PDF Reader and Editor for Playbook

Hi Guys,
Hope all is well with you...
I recently bought playbook, adobe pdf reader sucks...period....I cannot find "words"...No options at all.
Whenever I read a book, I like to underline the text which I find important, also when on the middle of the page, if I need to refer another name in the document, I use "find"....Now I am not able to do both. Also there is no app on the app world as well. So sad...
Can anyone face similar problem, Hope you guys can help me...

I downloaded yesterday Jotsy from the BB App Store (right now it is available for free).
Besides being a PDF Reader it also allows you to select a page number without scrolling to it, highlight text lines, add comments, circle text, and save these changes or undo those changes.
Jotsy comes in ‘2 slices’. You install one on your PB and the other one on your PC. When you install the PC component you need first to install java (I had to uninstall it, then installed java from java.com, and then re-installed Jotsy to get the Jotsy icon placed into the notification area of the system tray. You need this one.
Today I set-up a “cloud’” account with box.com (right now it is available for free till March 23) and now Jotsy syncs with my files in the Jotsy PC folder on my desktop and the Jotsy box folder in the “cloud”, i.e. the box.com’s server where one can store up to 5 GB of files either from your PB or smartphone (via upload from your media card folders or send your attachments from email as an email forwarded to your box account (wow)).
What does sync do? It copies files from both locations to your hidden Jotsy folder in your PB so you can work ‘Offline’ on your documents. One thing I didn’t like. I needed to upload my PB OS 2 manual to the “cloud” from my PB document folder rather than move it locally (I guess this is good for service providers). However, now I can go directly to pages I want tot go from the index without scrolling through the whole manual and make notes right there in my manual or underline text.

Pdf/epub/docx reader and editor software for nokia...

As a user of asha 311 I was kind of disappointed for their latest SW Update. Please nokia consider putting pdf/epup/docx reader and editor for your next SW UPDATE. Almost all android phone can read pdf file but asha cant so please consider including this. For me if you nokia made it its much safer for us user to download it. .less risk in our phone. I have been trying other pdf reader like in your ovi store its ok but not great it doesnt read all pdf and its kinda not convinient. Hope you consider.

Well not really nokia has used pdf reader and editor on their older unit before..hmn i thinks its nokia e40 or something. and its already part of the phone app. so why not put it in their asha series as a update..really they should put more useful updates..

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum.
Please use the forum search function before posting, often your question will have been asked and answered before so you will get your answer straight away. Please see the forum guidelines on posting if your have any questions on this.
How did you reset your C7? If you used any other way to reset but the *#7370# code you probably used a reset which is reserved for Nokia Care Centres which involves pressing a specific combination of hardware buttons.
This reset is used to get a phone back on when it wont' start normally but will remove a number of files form the device which are not installed by the updates available to you as an end user of the device.
In this case you'd have to visit a Nokia Care Point where the device can be rewritten at lower level including these files. This will completely erase all content from the device so make sure you have a backup of your personal data made in Nokia Suite before you do this.

How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then? That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.

(MHDDK) How to realize the synchronization of read and write for long time by cart PCI6025E

I've finished the programming of the process read and write for the PCI6025E, I can read and write the data now, I wanna synchronize both of the processes, writing the data into the card just after the reading from the card, and check the wave in the oscilloscope. when I use the SEC , it works, but when I changed to MSEC, the wave only come out for a few seconds, even if I bloc 60sec, and also the wave is not steady. why?
so now the problem is how could I write the data immediately which just read and it's for a long time I asked?

aiex4.cpp doesn't exist, as far as I can tell. I believe that while the examples were being named, the developer mis-numbered them and just skipped 4 :-S
At any rate, if you already have AI and AO working separately, and you have the I/O performance you application requires, then you may not need to add DMA to your driver. However, if you want to add DMA, it won't be very difficult. In essence, you would need mix code from the S and M Series examples. The S Series example aiex2.cpp shows two things: the few lines of code you need to add DMA objects (lines 70-78), and how to program the STC to use DMA (line 114). And aiex3.cpp from the M Series examples gives a clearer picture of how to control and read the DMA channel.

Ever find a real solution to this? I just posted something similar - been having the issues ever since I started using the mac.
I have 5 mac accounts: 2 of those are admins.
After I installed every program I may possibly want, I redid all my user accounts (as I had been having a lot of permissions issues before that). My (admin) account downloads fine. Another admin account, set up exactly as mine, periodically gets prompted that it doesn't have the right to download.
To avoid duplication, I have a /common/music directory for all itunes accounts music. We have to periodically do a recursive permissions deal on the 2nd admin account so it can put music there, even though that directory is read/write for everyone. Apple's never been able to help me on this...

If I pay for a second copy of PDF reader and download, will my existing files be erased

I use my ipad for business and personal. I purchased PDF reader with my business signon. I would like to purchase same app with personal signon so that when I sync ipad, I don't have to supply 2 different addresses. My question is - if I download a new PDF reader, will the files I currently have loaded on the ipad with this application be erased? There are over 1000 files at this point.

Thanks for your reply. I need to re-word my question - I want to replace my current PDF reader with the same reader purchased until my personal id. If I replace the app, will the files I have added still be there, or will they go away. (This is to keep from having to sign in to two different accounts to sync the ipad.)

Problem with PDF Reader and Create PDF plugins

I use Internet Explorer Nine. The Adobe PDF Reader plugin disappeared from my browser. When I look at the listing of my add-ons, Adobe PDF reader appears in the list of all add-ons but not in the list of currently loaded add-ons. I have tried reinstalling Adobe Reader X and adding the FileOpen.api file to the plug-ins subfolder of the reader folder of the Reader 10.0 program files folder to no avail. How did the plugin disappear from by browser? How can I reinstall the plugin? Would reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Standard XI help?
I was once able, on every website, to turn in a portion of the text and/or pictures on the website into a PDF file by right-clicking and clicking on "Convert to Adobe PDF." Now, I can perform this action only on certain websites. When I cannot perform the action correctly, the entire webpage is converted into a PDF file. What could be causing the malfunction? How can I fix it?

I&m not quite sure I understand your problem. You have Adobe PDF Reader under All Add-ons; is it enabled?
Can you view any PDFs in Internet Explorer?

I updated to the latest pdf reader, and all print files have a .prn suffix

After I updated to the latest Adobe PDF Reader, I cannot print PDF files.
The files have a .prn suffix, which is an old format for Lotus 1-2-3.

I found a free utility called PrintFile that can print .prn files to USB-connected printers.
When the utility is installed it associates .prn and other similar files with PrintFile.
Now when I print a pdf file, I click on the .prn file that is created, and the file is printed O.K.
It appears that Adobe deleted the Print to File option from the print screen in Reader 10.1.4.

Foxit reader is default PDF reader and presents a blank page when asked to show a PDF document.

I use Mozilla Firefox and Foxit Reader as my default PDF reader. I go to a web site that has a click-on to a PDF document. Mozilla opens a new tab and presents a blank page with the word "done" in the bottom left corner. The address bar shows the called up document, but no document shows.
How do I correct this?
If I go to IE which calls on Adobe, the document comes up fine.

Things are still not right online with Wells Fargo/Adobe pdf's. I have uninstalled all versions of Adobe Reader, AIR, and Flash Player, and have downloaded the new versions. I did the flash player a few minutes ago when trying to watch a YouTube video sent via email and I received a prompt telling me I needed to upgrade Adobe Flash Player.When I access the list of Bank statements for what I call my main account ( I have two checking, two savings, and one Visa accounts with this bank) the list of ten or so monthly accounts for this "main account" appears. I can click on any one of them, get a blank pdf, click on the refresh button, then the pdf appears; one of the savings accounts is on this same statement.
If I bring up the other checking account or the other savings account, the only entry on the monthly list that pertains to that account is the second one on the list. All the other months are still from the "main account". I can bring up any of those monthly pdf's via the refresh button route.
The Visa account monthly list is good, but I have to click on refresh to view the pdf.
The pdf statements from US Bank work fine.

How do I get .jpg's to automatically be read and write for everyone

When I save a photo in Photoshop CS6 v13, as a .jpg file, it automatically gives me read and write permission, but not others. This is a pain as I have to change it each time I want to send someone a photo. Anywhere I can make it happen automatically?

Is there a workaround in Acrobat that lets you flip a pdf horiz and vert for composite output?

The flip horizontally and vertically option is grayed out for composite output and only enabled for separations. I need to be able to flip pdfs horiz and vert when using hole-punched paper in my printer because the paper has to feed from the unpunched side or the printer jams. Does anybody know of any simple workarounds (besides first flipping my source files to generate pre-flipped pdfs)? Thanks!

Adobe Flash, latest version, is hitting the disk hundreds of times per second with disk reads and writes for no obvious reason. Is this normal? If not, ...

I am running Firefox 18 on Windows 7, all with latest updates. The Adobe Flash plugin (latest version) hits the disk with hundreds of reads and hundreds of writes each second. This seems to start as soon as cnn.com is loaded then as other sites are loaded it just gets worse. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Is it normal? If not normal, how can I can stop it?

* Hardware acceleration issues are sometimes resolved by upgrading Graphics drivers <br /> [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Flash often causes issues with Firefox. From Flash 11.3 some Windows users were needing to disable Flash's ''protected mode''. Rather a longshot but it may be worth experimenting with the protected mode and trying turning it off.
