Have you tried downloading it directly to your iPod? If you use the same iTunes account that originally purchased the app you will not be charged again.

This software nvever runs beofre on this server.

But older Reader versions can be downloaded from the Adobe FTP site ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/

Problem saving annotated PDF files with windows reader app

It has happened to more than one of my files. After I read it, and jotted some notes on it, when I was trying to save, it tells me I couldn't. At first, l thought it was a problem of my file. However, it has happened to every file I tried. When I opened
the file with another PDF app, it opens and saves fine.
Is there anything I am missing that causes the problem?

I just made a test using Windows Reader, it works fine without problem. For your problem, I doubt there is a problem with this app and you can try to reinstall this Reader app trough Windows Store.
On the other hand, you can access to the link below to download the pdf file to make a test. I already made a test using this pdf file on my system, Windows 8.1 Pro. Reader app works fine:

All of the apps I have found on the App store either do not have the text to speech capability or if they have it they will only read a page at a time or simply read the text you paste into their window. I really do not understand what is so difficult about having this feature as Kindle provides it--though Amazon does not make the feature available on its iPhone 4 app.

thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document. If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible). Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

How to transfer pdfs in Adobe reader app on ipad to desktop pc?

I can't see to find the solution of this problem anywhere.
Is it possible to transfer the pdfs saved in the Adobe Reader app to a PC (not a mac, I don't have one).
Basically, I want to be able to plug my ipad into my PC and take the pdfs and transfer straight to my PC without going through any other means.

I do not have any iOS devices, but if I connect my Android device to my Windows PC, I use Windows Explorer to view, then copy (drag-and-drop) the files from the Android directory straight to my local disk on Windows. I am pretty sure it works similarly with iOS devices.

Your form is a special type of form called a "static XFA form" (typically authored with Adobe LiveCycle Designer).
The "links" in the static XFA form are actually buttons (form fields) that act like hyperlinks.
Unfortunately, Adobe Reader mobile products (including Adobe Reader for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support static (or dynamic) XFA forms. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The static XFA buttons for web links did not work with any of the non-Adobe PDF viewers that I tried on my iPad, either. So the users who receive the static XFA form will experience the same problem on mobile devices.

Sharing a "Flattened" copy of a fillable PDF from a mobile device - Reader App

Ever since the latest iOS update, our fillable reader extended PDF's are not working properly in the Reader App. I created fillable forms and save as a "reader extended" file. When we open the file on the Reader App, we can fill in the form and sign, but when we go to email the form it attaches the blank form to an email. It does not offer the "Share Original" or "Flatten copy" option before going into the email. We use this feature for mobile devices to sign contracts on site vs. going on a laptop. If I open a normal PDF file, a non fillable form, I can email the original or flattended copy from the reader app but this is not needed on a normal PDF. How can I share the flattened copy of a fillable form from the reader app on the iPhone/iPAD? Is this issue going to be resolved or are there settings I need to change in the PDF file before saving it for reader extended?

As you mentioned, Reader for iOS version 11.2 does not offer the E-mail Document dialog with the two options for Reader Extended PDFs. We will investigate if this is a new defect that was accidentally introduced in Reader 11.2.
Regarding the other issue, please note that a PDF form that is sent as "Original" does not become a blank form.
The problem is that many non-Adobe PDF viewers, such as Apple Mail (the default email app on iOS) preview feature, Apple iBooks, Apple Preview for Mac OS X (desktop), do not render form fields or comments correctly.
A workaround is to make sure to open an "Original" (non-flatten) PDF document in Adobe Reader. For example, an email recipient (who views your "Original" PDF form in Apple Mail on iOS) can long press (press and hold) the preview of the PDF form and select Open in Adobe Reader.
We will get back to you on the issue with the E-mail Document dialog soon.

I have PDF files on my PC that I'd like to view on my phone. I downloaded the Adobe Reader expecting a folder to appear that I could copy these PDFs to. Rather like with Kindle. It didn't. Where do I put the files so I can display them using the Adobe Reader App? Of course when I open the app at the moment, I get 'no files available', obviously, I don't know where to put them. I solved the problem. I manually created my own Adobe PDF folder by connecting the phone via usb to my PC, Windows Autoplay gave me the option to 'Open device to view files'. Explorer then displayed all the folders on the phone. I created an Adobe PDF folder manually and copied the PDFs I wanted to view into that folder. Adobe Reader then found the files without a problem. I clearly was missing something quite simple but something I'm sure a lot of people would miss. Perhaps if the next version of Adobe Reader for Android created this folder automatically, like Kindle and Kobo and other readers do, it might save a lot of people a bit of a headache.

I am using Adobe Reader app on my ipad air and when filling out forms, and making a selection from a combo box, my selection dissappears. Not visible, not printable, not savable, just blank. It works well on my Reader on my Windows desktop. Any ideas?

Minor incompatibility between outlook 2010 and (pdf-) Reader app

Hi.
On win8.1 x64 enterprise (fully patched, including all optional updates to-date), I have found a slight incompatibility with outlook 2010 (x86, sp2). If anybody would like to reproduce it, here are the steps:
First, make sure that the Reader app is your default pdf viewer. Now open outlook and take a message with a pdf attachment. Right click the attachment and select "quick Print". Expected behavior: the attached pdf is sent to your default printer.
Instead, nothing happens.
If I set Adobe Reader as default pdf viewer, it works as expected.
Please be aware that the cause is related to the reader app which is not started by outlook. In order to quick print, the pdf reader would need to be started first, as observed with adobe reader: it flashes up briefly before printing starts.
So the problem is with either outlook or with the way win8.1 manages calls from program to program - I don't know. Please note it has nothing to do with the model of the printer, it happens with all printers, even virtual ones.
If we think of companies adopting win8/8.1, this is really annoying, as it will require them to install a 3rd party reader.
Please look for a solution. If I should report it anywhere, just say where.

I made a test on our test enviroment, Windows 8.1 X64 Enterprise, Office 2010 PRO SP2.
There is no problem to printing as you description. You may need to consider if this is Office problem.

PDF-Formular im LCD erstellt - über Adrobe Reader App ausfüllen

Hallo,
ich bin neu in der Adobe Community und benötige Hilfe.
Vorab:
Seit ungefährt 1,5 Jahren erstelle ich für unser Unternehmen PDF-Formulare
mit den LCD ES 8.2 und seit kurzem auch mit dem LCD ES2 9.0.
Ich habe mir das Erstellen von Formularen im LCD beigebracht (durch testen und ausprobieren)
und bin somit ein Laie in dem Programm. Aber für unsere Zwecke genügt es.
Die von mir erstellten Formulare werden an unsere Auftraggeber weitergeleitet
bzw. auf unserer Homepage zum download angeboten.
Die ausgefüllten Formulare werden dann an uns zurückgeschickt.
Folgendes Problem ergibt sich nun:
Die Formulare sollen auch auf Smartphones mit der kostenfreien Adobe Reader App
(egal ob Android oder Apple) ausgefüllt und versendet werden können.
Leider funktioniert das mit den LCD erstellten Formularen nicht.
Am PC-Bildschirm gibt es keine Probleme mit ausfüllen und versenden.
Zum Testen habe ich mal ein Pseudoformular (mit zwei Formularfeldern) mit dem im Adobe Acrobat Pro X
enthaltenen Erstellungstool (heißt glaube ich FormCentral) erstellt. Damit funktioniert es problemlos auf dem Smartphone.
Ich möchte aber nicht alle Formulare im FormCentral neu erstellen und mich in dieses Programm selbst neu einarbeiten.
Meine Fragen:
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das ich weiterhin mit LCD die Formulare erstelle und diese aber trotzdem auf Smartphones ausfüllbar sind?
Oder sollte ich mir einmal den Aufwand machen und alle Formulare im FormCentral erstellen, damit ich die nächsten Jahre immer auf dem aktuellen Stand bin?
Wenn ja, wie kann ich die LCD-PDF-Formulare am einfachsten im FormCentral übernehmen (importieren), ohne jetzt mit einem weißen Blatt Papier anfangen zu müssen?
Über Hilfestellungen wäre ich sehr dankbar.

Mit HTML und ähnlichem bin ich wahrscheinlich überfordert. Dafür habe ich als Laie wohl zu wenig IT-Wissen.
Ich habe mir das Form Central mal angeschaut, aber ich glaube das dieses Programm eher für Onlineumfragen und ähnliches geeignet ist. Jedoch für meine Zwecke nicht das richtige ist.
Es geht um solche Formulare: Anfrageformular Beispiel
Diese werden zum Download zur Verfügung gestellt und auch per E-Mail von unseren Mitarbeitern an Kunden gesendet. (Manche Kunden drucken es sich auch aus und faxen es ausgefüllt zurück )
Haben Sie eine andere / bessere Idee, mit welchem Programm (außer LCD) ich das in dieser Art und Weise als PDF erstellen könnte und trotzdem auf dem aktuellen Softwarestand bin?

I have a problem with a pdf file which does not open with reader in windows 8 but it opens properly with adobe pdf reader. All other pdf can be opened in reader.But when i open a pdf(see this link for pdf for which i got error http://incometaxsoft.com/temp/Form.pdf)

This has turned out to be an enormous issue for me as I sell PDF files as ebooks. I have done a fair amount of investigating this for my system.
My files have to be compatible not just across readers but across operating systems.
To date, I have over 200 PDFs that have functioned flawlessly across Mac, PC (Windows 7 and below), Android, iPhone/iPad, Linux.
I personally test my PDFs using a variety of readers and PDF editors including
PDF XChange (my favorite)
Foxit (runner up for me and I recommend for most people)
Adobe (the bloated monster)
Nitro 9 (great for moving graphical elements around)
ABBYY
And the Nuance PDF Create toolsets
Those are off the top of my head. There are a bunch on Android that I test with too.
I am running the Windows 10 Pro Tech Preview and I have this same problem so I know it isn't fixed yet in any kind of pre-release way (-sigh-)
Here is what I've learned for my situation
The PDFs I created using NUANCE'S PDF CREATE PROFESSIONAL VERSION 8
all fail using the built-in Windows 8/10 PDF reader.
When I look at the PDF properties for these Nuance created files, the underlying engine used to write them is called "ImageToPDF". Using ABBYY it indicates their own engine as does everyone else that I've tried. It is easy for you to check to see
what created your PDF by doing a "Control D" (look at the document properties). Perhaps there's a common engine causing issues.
If I use the exact same source files to create a PDF using any of my other tools I have no issues. I checked the PDF versions made by the tools and they are all set to 1.5.
A customer mentioned being able to convert them in a way they worked by saving them without having to do any kind of extraction, but I have not been able to duplicate that. Perhaps he did a "print" which seems like it could work.
In summary, the workaround everyone is talking about, using an alternate reader, of course works. But not everyone wants to change.
The culprit I have found is my Nuance PDF Creation tools that are using the ImageToPDF engine.
I hope it gets FIXED as I really don't want to have to regenerate all of my PDF files.

iPads sync to 1 computer only.
All media and apps are tied to the Apple ID that purchased them.
Without your relatives ID and password, you cannot update any of the Apps.
I am pretty certain he is also violating Apples terms of service by giving you the apps.
