Pasting from the clipboard using SharePoint 2010 rich text editor

Currently we are using Microsoft SharePoint 2010. In the Rich Text Editor their is a Paste option in which a user can copy from say a Word document and paste it in their content place holder. Right now I recieve an error message when trying to use the paste button " Your browser is not configured to allow access to your computer’s clipboard. Use Control+X for Cut, Control+C for Copy, and Control+V for paste". I cannot use the paste button for whatever reason. I have tried to change my javascript file within FireFox and it still doesnt work. After working with Microsoft on the problem they informed me that it was FireFox causing the problem and suggested I contact you for information or possible fixes.

there is a textflow component

still exports to font tags unfortunately, but its closer than the richtexteditor. Its basically at the point where you could even write your own small parser and adapt the output to the format you desire.

I can't copy and paste from the Internet (using commands or manually).

I can cut and paste within word but just not from the Safari to word. I have just recently purchased MacKeeper if that has anything to do with it? HELP!!

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those.

Using third party Rich Text Editors with Portal Release 2 (9.0.2)

We would like to use some third party Rich Text editor with portal as the Oracle Rich Text editor is fairly basic and it does not fulfill our business requirements.
Some of the things we are hoping to accomplish by through this text editor (after customizing) are:
Ability to select any page within the portal to add as link in the Text Editor.
Ability to select images from the portal repository.
Create HTML Tables.
Support of copy/paste from Microsoft Word.
I am looking for any suggestions or experiences on how this can be done.

Configuration of the rich text editor not working as expected, can you help?

I'm having a great deal of trouble customising the available features of teh rich text editor to the point where I believe there is either a bug, or the documentation is incorrect.
I have defined 3 plugins; edit, format and lists.
I can configure edit to enable or disable features, but format and lists cannot be configured and always display as default no matter what I configure.
Here is the configuration:

As you can see I specify only bold for format, and ordered and unordered for lists, but all features are still present (edit however is configured as expected).
Hopefully someone can point out a schoolboy error that I have made, or agree this is a bug.

Nope, upgrade to 5.6.1 makes no difference.
@Jr. Jason - What version of CQ5 are you running where you are seeing the above configured correctly?
Also I've found that I can't enable the image plugin.

Making Rich Text Editor with PHP in Dreamweaver - Problem with CKEditor...

Hi,
I am developing a website in Dreamweaver and using the platform of PHP and MYSQL. I need to develop a Rich Text Editor just like the one I am typing at the moment. With my recent searches I have come across with CKEditor as one of the possibilities to add a Rich Text Editor to my website. I have seen older versions of CKEditor also known as FCKEditor which I believe unfortunatley is out of date and obsolete now (discontinued). I cannot find any of the downloads now from anywhere on the web.
I can find FCKEditor tutorials with PHP, but can not find CKEditor tutorials for PHP (when I try googling it, it always gives me FCKEditor page). Can anyone please help me and tell me if I can still make Rich Text Editor using CKEditor and PHP?
If yes, please guide me how? Any tutorials or reading material will be very helpful.

Yes, you absolutely can use CKEditor to create a rich text editor with PHP/MySQL.I have tried several editors and it's my choice.

CKFinder is also very good in conjunction with CKEditor. Although it costs $59/per website, it's better than the free alternatives.

Rich text editor in OOTB taskflow not getting rendered in iPad

Hi,
We have a Webcenter Portal(11.1.1.6) Framework application. One of the pages, we have used a Blogs OOTB taskflow.
When we try to access the application from an iPad, the area where i can key in data is missing and it gives a pop up saying "The page could not be loaded".
On analysis of the taskflow, we could see that it was the <rte:editor> component that was missing from the page.
We could understand from certain forums that there is an incompatibility between rich text editor components and Safari browser.
Do we have any alternate way to solve this issue.
Any help is appreciated.

ADF and such WebCenter is not supported on Safari iOS 6 until 11.1.1.7
You probably have to use a different rich text editor however those can interfere with the ADF JS framework.

Apologies if this has been asked before, (I'm new to jsp.). I'm looking for a rich text editor for a JSP website like freetextbox for asp.net.
I'm sure there are loads out there for jsp or something we can integrate, could anyone point me in the direction of something they've used, heard of or just know about. Any details on how good they might be would be helpful

You can use any existing rich text editor. Those kind of editors are usually entirely clientside (HTML/CSS/JS) and doesn't have any dependency on JSP nor ASP. The only point where JSP/Servlet comes into action is when the user submits the form with the text to the server.

Very slow pasting data from the Clipboard into a Sharepoint 365 list by using the Quick Edit view

I'm interest about same thing. Clipboard is often only way to migrate lists between sharepoint versions and now it is almost unpossible to use.

Can't cut & paste from Firefox into MS Word 2010, but can using MS Internet Explorer

Updated Firefox to most recent version, then installed MS Office 2010 with MS Word 2010. Then attempted to copy and paste a selection from the internet using Firefox as the browser, but when MS Word 2010 was opened, all paste functions were greyed out and non-functioning. Eventually, I closed Firefox and opened MS Internet Explorer to browse the internet and attempted the same copy and paste on the same selection of text on the internet, but when MS Word 2010 was opened, all of the paste functions worked. Seems like MS is blocking the text copy and paste function in MS Word unless the internet browser is MS Internet Explorer. The previous version of MS Word was 2007 and it functioned the same for both Firefox and MS Internet Explorer when internet text selections were copied and pasted into a MS Word document. Operating system is Windows XP with all service packs.

Take a look at Metalogix ControlPoint, which will compare user accounts on SharePoint to Active Directory and remove accounts that no longer exist in AD (or are disabled).

How can I erase images from the clipboard while using ink and slide or sketches and lines apps?

I've been having trouble with my clipboard while using my adobe ink. Is there any way I can erase the images saved on the clipboard, because have been trying and I can't find a way to do it, it seems like the only option is by turning the selection into favorites and then a trashcan icon appears, but even if I choose delete it will only be erased from the clipboard favorites while remaining on the clipboard.
I've thought erasing the sketches App, or deleting the project but I don't want to risk losing my work.

Call AppleCare and tell them you just want to know if your iPhone is unlocked and if not, who is it locked with. If it is locked contact the cell provider and ask them what their unlock process is and complete it if you qualify.
