Payload issues in PI7.11 system

we have upgraded our pi system recently from PI7.0 to 7.11, we are seeing few payload issues in the newly upgraded system.
scenario: file to file, using Central Adapter Engine and
basically for a file to file interface , we are not able to see the payload in the messages. Though the message is failing at the recevicer determination pipeline. we are curious that why payload is not being displayed at the header level. But for other interfaces the payload is being visible.
error: xml cannot be displayed
cannot view xml input using style sheet, please correct the error and click the refresh button.
Invalid at the top level of the document, error processing file:///c:/documents and settings
1 TMECHBP 89912 85940 31.57
missing equals sing between attribute and attribute value.
The same scenario is working in 7.0 system and payload is visible but not in 7.11
please share your inputs.

As already mentioned above, it looks like the message shown in the monitor is no XML, but rather a flat file.
Probably the file content conversion in the sender file communication channel is not migrated (in PI 7.0 you would see the same error in case a flat file would show up in the monitor without being converted).
To check the 'real' content of the payload, you can go to the SXMB_MONI transaction and use a right mouse click on the payload to get a context menu which should have an entry "View Source". If you do so, then the content should be shown in some text editor and it should become clear whether the content is XML or not. If it is not, then please check the configuration of the file content conversion; if so, then check whether the content is valid XML.

I have a strange issue cropping up. An interface has gone for production. Now due to some support packs being installed on the target side, they are testing few interfaces in Dev environment again. But this time it is not working. This interface was tested long back.

Observation and Steps Taken for checking:
No conditions are there for Receiver Determination. Its a simple proxy to http scenario.
I performed the unit testing. Did the configuration testing as well as have sent a same payload to the target system using RWB.
All are successful and message also reached target successfully.
But when SAP sends it gets stuck. i have the same issue with 2 interfaces, both having the same problem.

Hi Kevin,
Then the old method which we use to follow here.. Do a dummy change (like putting some value in description) in Receiver determination and activate it.
See if this solves the problem.
BTW you were saying that a successful message comes when you test this interface from RWB or test configuration; but when you test from SAP it is throwing this error!!!
try comparing all fields in SOAP header field. Also try comparing the "trace" in both cases.

Performance Issue for BI system

Hello,
We are facing performance issues for BI System. Its a preproductive system and its performance is degrading badly everyday. I was checking system came to know program buffer hit ratio is increaasing everyday due to high Swaps. So asked to change the parameter abap/buffersize which was 300Mb to 500Mb. But still no major improvement is found in the system.
There is 16GB Ram available and Server is HP-UX and with Netweaver2004s with Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 installed in it.
The Main problem is while running a report or creating a query is taking way too long time.
Kindly help me.

Authorization issue in BI system.

Having a authorization issue in BI system.
user trying to run a query in and attempt to drill down by customer, he gets customer details but some of the customers are missing...
Does the authorization granted in BI system based on customers? Is it a security issue?

Hi,
Please execute the query with your id(developer id who will be having access to all data) first. Check if you are able to see all the customer data. If you are able to see all the data then the user is restricted with some authorizations. ( usually the authorizations are done on sales organization, company codes, plant..etc.. please check how it is in your project...)
If you are not able to see all the customer data, then check in the infoprovider on which the query is built and do your analysis.
Check in the roles assigned to the user.

No, no, no. MacKeeper is legit virus protection software BUT it's very poorly written. I had it on my Mac and, on occasion, it would take three or four minutes to do something as simple as opening a folder. I did some investigation and found that MacKeeper was consuming 200% or my processor when the virus protection kicked in. Don't ask. I can't explain a figure greated than 100%. In any event, I deleted MacKeeper and the problem was instantly solved.
For the record, virus protection is really unnecessary with a properly maintained Mac. I bought MacKeeper for the purpose of retrieving a trashed file from a jump drive. It couldn't do that, either!
Finally, MacKeeper is only for the Mac - you couldn't install it on an iPad even if you wanted to.

I believe you may be referring to the $49 ASL agreement at AppleCare? That is only when/if you are out of AppleCare Protection.
Can you get to an AppleStore Genius Bar?
They may be able to fix this for you. No charge.
I highly doubt that. There is a $70 charge for troubleshooing software issues, EVEN IF there is AppleCare Warranty on the hardware.
However, since there is no charge for an appointment at a Bar, go make one, and see what options they give you. Let us know how it goes.

Middleware issues due to System copy on ERP

Hi Middlewware Gurus,
We are currently on CRM 5.2 and the backend ERP system is 4.6C. In our project we are currently exchanging only BP data but going forward we will exchanging Sales Quotation and Materials. Currently the CRM system is not live but the ERP system is live and the client has a process for overlaying their ERP QAS with the Production system every month. We recently have installed the CRM QAS system and connected it with the ERP QAS system. But before downloading any data into CRM, client has done a system copy of ERP Prod to ERP QAS. Due to this the logical system names got changed and outbound queues in ERP were failing with an error. Based on our experiences in earlier projects, we ran BDLS in the ERP QAS and our problem got solved.
Because of the huge data in the ERP system, the BDLS Tx. ran for almost 6 hrs for which client is against doing so. We would be facing this issue with Logical System everytime there is a system copy of ERP Prod onto ERPQAS. Is there a way to identify the tables that for relevant for CRM Middleware and update the Logical system directly in those tables using a custom progrm. With this approach, we will be eliminating the long runtimes for executing BDLS. With BDLS, you have to again bring the system down and lock out the users. One table which I could identify is CRMPRLS. If anyone has a list of those tables or know a way to identify these tables, please let me know.

Hi Martin,
You can follow SAPINST to export your source database and import the same into target database as you have performed in your ABAP+JAVA system.
In case you want to go with option of attaching/detaching database, you should refer the following SAP notes.

Above note has steps to perform the database copy using attach/detach method.

Unable to see Payload in SAP PI7.31 Single stack

Hello Experts,
We have a scenario of Mail as sender and ECC as reciever using Proxy. We are using SAP PI7.31 single stack.
Here we are reading the file from mail attachment which is in CSV format and sending the data to ECC successfully.
But while to check the payload in Message Monitor, while click on the "Mailattachement-1.csv" it is opening with "No Message Selected".
Can someone please let me know how can I check the payload of the attachement.

Payload at Adapter for System Errors - SOAP receiver adapter

Hi Everybody,
I am working on an Idoc to SOAP asynchronous scenario.
There are connection issues between SOAP adaper and the target webservice.
I need to capture the Idoc number from the message payload for the Erroneous messages at the adapter for the System errors.
Is there any way of capturing field values from the payload (Say, Idoc number) at the SOAP receiver Adapter level.
Helpful answers will be rewarded points.

Hey,
I think you need to implement a module inorder to get the payload at receiver adapter module.
As far i concern you can not directly refer the payload in adapter in receiveer communication channel unless you have your own module, which gets the payload. Check the Modules tab in the communication channel and also regarding how to get the payload for error information, follow the steps mentioned in the below link, which gets the payload in file. hop it will resolve your issue.

CS6 Install -Adobe Switchboard Payload issue

I installed CS6 extended with no issues about a week ago and it was working beautifully and unfortunately one of my four 8GB memory DIMMs was bad and I had to get 32GB of new RAM and reinstall everything.
I have legitmiately purchased and have a valid serial #. This set of 4 120GB SSD drives which run in RAID 0 as my C: drive had no previous versions of CS6 or betas.
I have attempted to install twice now and both times I get the following error below. aftre the first failed install I unistalled and rebooted before attmepting the second install. I ma running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and I am installing CS6 64 bit.

I spoke to a support person at Adobe today and he asked if Photoshop was launching, which I hadn’t tried when I received the errors, so I launched it with him on the phone and it launched with no issues.
He had me restart and launch again while he hung on the line. After the system restart it launched with no issues again.

I downloaded the software using the Adobe Download assistant as my retailer simpy emailed me the product key so I have no physical media to insert into my optical drive.
I am not sure how critcal these components are that are referenced in the above errors so I am looking for guidance on:
Is my install as is with these errors stable and operational – meaning will I ever miss these components? My preference obviouly is to install and have a zero error report and a clean log.
Should I unistall and try to install again, and if so are there are Microsoft components I shouild be updating/installing first? If it is an insaller issue what is the recommended procedure for me to go about installing?
If it is an installer issue how do I get Adobe to get me media? – I ordered full media to be delivered and given the amount of money I paid for Photoshop CS6 I was surprised to get a call from the retailer indicated that they were sold out but they could give me a serial number for Photoshop CS6 Extended for no additional fee but I would need to download it. So I guess I got a ggod deal getting Extended for $730 Canadian including taxes but I would still prefer Photoshop CS6 with CDs.

Interface determination Issue in PI7.1

I am working on PI 7.1
Problem 1:
I am not able create any interface determination objects. There is a lock object created everytime I use the wizard. Unlocking the object and run the cache refresh has not helped..
I am able to create the interface determination manually after removing the lock. But now I am not able to associate a operation/interface mapping to the Interface determination . After I selected a message/service interface in the Interface determination, I clicked on the mapping option. The possible mapping was showed up on the list. But once I select one option from the list it does not show up in the interface determination. The field remains blank.
Problem 2:
I am unable to open the existing interface determination also. These interface determinations are present in the DEV environment.I have taken the system copy of the dev environment on the UAT environment.I am getting the below error when i try to open the interface determination

Hi Shilpa,
Ask your basis guys to check the SP level of JAVA components in system component information of your PI7.1 system............ask them to check for patches for your SP level of PI7.1 or upgrade to a higer SP level...........
Also try this from your PI IB webpage, go to Administration - JAVA web start administration - then click on execute link in the status window and do a reinitialization of your JAVA web start...........then close your ID and reopen your ID........then create your interface determination again in ID...........

Issue in source system creation under sap node

hi,
i am facing a strage issue here while creating a sap source system.
i have two development systems - bd1 for bi development, rd1 for r/3 development. rfc is propely maintained between both of the systems. now im creating the source sytsem under transaction rsa1 - source sytem - sap, i put in all the details and it prompts me to log in to the source system as well. it creates the system properly but the problem is that im creating it under the node sap and it goes under the node bi.
i have deleted it from there and repeated the same process again but still everytime it comes only under the node bi irrespectiv e of the thing that im creating it under sap.
this is the first time im facing this strange issue i have done the same process many time but never seen nething like this, does anyone have any idea for the same.

It is not an operational issue. Its just a display and should not have any problems.

Issue in end system

A RAISE statement in the program "CL_XMS_RETRY_HANDLER==========CP" raised the
exception
condition "NO_RFC_CALL_ALLOWED".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated.
is it related to proxy error

File data view issue in Mainframe system

Hi,
I am generating an outbound Interface file to Mainframe system.
Details about file - It contains header of 15 bytes, data records of 1930 bytes and trailer record of 11 bytes. I am putting a carriage return at the end of each record( we are doing like this for all interfaces and mainframe system guys could able to see lines)
The issue is when the file is opened by mainframe people the data is coming in 132 columns not in 80 columns. The data has to come in 80 columns so that they could able to print it( for further processing).
Options tried:
1. Sent both carriage return and lines feed for each record.
2. Sent only line feed in each record.
3. Tried OPEN DATSET statement in LEGACY MODE.
4. OPEN DATASET with TYPE 'lrecl=80, blksize=8000, recfm=FB'
5. Tried all combinations of carriage return and line feed.
Any help/suggestions on this?

Authority issues after homogeneous system copy - as/400 v5r1 - R/3 4.6C

I am trying to complete a homogeneous system copy of an R/3 system.
The source system is PRD - the target system is TST. The hardware platforms are different (both iSeries) but the kernel/pdf/OS patch levels are all identical.
The process I have follow so far is this:
1. Preprocessing of the R3PRDDATA library.
2. SAVLIB of R3PRDDATA.
3. Delete old R3TSTDATA lib on target system using QSECOFR
4. Create new R3TSTDATA using SQLUTIL as TSTOFR (TSTOFR is my user for the target system)
5. CHGOBJOWN OBJ(R3TSTDATA) OBJTYPE(*LIB) NEWOWN(TSTOFR)
6. GRTOBJAUT OBJ(R3TSTDATA) OBJTYPE(LIB) USER(SAP02) AUT(CHANGE)
7. Detach existing Journal, create new journal receiver, create new journal ...

So from this point the system will start without a problem. However whenever I try and write something to the database I get this type of error (via SM21 or ABAP dump) message:
Database error -551 at SEL access to table BTCOPTIONS
            Not authorized to object BTCOPTIONS in R3TSTDATA type *file
            Job=378721/TST02/WP02
Database error text........: "Not authorized to object SCPRACTR in R3TSTDATA
type *FILE. Job=379089/TST02/WP00"
I have also run GRTOBJAUT for the - TST02 user on the R3TSTDATA lib but still the same problem.
I'm certain the issue is related to the user on the 400 that is actually used by the work processes, and that user does not have the relevant rights to R3TSTDATA.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem will be humbly received.
