Pantech Marauder - Problems After 4.1.2 Update - Please Help!

My Pantech Maruder has been working great until Verizon pushed out the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.
The problems I am having now, is that whenever I receive a text message, the alert sound no longer works. I have applied all the settings, tried new ring tones, etc,
The default browser is a mess. When I load Google News, it is no longer in mobile view, and I can not seem to fix it. Also, the back button does not work. It always takes you back to the Google home page.
These are just a few. Most of the time I have to turn the phone off more often that I did before the update, to get most of my apps to work.
Is there a way to go back to the previous version?

I don't think you can revert to the previous version.   You said you turn the phone off and it gets better, briefly.  Have you tried a system cache clear?  This does work to clear some glitchy behavior on my Droid 4 running JB 4.1.2.
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously until you see the Boot Mode Selection Menu
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously to go into system recovery
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select
