PDF on iCloud

I am avery happy user on MobileMe (with its iDisk feature) from more than 2 years.
I now moved to iCloud and I can not sync my PDF (and other) files anymore, but I can only sync pages, numbers and keynotes files. It is completely useless!
Is anyone able to help me?
Thank-You in advance!
marco

Clint,
The folder is inside the Library folder, which is invisible (at least on OS X Lion).  You can't move it, but I installed a shortcut on my desktop by opening the library folder and Command-Option-Dragging the Mobile Documents folder to my desktop.
The invisible Library folder can be accessed by going opening a new Finder window and clicking on "Finder/Go/Go to Folder..." in the Finder window
Then type in "~/Library" (without the quotes) and click "Go"
Then find the Mobile Documents folder in the Library folder.  That folder will have a number of folders for any iCloud apps, including Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.  I would not mess with those unless you are certain Apple allows it.  But GoodReader Help files say that you can add or change things in their folder, which looks like "RANdomCRAP~com~goodiware~GoodReader".
I think that the reason the Mobile Documents folder is in the invisible Library folder is that Apple expects that most developers for the iOS platform will have corresponding OS X apps that access that folder for you.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Good Luck, Chris

    Just use Drop Box instead.

  • How to upload pdf into iCloud?

I am very sattisfied with uploading .doc and .xls into iColoud (sorry about the fileextetions ).

    Hi Prasad,
I dont think SAP provides any functionally for the same.
The least you can do is ask for a Text file instead of PDF file & use FM "GUI_UPLOAD" to upload the same.

  • Storing pdf in icloud

Can i store pdf in icloud?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
That depends on whether the app you are using has been developed to work with iCloud. For example Adobe Reader does.

  • In 2015, with OS X 10.10.2 and iOS8. How to move .pdf to iCloud ?

I found an old answer (eg. 2012) re downloading .pdf to icloud...but what about in 2015?
I have GoodReader 4.0 fine.. but now that my phone syncs from iclould NOT ITunes how do I get pdf into
    GoodReader? from laptop.

Yes this works...Now if I can get image up will show you all the options I have when I click on a pdf in a Mail email.
So for me I can open in GoodReader, iBooks, NOOK or Evernote.  I use Goodreader because iBooks won’t let you change color of Background and text. Goodreader lets you build your own preferred reading view.

  • Is there any way to access a PDF in iCloud on an iOS device?

After a PDF has been saved in iCloud, is there any way to access it from an iOS device (iPad)?

No, you can only view it from a Mac that is signed into your account.

  • How do I open a PDF on iCloud from my iPhone?

This is my primary use case: viewing PDFs that I've saved on iCloud.

This is mostly correct - Each application on an iPad or iPhone has access only to its own documents and data. In order to "share" a document, you must use the "open in" feature of one application to open the document in another application (e.g. from Safari to Adobe Reader). Some applications (not just Apple applications) support iCloud storage. This allows the same application to share and sync data/documents with itself across multiple devices. It still doesn't let you "open a document from iCloud" in the same way that you might "open a document from dropbox". The Adobe Reader currently does not support iCloud, though we do have file storage if you log in to Acrobat.com in the application. This allows you to save files to Acrobat.com and open them from other devices and your desktop. You can also save the files to Acrobat.com from the desktop Adobe reader or a webapp. The user mentioning PDF Max may be correct- that PDF max supports iCloud, but that's only for files for the PDF max application. You still can't use PDF max to open files from other applications (applications other than PDF Max).
A caveat to those reading this in the future: It looks like Apple may be opening some of this up with iOS 8. There will be more sharing possible between applications.

  • PDFs in iCloud wont open on the iPAD

I have moved PDFs from my iMac into iCloud so I could read them on my iPad. I've been told I should put them into iBooks, but I don't know how. Can anyone help?

    Hey Shapley,
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to view a pdf with iBooks. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

  • Saving pdfs in iCloud

    Hi,
I am experiencing trouble to saving a) pdfs that I have created myself with a scanner and b) pdfs that have been sent to me as mail attachments to iCloud! Anybody know a solution to this? Bloody annoying as I need to save several documents (pages, numbers and pdf's) in a folder under my clients name, and also need to access these from various locations and macs.
    Kindly,
    Jukka

Open the PDFs in Preview.  Then select the menu
File->Export As...  In the dialog box that comes up,
in the "Where" drop down menu select iCloud.
Remember that you need to be logged into iCloud to do this.

  • Pdf in icloud

if you want to save to iCloud documents in pdf format and open them from the ipad or the iphone as you do from the macbook, there is an application called max pdf pro, worth about 27 euros

works exactly like the preview when you save in pdf, the difference is that keeping them in the preview can not be opened from the ipad

  • Can someone explain how I post PDFs on iCloud?  I use the app Goodreader to view and edit PDFs on my iPad

I am trying to upload PDF documents from my MacBook to iCloud so that I can view and edit them in Goodreader, an app on my iPad, but I cannot add them to Pages on the iCloud website.  How do I upload them?

the latest version of the iOS app GoodReader has been updated to use the iCloud sync features. You can open, store, and edit PDF files and they'll automatically sync with GoodReader on all other devices. Documents are stored in iCloud and will also sync with any Mac that is setup to sync with iCloud. The Mac will automatically have a folder where you can open synced files or add new files from your Mac. details of how to do this are in the GoodReader help files.
Note: I have no affiliation with GoodReader other than as a happy customer.

    Download from where? Email attachment?
Icloud has nothing to do with books and PDFs.

  • Black screen when trying to open pdf in iCloud email with 10.6.8

I've tried moving the pdf browser plugin to the trash and relaunching but no success.

    Hi
    Thank you for the reply.
No I have not deleted anything, this all happened automatically when the trial period ended.
Other than an old version of Photoshop (version 7, for which I do have a serial number, I don't have any other Adobe software - just the reader which is now not working)
I was trialling Dreamwever but couldn't get started with it so am paying someone else to set up the website using Wordpress.
