"Partner Function TAB" missing
Some customers have NO "partner function tab" when you view them using XD03.
This cannot transact VA01. error: "no customer master record exists for sold-to party"
Other customer has partner function tab and it can transact on VA01 with no problem.
What is happening? How can I add-up partner function tab on that screen?

i agree with the solution proposed by phani.prasad
one important thing about assignment of partner determination to customer gr. is sequentiality; that means the sequence in which you configure, create is very important and determines correctness.
e.g.
first create cust. gr. > then assign partner determination > then create CMR
and not -
first create cust. gr. > then create CMR > then assign partner determination > then go to XD02 and try to fix the CMR
and not -
first create cust. gr. > then assign partner determination > then create CMR > then reassign / delete partner function > then go to XD02 and try to fix/change the CMR
this shall lead to errors in master data.
i have experienced this.

Until I know, it isn't possible. I think that you refer to table control TCTRL_PARTNERROLLEN in dynpro SAPMF02D 7324. I cannot see any BADI, enhancement or other tool.

Need some help on the following: we´re implementing the 'Accounts' functionality of CRM V4.0 for the SAP Portal V6.0 and when we access the 'Relationship' tab inside a contact person, depending on the relationship you create for that contact person, it opens a additional tab (down the screen on the 'details area 2')called 'Partner Function', in order to enter data related to sales organization and so on.
I would like to eliminate this tab ('Partner Function') inside the relationship tab - could anybody help me on that ? I´ve checked already the 'BUBA' transaction, made some tests but it didn´t reflected on the Portal.

Partner Function "Vendor" missing when the sales order is replicated to ECC
Hi Gurus,
We are facing a problem on replication of functions partners between
sales order of CRM and ECC.
We have downloaded vendors (partners of table LFA1) from ECC to CRM
following note 883162 and this replication was ok!
We have mapped all partner functions from ECC to CRM and from CRM to
ECC for distribution of partners between systems.
We must include a vendor using partner function '0000092 - Carrier' on
our sales order, which is transferred to ECC. However, when the sales
order is transfered to ECC, the vendor (which was included on CRM) is
missing.
When the sales order is created on ECC and the partner (type carrier)
is included in, the order arrives on CRM missing only the partner
number, because the partner function is there.
How to fix this problem?

For Order Replication from ECC system to CRM system your Configurations for both the system must be Coinciding.
Hope your Partner Function Determination in ECC and CRM are also maintained the Same way,else check for the Determination of Sub-Partner Function determination (Ship to Party,Bill to Party..) in ECC and CRM the way its maintained.
The Main Problem arising in your Order is after replication from ECC System your Sub-Partner Functions aren't getting Determined,
Check for the Partner Determination Procedure in CRM for the Sub-Partners and try to Determine them from your Main Partner Function e.g. Sold to Party.

You need to perform below settings
Run transaction NWBC, enter the role SAP_MDGS_MENU_03 and choose Start NetWeaver Business Client for HTML.
Choose Search Vendor.
Choose (Customize Page).
Note
If an error message is displayed concerning missing object component Customizing proceed as follows:
End of the note.
Choose New.
In the Create Customizing dialog box enter a description and choose OK.
In the Select Transport Request dialog box choose OK.
Mark Main Page BS_BP_OVP.
On the Overview Page Schema tab, click on Section: BP_SECTION to open the UIBB structure.
Mark UIBB: ERP Vendor: Sub-Ranges BS_SP_SUBRANGES.

Proposal of partner function and related master record in sales order
Hi Gurus,
As we know, a partner determination procedure is used to propose partner functions and the master data tied to them in the sales order.
I need to confirm the following if understanding is correct:
1. 1st a customer master record is entered with all the partner functions, say, SP SH PY BP and 9E (PE partner type).
The respective master record values like who is the SP SH PY BP and 9E are specified in the partner function tab also.
This customer master is assigned to a account group.
2. a Partner determination procedure is created and the same partner functions assigned to it.
Next, this procedure is assigned to the account group.
3. When I create an order for this customer, the sales order's partner function tab should automatically be populated with the partner functions and the respective master data value as defined in the customer master record.
Questions:
1. What if the partner determination procedure was not defined with 9E Partner function but the customer master record is?
2. What if the customer master record was not defined with 9E but the partner procedure is?
3. Why the partner procedure need to define the partner functions if its assigned to account group to which the customer master is assigned to already?
4. If the partner function 9E is not proposed in the sales order, can user manually enter this partner function and the respective master record value in the sales order partner function tab?

If the partner determination procedure is not defiend you can not maintain same in customer master the system will through you error message PE is missing.
2. What if the customer master record was not defined with 9E but the partner procedure is?
It depends how you want propose the same,
According the function it behaves, you can make this field is mandatory if you want the same is to customer master
3. Why the partner procedure need to define the partner functions if its assigned to account group to which the customer master is assigned to already?
normally the standard partner procedure follows as it is SP SH BL PY Still if you want add some other partners(agent,employee,contact person...etc.) you can define the same in the procedure.
4. If the partner function 9E is not proposed in the sales order, can user manually enter this partner function and the respective master record value in the sales order partner function tab?
As you can refer the second point if you set as optional you can enter the same in customer master partner function tab.

Partner function should be mandatory for a perticular sales org
We have a requirement to make Sales representative assignment to the sold-to-party mandatory , during order creation ( for a particular sale org) . We have to generate incompletion log for all the orders where this partner function is missing in the header data . Please throw some light on how to do this.

I don't think it is possible sales organisation wise
But you can have this requirement sales document type wise or item category wise or Customer account group wise through maintaining the check mark for sales employee partner function in the Mandatory check box at partner functions in procedure step in the partner dtermination.
Because partner functions maintained in the prtner procedure that procedure will assigned at these levels.

Sales Document Header
Sales Document Item
Delivery
Shipment
Billing Header
Billing Item
You can do like this
You define different customer account group for that sales organisation
Define new Partner determination procedure through copying existing standard one
You activate mandatory check for sales employee partner function in that new prtner determination procedure.
You assign this new procedure to the account group which is sales organisation specific.
Now you create customer master data with that account group in that specific sales org now system will give the error message if don't maintain the sales employee in that customer master data>sales area data>partner functions tab.
Before going to create customer master you create Sales employee master throuh VPE1 transaction.

Use this user exit to control the origin of partners in the partner determination procedure (origin X, Y or Z). If X, Y, or Z has been entered in the Origin field, this user exit is automatically called up during partner determination.
EXIT_SAPLV09A_004
Use this user exit to integrate your own check in a program, that runs before the partner is saved in the document.
For more detailed information, see the program documentation for each ofthe user exits.

Account Group and partner functions in customer master records

I need your help to confirm the following understand if correct:
1. To create customer master record for partner function Ship-To, need to create a customer master record using the uniquely assigned account group for Ship-To , that is, 0002 . In this ship-to master record, define in its partner function tab, the other partner functions related to it.
2. To create the above, it cannot be achieved by just assigning the partner functions in the partner function tab of SOLD-To customer master record , created using account group 0001.
Question:
1. How does the system know or allow what codes a user can select (f4) or enter manually when defining in customer master record's partner function tab, the partner functions and their respective codes?
How is this controlled? Is it by user authorization? or will user / sales administrator be able to select any codes tied to a partner function?
2. Lets say there are 2 partner functions : Sales employee VE and 9E called Sales Representative. Both of these partner functions are of Partner Type PE.
When defining in customer master record's partner function tab, how does the system know what codes is selectable for the administrator for each of these partner functions?

1. yes you are right.
2. you need to follow the steps as you said.
Question:
1. that you can find in the search basing on account group for partners. that assignment we should know russo which SH to be assigned to which SP. no need to have authorization for that, make a note of the list of SH and SP to be assigned that's all.
yes, he will able to select any SH from the list but make sure that we assign the correct SH to the list of SP.
2. that you will be defining it in Partner Determination Procedures. at the time of CMR creation you have to select the correct code that will get populated in sales order.

Replication of Partner Function from CRM 5 to ECC6 Issue
Hi experts
Is someone able to assist with pointing me in the correct direction to resolve a partner function replication issue please. We create all entities/BPs in CRM, and replicate them to ECC.
We have a custom partner function, ZF, that is held against Payer and Sold-to in ECC. This is a separate entity in CRM, but is sent according to relationship assignment to ECC. We have noticed that this partner function is not being updated correctly.
Scenarios:
Ending a relationship between Account/Customer (Payer/sold-to in ECC) and the Farm (ZF partner function) - the ZF partner function is removed in ECC. This is correct behaviour.
New Account or Customer creation in ECC with ZF relationship assigned, ZF partner function is being created in ECC. This is correct behaviour.
HOWEVER, when adding a new ZF relationship in CRM to an existing Payer/Sold-to, the ZF partner function does not get created in ECC. This is incorrect behaviour - new valid relationship should trigger ZF partner function in ECC.
Also, name changes to the ZF maintained in CRM, is not being updated in ECC for existing relationships. Instead, the Partner Function tab, ZF type, displays the old name for the Farm.
BUPAREL bdocs are being created and sent to ECC, however something is happening on the receiver end. How do we trace this, and does anyone have any ideas on where to start to find out what is happening here?

Authorisation at sales order partner function
Hello All,
The scenario is that there are group of users who have the authorisation to change delivery and assign a changed vendor (in partner function) at item level.
Now this group even requires the authorisation to do this at sales order line item level (in partner function), so that the data is alike in sales order as well as delivery.
My problem is, how to restrict the authorisation to only sales order line item level for partner function tab in VA02.
An early help would be appreciated.

Why does it bother you that the partners are different on sales and delivery docs ? Assuming you have delivery-related billing the partners on the billing doc will be those from the delivery.
I don't like these automatic updates in the backgrounds, you will run into exceptional cases where you specifically do not want it to happen.
Your authorization is set up not to allow these users to change the sales order. That is for a reason. Can't you put a procedural solution in place, some way contact the persons who do have access ? Could do that even via workflow.

Vendor Number not coming in partner functions in vendor master
Hi,
I am facing a peculiar issue with the vendor master.
I am creating a vendor having a account group z001 to which the number range is assigned as internal (only) and in the Partner Schema the vendor VN is defined as mandatory and checked for higher level.
When entering the data on reaching the partner function tab the first line item where we enter ahve the vendor details of VN it is coming blank in the non-editable mode where we have the vendor number cell. I noticed as I number range is internal till the vendor is saved the number is not assigned so in the partner tab in the first line item the number is blank.
On saving and going back to vendor in change mode I am finding the partner VN line item in non-editable mode and the vendor number is blank and I am not able to enter the number also.
How to overcome this issue.

Thanks for the response. As it is mandatory it is coming , but as it is defined as internal number, the number is assigned to vendor after saving only.
So if I got back to same vendor and see what is the partner no appearing in the first row, I see the number as blank, when I try to add the same number in change mode it is not allowing as the realted line ie first line is in non-editable mode. Here VN , and description VENDOR is coming but number not coming, and I am not able to add the number also.
This is my issue.

Partner functions namespace?
Hello All,
In a practice server i noticed that the SH partner function is missing under partner functions. When i tried to create it in the basic functions i am getting a warning stating that "choose the key from the allowed namespace"..
I ignored this message and saved my entry and added this partner function to the SP account group and TA as well. Now i created the customer for SP, in this i can see that the partner function SH is there in master data of SP. But when i created the order, the SH is not being considered. The field for SH in order is empty and is not being automatically picked from SP.
Please advice as to how to re-configure this SH in partner functions?

Replication of Vendor BBP_VENDOR_SYNC - Partner Function required?
Hi everyone - quick one here...
We are running Vendor Replication from R3 to SRM, and are using Replication Program BBP_VENDOR_SYNC overnight to do this. I am aware that we need Purchase Org Data setup for replication to occur.
Now we have 2 Account groups, 1 with Partner Functions VN, OA, and PI, and the other Account Group with NO Partner functions setup.
Replication picks up the Vendors with partner functions, and misses the ones with no Partner Functions. The only way to replicate the vendors with no Partner Functions is for us to manually run the old BBPGETVD.
Am I correct in assuming that at least one Partner function (VN?) is a prererquisite in order for BBP_VENDOR_SYNC program to work?
