PDF (Designer7) forms not shown in Acrobat 6 or 5

I have created a simple PDF form with Designer 7, look at:
http://www2.fht-esslingen.de/info/11.pdf
This form can only be shown on Windows PC with Acrobat 7 Prof. not in Adobe Reader 7 or Acrobat 6 or 5.
Can anybody explain me who to create a form with Adobe Designer 7 and to use this form with Adobe Acrobat 5, 6 and Adobe Reader 7? Designer 7 is a good tool to create forms, but if nobody can read it, expect Adobe 7 Prof., than it is worthless. I tried to convert this Designer 7 form in Acrobat 7 Prof. into PDF-version 1.4, but these doesn´t work. I can´t find way to do this. Has anybody a workaround for my problem?
Best regards
Klaus

I can open your form in Acrobat 6.0 , Acrobat 7.0.5 and Reader 7 without any problem. I don't have Acrobat 5 so I don't can't tell if it can be opened in Acrobat 5.

  • How do I send a PDF fillable form from Adobe Reader Acrobat?

    I just installed Adobe Reader in my iPad to send a fillable form but as I sent it out the form is received blank by the recipient.  How do I save the PDF fillable form and send it out with the filled out information.  I am able to save it in Acrobat but for some reason I send the form but the recipient receives it blank.  What can I do?  Thank you for your help.

    Your recipient needs to use Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to reliably view a filled form. Chances are they are using a third-party, substandard PDF reader like Apple Preview. Adobe Reader is a free download; if necessary, you could provide them a link from the Adobe website.

  • Forms not shown correctly on ipad

    I have edited a form and made changes , it is absolutly fine under windows and easily filled out it is posted on workspaces too but people with ipad,iphone have problem first of all the form changes I made is not shown on theirs and they cannot fill it out why?

    Application is displayed correctly in Mozilaa Firefox even in 1024*768 resolution.
    But problem is seen in IE.
    So I think, code is not sensitive to resolution. But some problem with Flex in IE in this resolution.

  • PDF Printer will not print in Acrobat 7.0 Professsional

    After installing my Adobe Creative Suite 2 on my Windows Vista Home Premium System, all of my Adobe Programs worked fine. Recently I am unable to Print to PDF or create a PDF from Microsoft Office Document.
    I have applied all the suggested solutions that I can find on Adobe Support sites and Microsoft sites. I read that Acrobat 7.0 is not supported under Windows Vista. It worked initially after installing but then for some unknown reason it does not. Perhaps an automatic update changed something. I have uninstalled the Creative Suite2 and re-installed the Suite several times to no avail. I have all the latest updates installed from Windows Vista and from Adobe for all my Adobe Programs.
    Would appreciate any suggestions other than purchasing Acrobat 8.0 or going back to Windows XP.

    The problem is VISTA and AA7. Apparently some have succeeded in getting AA7 to work on VISTA, but only AA8.1.2 is certified for VISTA.

  • PDF Interactive Forms Not Saving Data in Preview

    Interactive PDF forms opened in Preview doesn't seem to save data you fill in when you save the document. Acrobat seems to save and retain the document without a problem. Anyone know what's going on?

    Adobe wants to keep you using only Adobe software so they have designed in incompatibilities with the OS. I don't know of any other PDF tool that can do fill-in forms. If you want to use fill-in forms, you'll have to print it using CUPS-PDF (I haven't tried this with Leopard yet). You could also use Skim to turn any PDF into a fill-in form.

  • I have an acrobat pro subscription but pdf pack is not subscribed on acrobat reader for ios

    Why does pdf pack not appear as subscribed on ios when I thought this was included in the acrobat pro subscription?

    Hi jimbob567,
    Adobe PDF Pack definitely is part of your Acrobat Pro subscription. What happens when you sign out, and then sign back in to Reader? (It can take a little while for your subscription to process; how long ago did you sign up?)
    Please let us know how it goes.

  • PCR Forms not shown in MSS

    Hi All,
    We are on ESS webdynpro 600, EP 7.0, ECC 6.0 and trying to implement the PCRs (standard) in MSS.
    As per [this documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/02/560f41ca73d349e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm], we have configured the ADS with J2EE stack of Portal and tested the same from Portal using webservice navigator - it is successfull.
    However, it is giving the same error message as shown below :
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.PDFDocumentCreationException
    The above error message is same for other E-recruitment applications which uses the Adobe forms.
    P.S : We have not done necessary configuration settings in ECC backend for connecting ECC ABAP system to ADS and Is it necessary to do this ? since, the Adobe forms are based on Java WD and will run on Webdynpro runtime of J2EE stack.
    When we run the report (FP_TEST_00) in backend, it gives the error message "http SOAP exception error" message - which reveals that the connection to ADS is not successfull. We have raised an OSS note with SAP and SAP has told that - since we are on X86 hardware platform where our ECC server is installed.
    Pls shade some light - how to run this PCR forms succesffully !!! I am I missing any steps ?
    Awaiting for your valuable inputs in advance.
    Regards,
    Anil Kumar.

    Hi Anil,
    It will be sufficient if you configure ADS on J2EE server only for Portal apps, no need for doing settings for ABAP .
    From the error it seems ADS is not working properly on the J2EE engine, try configuring & testing ADS using the guide below:

    Hope this helps!!

  • Form not working in Acrobat 6 Standard?

    I created a dynamic XML form with LiveCycle and for some reason, some users can't open it if they still have Acrobat 6 Standard. I can't understand why they can't open it and have told them for now to upgrade their readers and use it in the reader. Can anyone help? Everyone using Acrobat 8 Standard and all of the most current versions of reader can use it just fine.

    Hi,
    Acrobat 6 and Designer 6 only support the older version of forms based on XFA 2.0. Details here. They should upgrade.
    Hope this helps,
    Marc.

  • Print dialog not shown on Acrobat reader 11 and Mac OS X 10.9.2

    No matter what document I open, print dialog never appear and I cannot print any document.
    I tried also to install older version of acroread but still no luck.
    I found also this settings tab quite strange like something is missing.
    Can anyone help me?

    I have the same problem.
    It is not a matter of 'error message' nor does it have anything to do with the link provided. That link is all about scanning initiatives from the Mac. The question here is about doing the scanning initiative from the scanner control panel. That is called 'Scan to computer'.
    Somehow the Mac has to be put in a receiving mode for that (makes sense). HP only provides the neccessary info for Windows, because 'This step is not necessary for Mac operating systems'. See http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/learnUseDisp lay/?sp4ts.oid=5304875&spf_p.tpst=psiContentDisplay&spf_p.prp_psiContentDisplay= wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03767419-7%257CdocLocale%253Den_US&ja vax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vi gnette.cachetoken
    Seems the Mac is in receiving mode by default. But that is not the case. Because the printer says it sees no available computers.
    So how can the Mac be put in receiving mode manually ? Or what should happen to make it in receiving mode by default ?

  • Cover image is not shown in explorer

    Hi guys, I've already got a new lap which runs W7 ultimate (x64) and Adobe Reader X 10.1.3 but the cover image (the first page) of PDF fiels is not shown in Window's Explorer. Any hints?.
    Thanks in advance,

    try to flush the image.
       image.flush():
       g.drawImage(image, 0, 0, null);
    or try
       Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().prepareImage(image, -1, -1, null);
        g.drawImage(image, 0, 0, null);
    If the image isn't displayed, just try a new paint after a while (for example after 1 second).
    Another way is to implement the ImageObserver interface who can announce you with the imageUpdate() method when the entire image is loaded:
       public boolean imageUpdate(Image img,int info,int x,int y,int width,int height)
         if(info & ALLBITS)
           //the image is entirely loaded....
       }

  • Adobe Printing Form in new Adobe Acrobat Window (not SAPGUI)?

    Hi,
    I'm having a problem with an Adobe form and maybe you can help.
    We have two SAP systems in place: system A is a 4.6C system and system B is a ECC 6.0 system. I have written an ABAP report that runs in system A and
    calls a function module (RFC call) in system B. In system B the Adobe form is generated and shown in the SAPGUI. Due to some unknown reason after some
    time the users get a short dump "connection closed". In order to avoid the short dump I would like to change the current logic in the following way: the
    ABAP report still runs in system A, the Adobe form is still created in system B but not shown in the SAPGUI anymore but in an Adobe Acrobat Reader window.
    The SAP session in the meantime would jump back to system A (to avoid the dump) and the Adobe windown/session would remain open.
    How could such a system behaviour be achieved?
    Thanks and regards, Michael

    Hi Michael,
    I don't know whether this solution will work  or not in your case. But still you can try this:
    In Adobe Acrobat reader go to Menu->Edit->Preferences. In this pop-up select Internet, Here you will see a checkbox "Display PDF in browser". Uncheck this checkbox.
    Hope it will open the form in Acrobat instead of SAP GUI.
    Regards,
    Vaibhav

  • I have imported a PDF form (created in adobe acrobat XI pro) into FormsCentral.  I now want to convert this document into a web form so I can embed it into my website.  HOW DO I DO THIS?

    I took a word document I had created and added fields to it in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  I then imported the PDF in Forms Central and now I am stuck.  All I am able to do with it in FormsCentral is add a submit button.  It will not allow me to edit the document in FormsCentral.  What I ultimately need to do is get this converted to a web form so that I can embed it into our company website.  Additionally, once it's converted, I need to add an option for the user to attach their resume with the file before submitting.  I have looked all over the web and I cannot find an answer as to whether or not I can convert PDFs to web forms in FormsCentral.  This will ultimately determine whether or not the company decides to purchase these programs after the trial version has ended in a few days.

    I tried that first, but FormsCentral does not have the capability to create tables.  The form I need to create is more advanced than what FormsCentral allows.  Do you know if there is a way to create or somehow import a table when creating a web based form on FormsCentral?

    You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by
    visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.

    That means you are looking at the form online with a browser that uses its own (incompatible) PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin.
    Either
    download the form to your local disk and fill it from there
    use a browser that employs the Adobe Reader plugin

  • Acrobat Pro XI - I can't seem to be able to edit font sizes in a PDF Fillable Form

    I have a PDF fillable Form which I wish to complete except for a few fields that need to be completed each time the form is submitted, and save it with those static fields completed and signed with an image of my signature.
    Sometimes the font seems to auto change it's size to fit in the field it is intended for, other times it is either too small to read or too large to fit in the box and be readable.  I've chosen the arrow tool and the menu choice Edit; Edit Text and Images, and they don't really seem to do anything.
    One part of the form has two fields for phone numbers (Business and Home) and the Business entry is always too tiny to read, while the Home field is OK.
    Aside from that, there are also two boxes with drop down menus which say Select with an arrow next to them, and one of them for example has choices of Male and Female.  If I select one, later when the form is printed, the gender choice is overprinting on the word Select, making it hard to read.

    Thanks for explaining that.  I wish I had "Locked" all the fields before I started then, since I did get somehow get a couple of them rearranged by accident and it took some (not a lot) of work to get them back in the proper order.
    For the present file, which I am not adding captions to, how would I set the "read only' property?  I looked around in the Tools area and the only thing that looked possible that I found was Protection; Restrict Editing but I didn't go farther yet because it wanted me to set a password before proceeding.
    Is it possible to make individual fields "Read Only" rather than the whole document?
    As for the signatures, what I did is sign on a piece of paper, scan that into a JPG file, and then choose "Sign" from the top menu bar between the Tools and Comment choices:
    This allowed me to drag the image of my signature to the line on the form where I am supposed to sign it, and place it there.  Then when I save the form with that signature on it, if I open it again and go to Forms Edit, I get a message that the form contains no Form Fields, and asks it I want Acrobat to detect fields for me.  If I choose yes, it then detects fields that were not previously filled in, but not the fields in which I had placed default entries before saving it.
    I see where you mean about Signature on the left pane, but if I open that after loading a PDF that I signed using the above procedure, it detects no signature.  So the "Digital Signature" you mention must not be the image of the signature like I am using.  So if I want to  make the image of my signature into a "Digital Signature" that can be verified, do I have to go to some third party paid procedure like Verisign or EchoSign or something or can I somehow self certify the image of my signature?
    I notice, as a side issue, that if I upload the blank unmodified PDF Form to Acrobat.com, it lets me fill it out and saves the file with a "form" extension, and they have a menu choice to Sign, but if you choose that you just get a box in which it expects you to draw your signature with your finger or a stylus I guess, but the result doesn't look much like my signature, and then if you save it to the computer, it does save it as a PDF file, but if you try to print it, the printed document is blank, so that is kind of useless.
    Thanks for your continued help!
