PDF file gets open with blank page behind in IE7

Hi ,
We have recently upgraded the IE from IE6 to IE7 version.
Now when we are tring to open the PDF file ,it opens in Adobe Acrobat reader leaving the blank page in the behind.
Bur earlier i.e. in IE6 we were able to open the PDF in the browser itself , no additional blank page pops up.
We need to open the PDF in Popup page(i.e. in IE browser itself ).
Could you please let me know what settings need to do in Adobe Acrobat Reader/IE7 .

Configuring the browser to open PDF files within the browser window
When you install Acrobat or Adobe Reader on a system that includes a browser, you automatically configure the browser to open PDF files within the browser window. Acrobat and Adobe Reader install ActiveX plug-in files that allow you to use Internet Explorer or AOL to open PDF files. If either application is installed, but PDF files don't open in the browser window, then work through the following steps to configure the browser.
Make sure that the ActiveX folder contains files required for web browsing.
To open PDF files in a browser window, the ActiveX folder must contain the following files: AcroPDF.dll, AcroIEHelper.dll, and pdfshell.dll.
The ActiveX controls should be located in: Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX
If any of these files are missing, then repair Acrobat or Adobe Reader by choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation, or reinstalling the application.
Restart Windows to make sure all registry changes are registered,

Open a PDF file in illustrator with multiple pages CS6

Hi all,
Maybe someone could tell me if this feature is already available...
I really need to use this feature... maybe someone has a Idea? i need to translate and edit a PDF file that was original designed by our factory... they had hired a company to make the documentation but the company did go bankrupt so we can't get the original files en need the edit the compressed PDF File...
I Hope someone could help me...

If you have set this phone up, then there would not necessarily be a solution here until you have been verify with the provider that everything is provisioned correctly on their end. Since the 3G comes from your cellular provider, if the settings are correct on the phone, then you should work with the carrier next.

I note from your system details that you have the plugin for adobe pdf s so I would have expected the files should open in firefox '''without''' you needing to explicitly download them.
Once the files are open in firefox, you will also get the option to save them permanently to a location on your computer. If you wish I suppose you could set the file type pdf to be associated with and be opened by firefox instead of with the Adobe Acrobat Reader, but that would just seem to be an additional complexity.

Files get open with single click sometimes

I recently started having this problem. When I browse through different image/video files, some of the files get open with one click only. This is really very annoying. I am event thinking to migrate back to Windows because of this problem.
How to reproduce the issue:
-> Open a folder that contains many images/video files
-> Click on anyone of them to select it
-> Now click outside the window. So, the finder goes out of the focus (but should stay visible)
-> Now, inside finder click any other image/video just once, it will open up automatically with just single click

If you have access to a mouse, try using it. If everything is okay using the mouse, then it is likely trackpad related. Other troubleshooting.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. When I open a pdf file, Firefox opens a blank window, then the file opens in a Adobe Reader window. How can I stop the blank window?

Whether I am using Firefox 3.6.8 or Thunderbird 3.0.6, clicking on a pdf file opens a new window. After a few seconds the pdf file opens in a separate Adobe Reader window. When I am done with that and close it, I still have to go back and close out the blank window. Got to be a configuration issue some place. I have tried several settings under Tools/Options, but haven't found the right setting yet. Any suggestions?

Thank you very much for the reply. I followed your instructions. This fixed half of the problem. Links to pdf files that are on web pages now come up with a box that asks if I want to open or save the file, without a blank browser window in the background. That is great.
When I tested the fix with pdf file links in email, the problem still exists. I tested links in Outlook Express, Yahoo mail, and Gmail. Any time I click on a pdf link in an email, a blank Firefox window opens and then I get the small window that asks me if I want to open or save the file. Sounds like this is a configuration issue, not a technical problem. Thanks for your help.

When pdf file is opened with Adobe reader, it shows extra whitespace after "w"

I am unable to attach the pdf file here. But my pdf file is having a hyperlink "http://www.google.co.in/". When i open it with Adobe reader, its shown as "http://w w w .google.co.in/", if the same pdf file is opened in some other pdf reader, the link is properly shown and i can click over it to browse. This is a bug in Adobe Reader.
Please revert back mentioning where should i attach the pdf file.

I have created the pdf files using txTextControl.ServerTextControl
The additional space after the "w" is a result of charaster spacing, there is no whitespace in pdf file after "w"
If i open the same pdf in some other pdf reader like Sumatra pdf reader, it gets opened without any white space after "w".
However, there is no space after the "w" in the PDF document, its the adobe reader issue.

Reader X "opens" a pdf file online as a blank page. Why? Using vista.

While opening a routine bank statement (pdf) online today, I was prompted to delete Acrobat since it was no longer working, and to go to acrobat.com. I did so (I did not download any of the acrobat versions as a financial decision). At this point I was no longer able to open the pdf file. I updated Adobe Reader to Reader X. Still no luck. I tried the repair feature. No luck. I deleted Reader X and reinstalled it. No luck. The pdf still comes up as a blank page. Things are still not right online with Wells Fargo/Adobe pdf's. I have uninstalled all versions of Adobe Reader, AIR, and Flash Player, and have downloaded the new versions. I did the flash player a few minutes ago when trying to watch a YouTube video sent via email and I received a prompt telling me I needed to upgrade Adobe Flash Player.When I access the list of Bank statements for what I call my main account ( I have two checking, two savings, and one Visa accounts with this bank) the list of ten or so monthly accounts for this "main account" appears. I can click on any one of them, get a blank pdf, click on the refresh button, then the pdf appears; one of the savings accounts is on this same statement.
If I bring up the other checking account or the other savings account, the only entry on the monthly list that pertains to that account is the second one on the list. All the other months are still from the "main account". I can bring up any of those monthly pdf's via the refresh button route.
The Visa account monthly list is good, but I have to click on refresh to view the pdf.
The pdf statements from US Bank work fine.

TextEdit 1.7 doesn't open with blank page - why?

I use TextEdit all the time - it's simple - I can copy and paste important web-realted writings, like the one I'm writing right now, in case the web crashes or my wifi goes out or yet another Safari bug appears. And when my writing is inspired, I can open TextEdit quickly and get the idea typed quickly - unlike other programs that take a moment to open.
But now, TextEdit has changed in OS 10.7.3, for some reason:
1. When you open the application, it reverts to whatever you were typing before, or whatever document was saved the last time you opened TextEdit. E.g., it doesn't open with a blank page. Why on earth would you change this? Now when I'm finished typing something, I have to select ALL and DELETE the work, so it doesn't distract me when I open a new document, or I want to save some completely new document. That simply adds up to more mouse-clicking in a long day.
2. There is no "save as" under File. Just "save". Again, why change this?
Apple / Mac, just ask yourselves, is this a "change", or an "improvement"?

CS3 Lifecycle PDF form issues opening and blank pages

I downloaded a PDF form and added text fields, numeric and calculated fields (FormCalc) using Lifecylce in CS3. I now have CS5 and Lifecycle ES When I use the original form and input data it calculates and looks fine. I can open it no issues. I email it to my clients, some say the fields are blank, some say they get an error opening it, others have no issues. Do I need to make some sort of changes to the PDF file, or maybe the ones that can't open or see blank don't have the correct version of Reader?
I can provide the file if necessary

Everything seems to be in order .....can you send the problem PDF to [email protected] and I will try to reproduce the issue. Please include a description of the issue in the email as there is no corelation between the email and this forum.

Firefox only opens with blank page regardless of any websites I go to.

I've tried re-installation, but to no avail. Even updated to the latest version to ensure that I don't miss out on anything. Nothing I've tried could work, I've restarted the computer for about 6 times and I think the only alternative left is for me to reboot my system, because evidently, the same problem persists in my IE as well. Only my Google Chrome and Opera seems to be working fine.
This problem happened after I installed the automatic updates on windows, I've tried uninstalling the update too, but it just opens with a blank page.
On a sidenote, my G-Mail account has been continuously hacked by an IP address in UK from January till now. Do you think that's relevant? I'm sure I didn't download any malware/spyware nor key in any login creditentials.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
