PC Suite and Latest Widcomm Software

I have a nice new Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with the lastest Widcomm Bluetooth software on it. When I try and run the PC Suite Bluetooth paring, the widcomm stuff leaps in trying to make the paring easy, which it does, but then PC Suite gets upset and says it cant pair, even though the phone has paired. PC Suite wants to see the response to its pairing code, but widcomm gets there first. Is there any way I can tell PC Suite that the phone is paired, and to just get on with it?

I believe the below to have more to do with the latest incarnation of PC Suite.
I too recently upgraded to PC Suite 7.0.8.2 on Win Xp SP2. However, my laptop is an older Dell running WIDCOMM drivers version 3.0.1.804.
What I have noticed is that the phone (6120 for me) MUST have Bluetooth visibility switched on "Shown to All" in order for the new version of PC Suite to see it. EVEN after it has been paired with both laptop and PC Suite. Otherwise it produces the same issues you mention below.
In the previous version, once the phone had been paired I could switch off bluetooth discoverability and it would just continue to work.
I haven't checked yet whether or not it has to do with whether the laptop has gone into hibernation in the meantime or not.
How do we complain to Nokia about this.

I can see BAM node under connections node but i do not know how should i add the bam server connection.

-should i install the bam server seperately or it come with ORACLE SOA suite?

Nokia PC Suite and Passworddragon Software

I am running Windows 7 Pro with the latest updates. I was using Nokia PC Suite v3.8.48 when I got a notice of an available update to v7.1.60.0. I installed that update forgetting that I had a past conflict with a program called passworddragon. Passworddragon utilizes Java and has a conflict with Nokia software. I contacted the makers of Passworddragon and was told to contact Nokia since they are the ones that are changing the registry settings upon installation.
I really don't care who's fault it is. All I know is that I can no longer access my passwords and I need to rectify the problem fast. Using the system restore did not resolve the issue so that option is off the table.
Please...Please...Please, can someone assist me in resolving this issue?

Bit confusing .. v3.8.48 is for the Nokia Suite whereas v7.1.60.0 ( If I remember it correct, this too is an earlier version) is for the Nokia PC Suite. Surprising that you got Update notification for Nokia PC Suite while using Nokia Suite.
BTW, were you able to use passworddragon with Nokia Suite (v3.8.48) ? If yes, un-install Nokia PC Suite that you might have installed and if required re-install the Nokia Suite and see if the problem gets resolved..

Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference?

I have tried the printer with my laptop (not updated) and everything is fine. It's just the beautiful 27" Imac that can no longer print.

Might be a corrupted printer preference file ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Preferences
Click Go
Move the com.apple.PrinterPrefs.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac, restart the printer...

My computer running Windows 8.1 no longer recognizes my 7th Generation Ipod Nano. I have removed and reinstalled the latest ITunes software and it still doesn't recognize my Ipod.

I previously installed my Ipod Nano 7th generation in Itunes, Windows 8.1. When I have recently connected, Itunes does not recognize it. I removed and reinstalled the latest Itunes software, but no success. Message says that Itunes sees an Ipod is connected, but does not recognize it. The USB connection is working fine, as I recharged the Ipod without problem.

I installed the latest iTunes software on my Dell Windows 7 PC. Durring installation, when it got to the "Starting Services" part, I got an error message:
iTunes
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Devices) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services.
Abort Retry Ignore
"Ignore" was highlighted.
I tried "Retry" but same message kept coming up, so I tried "Ignore"
Install completed. But when I tried to start iTunes, I got message:
"iTunes.exe
The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Followed by the message:
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)."
I have tried the install procedure (after uninstalling iTunes) several times with the same results. Where do I get the file MSVCR80.dll? How do I get past this?

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

If you have older versions of excel and word that previously ran under the Rosetta emulator (allows PowerPC code to run on Intel system), they will no longer work with Lion.
You can use the Apple programs Pages and Numbers to access the files. They can be bought and downloaded from the App store. NeoOffice is available at http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php which has Lion support. OpenOffice doesn't talk to Lion support, it's at http://www.openoffice.org/
