PC Suite can't find a bluetooth device in my lapto...

hai,
i bought a new laptop a couple of days ago .. (HP Pavilion dv6-3177ee)
it comes with bluetooth version 3.
i installed ovi suite and pc suite .. but when i try to connect my phone via bluetooth , it gives me the next massege :
"Bluetooth is turned off or unavailable on your computer . Turn on Bluetooth or or refer to help ..."
I checked the bluetooth .. and its ON .. I tryed to send a file via blutooth to my phone and is's sent.
the blutooth device name is :
Ralink/Motorola BC4 Bluetooth 3.0 + HS Adapter
and I have the latest driver for it...
can anyone help please...

I would try to go with the Windows stack as it seems to work according to the device manager.
So get rid of the Motorola stack now.
Then try to get the thing to work in Windows only.
Forget the Ovi Suite or PC-Suite too. When you have everything up and running in Windows, then try to figure out the Ovi Suite problem.
If you don't get the phone paired with the Windows stack (or with the Motorola stack even worse), then you are out of options.
Get a small 2.1+EDR Bluetooth dongle from a known manufacturer and go with that one. A-Link is one that is supported by "everybody" for example.
EDIT AGAIN: To me it looks like your Motorola stack is not supported by Nokia. As we all know the Nokia customer support sucks a**, so you won't get a sollution from them EVER.
There will probably be a Windows update fixing the problem from Microsoft, but that will take time too. You might want to tell your problem to Microsoft. I'm sure they are interested because of  your most modern system.

I've contacted with HP customer service .. they said as long as I can send and recieve files via my bluetooth .. then it's a (Nokia PC Suite)'s problem!!!
    any suggestions?

this is the answer to your issue....
the problem is not the Nokia PC Suite.... it is HP that is to blame for adding such slopy hardware that is built not to be usable by other external software.. i have a HP Probook 4530s and it uses the same but newer version, bluetooth hardware Realtek Motorola BC8 Bluetooth 3.0+HS Adapter that has to use motorola software...this motorola software is able to connect to my phone via bluetooth and acts like a built-in nokia pc suite / Windows bluetooth driver... not allowing the actual nokia pc suite access to the bluetooth hardware... in short nokia pc suite is Incompatibile with Ralink / Realtek Motorola BC4 / BC8 Bluetooth 3.0+HS Adapter... so if you have this problem ask HP to come up with new software that works on the motorola hardware that is compatible with nokia PC suite... this is the problem with products that have parts built by other companies.. (Incompatibility)
thats why i like Apple and nokia they dont out source other brands to make parts... but recently nokia ran to microsoft for the lumia windows cause there symbian software was loseing against ios and android..

  • Blackberry Device Manager can't find 9320 Bluetooth device (even Bluetooth is switched on and set to Discoverable)

I want to sync my Blackberry 9320 via Bluetooth to a Windows 7 Professional machine using a Bluetooth adapter. Syncing using USB cable works fine.
I can Bluetooth pair with the 9320 and also send / receive files to /from the Windows 7 machine. Fantastic !
HOWEVER, Blackberry Device Manager can not find the 9320 Bluetooth device (even Bluetooth is switched on and set to Discoverable) - see screen shots below.
By the way I have already tried (amongst other things) “Manually Install RIM Virtual Serial Ports in Microsoft® Windows® 7” on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK2n5dHxGHI  Unfortunately, this does now work - the drivers do load up OK and remove the warning signs when view in Windows Device Manager, but Blackberry Device Manager still can't see my 9320.
    Please help !

I have the exact same problem with my 9360. I have also tried all the fixes I could find on the Internet with no luck. I have posted a request as well. I will let you know if I find a solution. What gets me though is that this appears to be a long standing issue with no obvious fix! Best of luck.

  • I can't find my Bluetooth device

I told my iPhone to forget a Bluetooth device thinking it would still pick it up and I could reconnect later but now none of my I devices will pick up the bluetooth speaker? Anyone now a solution

Don't you have to also reset the other Bluetooth device also... usually by holding down the Bluetooth button on the speaker.  Thta's what I have  to do on my Bose until its starts blinking.
    Hope it helps

Its nothing to do with OVI it seems.. The problem seems to be with the Laptop.. To confirm.. Un-install OVI Suite and try.. For transferring thru' Bluetooth, OVI Suite is not required..

They're not meant to communicate with each other that way. The bluetooth is largely meant for keyboards or  headphones.

  • Can't find my bluetooth buddy with my Nokia C3-01

Can't  seem to find my bluetooth device (supertooth - buddy)
    Bluetooth was ON + visible
The buddy can't find my nokia in automatic-mode and my nokia can't find the buddy (when buddy is ON)
Does somebody know what I can do? Or is it some small function that I forgot to turn on?

    Hi Marthe1985,
In this instance I would suggest a soft reset of your phone. To do this if you type *#7780# on your phone this will start the reset.
Although this will not remove any contact details, pictures etc it is still advised you back up your phone first.
Let me know if this helps

  • My Windows XP AirPort util and Bonjour can't find any wireless device

I have both macbook and a PC laptop.
I just started using my TimeCapsula and all features (Internet gateway, access to the USB printer and the external harddisk) are visible and working fine when using my macbook.
My PC wireless card seems to be working fine too and I can access the Internet using the Airport gateway.
My problem is that Airport Util and Bonjour on my PC "can't find any wireless devices" (even though It is clearly working fine) and therefore don't detect/mount the external drive or the Printer.
    Thanks!

How do your Extreme and Express connect to one another? Wired Ethernet between the two, or wirelessly?
Try unplugging the Express. Does that change anything?
Wireless interference could cause the symptoms you're describing. Even though you did nothing to your wireless network, the presence of other wireless networks or introduction of nearby devices will bring interference where there was none before.
AirPort and Bluetooth: Potential sources of interference for wireless devices and networks
Try changing wireless channels; use "automatic" unless you have reason to use a specified channel. Try checking "interference robustness". Altering these settings may help, but they could make things worse.
If you are unable to configure a device over Airport, or changing a setting leaves you unable to configure it wirelessly, connect its Ethernet port to your computer's Ethernet port and Airport Utility should find it.
As a last resort, try a "hard reset" followed by re-configuring the Extreme, Express, or both. Start by removing your Express from the network. Re-configure the Extreme and see if that fixes things. If it does, add the Express to your network and re-configure it as well.
    AirPort troubleshooting guide
I open airport utility ... can not locate any of my wireless devises, airport extreme base,, airport express, apple tv, wifi printer.
AirPort Utility will only detect Apple AirPort base stations (Extreme, Express, Time Capsule) for purposes of configuring them. It is not designed to detect or configure other wireless devices like your printer.

  • RT: Remote desktop says "can't find a suitable device for drive C"

    Hello,
there is a french post on exactly the same topic, but I can't apply the solution given there.
My problem is the following: I have a remote desktop prepared to work as RT target. It has been checked for compatibility, the hard drive has been formatted in FAT32 format, it has been found by my host and has been assigned a static ip address. I have installed the software I need ( LabView 9.0 RT) using MAX. Now, when I try to boot it with the option "boot using software installed into the hard drive", all I get is the message
"Can't find a suitable device for drive C"
I have reseted the BIOS, have tried formatting the hard drive in the other format, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, tried to start the target pc without the usb stick, but nothing seems to work.
Do you have any ideas about what is going wrong?
    Thank you,
    Samuel

So you've got a IDE (and not SATA) hard drive? That should be supported anyway.
That would only confirm my experience... it's hard to find hardware compatible with LV RT. Before buying you cannot know if it's compatible. Once you have it the evaluation tool might tell you it's supported but still it might not work. I tried several motherboards in the last years, most of them did not work.
Your best bet might be to use relatively old hardware.

  • Can't find a bootable device after trying to install Windows 7 in bootcamp

I've been trying to install Windows 7, 64 bit. Haven't managed yet due to problem that I've just posted about in a separate thread. Now, though, when I switch on it says 'can't find a bootable device'. If I switch on whilst holding down the Option key, the (OSx) internal hard drive is there and I can boot up. But I don't want to have to do that every time... Tried resetting the PRAM as advised, made no difference.

Look at Apple () -->system preferences -->*Startup Disk*
    hope this helps
