hello, my question is that my current country on the store shows a currency and my credit is in dollars, what should I do to pay in dollars?

Our store pickup option provides our customers with the option of picking their items up at a time convenient for them from one of our stores, and sometimes it is faster than waiting for an item to ship to their home. It is regretful to hear that your order for a computer may have taken longer than usual to process and ship. As someone who is almost always glued to some piece of technology, I can understand why this would be so stressful.
I’m glad to hear it finally shipped, and is on its way to the store where you will pick it up. Using the information you registered with the forum, I was able to check on the order. It appears that it is a special order item, meaning that it is a vendor fulfilling the order, rather than it being readily available. That being said, it is not uncommon for these orders to take a bit longer than usual to process as the order has a few extra steps to go through.
I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this delay may have caused you, and I am thankful that you took the time to share your thoughts with us. I hope you enjoy your new computer!

Why can't I use my new IPad to pay in stores with apple pay?

I want to know why it is not possible to use your ipad mini 3 or ipad air 2 to pay with apple pay in stores. Why can you only use apple pay online with ipads and with iphones you can use them for in store purchases and online purchases. I mean I guess how it makes sense to apple, sense most people wouldn't want to bring there ipad a long with them to pay, but for some people, especially if you have the latest ipad mini which is like a phablet anyways, I feel like it would be nice if you could use it to pay in store with apple pay.

We have no clue as to what Apple may come up with in future models, but for now the snazzy tap&go allure of ApplePay can only be done using an iPhone 6 or 6plus.
Purportedly the rest of the devices can do thru-the-web Apple Pay-ment, but that's not as sexy and not as widespread.

We are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know until if/when Apple announce something - presumably they haven't yet been granted enough licenses from the publishers/rights-holders for Hong Kong.

Need to install Snow Leopard--seems complicated. Can I pay Apple store to do it?

While I'm mostly a right brain type (writer), I can still do a lot of semi-geeky on my Mac Book Pro and even recently figured out how to rescue my mother's iMac from the "death screen" by using some keyboard shortcuts after unplugging all her cords. (After that feat of techno-heroism I was immediately written back into her will.)
Having said THAT, for some reason, the idea of installing a new operating system myself freaks me out. I have this fear that my 4-year-old MacBook Pro is going to crash, or something almost as bad will happen. (Yes, of course, I would back it up first.)
Every "guide" I read about installing Snow Leopard starts out simple, then it starts to look complicated. "If you want this, then don't do this..." If you don't want this, then do this..." etc.
Also, I may not even be able to do it anyway as my DVD drive doesn't work anymore. Won't I need that to work anyway--or a tech person for that matter--in order to be able to install the installtion disc?
OR WILL I NEED TO GET THE DRIVE FIXED FIRST? DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH THAT WILL COST TO GET THIS FIXED?
At this point, I would be willing to pay someone $50 to do it (a pro of course). Can I pay an Apple store tech person to install it for me? At the same time they can run a diagnostic and maybe figure out a way for me to remove duplicate files and all that junk that I have filling up up my hard drive.
I need to do this ASAP because I am limited in my speed in selling on eBay (I also sell vintage and designer clothes) because I can't bulk list upload, etc.
Please, can someone help? Would an Apple store do this for me if I paid them? I would have more peace of mind if they did it.

IPhone 6 and apple pay pre-sale question

When will Apple Pay be rolled out to the UK?
Will I be able to get rid of all my Loyalty cards and store them on Apple Pay?
I have absolutely loads of cards and they drive me mad.
Will I be able to put my Boots Advantage Card onto it and collect and spend points with an iPhone 6 at checkout in store? Will I be able to do likewise with the Nectar card, Morrisons Card, Shell Card, plus any other loyalty and discount cards as well as my debit and credit card?
On an iPhone can you only store MP3's or can you store and play other formats like wav and ogg vorbis?
Do you have to buy all your music through iTunes or can you add your own music including mix CDs etc? I have noticed in the past not all mixed music transitions flawlessly from one track to the next in MP3 format. One of the many faults with this lossy music format.

App Store Questions

Hey, so I just recently downloaded the App Store for Mac, and its working great, but I had a couple of trivial questions I was hoping someone could answer. Since I am now downloading all of my applications (pages, keynote, etc) and dont have a concrete cd anymore, how will I be able to move those applications onto another computer if the one I'm currently using gets trashed? (unlike when I would just have a cd and I could reinstall it in another computer and use the confirmation key to register it). Also, like many retail stores, it is possible to return software if its not what its lived up to be, so Im also wondering that if I download an application and decide I don't like it, do I have a timeframe or something where I'm allowed to "return" the application, get my money back, and have the app store uninstall it from my computer? If anyone can answer one or both of those questions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Copying an app works like copying any file; if you're copying from volume to volume, as you are when copying from one computer to another, it's a copy, not a move, so the original file remains in its original location.
if I drag an application iBank does all the data inside go as well or just the Application?
Data files for a Mac OS X application are almost always separate from the application file. You will need to check with the developer of the app to be certain, but in almost all cases if there's a data file kept, it will be separate and need to be copied separately if you want it on the other computer. This is definitely the case with iBank (I use it so I know).

Hi, i was wondering if there was any forum about the apple store itselve, becouse i can't find any and I was wondering about something with my delivery.
Wen i ordered my ipod it said delivery date 5 days and the day after it said 2 day on site, now on my order form it says 5 days aswel, is it possible that the 2 days till shipping could apply to my order aswel now? becouse it would be strange if someone who ordered a day after me could receive his product 3 days sooner.
I posted my question here aswel, maybe i then don't have to make another post ;o sorry if this is a "not done" thing but i'm new here and just learning how it works.

There is no forum for the Apple Store, per se, since the Discussions are intended for technical support on Apple products. In addition, there's really nothing anyone here could tell you that would be authoritative; none of us (with the exception of the Discussions Hosts who know nothing about order times) work for Apple. All anyone could say is to report their own experience which may or may not bear any resemblance to yours.
The best thing to do if you have a question about an order from the Apple Store is to call the Store and ask. They're the only ones who can give you any definite information about the shipping time for your order.

Online Apple store question...Re: refurbished macbook

Sorry, I wasn't sure where else to post this.
I was looking at buying one of the refurbished macbooks from the online apple store and the other day saved it in my cart. I've noticed now that it's no longer on the website as an available item, but it is still saved on my account.
Does anyone know if I would still be able to purchase this? I would do so within the next day or two ... just waiting to see if I can resurrect my iBook first...
Also, I've read alot of the good accounts of buying refurbished items on these boards, but was wondering if anyone has had a BAD experience buying refurb'd mac products??

Question 1:
I think the refurbished MacBooks tend to come and go in the online store. Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not. I would recommend calling your local Apple Store and asking if they have any refurbished or "refreshed" MacBooks.
Question 2:
I bought my MacBook used from a guy who bought it refurbished somewhere around May I think. It has the CPU whine, the squeaky hinge, the sizzling power brick, and the heatsink was replaced for the random shutdown issue.
That said, since this is a very early MacBook, there were a lot more unresolved issues when it was purchased. If you buy a refurb now, you'll probably be fine. As an example, my friend's refurb, purchased pretty recently, works great, and hasn't had any issues at all. I'm just posting this because you'll find a lot of posts on these boards about issues with early MacBooks (refurbs or not) like this. I think at least most of the MacBook problems have been worked out.
I'm probably going to call AppleCare tomorrow re: the hinge and power brick; in my experience they've been great about replacing parts, etc, and there are temporary fixes for the whine that make it tolerable. :P
I have not had a "BAD" experience at all whatsoever owning this MacBook. Yes, it has some issues, but I love my MacBook (and so does everyone I know), and the great feeling of finally owning a Mac (I've been saving for who knows how long!) makes up for the annoying whine, etc. I hope this post doesn't turn you off on a refurb.

When the OAS says an order will ship in "5 - 7 business days", is the business day the order was placed counted in that time frame or does the time start the NEXT business day?

Anyway, my experience is that the day the order is placed generally isn't considered to be the first day, but in general those estimates aren't that precise. If you buy something on the Apple online store, then I am sure you realise that you have to pay upfront and it won't let you check out without paying first.
Also, I don't think that store delivery is an option - you need to enter a home address for that store and enter valid credit or debit card details to be able to use it and Apple will not ship overseas from any of their stores, so make sure you get the correct store for your country.
All you can do is purchase what you want and then return the others for a refund. Either you do this or go directly to the Apple store and see if you can do an exchange there face to face.
It is the only way as you can't check out of an online store without paying.

Ovi store question. Nokia 97.

Are we now charged for receiving the confirmation text saying our purchase has been completed? I only ask because I have two premium rate text charges on my phone bill - one for £3 the other for £1, both sent immediately after a purchase, as the original purchases only came to £1 each I feel this charge is unfair especially as nothing has been mentioned.

Bit disappointed with contacting Ovi store about this, they replied quickly saying it was data charges, when I tried to reply telling them I had unlimited internet so the charge wasn't for data I was informed that I'd have to fill out the online form again. I phoned them instead & was informed to contact my phone operator (T-Mobile) as the texts were free, I did but they told me the text came from a premium rate number so weren't free although they did refund the cost they said it was a one-time thing. Perhaps I'm just with the wrong provider for the ovi text to be free.
