PC SUITE: Nokia Application Installer Problem (msx...

I have Windows XP SP2 installed in my PC e i cant't install program in my Nokia 7250i. I tried to install the olds version of PC Suite but I have the same problem.
The problem is that same applications work correctly, as File Manager, Nokia music Manager, but when I launch Nokia Application Installer I have a fatal error,
AppName: applicationinstaller.exe AppVer: 6.82.96.4 ModName: msxml3.dll
ModVer: 8.70.1113.0 Offset: 0001f9e1
I made everithing possible, I installed more and more time PC Suite, I used the Nokia PC Suite Cleaner, I also cleaned manually every key in the regedit but no solution.
I can't apply a workaround (install application directly via phone) because my phone don't support symbian program (e.g. FX Explorer) and I can't re-install the PC (is a Company PC).

I don't know why this microsoft's msxml3 parser cause problems....
What older versions of PC Suite you have tried to use ?
And does the same problem happen also with applications (start from C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 6\ folder):

I've read a few problems similar to mien in the forums; however, none had end up with a solution, or not that I know of. Also I know I am able to install sis files just by using the Nokia Phone Browser and opening the sis file there. However, this did not work for me as well, the same pop-up "Nokia Application Installer has encountered..." pops up!
I was just wondering if there is an easier way to install the sis and jar files, without having to go through fixing this problem.

Of course there is! If you have a bluetooth adapter you can send the .sis (.jar) files from your PC to your phone.

Nokia Applications Installer keeps crashing!

I recently downloaded the Nokia PC Suite for my Nokia 6820.
It's working great with two big exceptions: one being that the Applications Installer keeps crashing.
I've tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it, and repairing it to no avail.
Any suggestions?
(The other problem im having is with the software updater which cant seem to find my phone, despite the fact that Nokia PC Suite finds it with out any problems. -im guessing this is because my model isnt one of the models that can make use of this program?)

PC Suite 6.83 Installation Problem!!!!

Hi Everyone,
I have a nokia PC Suite 6.1 for my nokia 6230. I want to install nokia PC Suite 6.83 so i uninstalled PC Suite 6.1 and Downloaded PC Suite Cleaner and Deleted its related file!
Now, I started the installation of nokia PC Suite 6.83 for my windows XP sp2 but I already waited 3 hours but it is still 0%!!!
What is the problem? Why is it the installation is not progressing??

Maybe some protection application(s) prevent PC Suite installation.
Could you try this:
1. Disable Internet connection (e.g. turn off modem or unplug network cable)
2. Turn off your antivirus program (and/or other protection applications)
3. Run PC Suite installation
4. Turn on your antivirus program
5. Enable Internet connection again.

Previously it had been OK and I don't know when this problem started to appear because I don't use this application often.
mob: Nokia 6300 with latest available firmware 7.21
PC Suite: 7.1.50.2 (latest)
OS: Windows 7 Prof. 32 bit
Bluetooth connection
Other PC Suite applications run well.
I have second Win 7 installation (64 bit) (for tests) and on this it runs well.
I tried PC Suite uninstall and install again and it didn't help.
Any help appreciated.

Application installation problem

I have nokia 5130 and getting problem in installing new applications on it. If i try to download a new app, it downloads successfully but says "invalid application". Please help me.

Does this problem happen for every app? Have you tried downloading the app(s) again, or looked for another download site? Can you post a link to one of the programs?

Nokia N8 Installation problem

The error that I get is "Unable to install application. Error occurred. Internal error: Jsr plugin com.nokia.mj.impl.chapi.core.utils.ServiceProviderInstaller cancelled installatoin." whenever I try installing a jar and jad file. I am using Nokia N8-00 of Middle East & Africa variant with Symbian Anna Version 024.001 I have reinstalled the software several times but still I am not successful in installing jar and jad files even if I am downloading jad or jar files from Ovi Store. I am unable to install basic applications such as Mxit or Ebuddy.
Any help will be appreciated.

HELP needed! N97 Application Installation Problem.

Alright, here's my problem. My friend sent me a .sis program to install in my phone today. When I tried installing the program, it somehow occupied all my available memory in my phone memory (which is about 60MB before I attempt to install the application) and while not able to complete its installation. I suspect that it was a virus program or some sort because when I tried finding for the files in the phone memory through my computer, I failed to find any file which has that amount of size. My computer only shows that a total of 19MB files are contained in the phone memory but somehow I don't even have a single KB of space available in it. (it's hidden somewhere or some settings are altered i guess)
Please do help me in this issue. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I've tried Y-browser and Xplorer but it seems that no hidden files is of that size. And about the anti-virus, can I have the specific name for the program?
It would really do me a great favor if you can tell me where does all the temporary installation files are located when installation runs its progress on the phone.
I've considered hard resetting but I'm unsure of the effect after doing so. Will it wipe out all my data and settings in both phone and mass memory (C: and D?

Application Installer Problem

I have created an application under Labview 8.2 and am now trying to create an installation which will enable me to run this executable on a target computer. I have specified Labview Runtime Engine 8.2 but when I try to run it on the taget pc the installer initializes but then returns with the error message "Labview 8.2".
Another question is that I have a VISA Serial Subvi in the application will this be defined under NI VISA Runtime 4.0.

Did you include the serial port drivers as part of the build?
You have to select (include) "VISA support" before creating the executable.
In other words, when you build the installer, go to the additional installer page and select NI-VISA Run-time as a minimum. You can also include MAX and NI-VISA Configuration Support

Application Installation Problem: Windows 7

Hi all,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit installed and booted via bootcamp.
I have an installation file which, when I double click, presents me with the following error:
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need and x86 or x64 version of the program, and then contact the software publisher"
I have checked the file on a PC with the same Windows 7 installation and it works fine.
I haven't encountered this problem before and wondered whether it could be a boot camp specific error?

If your system is updated, then ability to install should be fine. But run sfc just to check.
And for malware/AV I would definitely recommend MSSE unless you feel good that what you use is W7 compatible and working.

there are many posts here about the mpt driver issue. some might help you, some might not. its up to your pc whether it will accept the mpt driver or not. try connecting the phone to a pc/laptop using windows xp to check its not the devices problem.

Nokia Music installation problem

Hi there,
I just got 5800 comes with music and after installing the Nokia Music program, it just doesn't open. Even when I go to log in online, it can see that the computer has the program but it doesn't open, the hourglass comes up for a few seconds then disappears and nothing happens.
I really want to use my free music, so this is driving me nuts!!!

You should try to re-install the program, and try again. For instructions on how to uninstall in both XP and Vista, see this FAQ.
You should also remove the following folders before downloading the software again.
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Music.
Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Nokia\Nokia Music
Please note that you will need to have hidden files and folders visible to be able to navigate to this location.
Select Start > Run, type control folders, and press Enter. Select View > Show hidden files and folders and Unselect Hide protected operating system files/folders and Hide extensions for known file types.

MDT 2012 - Application installation Problem

I have a application called RES (RES Automation manager agent), should install after the OS deployment.
But this is not happening.
How can i troubleshoot this?
Is there are any logs to check the reason for not installing the package.
Please suggest some fix.

You pprobably need to add the silent switch.
Try with msiexec.exe /i xxxx.msi /qn
If that does not help you can try to log the msi installation by adding /l*v "logfile.log" , this will create a log file over the msi installation.

When I execute the command "Component->Install" in E-console for this
application (after having first done a "Load Distribution"), Forte creates a
new directory called "ABCDAPP1" in the "appdist" directory, which only
contains an empy "cl0" directory.
In the "userapp" directory of the target node (which is the same node), both
directories appear. The "ABCDAPPL" directory only contains a file called
"apclscmp.fso" in the "cl0" directory. The "ABCDAPP1" directory only
contains an empy "cl0" directory.
Needless to say, starting the application using E-console generates an
error. There are no executables or image repositories in the "userapp"
directory.
Has any seen this behaviour? And more importantly, does any one know of a
fix?

Application installer not working with PC Suit App...

I have a Nokia E60 and Windows XP SP2. After installing PC Suite 6.82.96.4 I try to open the App. installer but it opens and closes inmediately (blinks) but do not work. I try to do the installation through the File manager, and I can see and open the Nokia browser, phone memory etc, but whenever I try to install, the following message is shown Nokia Application Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Detail is: Error signature AppName: applicationinstaller.exe AppVer: 6.82.96.4 ModName: unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 90909090 It also shows that there is an error report that I cannot find C:\DOCUME~1\rodrigm3\LOCALS~1\Temp\9e61_appcompat.txt Could you please help me to fix the problem? thanks a lot

Regarding my problem, I attach the log file generated in the error report in case it can help to the Nokia support (or anybody able to help...) It should have to be a PC config problem, as I am totally able to install application with the same version of PC Suite in other colleagues PCs Thanks for your support....
