param name='progressbar' value='true' is not working, shows as empty
Hello everyone,
I have a very odd problem with the above tag within an applet. I am running the same applet, using the same JVM version and same browser version, but on different LANs.
On one system, the progress bar will correctly update as the Jar file is being downloaded. On the other system the progress bar will just remain empty until the Jar file has been downloaded, and then it will show as full.
I have searched google, java.sun.com, the forums, and the bug parade. I haven't found anything to describe this situation. Does anyone know why the progress bar would just stay empty like this? Could firewalls, etc, have anything to do with it?

The same thing has been observed on both JVM 1.4.0_00 and 1.4.2_02. It works on one lan and doesn't on the other.
The only difference is the machine. One is a sun blade and the other is a sun utlra. They are also on different lans, so different firewalls, etc. But I wouldn't think these should pose a problem.
Other than that, all things are equal. I tested using the same browser version, netscape 6.2.2 and netscape 7.0. The same is OS, solaris 8. The same jvm, both 1.4.0 and 1.4.2.

Applet/object param name="legacy_lifecycle" value="true"/ documentation?
I've recently stumbled across this applet/object parameter as a solution to a problem. However I can't find the official documentation of it anywhere, and believe me I've looked. I did find a reference to it in some Oracle product documentation but nowhere in the Java Plugin or Deployment documents. Has anybody spotted it anywhere? Urban myth? Legend? It certainly seems to work.

When the user press the button Calculate Tax and click on Tax details then this should be updated automatically. But it does not work it is empty and the user has to update manually.
All setup looks fine.

That is not the same thing as the iPad Auto Lock setting which allows you to set an allotted time before the iPad goes to sleep.
You can try resetting all settings to see if the Auto Lock feature retinrs to the iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again. -

Have you tried closing the Camera app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

I've closed the app and re-booted the phone several times but it did not resolve the issue.
Upgrading to iOS 8.0.2 did not resolve it either.
Erasing the iPhone and restoring from a backup did not resolve it.
I'm not sure what else to do. -

Which has no open and closing brackets for the while loop, then at the end of the script you have

That else has no opening If statement.....I would fix these issues first, straighten your code out a bit and see if it works then, as the no opening and closing brackets on the While loop and the extra else statement, may be giving you some issues.

Object is to sync address and calendar between laptop with Max OS 10.4.11 and iPhone. Upgrade of our 10.4.11 laptop to 10.5 is accomplished and we now need to upgrade Quicktime and iTunes; however, the user name and password for the laptop is now not working after the upgrade to 10.5., though it was working prior to the upgrade, for file sharing.
@ BDAqua > I tried your suggestion but no luck. holding opt+command just gave me a blue screen and it rebotted, pushing the disk out of the drive. Yes, the macbook has 1 gb of ram. And yes previously i've been told by Apple that I needed the Box Set (not the family pack. i am using the family pack for OS Snow Leopard) to upgrade my 10.4.11 mac - they never mentioned adding ram but i figured that out on my own and an apple specialist recommended it when i purchased Snow Leopard and confirmed that I coul duse the Snow Leopard to upgarde from Tiger (10.4.11). I've also read extensively (as i said above) that it isn't necessary (always) to buy the box set. Several 10.4.11 users report having upgraded using the Snow Leopard upgrade disk only (not the Box Set) without trouble on intel macs (also see the apple link i posted). So i'm just ondering how they did it and i cannot.

Capturing form values with javascript (not working in Safari!)

I'm working on a site and I need to be able to take the values of one form (that the user has entered) and use them to populate a second form (more details) in the appropriate input boxes. This works on all browser except Safari. It seems to me a javascript problem (as getElementById does not work properly) but I'm not entirely sure. The code I use to grab the form elements is as follows:

Please note, I am not refreshing - I am using Ajax to change the form so new content simply replaces an existing content, not transfering to another page. I use Sessions so it shouldn't forget the values.
Can anyone help? It's quite an important thing as I need to migrate hidden form inputs too which are needed for this particular request system.

MichaelI'm seeing this same issue in Mavericks, 10.9.2. Althought JavaScript is enabled in Safari, it just doesn't work, for any pages.
I've tried different user accounts, including a new account, on the same machine, but they all do the same thing, so it's a machine-wide issue.
I have plenty of other Mavericks machines, including my own, where it is working just fine, however, with the same settings. -
I tried several times since I bought my macbook pro to log into my idisk. My password for my user name does not work. I am clueless about what to do next.
You need to turn the phone off and leave it in dry rice for 3-5 days. Then, plug it in and charge it for about 15 minutes and then try to turn it on. If it doesn't work at that point, it will be time to get a new phone.

I can not get value mapping in XI 3.0 to work. Has anyone experience with this, the documentation is soo bad. This is what I have done:
In the Graphical mapper I used the object "Value mapping" and filled in the following parameters:
Value mapping context: http://sap.com/xi/XI
Source
Agency: System1
Schema: UnitSystem1
Target
Agency: System2
Schema: UnitSystem2
In the directory I created an Value mapping table with the same paremeters as above and filled in the table.
When I test the complete flow, the value mapping is not used. The unchanged values are just copied over to the target field.
Any help is appreciated.

In test Mode you can't test the value mapping, because the value mapping table is part of the Directory. Instead of the Value Mapping I tried "Fixed Values" and that works, but you can not re-used it.

MDIS Unmapped Values ADD is not Working Throws errors
Hi Experts,
I have a Qualified table where the Non qualifier is a Lietaral Date field.
Qualified Update -> Update
New links -> Create
Existing Links -> All mapped Fields
MDIS unmapped values -> ADD
All is working well,When the Incoming file has exactly the same NOn qualifier as in Data manager, But when the incoming file has some New non-qualifers then it fails with a value Exception...

Why is this behaviour..Hi,
In the Import map as the Non qualifier is the literal date field and in DM i can see they are stored in MM/DD/YYYY format.
The incoming value from the File is also the same format but the Config parameters date format in Import map is different, is this the problem for not adding New dates even though the MDIS unmapped fields are set to ADD..
Also, are Config parameters Specific to Map or Repository Or server!!
i.e if i change a config parameter and save the map.
will the config parameters in all import maps be changed automatically??

Result Type Condition for Multi value Manage Property not working

I have created one template & I wanted to show this template on particular condition. So I created the result type. The Managed property (MP) that I used, I have verified its attributes all attributes are selected and its type is Multi value. I am trying
to apply the "Show fewer conditions" and some how the value not matched.
I have checked MP ; it has all the values but some how the template not called. When I removed this condition it working and when choose other MP other then Multi valued. It is working as expected.
Please let me know if i miss something here.
PS: I have checked each option from the Query drop down like "Equals any of" and "Contains any of" not working in case of multi value attribute. Please help.
