PALM DESKTOP SOFTWARE DOES NOT INSTALL

I had installed palm desktop software for mac on my computer & it was working fine.I downloaded the software update & tried to install it but it is not installing & it gives a error message.I tried telling about this problem to palm support & they told me to uninstall everyfile related to palm desktop & try re-installing the package but still the error message pops up during installation. I even tried uninstalling isync which palm support advised me to do but still the error remains please help. The error message is as follows:
application launch failure
the application "transport monitor" could not be launched because of a shared library error:
"h<TransportMonitor><TransportMonitor><Hotsynclib.PPC><_ct_16CTransportRel
MacFP18opaquetransportRefUc>"
when I try to force quit the installation I can see configlaunchservices( not responding) & the launcher.I hope this much information is enough for you guys to pin point the problem.
Please help

I have a problem with my Palm IIIxe syncronization via Keyspan's serial adapter to USB. Prior to installation of 10.4.7 the whole kludge worked (ah, the beauty of Mac hardware & software) and the my old PowerMac G4 connected fine. Now, it fails. The hardware connection is good, as pushing the 'Hotsync' button on my Palm's cradle actives the HotSync Manager 3.1 & a screen pops up informing me of the start. Unfortunately, it does not progress from there & the Palm times out saying there was a failure to communicate.

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Are you trying to install from the CD that came with the device? That really is a PC problem.
I would recommend downloading the Desktop Manager file and installing from the download.
    Get DM version 4.7

  • Desktop software does not recognize phone

I have downloaded the latest desktop software, connected my Torch 9800 and successfully synced calendar, contacts etc. with Outlook.  When I connect the phone after that, the software does not recognize the phone and will progress to the sync function. • Desktop Software does not start - really not at all

    Hi everybody,
I hope this is not a common problem...
I installed the latest version of DM (710_b033_multilanguage) successfully on my PC.
Win7 (64bit), 8GB Ram, plenty of Diskspace and sufficient Video HW
As mentioned the installation was successfully.
When I start immediately a windows error message pops up, telling me the the Blackberry Desktop Manager does not work anymore (translated from the original German popup) and that Windows is looking for a solution. Sure enough Windows does not find anything and the window disappears without further notification.
    I tried
    - reinatalling
    - repairing
    - installing on SSD as well as on standard HDD
    - searching the blog on "not start"
    - cussing
    - and now posting
    Can anybody help - please?
    Cheers

    Thanks :-)
but unfortunately it did not work - still the same error:

  • Desktop Software does not detack BB 6 System Software and Language

    Hi,
I wanted to install other languages back to my phone (currently only English).  However,  my Desktop Software 6.1.0.36 installed in Vista does not detect and display BB 6.0.0 system software, and so is language option.  BI can see other installed software, even the application installed a day ago, but just cannot see the OS and language.
I tried installed the Desktop Software to other PC, but they were not detected and displayed either.  I checked with my other friends, they are able to see the System OS and Language.  What can i do ? Anybody encounter the same problem ?
    Thanks.

Kindly look for the device requirement online and see if your pc met all the needed requirements.

  • Software does not install properly

I have installed and uninstalled 3 or 4 times. Booted and rebooted several times. The installer places a shortcut for some program on my desktop. Nothing happens when I click on that shortcut. The printer prints and scan to computer works. What  program does the shortcut point to and how do I get it to work/ or do I even need it?
BTW the shortcut in the Start menu that points to the same program also does not work.

  • .Desktop Software does not connect to Blackberry Pearl 8130

On Monday, 12/17/12, I accepted an update of Blackberry Desktop Software to 7.1.0.37 (Bundle39). Since then my computer is unable to connect to my Blackbeery Pearl 8130 through the destop software. The computer sees the Blackberry fine, so there is not a problem with the USB cable or connection. It is the Blackberry software that does not work. How do I revert to the previous version of Blackberry Desktop Software (which did work just fine)?

Forget it. I found an old download file on my computer and installed the software and now it works.

  • Desktop Software does not recognize Vista Desktop Software

My PC is running Windows Vista Home Premium. Blackberry is a Curve 8900 running OS 5.0.0.900. Desktop Software is v. 6.0.2.44 bundle 45. I recently wiped my PC and reinstalled everything, so this is a fresh install of Desktop Software. I use the Windows Vista native calendar, and am unable to get DS to recognize it. When I click on the organizer button (Select Organizer Data to Synchronize), the Calendar entry says "Not Installed". When I click "Configure Settings", I can choose Windows Vista Native Application as an option for the calendar, but on closing that window, the Calendar entry says "Not Installed" again. I know that I can sync my 8900 with the Vista calendar, as I was able to do it in the past. Not sure why it's not working now. Anyone have any ideas?

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software does not recognize my device

My problem is that when I plug my phone into my desktop computer by USB it will charge, but when I go to do anything to by means of BlackBerry Desktop Software the program does not recognize that my device is plugged in. This has been going on for months now that it will not sync, I just haven't desperately needed to sync my phone until now. I have tried pulling the battery and pulling the sim card. I have also tried other USB cords.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please review the System Requirements for the RIM Desktop Software:
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop/desktop-pc/system-requirements.html
As you see, with XP, SP3 has been required for quite some time...so none of the more recent Desktop Software versions will work for you. But, those System Requirements pages are kind of messed up right now (three tabs claiming to be for "6.0.1", but with different information on each).
If you cannot obtain SP3, then you will need to fall back to older and older versions of the Desktop Software until you find one that works under SP2. Old versions can be found here:
