Pages in the NY Times won't Open

Even the page that allows me to log in to the site doesn't open and I get an error message: Error unknown 303. I am requested to send this message to Apple which I have done to no effect. I don't know if it would fail other pages as well but if it doesn't open something as basic as the Times pages Safari is useless to me. Anybody have a solution to this strange situation?

NYT works fine for me. This sounds like it's a system problem, so perhaps you should check this out and run it to see if it fixes your problem, because it's not Safari.

Flattening and merging are very similar. The main difference is merging keeps the transparent areas, whereas flattening removes all transparent areas by giving it a white background. A good example of flattening is a jpg image.
Since you have closed the file by closing photoshop, that means that the history is now gone, no way of undoing.
So that leaves you with two choices.
You can either recreate the whole document.
Or you can make selections of areas you are keeping and moving them one at a time to new layers. Keep each object on a separate layer. Then redo the area behind those objects.

I have just upgraded to OSX mavericks and now scanner isn't working - every time I try and open the application it won't open and says that it has had to quit unexpectedly. Any ideas what i can do?

my operating system is OS X Lion 10.7.5

What I mean by 'cycles through documents" is that when I attempt to either open a document or just open the application - it looks like the application begins to start - I see the first page of a bunch of documents very quickly going from left to right on my screen but then I see a bar in the middle of the screen (I'm not sure what its called but its the one that tells you to wait while the computer does something) - and then it just stays there, never opening the documents.
My version of pages has always had the "cycling" effect at the beginning but it always ended quickly and I could begin working on my documents - now.... I can't begin working on anything and the only option I have is to force quit.

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Sort of. As part of the next update we'll make Muse ignore the 125% scale setting. This will make it easier for you to use that setting with all your other applications, but even when your Display is set to scale 125% the Muse UI will be presented at 100%. Unfortunately the current transition architecture of Muse (part native 64-bit app and part Adobe AIR app internally) combined with how Windows 8 and 8.1 achieve 125% scaling means it will be quite some time before Muse will be able to correctly support 125% Display scaling. I misunderstood the settings. A few days ago I had tried to set it to open a specific page upon launch, and set "New windows open with: Bookmarks" instead of ":Homepage"

After opening an email of photos from my mom, the email app won't open. I've rebooted the iPad, I've closed the app and reopeneded it. When I open it I get the basic frame (reply button, delete, etc) but none of my accts show up.

When I first opened the email, it took forever to open. Then the pics didn't show up as pics, but as a ton of some kind of code. Since then, the app will open with just the frame, no info in the frame, no email accts or anything. Then it closes automatically after a few seconds.
I've closed the app and reopened it, rebooted the iPad, and gone online and deleted the email itself. But the app still won't open. Help, please!!

Thank you. I tried the soft reboot again, and the home button has been working fine this whole time. I have tried deleting the email acct from the settings and the mail app still opens only empty frames. I have a screen shot of it, but don't know how to post it here to be able to show what exactly is happening.
The mail app will open. I can see the area that usually shows the messages themselves. I can also see the area that usually displays all the accts. Both these areas are completely blank. The search bar is showing on the left hand side, and up on the top right, the download button, reply, delete and compose buttons are showing. At the very bottom left the refresh button is showing. The app sits like that for about 20 seconds and then automatically closes. None of the buttons are responsive. I cannot see any of the email accounts I have in the app (3, usually but 2 at the moment since deleting the acct that seemed to have caused this problem).
I have force-stopped the app, shut down and restarted the iPad, and rebooted the iPad. None of these have helped.

There are 3 things you can try:
1. Fully close you mail app. From your home screen, press your home button twice to bring up your most recently used apps (task bar). With your finger, hold it on any of those apps until they all start to jiggle. You'll see a minus sign sign on the upper left side of each app. Touch the on the Mail icon. Touch your home button once more to stop the apps from jiggling and then again to return to your home screen.
2. If that doesn't work, reboot your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (hold past the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.
3. If that doesn't work, the last resort might be to delete this mailbox from Settings > Mail COntacts Calendars, then re-install the mailbox.

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

Can you see Reader 9 inside Applications folder? If yes, then launch Reader and then try to open any pdf via File->Open or drag drop on Reader icon in the doc.
In case you dont find Reader 9 in your Applications folder then you can download and install the latest Reader from the following link: http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/

I had the same thing yesterday. After google gave me nothing and after I was sure my phone had enough charge to restart, I did a reset on my phone...
Holding down the Power button, volume button and selector button on the front - for about 30 secs (or untill I knew the beeping had stopped).
I cant remember if I then restarted it or it it restarted itself, but now its back to normal! No memory loss from the phone either.
Freeked me out as its a new iphone 4s but glad to have it back! Without having to take it to get fixed by a pro.
