Part of script missing

hi,
We are working on a script, and the last part of the script just went missing over night.
also that pointed to the lack of a revisions option ( see google wave, you can drag a slider back and forward and see the progression of the wave). Would be very handy to have such an option. Or maybe if there is a revisions options, make it a bit more obvious because i can't seem to find it.
Otherwise great product so far!

   I would like to enlist a few important things, in case you missed any:
Firstly, only owner (author) of the document can access and edit the document in AIR offline mode.
When the user goes offline he she can choose to "Lock/ Don't lock" the documents.
             1. If the author selects to "Lock" all the documents, the co-users of the shared documents cannot edit the document while the author is offline.
             2. If the author selects "not to lock" the documents, the co-users can edit the document while the author is offline.
          Now, in case the co-author also edits the document while author has edited it in offline mode, this would lead to the following scenario:
Now, when the author goes online, "Conflict resolution" dialog comes up which gives him a choice to choose among the two versions available - "Online" (because the co-author had edited) or "Offline" (because the author had edited in offline mode)
   * If the user selects the "Online" version - the copy of the co-author that was available online is updated for both the users and the changes made in offline are discarded/ overwritten.
   * If the user selects the "Offline" version - the copy of the author, that was available offline is updated for both the users and the changes made in online mode by co-author are discarded/ overwritten.
Please note: If changes are only made by one, then simply the latest changes are updated for both the users when the owner goes online, i.e. if only co-author had made changes and author made no changes in offline mode then when he goes online, the latest updated document is updated for both the users.
Also, if co-author has made no changes, while author was editing the document offline, now when the author goes online, the changes made by him in offline mode are updated for both the users.
The important point is, the changes made in offline mode will not be available to other co-users until the author goes online. And similarly, the changes made by him in offline mode will not be available in the browser app or on some other machine until he goes online after making the changes.
Although, the changes would be available to him in AIR offline mode on the same machine.

Here are the reasons & solutions for SharePoint 2010 audience targeting missing:
1. Enable audience targeting in SharePoint 2010 Site Collection
Go to Site Actions >> Site Setting >> Click on "Site collection navigation" >> under Site Collection
Administration >> Make sure "Enable Audience targeting" is checked.
2. Audience Targeting feature is depending on SharePoint Publishing feature. So, Go to Site Settings >>
Site collection features >> SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure” Activate publishing feature on your site collection.
3. For Audience Targeting, We need "User Profile Service Application"! So make sure the user profile
service application is provisioned and running. Check the status of "User Profile Service" and "User Profile Synchronization Service" . Verify the UPSA is associated with your Web Application, by going to:
Central Administration >> Application Management
Manage Web Applications >> Highlight Your Web Application
Service Connections >> Make sure User Profile Service Application is checked.
Restart IIS!

Parts of form missing when browsing

Hi,
I have OS X 10.4.9 and am new to Mac and having a problem with browsing-am hoping its a simple one and you guys can help!
When I open certain web pages there are parts of the form which are missing. eg. i have a form for work which is missing a drop down menu to enter dates to apply for annual leave. On all other PC's its there but not on my Mac.
Also on other web pages I cant click on certain things like pics or music or files-(where it says click here).
Is there something my computer is missing? Any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks

To turn javascript on in Safari, go the the Safari menu and select Preferences and then go to Security. Check the javascript box.
What Rick mentioned is correct, web designers sometimes do restrict their work to Windows. It is because they're lazy, but the extra work is due to Microsoft's arrogance in following standards. My favorite example is PNG, which is a great graphics format with alpha transparency. But Microsoft never implemented it with alpha transparency on Windows (they did on Mac!), so a web designer has two choices: go with the cheesier GIF, or detect which browser you're using. Now what do you think most designers do?
The only way I know of to dectect browsers and change code accordingly on the client side is to use a scripting language and the most ubiquitous one is javascript. So because of Microsoft's policies, most designers need to use javascript to check if you're using IE on Windows. Check out my web site http://www.philsmith.com/caravan/ on a Mac and on Windows to see what I'm talking about. There's javascript to tell what browser you have, and the graphics and music are implemented differently in either case. Without javascript, I couldn't make this happen.
So your choices as a designer are to use javascript or go with one platform. And you can guess which platform most are going to choose.

Photoshop CS6 Startup Script Missing from Bridge CC

Hi. After downloading a Photoshop CS6 update, Camera Raw unlinked from Bridge CS6. I have a full CC subscription so I downloaded Bridge CC and that solved the problem. Now Photoshop does not appear in the 'tools' menu. It is missing from the Startup Script list in preferences as well. Where can I find or download the photoshop script?

restart Bridge holding down option (Mac) or ctrl (Win) key ad from the menu choose reset references. Try again. BTW, the start up scripts from the needed applications for Bridge Tool menu are in Bridge preferences / Start up scripts, they should show and have a checkmark in front of them.

Part of logo missing when exporting to PDF

I'm running ID CS6 and Acrobat Pro X.
When I export a document as a PRINT or INTERACTIVE pdf, part of my logo goes missing. The funny thing is that our design team are all running the same programs and 3 of our members can view the logo completely, the other 4 see half of the logo missing, I can see the logo just fine.
• The logo mark is visible, but the typography that is part of the logo is missing?! And it's a single grouped object in Illustrator.
• We've compared the settings on our teams' programs and on my ID program as well, and nothing seems be remotely related to the issue.
• Finder on Mac shows mixed visibility in file preview on different computers. Some show, some don't.
• In the past, I've been able to place vector objects from Illustrator into Indesign completely fine. I prefer vector over image because it allows me scaling flexibility.
• I have not changed any settings on my program between the time I was able and not able to do this. I don't understand why different people are getting different results on their screens. And in a couple of occasions, it has happened to one of our team members and it fixed itself mysteriously.
I would like to provide screen shots, but it is a private design.
One key note to realize is that the logo is completely outlined and grouped as a single object. I then save the logo into the same folder as the ID file (tried both, .EPS and .AI) and placed it (CMD+D) into InDesign. Both files are CMYK files.
I then make my PDF by hitting (CMD+E) to export, choose PDF Print. On the PDF settings, I choose [High Quality Print], compatible with Acrobat 5 and beyond, uncheck optimize for web, include bleeds, no color conversion.
I've had issues in the past where hidden layers in an .AI are still visible in the PDF. The .AI is imported into InDesign then exported as PDF... The hidden layers from the .AI preview in Finder, but then vanish when opening the PDF...so buggy.
Make any sense?!...

Similar to Mikey's response… If the logo has a spot color in it and it overlaps any raster image (or vice versa), then the overlapping part will appear white if "Overprint Preview" is turned off in Acrobat. This is really a bug. One possible fix is to export the PDF as an PDF/X-4:2010 in the "Standard" drop down—this preserves all transparency layering without flattening.
This issue causes frequent headaches and confusion in my workplace, especially since a lot of people want/need to hold on to the PDF/X-1a standard, which flattens the artwork.

Strange lines and parts of characters missing in the text and freezing iss

Recently our emac has been displaying squiggles or dashes randomly on the pages and sometimes parts of the letters are missing. We have also been recently having issues with the emac freezing while using Safari and itunes. I have checked on the Repair List and our mac has a serial # that falls into the effected models. Could these problems be related to that? I have been having a hard time finding my receipt and warranty info. I know we bought the extended warranty but I can't remember for how long. We purchased it in late 2005, early 2006. I don't really want to haul it into the retailer if these problems are related. Any help would be appreciated....Thanks

Yes, it does sound as though your eMac has been affected by the infamous "bad capacitor" issues. A way to check if it is without going to the Apple Store is to power the eMac off, and open up the RAM access slot. If you see the capacitors bulging, then you can go get your logic board replaced for free, and that will fix the issues.

There have been some reports of people putting in new capacitors by themselves, but taking it to the Apple Store is probably a better idea. First of all, it doesn't void the warranty. Second of all, it's free. And a lot easier.

while capturing Excise invoice Part I tab is missing , and while posting excise invoice i can see the part I tab.. can any one suggest why is ths happens,
Posting are recording in part I table but display of Part ! tab is not ther while capturing excise invoice..

When you Capture Excise Invoice, following are the effects;
1. Part1 entry will get posted.
2. An Excise Invoice with duty values will get updated against GR Doc.
3. No Part2 entry will be posted
4. No Accounting effect will be generated

When you Post Excise Invoice, following are the effects;
1. Part1 entry is already generated
2. Part2 entry will be posted
3. Accounting effect will be generated

Part of picture missing when printing

I have Quark Xpress, which I export into Adobe so it's easier to transport to the printer, etc.
Everything transfers fine and all the pictures show up entirely. When I print it, however, one picture has a "block" missing. It is only the one picture, all the other pictures on that page and the other 40 pages print perfectly.
Anyone have any ideas?
I tried re-exporting it from Quark, checking in Quark for any problems with the picture. The page prints fine in Quark -- Just when I try to print from Adobe, it removes a chunk. Please help!

Printing - part of document missing

I have been using Pages successfully for months and printing OK to an Epson Stylus CX5000.
I have just changed my printer (to get better photo quality) to a Canon Pixma MP810.
But now when I print existing Pages documents that print out perfectly on the Epson, I get a bit missing.
Specifically - the files are A4 colour pages consisting of 2 columns of black text and one colour photo. Under the colour picture there is a solid rectangle of yellow with a black type caption printing over the top. The solid yellow rectangle prints as 2 thin lines of yellow under the black type. The photo itself and which is on the same page prints perfectly.
If I run a print nozzle test - the test pattern and colour is perfect.
If I copy the solid yellow rectangle and paste it elsewhere on the page - then it doesn't print at all.
If I convert the Pages doc to a PDF - I get the same printed result; the yellow rectangle does not print.
If I create a new Pages document consisting of just 3 solid rectangles of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow - yes you guessed it - the yellow rectangle does not print! BUT if I create the same document in 'Appleworks' - it prints correctly.
On all the Pages document with yellow rectangles that do not print - they show correctly in Print Preview.
Anyone got any idea what is going on here? I have the latest 'Pages' software upgrade installed.

Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.2 V5(Doc ID 1614014.1) postSetup.sh script missing

I am working on Oracle EBS and OEID integration for iprocurement. Followed the Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.2 V (Doc ID 1614014.1).
But not able to find the postSetup.sh script at /u01/Oracle/quickInstall path which is use to perform following task:
1. Create JNDI: Create JNDI data source for Oracle Endeca Studio Portal and Clover to obtain a connection to the Oracle
2. Create DD: Create a default data domain profile for the dgraph processes to tune the performance of the integrator graphs.
I think this script is missing from the Oracle E-Business Suits Extensions for Oracle Endeca Server Quick Install for linux installable:
Please suggest.
Please refer doc id 1614014.1 page 9 step 5,6 of b) Perform post-setup steps.

SqlServer 6.5 offline script missing 4 files upon completion

hi there
i have run the SS6.5 offline script with a normal user, namely "jdoe" :P anyway, the output is complete and no trace of errors is found, except that 4 files are missing:
master\syslogins
db\mtg_sysprimkey
db\mtg_sysidxcol
db\sysobjects
(very important ones, don't you think?)
I absolutely have to use the "sa" account for this task?
or is enough with another "administrator-like" account?
any help or hint would be appreciated

You do need SA access for this. get the access or let someone who has access run the script. The output is pretty transparent so they can see what they are giving you.

Adobe Story - All scripts missing

I have been working on multiple scripts for quite some time, saving frequently. Today, Adobe story updated and now ALL my scripts are missing. The only script that is still there is the sample script, which I deleted long ago. It's like it reset to default settings.
I have made sure I was logged into the correct account, and tried logging in on the desktop and online versions. Anyone else have this problem or a solution??

Just spent the last three days on the phone to Adobe support about the exact same issue only to be told at the end of a 40 minute conversation (most of which was on hold) that it's not supported over the phone. Great, thanks. Couldn't you have told me that three days ago before wasting my phone bill and time? So I guess we are all going to make the same 2 minute movie about a wizard then...
Sometimes my scripts appear when I am offline and not logged into to the Adobe account, if I try and go online it asks me to log out and log into the Adobe account and bammo, all scripts gone with good ole Paladin staring me in the face.
Please help me sort this out, please, please, please!!!

Is Zoomify Script missing in Photoshop CC 2014?

Could someone with Photoshop CC 2014 confirm that Zoomify Export is working please?
I get the Zoomify Export Window, use the defaults and point to a folder and accept settings then see the following error:
Could not complete your request because the export script cannot be found.
Photoshop CC 2014.2.2
Windows 8.1
32GB RAM
500GB SSD w340GB available.
nVidia 650Ti Graphics
Any feedback would be helpful.

Yes I did delete my profile and had to reconfigure Photoshop to my defaults.
I have since confirmed this bug on 3 different Windows 8.1 systems including a clean install on a laptop. It effects systems I know it worked on now that they have been updated to Windows 8 so I don't think it's an issue with the install on this system. Will have to contact Adobe for the resolution to this one.
