Payment Terms - Customer

Hello Experts,
I am trying to locate the payment terms field on a customer screen (FD03). I can't see it in either of the 3 screens - Address, Control Data and Payment Transactions - However i am able to see the payment terms in the table KNB1.
Is there anything i need to do to see it on the FD03 screen??
All answers would be duly rewarded with points.
Thanks,
Nandita

The field maybe hidden on the Payment transactions screen.

  • Missing Payment Term field on tcode FBR2 Customer Invoice Display

    Hi Experts,
This is a more detailed explanation on the Payment terms field issue we are encountering since last week.
I have some problems with their request that they want to show the payment terms field in the transation code FBR2 - Customer Invoice even if the Sales Area Data for Customer is not maintained but Company Code Payment Terms is maintained. I need help on the configuration on how to show the field.
What I researched is that there are 2 maintainance of Payment Terms Field:one in the Company Code and another in the Sales Area. As I read on some forums, the Payment Terms in Sales Area should be the default when using the SD Process however, the Payment Terms in the Company Code should be the default value when they use FBR2 - Customer Invoice. But thay still cannot see the payment terms field in the Accounting Document they already created.
I already checked in transaction OBC4 the Reconcilliation Account Group and the Payment Terms field is optional there and even the Posting Key 01, which is also optional.
Please help me on this. Thank you.

I did some checking on the past few posting, and I found some posting to the same account also the same tcode FBR2. However, the other one is with posting key 01 - Invoice.
The Problem occurs when we use FBR2 then the posting key is 09 - which is a special g/l posting for the account. How can I check why the "Payment Terms" field is still not displayed or cannot maintain in this transaction?

  • Automatic Payment terms without referrring Customer Master nor manual entry

    Hi,
I have a credit memo with reference to one billing document. It is automatically coming with payment terms which is not maintained in customer master nor manual entry in the document. I had checked all the configuration related settings for the document and payment terms assignment. I had debugged and checked for any user exit or function module.
I have no clue in this regard and can anybody throw some light regarding to fix the problem.
    Regards
    Sashikanth

    Hi,
Check if the billing document has payment terms. If yes, even if customer master doesnt contain payment terms the payment terms will be copied to the credit memo through standard copying control maintained in IMG, when you create a document with reference to some document this copying control gets activated.
Also check user exit RV60AFZZ if there's any code written in it to default payment terms by billing doc type.

  • FBR2 Customer Invoice - Payment Terms Field Display

    Hi Experts,
Is there a configuration where the payment terms for this transaction is always displayed even if the customer used has no sales area maintained? The reason is they don't want to maintain the sales area for customers since it is a inter-company non-trade transaction which is they post directly to customer via transaction code FBR2.
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Experts,
Is there a configuration where the payment terms field is always appearing in the FBR2 transaction code?
    Thank you so much!

  • How to control authorization about terms of payment in customer document ?

    Dear,
I need to control authorization about terms of payment in customer document. the terms of payment fields can only be maintance by some persons, others persons can not be maintance the terms of payment, although they have the FD01 or FD02 athourization.
how can we archieve this programme?

    Hi,
Like T.Nishanth says, use tcode SU21 to create your own auth.object. Mantain it with tcode PFCG.
Only an additional point. Use the enhancement SAPMF02D. In the include zxf04u01 (EXIT_SAPMF02D_001), click on 'pattern' and in the pop-up dynpro, try the field authority-check and populate it with the auth.object created before.
After, check it with FD02, XD02 and so on.
    I hope this helps you

  • Customer,vendor payment terms

    dear sap FI gurus
my client needs payment terms to be as the following:
if i paid the vendor within the first month with cash payment  he deserves discount of x%
otherwise if he pay with check he pays the all amount
    the same for the customer
and here we have payment terms as if we say  if i paid within first 15 days i deserve discount of  x% and if within 30 days i take discount of x% ,,,NOT RELATED TO CASH PAYMENT OR CHECK PAYMENT
SO,is there a way by which we can handle this issue????
P.S :they will not use the payment program
    Edited by: sh.m.kh on Mar 21, 2011 12:07 PM

    Define new payment methods:
One with payment method is cash and for customer.
Check if cash payment method is defined already.
    X% cash discount 31 days
Similarly create new payment terms for vendor without any payment method:
    15% cash discount 15 days
    X% cash discount 30 days

  • How to lock the payment terms to default terms in customer master

    Hi experts,
Kindly share with me your knowledge in locking the payment terms to the default in the customer master ?  We want the payment terms not to be manually editable at the sales order level through va01 and va02.
Appreciate any help.  Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the suggestion but we can not find an authorization specific to the payment terms.  If I disable "change" then I would not be able to edit the other fields.
We only want the payment terms to be disabled not the others.  Thanks a lot.

  • Sales order and Billing Should be Block as per Customer Payment Terms

When  credit limit exceeded to limits As per their client requirement in sales order level credit check has done and it will save , when they trying to do Delivery it is not possible to proceed. With out changing the credit master record they want to release the sales order for special permission (VKM3)
same why i suggested the client when the payment term days exceeds how to block the customer?
Manual blocking the customer for specific sales area sales order level and billing document level . When the Payment terms exceeded . Infact I have checked with my colloegues Payment terms is transactional specific mainly used for some financial reporting example ageing report  here when you look at the customer is not paid before the payment term days . you can go to VD05 block the customer.
this i have suggested , is any automically blocking the customer when the payemnt terms days exceeds ?

    Hi
Open item option in OVA8 will consider all the overdue items (irrespective of payment terms).
If the particular line item in FBL5N is falling overdue, it will be considered.
% mentioned there is OD/OS percentage, ie. overdue/outstanding %. ie. if you maintain 50% in the OVA8,  if your overdue value is 1000 USD & total outstanding is 2000 USD, so your od/os % is 50%. The moment your OD value increases from 1000 to eg 1200USd, system will set a credit block.
Generally noDays open item can be kept blank
I hope it is clear to you
    thanks

    Hi,
Through Installment Payment term you can do this,
For eg. In 5 Installment if you want to made for payment.
    1, Create the 5 Payment Terms u2013 OBB8
Z001 - Customer / Vendor / Fixed Day (15th of Every Month) / Addition Month u2013 1 / Document Date / No Discount % and Due date details
Z002 - Customer / Vendor / Fixed Day (15th of Every Month) / Addition Month u2013 2 / Document Date / No Discount % and Due date details
Z003 - Customer / Vendor / Fixed Day (15th of Every Month) / Addition Month u2013 3 / Document Date / No Discount % and Due date details
Z004 - Customer / Vendor / Fixed Day (15th of Every Month) / Addition Month u2013 4 / Document Date / No Discount % and Due date details
Z005 - Customer / Vendor / Fixed Day (15th of Every Month) / Addition Month u2013 5 / Document Date / No Discount % and Due date details
    2, Create Parental Payment Term u2013 ZINS u2013 OBB8
ZINS- Customer / Vendor / Document Date / Installment Payment
3, Make a Link to the Payment Terms to Parental Payment Term u2013 OBB9
Pmt Term     Inst     Percentage     Pmt Term
    ZINS          1     20          Z001
    ZINS          2     20          Z002
    ZINS          3     20          Z003
    ZINS          4     20          Z004
    ZINS          5     20          Z005
4, Maintain the Payment Term ZINS in Customer Master - FD02
5, Now you can do the Invoice (F-22 / FB70)
6, Check the Open Item with the Due Dates u2013 FBL5N

In sales order, system propose payment term from Sales area data.
Please explain importance of these field.

    Hi
In addition to all the suggestions given by all friends
If the invoicing is done thro SD route that is VF01 then the terms of payment maintained in sales area data will get preference
If the invoicing is done thro FI route that is FB70 then the terms of payment maintained in company code data will get preference
If the credit management is active then the terms of payement maintained in company code will take the control
For easy understanding as long as credit management is not active the terms of payment in sales area data will have the control as we are not going to touch FB70 at all mostly
As said by all others terms of payement  is taken from payer
