Transaction Code OOHAP_CAT_GROUP
Trough this transaction the Category Group level customizations can be done.
Transaction Code OOHAP_SETTINGS_PA
The appraisal process has to be enabled.
Transaction Code OOHAP_VALUE_TYPE
Through this transaction code rating scale configuration has to be done. Quality, Quantity rating scales can be created.
Transaction Code OOHAP_CATEGORY
Category level customizations can be done using this transaction code. The same customizations can be done using the transaction code PHAP_CATALOG.

Basic customizations related to the following areas have to be done using this transaction code.
1.     Column The columns appearing in the appraisal document
2.     Value Class Currency, Dates and etc.
3.     Role Manager, Higher Manager and etc.
4.     Enhancements
5.     Sub status
6.     Workflow related customizations

This is the master transaction through which the templates are set. Based on templates the appraisal documents are created.

Hi Nayani,
The Message type is HRMD_A for HCM to HCM with basic types HRMD_A01 to HRMD_A07(HRMD_A07 is the latest).
From HCM to Non Hr/CRM/SRM is HRMD_ABA.

SAP Personnel Development - Qualification Inheritance

In implementing our Personnel Development module, we have qualifications related to tasks. Tasks are related to an org unit, job, or position. When running report for qualification gaps, the report generated did not consider the qualification inheritance from Task to org unit, and position thus causing a big qualification deficit. What is needed to allow the deficit report to take into consideration qualifications related to tasks which are related to positions or org units...

what relationship (i.e. subtype) have you created between Q and T? Same question for T to O ans S?
I've used the same set-up (Q to T and T to S or O) before and had no issues with the 'deficit' - report? I'm 100% sure that we didn't change the report so it seems it must be something else.

HR-Personnel Development-Proficiency Level Using Info Type:24

Hi !
I am working on Personnel Development of HR Module on SAP 4.70 .
I am Developing an Z Report in which I wish to display service Order with all the details & Employee assigned within it .
I am unable to display employee with their Proficiency level.
Proficiency level of employee is maintained via Transaction 'PA30' &
Info Type 24 .
Can anybody tell me how can I fetch the Proficiency Level of Person (PERNR Field ) .
Is there any Function Module is there OR It's storing in any table?

Hello Sachin,
Employee proficiency is store in IT 0024, which is table PA0024 technically. To read this you can do select statement on table PA0024 or using function module HR_READ_INFOTYPE

I am getting the Error as "Returned Content XMl is Empty" in SAP Jco Config

I am facing the problem in SAP Jco Config in SAP_JCo_Interface Action,
while searching the BAPI (I am Using search Pattern as BAPI*) I am getting the error like following
"Returned Content XMl is Empty".
this URL refer the same problem ... Re: Reg : JCOProxy error:null
But I am able to connect the SAP R/3 system successfully .. because from the Existing Transaction the BAPI is called successfully.

Deploy Personnel Development EHP4 in ESS/MSS EHP5

Dear Experts,
We have a customer that is using Personnel Development Module in EHP4 - SAP Netweaver Portal.
Recently, they have decided to implement ESS/MSS in EHP5 using Netweaver Business Client (NWBC).
Since the ESS/MSS will be deployed in NWBC which is portal agnostic, I wonder if it is possible to deploy an access to the personnel development model in EHP4 from this platform? Or is it necessary to have a separate access to SAP Portal to enter in the Personnel Development Model?
Can you help us regarding this issue?

CAREER PLANNING IN PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT

Hello Everyone,
1)In career planning, u create a career using the following path,
HUMAN RESOURCES -> PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT-> PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT -> SETTINGS -> CURRENT SETTINGS -> EDIT CAREERS.
Here in EDIT CAREERS i have created a new career ,e.g. "SAP career", which can be included in the CAREER PLANNING as one of the planning criteria that is additional career. I have included potential, preferences, qualifications,designations and additional careers as my planning criteria.
Is this the career() for which we plan an object(in my case PERSON) or do we plan the person to just any position or job created..???
2) Also in CAREER PLANNING, we can see the person's(object) qualifications, potentials, preferences, careers, dislikes and designations.
Under designation, jobs and positions appear.
Are these the job and position the object(Person) is holding before Career planning is done or is he going to hold them after career planning is done???
In that case what is the use of additional careers??

There will be multiple places that you might need to update the program. But I would suggest that you should try with updating the evaluation path QUALDATA with your new Z object.

MSS: Personnel Development

i'm having some doubts here. I have created a new FPM based view using webdynpro which extends the standard 'Personnel Development' application. When i deploy my new application, all works fine. I get the correct result. The problem is when i create the webdynpro iview for my application. Somehow or rather, i'm getting the error message below when i tried to 'preview' my webdynpro iview:-

Custom FPM Application with one perspective and two FPM Views (a. Team Viewer b. Custom FPM View for my webdynpro applicaiton)

For the base configuration ID of custom webdynpro app, which pcd path should I give? Is it the custom FPM application with two views in it OR path to the FPM application with a single view which is my webdynpro component

Personnel Development [APPAISALS}

PLEASE SUGGEST THE STEPS INVOLVED IN CONFIGURING PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT; SPECIALLY PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS. I HAVE ALREADY CREATED A QUALIFICATION CATALOGUE AND AN APPRAISAL CATALOGUE BUT WHEN I RUN 'APPCREATE' IT ONLY SHOWS ONE LINE IN THE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SCREEN. WHERE ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS I HAD CREATED? THEY ARE AVAILABLE IN PROFILE DISPLAY (PPPD) BUT NOT IN "APPCREATE". I NEED TO RATE THE EMPLOYEE IN APPRAISAL ON THE BASIS OF THESE QUALIFICATIONS. Team= Personnel Developent= Employee Search

Dear Experts.
I have the following question:
What is the cause for that in the Manager Self Service =>Team=>Personnel Developent=>Employee Search
the portal not update(display) the information of the employee Direct Reports.?
I made the following test:
1) Chief with personnel number 10 assign in the infotype 0105 subtype 001 the user chief_mss and display the employee.
2) Deallocate(delete) the register of the infotype 0105 subtype 001 the user chief_mss for the personnel number 10 and assign this user to the personnel number 20 that also is chief and have other employees in his responsability.
However the system follow showing the same employees of the chief 10.
I check the t.code PPEM - for know that employee have a chief in responsability.
Anyone have an idea of What is the cause of this issue?

'Employee Search' iView uses a caching functionality to store the
data that was retrieved from Organizational Management.
The validity of the cached data can be define via iView property 'Cache
Lifetime'. The default value is '1' that means that the data is valid
for one day (to improve the iView performance).
If you want to have a different behaviour, you could change this caching
parameter (e.g. set it to -1 to disable the caching at all).
