I have five transactions which took £11.50 from my paypal account i the past 6 weeks, but these werent authoirsed by me and they dont show up on my skype account.
Is there a contact I can escalate to?

contact PayPal directly. but don't click any link on that message (there is a possibility that it is a phishing email). proceed to the PayPal website and look for the contact us link/option.

"Do not finalize my PayPal transactions" settings

Hi,
I am having an issue with the "Do not finalize my PayPal transactions." box for Paypal transactions.
Even though I have this box checked, transactions are still completeing within Paypal, when they should not be.
The set-up from the Business Catalyst end seems very simple. Account email address, PDT token and box checked. That's all there is to it.
Therefore, it seems there must be a setting within Paypal to stop these transactions from completeing. Does any one know what needs to be done from within the account so this "Do not finalize my PayPal transactions." setting actually takes effect?
I've tried speaking to Paypal but they said "To being using authorisation and capture for Website Payment Standard, you would need to add the code "paymentaction=authorization" to your button"
However, there is no button, it's all within the BC system. Therefore, how do you actually set up "Do not finalize my PayPal transactions."?

I've checked your site and I recommend the following.
Create a 1 cent test product
"Retick" the do not finalize option in BC (I'm seeing it unticked at the moment).
Conduct a 1cent test purchase under the live gateway (not the test/sandbox version)
If you are still seeing the transaction processing on Paypal's end please reach out to our direct support once again. They might need your credentials to verify your PayPal settings because this would typically be setting that needs to be adjust on PayPal's end.

Does Paypal pmt finish processing when "testing" a form? (or is Paypal transaction only a "test")

I am "testing" a form before I embed it into my website. I have payment processing engaged.
ON the "test" form, I have filled out the form, moved to Paypal, filled out the credit card ino, and submitted for payment. Yet the RESPONSE shows test with a test ID correspoding to the Paypal transaction.
Will the paypal transaction go all the way through to Paypal? Or was that part only a test as well?

To be more clear, for the test mode, although we go through the real PayPal payment process, we skip the payment finalization step, in which we actually tell PayPal to charge the form filler and move the money to your account in non-test mode. That is, no money movement will happen if you "test" a form.

PayPal transaction completing but getting error when connecting back to site.

The domain seems to be correct.

Can I edit a form in Muse so that it will pre-populate a PayPal transaction?

I need to include a way for people to make donations on the website I am creating. I know how to use the PayPal widget to add a "donate" button, but I need more than that. I want to have a form the people fill out ON MY WEBSITE, and then when they click the "donate" button it should take them to PayPal where the info they entered is already entered into PayPal's form.
PayPal includes instructions on how to tweak the html code for a form so that the correct variables will be picked up by PayPal... however I'm not sure if there is a way to do what I need to do without creating a form from scratch in html and then importing it to Muse that way (via Object>Insert HTML...) I'd rather not create the form from scratch if I can avoid it, simply because I'm not that well versed in html code.

The problem is that this forum does OR logic for its searches. The most specific you can be is to use only the most unique word you have to use in a normal search. Otherwise, use a regular web search and specify which site you want to see results
for. E.g. in BING or Google you would use the site:technet.microsoft.com/forums query term.
This looks like a very simple case of 'bad engineering'.
If I am going to have to go out to Google in order to perform a search to get s decent result for a Microsoft database, that really doesn't speak well of Microsoft.
Sadly however, it really is the case that I get substantially better, more accurate results when using Google then when using Microsoft's TechNet directly - even when the answer is a TechNet forum or knowledgebase article.
This said, it really doesn't address the question at hand in any way whatsoever. If you direct your attention to the source question (should be recognizable as it is the big bold letters at the top listed under "Title") the answer being sought

Why does Paypal make it so difficult to track account information completely

I own a business which takes Paypal transactions, both through eBay and through my store. I am also a Quicken user and use Quicken's one step download to quickly and easily get all of my financial information in one place. Not just for Paypal. Paypal has never been consistant on the method that they have used to supply account information. Changing catagories. Changing transaction types and never supplying . unless you dig deeply, the transaction fees seperate from the gross. Sometimes I see the gross reported. Sometimes I see the net. Hidden .30 transaction charges. Spurious information regarding whether a transaction is available. All of these items should be line items and easily referenced to the transaction. As a business owner I am acutely aware of the importance of keeping accurate records and having this information supplied without a consistant method is both inconvient and time consuming. I am forced to sort by hand through a muddle of data in an attempt to balance an account that should be very simple. I have to think that there is some bad blood between Intuit and Paypal since they can't even agree on a connection protocol. Intuit products connect to your account web page and actually scrape the data. This is asinine. Discuss

(Of course I haven't tried this since the 90's. Maybe things have changed in the US and UK banking laws.)

My Paypal order was canceled due to verification issue and my Paypal account was not charged. However, the
Paypal transaction has not yet been captured by Bestbuy and it remains "pending authorization"
My payment sent to Bestbuy's Paypal account has not been declined/rejected, so it is still pending in Paypal. Paypal cannot refund me until Bestbuy declines the paypal payment. The customer service reps do not understand this process and constantly feed me canned response about automated refunds. This type of refund is instant, and even my canceled transaction a few hours prior to this one was also refunded promptly.
I have been trying to resolve this issue all day and it keeps falling
on deaf ears. Please refer this message to someone who is
knowledgeable with Paypal refunds. I need to get the refund back today
to buy the item from Bestbuy.

My web form is not working with PayPal

Only seamless gateways such as the "Pro" version of PayPal, eWay or Authorize.net will work with form payments. Gateways that have the user leave BC, such as PayPal Standard, Google Checkout or Realex, only work with the online store.

I did further testing:
1. I turned off the IPN and I still received the Error page.
2. Than I went and turned off the Payment Data Transfer, and now I got the blank page... /PaymentProcess.aspx?paypal=success. However, I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.
3. I turned on the IPN and still got the blank /PaymentProcess.aspx?paypal=success and I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.So the conclusion is that IPN has no bearing on payments made with PayPal Standard when it is used with custom forms.
4. I chaged the URL in the Return URL to go to the secure home page instea of to /PaymentProcess.aspx. and...it still sent me to the PaymentProcess.aspx and I still got the paypal transaction ID attached to the orders.
5. I made the purchase using shoping cart to ensure it works too and this time I even received the receipt on the /PaymentProcess.aspx. The Ref# and Auth Code were "Not Applicable" but it still worked and it was recorded in the orders with the paypal transaction ID
So my conclusions are:
1. IPN has no bearing on PayPal payments made from the custom web form
2. Payment Data Transfer being on sends to the pafe that can't be processesd and it renders Error message
3. Return URL always send you to the PaymentProcess/aspx regardless what secure url you put in there.
4. Transcation ID is always passed to the orders as long as it can connect to PayPal. I guess ur will do it as long as the Payment Gateway has the proper informration in there.
5. It works the same from the custom web form and from checkout form.
I hope this sheds some light and serves some purpose to whoever is completely confused by this as I am.

Hi, I used to be able to use Paypal to pay for iPhone apps in the app store. Recently, when I try to buy or download a free app, I get an error message that says Paypal is not supported on my iPhone. I also have the Paypal app downloaded on my phone to use it for non-app store personal transactions I can use Paypal successfully for other transactions such as Amazon, etc. If it matters, the change occurred on my iPhone because I disputed a Paypal transaction for the Apple Store, and when the situation was being resolved i received a message (email maybe? I forget) asking me if I wanted to stop using that vendor. I misunderstood the question, and I chose "Yes," but did not realize it would mean Paypal was removed from my iPhone. Menel, thank you, you got me headed on the road to fix this. To solve the "Paypal is not supported on this iPhone" problem, do Not go to apple.com, it will not help you. To fix the "Paypal not supported" problem: Open iTunes on a computer (Not on your iPhone) > Store > View my account (and notice the email address next to it, is it correct?, it doesn't matter, go to the next step) > Enter your iTunes password > Payment type,click "edit" > (now look at the email address associated with the Paypal icon, is it correct?, it doesn't matter, go on to the next step) > click the Paypal icon (it will take you to Paypal website) > log into Paypal > click Agree and Continue > make sure it says "You have successfully created a billing agreement." Now go to your iPhone and download an app to make sure everything works correctly again. Yeah!!
If you have more than one Paypal account, and you want to use a different Paypal account than the one associated with the email address that appears as you go through these steps, when you get to the step > Payment type, click "edit" > (now look at the email address associated with the Paypal icon, is it correct?), IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT PAYPAL ACCOUNT > click "To choose a different account click here" (It will take you to the Paypal website) > change the email address listed to the address that is associated with the Paypal account you prefer to use, then log into Paypal using the password for that updated account address > click Agree and Continue > make sure it says "You have successfully created a billing agreement." Now go to your iPhone and download an app to make sure everything works properly again.

Missing transactions in outgoing payments / incoming payments

Hello Experts,
My customer operated the year transfer process and created a new DB. From that point , he faces a problem with the outgoing payments and incoming payment forms.
In the new DB there are missing transactions in the forms mentioned above. We tried to analyze it and we got to the conclusion that the transactions who created by journal entry whose type is JE -30, has transfered to the new DB, but these transactions are not displayed in the outgoing payments and incoming payment forms.
This issue making a big problem with payments because you don't know if any transactions are missing.
Does anybody have an idea hoe to solve it ?
