Party doubt!

Hi folks,
I have a doubt regarding XI parties. I understand that party is used when we are exchanging messages in a cross-business scenario (B2B). In my case, I’m talking about an IDoc scenario in a A2A vision, or either, all the Business systems involved are into our landscape, however, in the technical design, some of them have the profile type KU (customer), and all the documentation that I read (SDN) mention the usage of Parties for that kind of Partner Profile.
Tell me if I’m right, LS means ALE and KU means EDI and EDI is for B2B scenarios… So, Do I need to define a Party or I can skip it and use this profile type with services without Party?
Thanks in advance,
Ricardo.

> 1 - Do I need two parties for that? One per each
> Business Service?
Not absolutely necessary. The same party can be used for different Business Services.
> 2 - In Party Identifiers configuration I have 3
> parameters to fill: Agency, Schema and Name. For
> Agency I fill it with Business System Name, for
> Schema - ALE#KU and into Name what I should use
> there? This value should be given to me from Business
> Service Team? I guess is something like an identifier
> number that I don't have yet…
This will not be provided by the Business Service team. If your requirement is to post an idoc of type KU from XI to a R3 system then the Sender Partner Name and Receievr Partner Name will be taken from the VALUE of the party and this should be obtained from your R3 team.
If the R3 has the partner profile for a Partner KU with value 00000012 then this is the value to be used in the party in XI and so on.

  • Third Party Subcontracting Process doubt

    Hello all Gurus,
I have one doubt regarding the third party subcontracting process. I have created a PO with delivery address as that of SC vendor.
Now how to do the GR for components if the SC vendor lets me know that he has received the materials from the 3rd party vendor??
Can someone tell me the process after a PO is created for this scenario???
    Thanks and Regards,
    Umakanth.

    Hi,
As I perceive you are speaking about the provision of subcontracting components from one of your vendor directly to another one,
In this case you did well if you wrote the vendorID in the suitable field on 'Delivery address' tab of your PO. 'SC Vendor' thickbox should be also checked. This is not the subcontracting PO itself, it is only a PO to procure the components for subcontracting - your SC vendor receive the components directly. That's why there's no point in speaking about 'L' item category.
After getting information from your SC vendor about the arrival of the goods (components) the only thing you have to do is to do a GR against your PO. The goods will get to your SC vendor's special stock via mvt 101 + 'O'.
    That's all.

  • A doubt on third party sales scenario

    hi gurus
    please anybody solve my doubt
in the third party sales scenario, the vendor delivers the goods to the customer and sends the delivery acknowledgement to the company.
by what configurations the delivery acknowledgement will automatically go to the company from vendor
    regards
    mahesh

When you do MIGO (Goods Receipt), it will trigger PGI automatically.
Vendor has to inform Us when they delivered to our Customer.  This could be done via Proof of Delivery (POD).
Let me know if you need more details.
Please reward points if you find this information is useful /resolves your issue.

  • Urgent  Doubt in 3rd party

    Hi,
In 3rd party, the customer sales information How to track the Vendor. And
how to find the vendor delivery qty
    how to settled the Accounts
How to settled the return materials to vendor
    Thanks for advace
    pls urgent
    Regards
    Rao

    Hello,
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z  will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X  is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted  then only X can create an invoice for Y.
    Third Party Return Process
If the vendor grants you a credit memo on a quantity or a value basis, you can then send this credit memo directly to your customer.
The billing type Third-party credit memo (G2S) is available for this. The billing type Third-party credit memo works with the item category TASG (third-party credit memo item). The Billing-relevance indicator F is set in Customizing for Sales for this item category. This means that the cost is not created. In Customizing for Sales, the item category TASG is set at item level in copying control for the billing type G2S (copying control sales document by billing document) as the target item category (source: TAS-> Target:> TASG.)
    Process Flow
Create a billing document with billing type Third-party credit memo (for further information, see the section Creating a billing document in the Billing document). Enter the third-party order as a document still to be processed. The quantities are automatically removed from the invoice.
The above is the process for giving a credit memo which can be adapted for return goods.
    REWARD POINTS IF HELPFUL

  • Doubt about third party process

    Hello SD Consultants.
Recently i joined in a company...so here we implement third party process.. My colleague has implemented third party process.
here he has done...va01...me21n...migo...miro and vfo1......but when i take coaching they dint say about migo in third party...so
friends please help me..what is the relevance of migo here...we are not receiving any goods from  vendor...so whats the use...
    Thanking you

    Dear K. Ram
MIGO - goods recipt, MIRO - invoice verification.
Third party process sales order > PR > P.O  > MIRO > Invoice (delivery done by vendor to customer)
Individual purchase order (IPO)   sales order > PR > P.O  > MIGO >  MIRO > Invoice (delivery done by vendor to company n then to customer).
You are right concept wise. Ask ur friend or team leader and try to have a discussion on business process.
Also check the Item category group  is BANS (Material master), Item category  TAS (Sales order)  for third party .
If it is showing BANC, TAB. It is IPO as mentioned above and u have been disguised with business process explanation from your friend/ seniors or they din't understand the process.
You can discuss n debate , also raise a point of reducing the master data by eliminating migo transaction in third party.
This is what been taught to us too.

  • Ship to party and vendor relation in third party process

    Hello Experts,
I need your precious suggestions on my business requirement.
When we create the third party sales order system creates the Purchase Requisition and further PO is created through purchasing department.
Suppose in my third party sales order I have two items X & Y, and both need to deliver at two different ship to party XXX & YYY respectively. in order system determine plant 1000 for both materials based on plant determination (CMIR >> CMR >> MMR) and system generates PR.
I know while converting the PR to PO system check Source list (ME01) to determine the vendor. my requirement is I want to determine Vendor based on ship to party in sales order. suppose ship to party locations for XXX and YYY are Bangalore and Pune respectively and in both place we have different vendor. Both vendor manufacture product X & Y. so I want system should pick the vendor according to ship to party.
Is there any relation between ship to party and vendor which will work in third party processing ?
Kindly explain how I can achieve this requirement.
    Thanks,

I doubt this can't be achieved by SAP standard functionality. You may need to use user exit. Check Third party to purchase req user exit or purchase req user exit to fulfill the requirement.

  • Delivery date should be confirmed in third party process

    Dear Experts,
I have one doubt in third party process i.e., while creating sales order how can we confirm the delivery date because here vendor deliver the goods to customer but if customer is asking for delivery on a particular date then how can we assure him the delivery date is there any tracking in standard or how to solve this requirement.

    Dear Venkatesh
In the third party Process, the Vendor will deliver the goods. That is correct. so as per my experience the delivery dates will get copied to Sales order ----- PR ----then PO. Then the vendor will also deliver the goods on the date which is mentioned copied into PO only.

  • One doubt in VL03N transaction/

    Hi All,
I have one doubt in VL03N transaction.I am an ABAPer.I don't iknow much about the SD process. My SD consultant has changed the Ship-To-Party addressin customer master but it is not reflecting in the document in VL03N.But when I see in the Environment -> Ship-To-Party i can see the address which we changed. Can anyone suggest the reason behind this difference?

    Hi Saket,
if u have different ship to party, while creating the sales order u have to sellect the  ship to party. while creating delivery document WRT sales order sys automatically specifies that ship to party. ( i think they have not selected new ship to party at sales order level)

    link tells
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/987949
1 Flow  to bring the stock from Customer is
    va01 return order ( W/O Ref) --vl01n- Ref deli---MIGO ---VF01 ( Credit memo with ref to Return delivery )
2 Flow  to Send the stock from company to vendor
ME21N( Ret PO )-- MIGO---MIRO ( Credit memo with ref to Ret po )
i know this flow is Right to credit memo in 3 Rd party But in both cases MIGO IS Mandatory or not ?
Second thing is TASG Is item category For credit memo in third party ..i have checked in VOV7
But i didnt understand this where i will insert /
    Thanks a lot

    Dear Madhuri ..
You mentioned is How to bring stock From Customer and sending to vendor Right
    This is special process
Coming to TASG Item category , i have to tell you How credit memo is created in Third party process
I Am telling as per My knowledge
Now create credit memo  ....Create credit memo Req  ( G2) with ref to Invoice not with Third party sales order

    Thanks a lot

  • Third party sale scenario: COGS not allowed as automatically posted.

    Dear Gurus,
I have come across this error during execution of third party sale scenario.
When the user enters a PO with reference to PR which is in reference to SO, one error pops up which says COGS cannot be automatically posted only.
When I deselect the "Post automatically" tick, the PO can be saved.
Process we are following during third party sale process:-
    1. Sales order.
    2. PR with reference to Sales order.
    3. Purchase order with reference to PR.
    4. Statistical GR with reference to PO.: COGS Dr. To GR/IR Clearing account Cr.
    5. Sales Invoice: Customer Dr. To Sales Cr.
    6. MIRO: GR/IR Clearing account Dr. To Vendor Cr.
I have my own doubts on the statistical GR part. Can you pls. validate the same.
Also in case of third party sale, what will be the CO object as COGS is not created a cost element. (SAP standard)

  • Solution for 3rd party sales in 2 R/3 system

    Hi Gurus,
I faced a design question right now, we have 2 different SAP R/3 system, one is for pruduction and the other is for sales company (just business requirement), the production plant in the first system and the sales company in second company are the same legal entity.
Now my question is that, if I do a third party sales (since in 2 systems I just use 3rd party but not intercompany), sales to the end customer in 2nd R/3 system but directly deliver from 1st R/3 system, how can ido it? Since they are in the same legal entity, I can not issue invoice in the 1st R/3 system to the 2nd system. If the invoice can not be issued, is that OK with finance part?
Please kindly help. Thanks in advance.
If there are any doubts in my description, please just reply, I will watch this post.

    Hi,
You have not mentioned in which system purchasing process is handled.
In the third party sales system sales order is created, then purchase requisition and purchase order will be created for the sales order. This purchase order will be sent to an external vendor, who supplies the product directly to the customer. Then the vendor will send the invoice to the sales organization company and vendor invoice posting will be carried out in the system against the purchase order. After invoice posting only the sales organization will create the invoice for the customer.
Since vendor directly delivers to the customer, there is no need to carrry out delivery from the 2nd system. The grey area in your case is how the two system talks with each other to make sure what quantity has to be billed to the customer (if purchasing is handled in different system than the sales processing system). Are the two systems talk each other?

  • Logical Sys Name for Business system in SLD for Third Party

    Hi !!
I have little doubt what will be the logical system name for creating Business systems in SLD for third party?
    thanks
    Gowri

    Hi Gowri,
sorry, i dont agree with the other answers. The logical system name is required for ALE partner finding. If you dont want to communicate with IDocs you dont need it. If you want to send messages from third party system to R/3 via IDoc adapter, then you should (can) give a name. It can be configured in IB directory as well (adapter specific identifiers). Choose any name, this name will be used for the partner agreement in R/3.

  • Basic doubt about Primary Key/Foreign Key in Oracle Tables

    Hi,
I have a doubt whether Primary Keys/Foreign Keys are allowed in Oracle. Some of the people I know are telling me that Oracle does not encourage having Primary Keys/Foreign keys in its database tables.
However if I go to the ETRM and look for information about some of the Oracle Tables, I am informed that Primary Keys do exist. However I am being told that ETRM is not a reliable way of having correct information about table structure.
It would be great if any one of you provides me with some insight in this. Any pointers to a document would be great.
    Thanks

It is not that PK/FKs are disallowed in Oracle Apps (there are some on the standard Oracle Apps tables), but they are typically not used. I am not positive what the logic behind this is, but my guess is that it was party due to the earlier versions of Oracle Apps pre-dating declarative database referential integrity in Oracle DB and also on performance issues with the standard referential integrity with the earlier versions of declarative database referential integrity.
As far as eTRM is concerned - I understood that the data is based on a design repository rather than a physical Oracle Apps DB. So all of the information in there is logically correct, but not necessarily enforced via the standard Oracle DB declarative referential integrity (rather by the application code or APIs).
