Pdf does not eprint. Pdf was created using Acrobat 9

Why did I get this message
Unprinted Attachments:EXBH20110603.pdf
ePrint Error
The print job was cancelled because the print job included photos that were too low in quality to print with good results.

Hey rahughes1,
The reason that this job failed is because the attachments may have included photos or pictures that were less than 100 dpi in resolution. ePrint will not print a picture unless it has a higher resolution.

  • Printing a pdf document created in Acrobat Pro 9.0

Solved the problem of printing a pdf document created using Acrobat Pro 9.0 with SL - tried many different things form adobe etc and by accident discovered while in Acrobat you have to select ADVANCED in Print then click onto SAVE AS IMAGE in next box and then OK and all prints as it should. Just thought others may want to know this if they have had problems 1

I'm reviewing your post and while I see a fix, I can't locate the problem that you may have originally posted. Since I'm having issues, I'm hoping your's were the same.
Sometimes when I print an Adobe Acrobat 9.0 document, most of the printed word fail to print out (although they are in the PDF document). Almost all graphical elements print and the occasional line of text--but most text is missing. Was ti your issue?
    Thanks.

  • No PDF file was created because Acrobat encountered an unidentified error.

    Product:
    Adobe Acrobat 8
    Windows XP SP3
    Problem:
when user try to combine multiple PDF files into one file from network drives (hence that user have full permissions), received this error:
    "Error (file skipped)
No PDF file was created because Acrobat encountered an unidentified error."
    Steps taken so far:
    - cleared windows temp files
    - cleared acrobat temp files
    - tried, same error
    - ran acrobat repair, tried it out, same error
    - made adjustments to "PDF Printer Properties per this article
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web_Development/Document_Imaging/Adobe_Acrobat/Q_23903725. html
    - tried again, no luck.
    - removed adobe acrobat and reinstalled it completely from scratch.
    - ran updates
    - tried again, no luck.
    - granted the user full permission access to acrobat folder under program files, still same error
    - then, copied files that I need to convert locally to the system and tried to combine them, it worked!
    - its not permission issue as I tried the same from my domain admin account and received the error.
    - also the user reported that acrobat takes 15 o 20 sec each time opening a file
    Any ideas?!
    Thanks!

If I change the properties to open as administrator, within the program I can combine pdfs over the network drive.
.  I can't drag and drop or combine pdfs from windows explorer and everytime I open acrobat it asks if it can make changes.
So it's still best to copy to c drive in order to use Combine and Portfolio features but would be really nice to use as designed.

  • Adobe Reader 9.x crashes when opening PDF's created using Office 2007

I work on the helpdesk side for a big corporation and many of our users are reporting that when they try to open a PDF, it locks up their Internet Explorer or Reader 9.x
We noticed that the problems were only caused by PDFs that were presentations created in PowerPoint, then saved as a PDF with the Office 2007 Save as PDF plugin. So what we did was engaged an engineer at Microsoft to look into the issue.  They did a lot of troubleshooting and narrowed it down.
They think that if the presentation was created using PP 2003 then opened in PP 2007 then saved as a PDF then this causes AR 9.x to crash.  So what they did was remove the slide number, and added a new slide number using PP 2007, save it as a PDF then it opens in AR 9.x
All other versions of AR can open the PDF under the same scenario.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Thanks

It's almost identical to what you posted. I think the difference was that I was trying on a machine with complete install of Acrobat which has the font packs and hence there was no hang/crash. Your file doesn't hang on that machine either.
If you look at the fonts panel in your document: File>Properties>Fonts, you'll notice that it uses MS-PGothic font which is a Japanese fonts, and hence the Japanese font pack might fix this.
Also, since you mentioned ACE.dll, the other possibility might be that there are conflicting DLLs on the system, commonly referred to as DLL Hell. Another thing to try would be to search the system for ACE.dll and see which all software install it.

  • Does only Adobre Reader "reads" the fields of a PDF when created with Acrobat?

I created a PDF with several fields and exported it.
Then I tried to open it with Firefox and the fields didn't appear.
But it works OK with Adobe Acrobat.
Does only Adobre Reader "reads" the fields of a PDF when created with Acrobat?

Adobe software reads form fields. The rules for how to do form fields are a part of the PDF standard (a book available to anyone) but some companies ignore it and others do half a job. To be safe, use only Adobe Reader. And beware of browsers that ignore Adobe Reader even if you have it.

  • Unable to combine files on acrobat 8 getting error message "no PDF file was created beacuse Acrobat encountered an unidentified error"

unable to combine files on acrobat 8 getting error message "no PDF file was created beacuse Acrobat encountered an unidentified error" Please help

A lot of the time the files can not be combined because of incompatible fonts, or at least font sets that could not be resolved. Maybe that will give you some direction to look at.

  • How to Merge 1 PDF file  to 50 PDF together not one by one. Using Acrobat 9 Windows xp.

Hi, How to Merge 1 PDF file  to 50 PDF together not one by one. Using Acrobat 9 Windows xp.

Depending on just what you are trying to do, you can also use DOCUMENT>Insert Pages to add multiple documents or simply drag and drop the documents into the current document (OK, I have not tried this one).

  • When pdf was created the letters ci defaulted to ã

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
In an annual publication (which printed last year perfectly) two letters (ci) defaulted to ã when the pdf was created.
The document was created in CS3 Indesign. Saved as a pdf for print. Same font - last year perfect, this year major problem.
    Thank you for your help.

Sounds like you have two different versons of the font involved (OpenType vs TT or PS) or a problem with ligatures.

  • Is there a licensing limit on PDF's created in Acrobat and imported into FormsCentral?

    Hello,
I have been looking at the forums and also chatted with someone from tech support. I have created a PDF in Acrobat Professional. I have not enabled Reader Extensions on the file. I imported it into FormsCentral and added a submit button. To test it, I filled it out and saved it successfully using Reader 9. I also submitted it successfully using the submit button. I do not yet have a paid FormsCentral account, but see that the Plus account allows 5000 submissions per form. This is not a licensing limit, but a space limit (see http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1382). I also understand there is a 500 use licensing limit on PDF's that have Reader Extensions enabled. Does that apply to an imported PDF with no Reader Extensions enabled? Please clarify.
    Thanks!

    Hello Gen,
Thank you for your reply. I have seen many discussions on these forums, as well as elsewhere on the internet regarding Adobe's licensing limit on fillable PDF forms created in Acrobat that have Reader Extensions enabled. We are only allowed to extract 500 responses from Reader Extended PDF's, according to this limit.
I wanted to confirm if this is applicable to a PDF I create in Acrobat Pro (without the Reader Extensions enabled), then imported and submitted through FormsCentral using a Plus account. You are saying that FormsCentral adds the Reader Extensions. Does that mean that the PDF is now subject to Adobe's limit of 500 on Reader Extended PDF's? Or does the fact that the PDF form is submitted through FormsCentral eliminate the limit of 500?
I just want to be sure that we can go ahead and send out a fillable PDF through FormsCentral without worrying we are exceeding the licensing limit.
    Thanks again!

  • Previewing a pdf document created by Acrobat 5.0 in IE 7

I have a document converted to pdf format by Adobe Acrobat 5.0 that needs to be accessible for viewing and download from a web page.  I got it uploaded to the website and there is a link to the file on the website's home page.  I have Adobe Reader 9.1 on my computer.  When I go to open the document that I created using Acrobat 5 by clicking on the link for it, a box comes up telling me that I "need Adobe Acrobart/Reader 8 or 9 to view the document in a web browser".  My Windows XP system's Folder Options are set up to open files with a pdf extension using Adobe Reader 9.1.  Yet, when I try to access a pdf from my website I get the aforementioned error message and Adobe Acrobat 5.0 opens up, and with nothing displayed.  Has anyone experienced this, or know of a fix.... or what I may have done wrong in building the document or configured my web browser, Windows Internet Explorer 7?  -- Chessgeek

Have you checked your preferences (Edit>Preferences>Page display) and made sure that "display large images" is checked?

  • Why .pdf file, created by Acrobat Distiller 10.1.2. (Windows) failed to convert to MS Word

I tried to convert .pdf file  to MS Word, but it failed.
I noticed in  a previous discussion on that topic that this converter ccnnot work with
.pdf files cteated by certain producers
My was created by Acrobat Distiller 10.1.2. (Windows)
Is that a rogue producer too?
    Thanks

At this point, try Acrobat XI Pro to see if you can convert the document there.  A 30-day trial of Acrobat XI Pro is available here:

If the file fails to convert with Acrobat, it may be corrupted. How did you get this PDF?

  • How to include a .lvlib in a build that was created using a custom .dll

I am trying to build an executable in LV2010 that uses a .lvlib that was created using a .dll from Keyence. I have added the .lvlib to the source files as "Always Included" and I have also added all of the .vi files of the library to "Always Included." I still get the error saying "Missing External Function" when running the program. The executable seems to open fine on the development computer but not on a secondary computer. Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

...I assumed too quickly that the problem was resolved. By specifying the path I was actually able to open the executable after installing but none of the .dll functions worked. I noticed that when I specified a path on the diagram, the .dll was no longer included in the dependencies and was no longer included in the build. I guess this would explain why none of the functions were working. I copied the .dll over to the path specified on the diagram and it still did not function.
This brings me back to the original problem I was facing. I actually removed the .lvlib. I replaced all of the library vi references with the Call Library Function and deselected the "Specify path on diagram" Boolean. When I do this, the build includes the .dll in the dependencies list and it includes the .dll file in the destination folder of the install. However, when running the executable I get a list of errors that read, "Missing external function …” I have attached an image of this error. This is the same error that occurred when I was using the library, but I thought maybe the library was the cause of the problem, which is why I used the Call Library Function instead.
*I have tried adding the .dll to the support files and I receive the same error when trying to run the executable.
*I have tried adding the .dll to the support files and making it an “always include” in the installer properties under source files. This returns the same error.
I’m really not sure where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated!
