PDF sharing

I have a fillable PDF that I created with Formscentral, now I want my employees to be able to distribute it with their own emails. When they try to upload the form, it says it can't because it was "already distributed by forms central." Any ideas?

What you need to do is give them the FCDT file that they can then import in their FormsCentral dashboard.
On the Design Tab, look under File > Export Design File
Your employees will then need to do File > Import Design File from their dashboard
You can't reimport FormsCentral PDF back into FormsCentral. This is a current limitation that we are looking into fixing.

  • HT201301 Can't access PDFs shared to Kindle app

    I can't access PDFs shared through iTunes on my Kindle app on ipod touch - they don't appear. Have used file sharing successfully with Pages, so can't figure out why this won't work ;/

    We are doing this without issue. You neglect to specify the errors seen on both sides, and how you are trying to gain access.
    The issue is that your are most likely NOT being prompted for credentials. Use the NET USE command supplying the proper user ID and Password to create the drive letter. And a couple things you MUST do: Disable Op Locks on the SAMBA server. Here are snippet from a working /etc/samba/smb.conf for our grpwise share. And disable the rest of the samba shares ( login, etc... ) these should be commended out in your smb.conf. So in the end you should have a [global] section and a section for your share.
    Code:
    [grpwise]
    comment = Transfer
    inherit acls = Yes
    path = /grpwise
    read only = No
    oplocks = False
    level2oplocks = False
    From the W2K8 server...
    net use G: \\10.10.10.123\grpwise * /user:root /savecred /persistent:yes
    * means "Prompt for Password" Oh Horrors! Using the SuSE boxes root user! You can avoid that by provisioning a user in SLES and then creating them a SAMBA password ( Google is your friend ) and then you can use that user / password. Now you will have a persistent drive what should come back.

  • Pdf sharing option

    Hi,
    Need to know the option for sharing the pdf by multiusers while using same time.

    Two points:
    # If you've already downloaded the file, Firefox doesn't control how it's opened, so Options > Applications won't do anything. You'll need to change the setting at the Windows level.
    # If you're viewing an embedded PDF, it'll load with a plugin (which Adobe has but Foxit does not) so it'll load with Adobe and not Foxit.

  • PDF - Sharing Data?

    Ok, here's the background and my dilemma:  I work for a non-profit organization and we have employees filling out forms (protected MS Word Documents)  for our various clients in different departments.  Being the resident computer/IT guy, I was asked if we could translate a few of those forms into PDFs.  This wasn't a problem for me.  I do my Acrobat work on my PowerMac, but 98% of my users are PC.  I created the PDFs based on the MS Word Doc, they staff can open the PDF, type in the information, save as their file, print, etc.  No problems there.
    The problem is that I've been asked, and now after struggling for a few days to accomplish this, how to export the data from one completed PDF and import it into another PDF.
    For example, I have a Case Manager fill out information on a client referral in a PDF , save it as a PDF named for the client.  Now (and what they're really asking me to accomplish) they don't want to spend all that time filling out another PDF when some of the information is already on the initial form.  I don't need that whole "submitting information" capability that building a "PDF Form" curtails.  The information just needs to be transferred from one PDF to another.
    I know we have some PDFs in use from the US Government that I can have someone fill out, save as, then export the data in FDF file form, and then import that data to another (USGov) form.  So what am I missing here?  Why can't I seem to do the same?
    Any thoughts/insight would be helpful.  Thank you in advance for your efforts on my behalf.

    Is this being done with Reader, or do your users have Acrobat? If Reader, it could be that the forms have additional usage rights which allow Reader to export form data. It normally cannot do this, and Acrobat cannot apply this particular usage right. LiveCycle Reader Extensions can, but it isn't inexpensive. To confirm this, can you provide a link to one of the forms that allows this?
    You can set up the documents so that you can use JavaScript to copy form data from one to another. The documents that you want to copy data from need to set their "disclosed" property to true, and the documents that want to copy data need to have a script that checks the open documents to see if the one it needs to copy from is opened (using app.activeDocs), and then copy the field values into its own.

  • SOA EDG E12036.pdf : Sharing WL_HOME and ORACLE_HOME

    I am facing a weird problem and need help.
    I have 7 physical servers and 2 sets of binaries in shared storage. The 7 servers are : 1 admin server, 2 SOA servers, 2 OSB Servers and 2 BAM servers.
    Since the node manager is under $WL_HOME/common/nodemanager, all the properties file like nodemanager.properties, nodemanager.domains etc are shared. What I am noticing is, the domains are getting overwritten.
    Let us say, I am enrolling the domain in soa server1 then it gets enrolled properly. Next, when I enroll the domain for OSB server1 with OSB domain name, it changes. Is this the expected behavior?
    Thanks
    Shanthi

    If you are following the SOA EDG as the title of your question reflects, you will see we do not use nmenrolll anywhere in it. By using pack/unpack in the different nodes we get nm domains updated....

  • Error Message when trying to download a PDF

    I uploaded a PDF, shared the file & then tried to download the file. I get the following error message:

    I tried to download the original uploaded file and received the same error message. I tried downloading using both Firefox & Safari. I had no problems downloading the User Guide. Any Ideas?
    Thanks!

    I had the same problem.  Deleted the files and re-uploaded and converted to pdf.  I am still getting the same error message when I try to download the converted pdf file.  I tried other files which have worked great,...just not this one particular file.  Please advise.

  • Acrobat 9 Shared Review on a LARGE scale - help!

    We have a client that is looking to deploy PDF Shared Review company-wide. It will be a mix of Macs and PCs initiating reviews so Sharepoint does not look to be an option. At this point, it appears that WebDAV is the way to go. I suppose the concern is how well the network will handle the volume of HTTP requests as I understand that through WebDAV, the entire FDF is downloaded when using browser-based reviews.
    They currently perform email-based reviews, where the PDF is sent to all the reviewers, who comment individually, then send their comments back. The initiator then consolidates the reviews into the original PDF. Obviously one of the issues is that the reviewers do not get to see each other's reviews, potentially causing duplicate comments.
    I need to know what kind of resources are required for the following scenario...
    - approximately 25 to 30 concurrent reviews at any one time
    - 10 to 15 users per review
    - expecting 450+ reviews per month overlapping for apx 3000 per year
    - office located in Toronto, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Mexico
    - they would be running WebDAV on a Windows server
    - is there load balancing to be considered?
    - can they use a VM?
    - timelines to deploy the solution
    They are also concerned that users will have their machines filled with downloaded PDFs. Is there a way to force the reviewers to only use the browser plug-ins versus Reader or Acrobat. It's assumed that using the browser plug-ins will only hold the PDF in a temp folder, while still allow the reviewer to perform the commenting.
    All the required software looks to be in place, so I'm assuming most of the cost will come from configuration, deployment and training.
    I reviewed the document from the dev center -- http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/online_collaboration.pdf
    I was hoping to find some better resources out there that provide a more step-by-step process...

    Can anyone at least point me to any other resources that assist in finding some answers?
    I appreciate any help you guys and gals can give me...

  • Shared Review End Review, Deadline not working in Acrobat Pro 9 for Acrobat Reader 8 reviewers

    I am testing the features of PDF Shared Reviews on a network server using Acrobat Pro 9 with reviewers using Acrobat Reader 8.1. (All are Windows users.) After initiating the review via the Tracker and having no problem getting the reviewers to comment and publish, I select End Review in the Tracker. Acrobat Pro 9 registers this action and shows that the review has ended in the yellow bar at the top of the PDF and in the Tracker. However, all the reviewers using Acrobat Reader 8 can continue to comment, publish their comments, and the comments continue to show up in the PDF posted in the network folder. That PDF file continues to say, when opened in Acrobat Pro 9 by the initiator, that it is closed for reviewing. The comments published after the review has ended continue to show up. This is true minutes, hours, and days after the review has been ended so is not a synch problem.
    I cannot add comments to this PDF in Acrobat Pro 9 because Acroat Pro registers the end of the review. I can open this file in Acrobat Reader 8 on my computer and continue to add comments. This same problem exists after the deadline set initially has passed. Acrobat Reader 8 users are always able to comment and publish comments when the review should have been ended for them.
    How do I get the reviews to end for Acrobat Reader 8 users?
    Thanks.
    Mary-Nell

    Those users will have to upgrade to Reader 9 to get the deadlines working

  • Acrobat "Send for Shared Review" - Reviewing with Adobe Reader?

    Hello all,
    I am experimenting with Acrobat's collaboration function and I think I am almost there...
    1) I built a webDAV server
    2) Authenticated the document with the webDAV server.
    3) Tested making edits to the document locally... in both Acrobat and Reader (I had to Save As Other the PDF as a Reader Extended Document)
    4) Now, I think I have one last hurdle to overcome.
       When another user received the test file, I was dismayed that PDF asked the user for the webDAV user name and password. Why? This security information should be stored in the document. It should automatically log into the webDAV server.
    Anyhow, once the login information was provided, the reviewer can successfully enter comments into the document. So... sort of success. :]
    I just need to solve that login problem because I can't be giving out the user name and password to the webDAV server.
    Any ideas?

    Sabian Zildjian wrote:
    Yes,  it is.  Especially just about every WebDAV interface uses SSL/HTTPS to authenticate for access.
    I understand that. Perhaps I am not explaining myself (or not understanding your reply)
    What I am bothered by is that when the reviewer opens the PDF document, in Adobe Reader, the reader is asked to enter the user name and password of the webDAV server and then they are asked to enter their user name, email address, etc. That is a lot of steps I would love to eliminate in order to make the review process as easy and seamless as possible.
    If anything, I would love to embed the webDAV authentication into the PDF.
    Shall I presume that you are using PDF Shared Reviews with a webDAV server? Do your reviewers have to first enter the webDAV's user name and password and then second, enter their personal information, every time they wish to review a document?

  • Attachments don't open in PDF review

    Hello,
    I cannot open any of the attachments in my  PDF shared review (I use Acrobat X). All our reviews are stored on a sharepoint site, btw.
    I see all the attachment icons (paperclips/push pins) but when I double click on them (or right click, 'open file'), nothing happens.
    I checked the 'attachments' folder that is automatically created when you start a shared review, and it shows all the attached files (in .bin format) just like all my other reviews, however for some obscure reason I can't open them in the review. Could someone shed some light on this?
    Thanks for your help

  • Acrobat can't access shared review data on WebDAV

    Now I'm trying to setup shared review environment using WebDAV.
    but, only when i use acrobat on MacOSX, can't access review data.
    when i use windows this problem doesn't happen.
    Does anyone know the any of reasons, workarounds?
    * Environment
    DAV Server : Apache 2.2.3 (mod_dav, mod_dav_fs) on CentOS 5.6
    Client : Mac OSX 10.6.8
    Acrobat : Acrobat Pro 10.0.0
    * Repro Steps
    1. Open Safari
    2. Access to WebDAV Url
    3. Acrobat (plugin) on Safari seems to open pdf file correctly, but error dialog is appeared.
        dialog says "can't connect to ... (in Japanese)"
    * Additional Info
    I can uploaded pdf file to WebDAV folder with this(MacOSX) client. (use Shared review wizard of Acrobat)
    I can access review data when I use Windows(XP Pro, Acrobat X Pro and Acrobat Reader X 10.1.0)
    WebDAV server 100% passed litmus(server protocol compliance test suite)
       litmus : http://www.webdav.org/neon/litmus/
    This problem occured both of via http and via https.

    A similar issue was fixed in Acrobat 10.1 patch. Download and install the patch from Adobe website and see if your issue is resolved.
    I installed Acrobat Reader 10.1.0 on the above Mac (I didn't apply the patch). but the same problem reproduced with this Acrobat Reader.
    ( get the Dialog box which says "Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server ..." )
    Then I changed the following preferences, This problem has not been solved yet.
    1. Security(Enhanced)
        Add webdav host to Privileged Locations.
    2. Trust Manager -> Internet Access ...
       Click 'Change Settings...', then Allow webdav site address.
    I verified the followings.
    1. MacOSX Safari can't access to PDF(Shared Review) properly.
    After the installing Adobe Reader 10.1.0, while loading pdf, progress bar of Acrobat Reader Plugin began to not progress (not finished to open).
    When I open the PDF(not for Shared Review), Reader Plugin can open it correctly.
    (I verified Safari's installed plugin setting for pdf  is "Adobe Acrobat Plug-in, Version 10.1.0")
    *I verified the following 2-4 with Firefox on MacOSX.
    2. I checked http access log (of webdav server), but there are no access logs from (MacOSX's) Adobe Synchronizer.(I verified this when the firewall of MacOSX was disabled)
    3. Access to PDF file is working properly (Acorobat Reader on MacOSX can display PDF (but shared review data are not)).
    4. When I accessed from Windows XP(Acrobat Reader), like the following http access log has been recorded.
    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - suda [22/Sep/2011:15:41:55 +0900] "GET /webdavtest/2/413/1/NEW_0003_review.pdf__735c6012134e4f9f9fbdebb4b9029b39/masao.suda.at.i nteraction-i.co.jp.xml HTTP/1.1" 304 - "-" "Mozilla/3.0 (compatible; Adobe Synchronizer 10.1.1)"
    It seems that Adobe Synchronizer on MacOSX (Adobe Resource Synchronizer) doesn't work properly.
    In the previous post. Once I (and my co-worker) verified this was solved certainly.
    I found similar issue (  http://forums.adobe.com/thread/850377 ). was this problem solved?

  • Moving voice memos from iPhone to pc

    I have tried looking but it seems the only "how-to" is based on old versions of iTunes, not ver 12.1.1.4
    Can anyone assist with this?

    Hello there, Amun67.
    The answer you are looking for is found in the iPhone user's guide on Page 106:

    Sharing voice memos with your computer
    You can sync voice memos with the primary iTunes library on your computer, then listen to
    memos on your computer or sync them with another iPhone or iPod touch.
    When you delete a synced memo from iTunes, it stays on the device where it was recorded, but is deleted from any other iPhone or iPod touch you synced. If you delete a synced memo on iPhone, it's copied back to iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes, but you can’t sync that copy back to iTunes a second time.
    Sync voice memos with iTunes: Connect iPhone to your computer, then in iTunes select iPhone. Select Music at the top of the screen (between Apps and Movies), select Sync Music, select “Include voice memos,” and click Apply.
