this. It's just how it is, despite many years of complaints. Obviously adobe just doesn't care about this problem.

  • Mail page now black background with white print and I cannot fix.

    Today when I signed on, my mail page is now black background with white letters and I cannot figure out how to change it back to what was there before -- black on white -- and cannot find anything in help on this problem.

    Some web pages give the user the option on page styles. For the rest of
    them,<BR><BR>
    Go to the
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ Mozilla Add-ons Web Page]'''''
    (There’s a lot of good stuff here)
    and check out
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/?src=external-Add-ons_Manager_Context_Menu-extension NoSquint]'''''.
    This add-on can override web page setting to give you control.

  • Itunes Videos Home Page completly black

    Hello,
    I'm currently using Itunes 6.0.3 for Windows on two different computers (WinXP) and on both I've got the same issue: the 'Videos' home page does not show anything. Nothing, it's just a big black square.
    Is anyone else experiencing the same?
      Windows XP

    Thank you very much, katrina! If I'm not wrong, on a previous version of Itunes the 'Videos' link on the sidebar would show the Videos Home Page, not your personal collection of videos. Same thing for the 'Podcast' link. It used to show a podcast home page with a podcast search, correct? Now instead it shows the podcasts you subscribed for but at least at the bottom of the page you have a link to go to the podcast directories.
