PDF Text Blurry Fuzzy... but only on one machine...

I could really use your assistance. When viewing a PDF, one user can see the PDF text with great clarity, but the same PDF viewed by other users, the text appears fuzzy / blurry. I've tried to massaged about every Preference I could (within Acrobat) and through Windows 2003, but nothing worked.
The machines (corporate image) are (should be) identical as is the hardware.
Has anyone successfully resolved this issue?

I've installed the RAW Compatibility Update nonetheless, but no joy.
I did a consistency check on the database and nothing came up. Then I did a rebuild and it almost worked. Luckily, I did this on a copy of the library. It removed most of my images from my library, but those that remained (which were a seemingly random subset of my whole library) were fine.
I'm now making another copy of the library from the Time Capsule
It's strange that it would be a problem with the database if it works fine on my MBP, don't you think?
I'm out of ideas!

Unsupported Image Format - but only on one machine ....

Hi,
I imported some images into my Aperture library last night. The library is located on a Time Capsule which has over 300Gb of free space. Overnight, I left it processing thumbnails and in the morning I woke to a message reporting I was running critically low on disk space. Which I wasn't, still over 300Gb. How odd. Anyhow, since then, I've not been able to open ANY of the images within the library. All, going back to 2006 which have been working fine until now, come up with the "Unsupported Image format" message.
I have rebooted my Mac, rebooted my Time Capsule, copied the library to the desktop of my Mac, deleted my preferences file, but nothing works. I tried to create a new project and that was fine. I imported one of the images from my camera and that worked fine in the new project. I tried copying the project file from my existing library to the new one - and I get unsupported image format.
So, I started to panic - you're not telling me I've lost ALL my photos since 2006?! But then I tried looking at the library on the Time Capsule from my Macbook Pro. It worked fine.
So it seems that the problem isn't so much with the library as with something in the Aperture install on my iMac which has become corrupted.
Any ideas on how to give it a kick up the bum (I'd prefer not to have to reinstall).
Also, this has kinda scared me. If the library fails, I'll lose all my photos? That's pretty cruddy. Can I make Aperture store my photos as individual files rather than one big library, so I can recover them if the library becomes corrupted?

N80 System Error on Sync...but only on one machine...

Hey all,
I just started getting the dreaded "System Error" when syncing my N80 (up-to-date firmware) with PC Suite (up-to-date) on an XP box. I've read all the posts on this topic I could find, and in the past, I've always just shrugged, formatted, and gone on with my life...
But this time is weird - this time, it happens when I cable sync to my work machine, but NOT when I bluetooth sync to my home machine. Wah-huh?
Anyone have any advice on what to look for on the cable-sync (Nokia-approved USB cord) machine? I'd love to avoid formatting once again...

This is my problem to. I try to syncronize my N80 with Outlook. I have PC Suite 6.84.10.3 on XP SP2.
Syncronizing allways stops after 1369 elements, program displays "Waiting for Nokia N80..." while phone displays "System error".

E-Mail Issues: Retrieved E-Mails deleting off server but only on one of two accounts

I am the proud owner of a Z10 as of 4 days ago. So far, it's a great device, but I've got one problem. I want the e-mail messages retrieved on my phone to stay on the server, and this is working, but only for one account.
I setup my two e-mail accounts, Comcast and GMail, both as POP accounts. I did not setup GMail as IMAP. I tested the connections to see that the messages were properly retrieved on the phone, then I logged into each account to see that the messages were staying on the server. It appeared as though they were, but apparently I didn't wait long enough on the GMail account because the messages were being deleted from the server and I didn't notice this for 3 days. Again, my phone is NOT doing this for my Comcast account and I don't know why.
I have about 10 e-mails now on my phone in my GMail account that I can't seem to get back on the GMail server. I need to do this so I can download the messages to my home server where all my mail is stored.
I thought maybe I could create a second IMAP GMail account in the hub and copy the messages from one account to the other, but I can't.
If I continue to let the phone get those messages, they'll continue to be removed from the server.
If I forward them to myself, then they just show up as having come from me and that's not what I need either.
If I delete the account entirely, I lose my messages and that's definitely not what I want.
I thought I could tell the phone to stop logging into the GMail account by updating the password on the device, but it has to authenticate to the server to confirm that the password is correct, and if it isn't, it won't take the password and returns an error.
So far, the only thing I've been able to do to get the phone to stop retrieving the messages is to change my GMail password and not update it on the phone. That way, the phone can't sign in to GMail at all and get any new mail. However, I still have these 10 messages on my device that I need to export somehow.
Is there a way to export mail on this device? Is there a way to copy messages from account to account? What directory is the mail stored in and what file format is it stored in? Can I convert the messages to .csv and do it that way? And why did this happen only for my GMail POP account and not Comcast?

This is a wi-fi network connection problem - not a problem with an email account.
Do you have cellular reception at home? If so, you should be able to receive email with both email accounts as long as you have an internet connection with the cellular network.
On your iPhone go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings.
This will delete all wi-fi network settings from your iPhone for every wi-fi network you have successfully connected your iPhone with.
After doing so check if your wi-fi network is available again to re-join.

One of the problems that comes with these tricks for variable-rate acquisition is being able to match up sample data with the time that it was sampled.
If you weren't using either of E-series board's counters, there is a nifty solution to this! You'll be using 1 of the counters to generate the variable-rate sampling clock. You can then use the 2nd counter to perform a buffered period measurement on the output of the 1st counter. This gives you a hw-timed measurement of every sampling interval. You would need to keep track of a cumulative sum of these periods to generate a hw-accurate timestamp value for each sample.
Note: the very first buffered period measurement is the time from starting the 2nd counter until the first active edge from the 1st. For your app, you should ignore it.

When creating a PDF from the scanner, it only scans one side despite the settings.

When creating a PDF from the scanner, it only scans one side. I am using a fi-7160 that supports scanning both sides at once. The Scanner software is configured to scan both sides, and so are the presets in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I've only gotten the setting to work with the Custom Scan setting. Has anyone else had this problem, and what is the solution?
Additionally, the software bundled with the scanner with automatically omit the back sides of a page if it is blank. I am scanning large files with occasional double sided pages. Is there a way to avoid having to manually delete blank pages when creating a new PDF from the scanner? It takes twice as long because I'm using the OCR stabilization.

Does this happen in case of any particular PDF or all PDF files?
Try repairing Acrobat and then again check.

IPhone and MacBook Pro but only have one Apple account

Brand new to the MacBook Pro world. First Apple laptop (or Apple computer at all for that matter) so of course I have some questions. I think I am correct in saying that basically each Apple device has to be separate and apart from another even if they reside in the same household. Meaning that each one has to be logged on to a separate and unique Apple account and email address for things like Facetime and iMessage to work properly. So, with that said......If I personally own the iPhone and MacBook Pro but only have one Apple account how can I make them both work separately and independent of each other??? The problem I've noticed is that Facetime and iMessage do not work and conflict with each of the two devices.

Congratulations, and welcome to the Mac World. Actually, you can use an Apple ID, together with iCloud to make your devices work together. Both devices can be connected to the same Apple ID, and use Facetime, Messages, and email together.
As long as both of your devices are updated to the latest OS, OS X 10.9 Mavericks for your MacBook and iOS 7.0.4 for your iPhone, you can:
On Mac:
     1. Open System Preferences-iCloud
     2. There should be a button somewhere that says, "Add Account".
     3. Use your Apple ID to log in.
     4. Make sure to enable your Messages, Facetime, and email accounts.
     5. There is no Step 5.
On iPhone:
     1. Open Settings-iCloud.
     2. There should be a button somewhere that says, "Add Account".

Safari stalls, but only on one user account

I am having a problem with web browsers, but only on one particular user account. Safari will usually (>90% of the time) stall after the blue bar loads 1/4 to 1/3 of the way. It will hang permanently and never complete loading the page. This happens primarily when I click on a link in any web page. I can sometimes (<25% of the time) go to a page by typing the URL in the address bar. This happens with any browser (Safari, Thunderbird, Google Chrome) with this user account. On all other user accounts, all web browsers work normally. The user account that is giving me trouble is the one with all of our photos, documents, etc., so would prefer not to simply delete this account and create a new one.
I have already tried emptying the cache, disabling the cache, restarting the computer, updating to the latest version of OS X, clearing history and website data, etc.
I have a mid-2011 iMac 12,1 with 2.7 GHz Intel core i5 processor and 20 GB of memory. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and Safari 8.0.4. I have a 1 TB hard drive with 630 GB available.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure if we will implement this. Sharing all the tabs you have open have many more security and privacy issues. Someone forgets that they had a tab open they did not want to share or miss-clicks on the share all option.
We are looking into better ways to share tabs with devices that are nearby. Especially if they are on the same WiFi network.

You may have t opurchase one. Some only do a limited number of transfers without paying.
- Make a backup of yur iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under devices in iTunes and selecing Backup.
- Restore the iPod from that backup.

Updates can be performed through your account and are usually performed via Software Update.
Messages should not be popping up in your wife's account if all the iWork updates have been performed.
Go to Software Update and download and install all the iWork updates.
Unless you keep OSX up-to-date, messages will continue to come up when your wife logs into her account.

ITunes "uploads" music to iPod, but only loads one or two songs

Hey, I've got somewhat of a problem on my hands.
Whenever I attempt to update my iPod with all the songs in my iTunes library (I restored my iPod recently, losing all of the songs on it), it'll update like nothing was wrong. This will continue for a while, but mid-way through the song upload process, the loading will stop and I'll get a "iPod update complete" message. When I look at my iPod, it will only show one or two new songs have been uploaded onto it.
What can I do to fix this?

hmmmm. do you have any other USB 2.0 peripherals plugged in to the PC?
if so, try (experimentally) disconnecting them prior to a sync. (sometimes power drain through one port can affect an ipod connection on a different port.)
any improvement in sync performance if you try that?
